A/N: I made some grammar mistakes in my last chapter that give me anxiety. I have no idea how they escape me. What a pain.

THE CASE ll

Alex groaned quietly as the carriage pulled up to the mansion. He really didn't want to get out of this carriage. While Grell and Lau told him he looked fine, he couldn't help but feel embarrassed at the strange clothing they provided him. Not only that, but Grell had put on so many layers on him, Alex couldn't even tell what was what.

What Alex did know was that Grell had stuffed him into a weird, white nightgown looking thing, a petticoat, a corset, some weird padding around his hips, another damn petticoat, some odd stiff piece of decorative fabric that was pinned to his corset, a red tiered skirt with black lace decorating the front with elaborate designs while the back was invaded by black ruffles and finally a...jacket-looking thing that had some very expensive looking gold buttons. He wondered if anyone would notice if he took one off. Probably. The only good part was that Madam Red was kind enough to offer a pair of black evening gloves and a fan that looked really cute with his outfit.

When he had looked in the mirror, he didn't even recognize himself. They had even changed his wig. It was now in a fancy up-do with very expensive golden hair pieces embedded in. There was way too much gold on him to not steal some. The angel on his left shoulder, though, said that it wasn't right to steal so he decided to focus on something else before the devil on his right decided to kill the angel and convince him stealing was okay.

The heels that Grell shoved him in were hurting his feet so bad. How Ciel was walking so perfectly in his heels, he'd never know. Speaking of the earl, Alex got to experience the corset scene that had everyone in the fandom in a flurry. While he wasn't physically there, he got to hear the shouts of the boy getting his inside squeezed. It was a good moment.

Until Grell did it to him. It was a good life lesson. Don't make fun of children because God is petty and he will punish you for it.

Anyways, Madam Red had assigned roles to each of them. Lau would be her lover, Ciel her niece, Sebastian would be Ciel's tutor, Alex would be Ciel's foreign childhood friend and Grell would be...a butler. Grell didn't look too happy about that. If she wanted to wear a dress then she should have said something! They could have traded places. The damn corset felt like it was suffocating him. Ciel was having a hissy fit about being Madam Red's niece despite being in the same situation. Alex had to applaud that he had enough air to complain.

"Did the young master not say to "use any means necessary"?" Sebastian said, finally having enough of Ciel's complaining.

Ciel just glared. Alex had to cover his mouth at the sick burn.

Seeing that Ciel wasn't going to protest anymore, Sebastian gestured for them to enter the grand double doors.

"Then shall we go? My lady." Sebastian said, a satisfied smirk on his face as Ciel's glare intensified.

The room was decorated quite beautifully. It was large, clean and Alex felt completely out of place. His apartment was smaller than this room alone. It made him feel small and a little lonely. June would have loved to see a room so extravagant. She would have probably freaked out about the dresses as well. She really loved Victorian Era clothes. Caz would have been by the dessert table, trying all the sweets and figuring out what ingredients the chef may have used. He really enjoyed baking.

Alex blinked rapidly. He couldn't ruin his make-up by crying right now.

"Ugh...I really do not want my fiance to see me like this…" Ciel mumbled miserably as they weaved through the crowd.

Alex looked down at the suffering earl at his side.

'Well...' Alex thought. 'he is in for a nasty surprise.'

Sure enough, the high-pitched voice of one Elizabeth Miford rang faintly behind him. Alex could hear her compliment a few of the women's dresses and Ciel was looking even more uncomfortable with each one.

"I must be hearing things…"

"That is a beautiful headpiece ma'am!"

Ciel and Senastian both looked behind them in shock. Alex sighed as Elizabeth swooned over all the pretty dresses. She was getting closer to them and Ciel looked ready to have a heart attack. Sebastian, a bit flustered, tried to usher him quietly but quickly in the opposite direction. Alex just silently followed, completely forgotten about.

"Wow! That lady's red dress is absolutely gorgeous." Elizabeth squealed loudly.

Alex looked around him, wondering who Elizabeth was talking about. Oddly enough, he didn't see anybody wearing a red dress besides--

'Crap! She's talking about me! This isn't in the anime, what the hell!?', Alex thought frantically.

Ciel and Sebastian both looked over at him in distress. They both began to slowly inch away from him but Alex grasped at Sebastain's sleeve desperately. His anxiety would go through the roof if they left him in an unfamiliar crowd!

"Let go you idiot! That's my fiance, just distract her!" Ciel whispered furiously.

"You kidding me? I am this close," Alex pinched his fingers together for emphasis" to having a meltdown! I can't!" Alex whispered back anxiously, forgetting himself at the moment.

"Let us go this way." Sebastian said, gently guiding Ciel and Alex further into the crowd before ducking behind one of the tables that held a large, white cake.

'Wow, that smells good. I wonder if I just--'

Ciel and Sebastian peeked around the cake and saw Elizabeth looking back and forth, trying to find Alex. They sighed contently when the girl went in the opposite direction from where they had hid. Ciel clutched at the table cloth and turned towards Alex to tell him that they were safe, only to find him using his ungloved finger to dip into the cake on the table. Alex saw Ciel scowling from his peripheral vision but ignored him in favor of eating more cake. Some things were just more important than your fiance finding out you crossdress.

"Why is Elizabeth here?" Ciel asked nervously. Alex wouldn't lie, Ciel having a crisis was the only thing going right since this weird dream of his started. This is how Alex knew he was going to hell. "Anyway...let's go to where the ladies are."

"You mean over there?" Alex asked, mouth full of frosting, pointing to where he spotted a similar colored dress to his own. Madam Red was lounging on a lavish chair, laughing at whatever the guests were talking about while Lau fanned her with a large leaf.

'Where did that leaf come from?', Alex wondered vaguely.

Ciel groaned at his aunt before looking down at his attire. His previous grip on the table cloth was getting tighter.

"Regardless of the disguise, if we were to meet…." Ciel trailed off.

"You'll be found out." Sebastian affirmed.

"If she found out, I wouldn't be able to investigate!"

"Furthermore, everyone here will find out the young lady is, in fact, a "young master"."

Alex watched as Ciel had a full meltdown. He sighed, now feeling a bit bad that Ciel was under this much pressure. Even if it was kinda funny. Some of the women to their right were talking about the Viscount and his "beauty". Alex tapped Ciel's shoulder, gesturing for him to quiet down and listen to the women gush about their target. The Viscount, Aleister Chamber, was hanging around with a couple of men, sipping on a glass of champagne.

"I'm going over to greet him." Ciel whispered.

"It may be best if you take Alex with you since both of you currently appear as women. If there's a man with you, he'll have his guard up so I'll be waiting for you here. Please, the both of you, act like a proper lady." Sebastian instructed.

Ciel must have been having flashbacks of the horrendous lessons he had to go through for this moment because he just whimpered a quiet "I know" before slowly making his way over to the Viscount. Alex followed just as slowly, not at all enthusiastic to have someone like Aleister eyeing him.

"G-good evening." Ciel stuttered out in a weird high-pitch voice. Alex assumed that was his impression of a girl. Sounded more like the awkward puberty voice crack though.

"Ah! That pink dress is so cute! Oh, the lady in the red dress is there too!" Elizabeth's voice sent a bolt of panic in both boys.

The difference here was that Ciel had enough common sense to run back to Sebastian while Alex--still in a panic--forgot to lift his skirts, which ended with him tripping and grabbing the first thing in the vicinity...the Viscount. The good news was that Aleister was strong enough to hold Alex before they both collided on the floor. The bad news was that now the plan was ruined. Sure, Alex knew what Ciel did in the anime but that meant flirting with the man. He wasn't sure if Sebastian was aware, but he couldn't flirt to save his life. It was too embarrassing.

"Are you alright, my lady? That was quite a tumble you took." Aleister asked with a "charming" smile.

Alex scrambled to straighten himself, trying to get out of the man's arms, which were holding his waist to steady him. He whispered a quiet "fine" and looked down at Aleister's shoes, silently panicking. This is why he liked to trash talk about people in his head, talking was way too hard.

"Are you all alone? A beauty such as yourself?" Aleister complimented, the glittering prince facade blinding him for a moment.

Alex could see Ciel and Sebastain looking at him worriedly from behind the Viscount. They were making gestures at him to talk or do something!. He bit his lip before taking a deep breath and looking up, what he hoped appeared, innocently. Alex tried to utilize one of the oldest anime cliches in the book. Hands balled into fists, tilted at a 45 degree angle outward, under his chi

He admitted that he liked doing the pose in the mirror when he felt particularly cute.

"I-I hope I am not bothering you my lord. I just wanted some company tonight." Alex said, trying to make his voice as sweet and meek as possible.

Aleister hummed, amused at his words. The Viscount leaned closer towards Alex and very slowly wrapped his arm around his waist. A shiver went down Alex's spine, a bit creeped out that someone would willingly touch another human being on purpose. Fingers began to make their way up higher, to the point they were just inches from his chest.

'Should I just punch him or wait until he realizes I have no breasts then punch him…'

Alex knew that he had to entice the Viscount someway or another, no matter what the cost. Pride be damned! He was just thankful that there were no video cameras in this era. What he was going to do was absolutely humiliating. The things he did for Ciel.

With a sigh he resigned to his fate.

"Quit fussing with it so much!" Alex's hand was slapped away from the blue ribbon in his hair. His nerves had been on the fritz because they were going to a restaurant that they had never been before. Alex was a creature of habit and he didn't like to break those habits.

"Couldn't we have just gone where we usually go?" Alex asked grumpily, looking out the window of their car to watch the buildings go by.

"I'm trying to be romantic here! I don't think McDonald's is the place for that."

Alex looked over at the guy next to him. Yes, they were definitely male. The voice was deep and he could see the slim, but muscular build underneath the trenchcoat they were wearing. For some reason, his face was blurry. The thought of not being able to see this person's face made Alex want to cry. Why couldn't he see his face?

"I don't like new places." Alex complained again. Why was he saying this in the first place? What was he doing here?

The guy laughed. "Trust me. You'll love this place." He promised. " It has your favorite dish too!"

Alex gasped excitedly and clapped his hands in happiness."It has pupusas! I haven't had any in such a long time!" Alex drooled at the thought of such a heavenly meal entering his mouth so soon.

"It's a quiet but nice place. A buddy of mine works there and told me about it."

Alex looked at him and his heart squeezed tightly in what he could only say was love. He loved this person. So why could he not remember his face? He wanted to ask, but his mouth wouldn't form the words. Instead, his mouth kept on smiling.

"I love you." Alex said fondly.

The world around them darkened and the buildings passing through the windows were blown away like sand. The noises dulled and the car disappeared. Now it was just them. Those three words hanging in the air. Alex just continued to smile, despite his thoughts racing with so many questions that he was just about ready to burst.

The blurry face began to focus and Alex could already begin to see the outline of his face before the ground opened and he began to fall into a pit with nothing but black. In the back of his mind, he knew he had felt this sensation before. It seemed like an eternity ago. A scream tore out of him, hand reaching out to grasp at the light that grew smaller and with it, taking that person he loved so much.

"I love you too, Rosa."

Alex woke with a gasp. It was dark but some light from the moon leaked through the gap of the curtains. He sat up, immediately feeling pain in his feet and wrists. Looking down, he saw that there were red marks on his wrists and his feet were swollen. That was not the only new addition to his body. He had been changed out of his evening clothes and into a long, white nightgown. It was a bit big, now that he stood up, the sleeves too long and it kept slipping from his shoulders. Alex shuffled over to the door, opening it a bit so he could peek outside. The hallway was empty and completely dark. A bit unnerved but curious, he cautiously stepped out and slowly walked down the hallway, trying not to make a sound.

Eventually, the hallway ended and he was met with a staircase. Peeking down the stairs, yet not fulling leaving the first few steps, Alex could see a cracking fire in the living room. On a large armchair, Lau sat adjacent to the fire, smoking his pipe.

"Boss?" Alex whispered. He quickly came down the last few steps of stairs and looked at the man in confusion. What had happened?

"I see you're awake." Lau said. "Care to take a seat?"

Lau gestured to another armchair, similar to the one he himself sat on. Alex, with his swollen feet, could hardly refuse the offer. He plopped down, a bit undignified, and let out a breath of contentment that he was no longer on his feet.

"I'm sure you're wondering what happened to you, correct?" Lau inquired.

Alex debated whether he wanted to sit here for the next hour or not while Lau told him about Aleister drugging him, bounding him and probably about to get sold off to a bunch of disgusting rich people who had nothing better to do with their lives.Or just wrap himself in the nice soft blanket that was calling his name.

"Hmm? Wait...where are you going, Alex?"

'It's too late for this bullshit. I'm going back to sleep.'

A/N: I made this story with the intention of just seeing wherever the hell it would lead me. Now, it's actually shaping to have some sort of plot. We actually get to see a bit of Alex's memories? I'm not sure what it is at this point. Also, I went back and modified chapter one a bit because I didn't like how I worded a part of it so I changed it. It was kinda tasteless now that I look back on it...so that happened. By the way, I hate describing clothing so I'm really bad at it and I hate the description of Alex's dress. Whatever. That's what imagination is for anyway!
