"Nezuko-chaaaan," Zenitsu whined as Nezuko hugged her brother goodbye.

They had thought all of the demons had died with Muzan, but the disturbance could only be described as demonic. Still, with how evolved some of the demons got, it wasn't out of the realm of possibility that a demon survived. And so, Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Tanjiro were sent to go and see what was up. Tanjiro was there mostly for moral support, as his injuries made it so he still couldn't fully use his hand. Well, moral support and keeping the other two on track.

"No hug for me?" Zenitsu continued.

Nezuko just giggled and patted him on the head like a child. Her hypnosis was still in effect to some extent and she viewed Inosuke and Zenitsu as her little brothers. Much to Inosuke's confusion and Zenitsu's dissapointment.

"Stay safe!" she said in parting, and left to help out the others at the butterfly estate.

So they started their way to the disturbance. It wasn't long before an argument started though.

"Tanjiro! Why is your sister so rude?" Zenitsu accused.

"Who are you to call my sister rude?!" Tanjiro burst.

"Yeah! Even though my underling is weaker than before, she isn't rude!" Inosuke also yelled.

Zenitsu cowered. "It's not my fault, I keep asking her to marry me, and she keeps not responding."

"She's too young to get married!" Tanjiro continued, "So are you!"

"I'm nearly 17, long overdue for getting married."

"17?" Tanjiro asked, had so many years passed already?

"Besides how can you scold me when you're flirting with Kanao?"

Tanjiro looked confused and then turned red. "It's not like that, we just-"

"Not like that? Am I supposed to believe that? Huuhhh?"

Inosuke, who'd been uncharacteristically quiet, spoke up for the first time.

"What's the deal even with marriage?"

The arguing pair didn't think much of their boar headed friend's question, it was almost expected that Inosuke didn't know the finer aspects of human culture. However, both young men were almost offended by their friend's seeming disillusionment with marriage.

"It's really nice Inosuke!" Zenitsu insisted, "A wife will make you food and keep you warm at night, and-"

"And be your companion throughout life!" Tanjiro said, "You'll raise your children together."

"So that's why he wants to get married," Zenitsu said slyly.

Tanjiro didn't catch the double meaning, and continued with, "I always wanted a big family like I grew up in. So I guess getting married younger would make sense…"

Even with the pig mask covering his face, the blank look could still be felt. None of this was sinking in.

"Inosuke, were you just asking what marriage is?" Tanjiro asked.

Inosuke tilted his head, "Zebutio always is talking about it, so I thought it was that."

"That?" Tanjiro asked.

"You know, that. You were talking about it too, how babies are made. So you want to do that a lot with Kanao!" Inosuke said loudly.

Tanjiro finally caught on and turned red. "Marriage is more than just that! It's forever! You choose one person to share your life with."

"But flamboyant guy had like three wives."

"Uzui is…" Tanjiro thought about how to explain that, "Odd."

"And he doesn't have any kids!" Inosuke said as though it was damning evidence.

"Some people can't have kids," Tanjiro explained.

"After hearing how big your family was, and how big Kanao's family, I doubt you'll have that trouble." Zenitsu said with envy. Not for their fertility, but for his want of a relationship. "And considering how powerful they both are, their kids would be insanely powerful!"

"Powerful?!" Inosuke asked as if that changed everything, "No, no way Gampachiro's kids will be more powerful than mine!"

"That's not-" Tanjiro started, but Inosuke was already thinking to his hardest extent.

"Nezika used to be really powerful, but now that she's a human she's just average," Inosuke said to himself, "Kanon is also powerful, but she's going to marry Panjirok…"

"What, so Tanjiro is gonna marry Kanao obviously, but I'm not obviously going to marry Nezuko!" Zenitsu exclaimed, but Inosuke wasn't listening.

"The love pillar was the strongest girl I knew, but she's passed on…" Inosuke then thought very hard, but gave up. "There are no more strong women."

Not entirely okay with his friend's line of thought, but wanting to help, Tanjiro asked, "Well, you're just thinking about physical strength."

"Physical strength?" Inosuke perked up.

"Yeah, like Shinobu wasn't physically strong, but she was strong in other ways. Or how the master wasn't physically strong, but he still led us well."

"So like Aoi."

Tanjiro and Zenitsu blinked in surprise.

"She's like, afraid of demons and can't fight them, but she makes me heal faster or whatever, so that's a strength."

"Yeah, healing is great strength!" Tanjiro agreed.

"And she's quite a beauty," Zenitsu added.

"Then it's decided, I will marry Aoi and have lots of strong babies. THE STRONGEST IN THE WORLD!" Inosuke declared.

"Inosuke NO!" Zenitsu and Tanjiro yelled. Inosuke wasn't listening, and ran ahead while laughing maniacally.

Tanjiro chuckled awkwardly. "Do you think he'll remember by the time we get back?"

"Inosuke?" Zenitsu asked, "I wouldn't put it past him."

...

They made it to the disturbance in a few days, trying to explain to Inosuke in a way he would understand that he still needed Aoi's permission to marry her, mostly from fear of how she would react if Inosuke kept talking like how he was around her. Their effort was mostly in vain. Their final hope would be for the demon fight to distract Inosuke enough that he wouldn't remember any of it.

It had been a while since they had fought a demon, or something like a demon at least, so Inosuke was practically buzzing. Once they'd gotten to the area where the disturbance was happening, it was difficult to tell where the epicenter of it was since there seemed to be slips in time.

Because that's what they must've been, considering there were people with all sorts of strange clothes that could be seen through them, not to mention the smells! They were so odd to Tanjiro.

Suddenly he was smelling two Inosukes. A flash from one of the bubbles and another Inosuke jumped into their time. He was basically the same as their current Inosuke, save for being slightly taller and broader, and holding a baby.

"Look at my baby!" The older Inosuke commanded, holding a baby above his head. The baby didn't have a boar mask, but was the spitting image of Inosuke. "I told you I would have the strongest baby!"

Zenitsu and Tanjiro were at a loss. Inosuke wouldn't drop this topic now. Young Inosuke pointed at the baby and felt the warm fuzzies.

He set the baby down and it crawled impossibly fast in the direction of the demon.

"Go baby!" The older Inosuke encouraged, "Get the demon!"

"Are you sure you should let the baby fight the demon? We aren't sure what it's abilities are," Tanjiro asked, worried.

"Are you doubting my baby's strength?" the younger Inosuke said.

Tanjiro looked to the baby's actual father, expecting him to have some worry for his child, but the older Inosuke seemed to agree with his younger self. He was almost offended.

The baby was actually drawing in on the demon, as its strange scent was getting stronger. When they finally fell upon the demon it was almost disappointing to see, small and weak-looking. Its skin was deathly pale and it seemed to shake at the effort to keep the portals up.

"No, I had escaped you! How could I have not gone far enough?" it cried. That explained it, it was from the past.

the baby drew the first blood. It bit the demon on the leg. The other two Inosukes then sliced and diced the demon before it could actually harm their child, an oddly protective streak showing. It was pretty weak, the time portals being the only defense it had.

"There are three of them," Zenitsu said horrified, "the future sure is scary."

Tanjiro couldn't help but agree.

With the demon defeated, the older Inosuke and his baby went back to the future. Before he left, he told something to his younger self. They both burst out laughing before they left.

"What did he tell you?" Tanjiro asked as they walked back to the butterfly manor.

Inosuke looked confused before laughing again. It took a bit for him to calm down enough because every time he tried to start saying something he'd start laughing again. Finally he said, "You wouldn't get it."

Zenitsu blanched and Tanjiro shrugged. Their friend was an odd one.

"Well, I'm just glad you all can't deny that I have the strongest baby." Inosuke continued once he'd calmed down from guffawing. "I can't wait to tell Aoi."

"What exactly are you planning on telling her?" Tanjiro asked, hoping to stop Inosuke before he did something drastic.

"Well…" Inosuke trailed off, then confidently said, "I'll figure it out when I see her."

"Dude, you can't confess like that," Zenitsu said.

Tanjiro tried to interrupt, as he was guessing it probably wasn't a confession that Inosuke planned on.

Zenitsu continued on, "Girls need to be wooed. And given flowers and compliments."

Inosuke only tilted his head, none of that was sinking in.

"I already gave her some acorns if that's what you mean."

Zenitsu turned to Tanjiro and mouthed 'Acorns?'

Tanjiro only frowned. He had no idea. "That sounds like a good start," he said to Inosuke.

The two friend gave advice, though how good of advice it was considering their own lack of actual experience with wooing, and their boar headed friend's lack of listening skills, made Tanjiro question if it was a lesson in futility. Either way, he must figure out something, as that baby had had Aoi's eyes.
