So, I figured It'd be easier to just focus on DxD until I heal up, then I went back to the inspiration for the Great Bael King, and realised how fucked it was getting, so here's how it is, three separate DxD stories, Great Bael King 2, Son of Baraqiel, and this bastard here, I think that since I'm unable to offer multiple choices without polls, this one here will be the more slow burn, and hopefully contain a higher quality and prompt better content in my other DxD stories. Chapter 1: A Bael not of this World
(Bael Castle, Bael Territory, Underworld, Earth, DxD Universe)
Hard to believe that when I died I'd get sent here, but I did and I might as well have gone ahead and made the most of it. Hours and hours upon boring studies until finally I got to escape to start training. I already knew were most of my future Servants were located, but anything could happen. I happened to pass my father's study and knocked on the door.
''What is it?'' Asks Lord Bael, cold as usual.
''Father, I have a question, you expect me to bring honor to the Clan, but I need to have the means to do so. Which brings me to the question, a betrothal. If I've learned anything over the years it's that if nothing else, Zeoticus Gremory and Lord Phenex would likely arrange a match between their children, so why not beat them to the punch? If it's arranged after them, we look desperate and opportunistic, but if we do it before we can make the Gremory appear that way.'' I suggest.
Lord Bael looks thoughtful.
''You wish for a betrothal to Ravel Phenex?'' Asks Lord Bael.
''I do, besides, our children will only expand Bael Power, Immortality, Hellfire, and Power of Destruction? You can't deny the advantages of having the Phenex in our corner should the Gremory get loftier idesls.'' I say.
''I will look into it, for now you have Training.'' Says Lord Bael, a hint of pride in his voice.
''Yes, Father, I appreciate your time and take my leave now.'' I say leaving.
I had an hour to train before the next gathering of Magician's where Young Devil's are offered the chance to pick a Contracted Magician. With any luck I'd be able to get my hands on eithef Georg, Lavinia Reni, or Le Fay Pendragon. My mother would accompany me, as would my chest of Evil Pieces. I was honestly looking far more forward to the Magician's than training.
(Young Magician's Gathering)
I stood beside my mother twirling three different Evil Pieces between my fingers, my Bishop, my Queen, and one of my Pawns. ''Mother, see the fairy girl? And that beautiful blonde? And that brown haired boy in glasses? I want them. Keep on on the fairy and glasses, I'm going to see Ice Princess.'' I say making my way over to Lavinia Reni.
''Lavinia Reni, my name is Arax Bael, and I have an offer for you.'' I say handing her my Queen Evil Piece.
''You wish to have me join your side? Why? Surely there are other Magician's best suited to it?'' Asks Lavinia.
''Because you have one Ice Princess of Absolute Demise, you might be interested to know that Dimension Lost is also in the building.'' I say.
''Is that all?'' Asks Lavinia.
''No, if I'm being honest I want the strongest team out there, with the strongest people, who knows we'd probably cross paths a lot with Vali?'' I suggest, Lavinia narrows her eyes. ''Oh yes, I know all about the young boy, I also have a bit of information for him, his grandfather's Romanian ally. Join me as my Queen, help me recruit two other's, and I will help Vali get a line on his greatest nemesis.''I offer, walking away and heading towards my mother. ''Mother, I haven't been completely honest, I got a tidbit of info of great interest. Rizevim Livan Lucifer is alive, I had to offer it up to get Ice Princess to consider. And it seems to have worked.'' I say as I watch Lavinia put the Piece into her chest as she walks over to me.
''Who now?'' Asks Lavinia.
''Follow me Princess.'' I say.
Turned out I could only get Le fay as my Contracted Magician, and Georg as my Bishop. Father was not completely pleased, until I suggested Zekram should be consulted. Which was it came to be that Zekram Bael and father were present. ''I have a line on Rizevim Livan Lucifer.'" I said up front. ''I know for a fact that there's a Tepes vampire using the Holy Grail to revive Evil Dragons on his behalf. But with Georg's assistance, we may be able to get both the Sephiroth Graal and Rizevim's stooge, without starting a war. If we pump the Vampire for intel, we can exact a price for it from Sirzechs. What's more with Dimension Lost and Absolute Demise we are in a perfect position to further strengthen the Clan.'' I say.
''You have a plan for it?'' Asks Zekram.
''I want the Strongest Peerage out there, what's more I know a few things to track down other Longinus or Powerful Descendants. Like the current user of the True Longinus, and that Rizevim's grandson is the White Dragon Emperor. Said Emperor has such hatred to Rizevim I'd wager he'd gut him personally.'' I say. ''I have it mapped out, but there's a problem, The only way to ensure the Romanian Affair is a resounding success is if we employ Kuroka. Her Senjutsu is useful, and will allow us to easily get into Tepes Castle without being Scene. But there's just one problem, we need Rias Gremory. Her Bishop knows the general layout and the location of the Tepes Castle, I think I can make a suitable trade with her that won't compromise us.'' I say.
''Very well, I'll inform the Great King Faction and prepare everything.'' Says Zekram.
''Thank you revered ancestor.'' I say departing.
Once outside, I see Le Fay awaiting me, with Arthur Pendragon no less. ''Well, this is a surprise, The Pendragon Heirs, and miss Wescott.'' I say, Arthur tenses. ''Don't fret Lord Arthur, I may make a point to understand a potential enemies weakness, but I don't cross the family line, leads only to all manner of trouble.'' I say.
''I found him boss! I found the cute kitty!'' Says Le fay, causing me to smile broadly and kiss Le Fay on both cheeks.
''Excellent work Lady Le Fay, come you two, we have a Lion King to recruit.''I say, enjoying the cute blush on both Le Fay's cheeks.
I notice Arthur and Le Fay following close behind.
''Something else?'' I ask.
''We wish to join you.'' Says Arthur, giving me pause. I hadn't made plans for Arthur Pendragon, but that Excalibur of his would prove invaluable. Then there was Le Fay, I could reincarnate her as my Last Bishop...but I hoped that Ravel would fall there. The question at hand was whether I wished to lose Siegfried or Jeanne in favor of Arthur.
''As it happens we were on our way to get some information for an infiltration Op. Prove to me you can back up your Excalibur and reputation and I'll consider it. After all, when we Storm Romania to get the Holy Grail, we may need a good Swordsman and powerful and beautiful Witch.'' I say, Arthur raises an eyebrow while Le Fay's light blush is much bigger now.
(Regulation Regulus)
I, Georg, Le Fay, Lavinia, Arthur, and Elaine Wescott ventured to where Regulus Nemea was supposed to be. It was rather bloody, I had to Shield Le Fay from the gore. I left her in the hands of Arthur, Elaine, and Lavinia, while Georg and I approached Regulus. ''Okay boy, it's alright, no ones going to hurt you.'' I say as he notices my presence. I wave Georg back as I inch closer, holding out my hand. Regulus growls but slowly moves forward.
''Would you like somewhere to call home? A place where you can grow strong, live a long life as part of a family?'' I ask reaching into my Pocket, pulling My Evil Pieces out, noticing that Three of them are glowing, indicating that unlike Sairaorg, I only need use Three Mutation Pieces to Reincarnate him. He assumes the form he did in DxD Hero, which is kinda cute too! I had determined that Regulus would be the test to see if I would Reincarnate Le Fay as a Pawn or not. ''I think I'm gonna call you Regulus, Regs for short.'' I say, before approaching Le Fay and Arthur, I toss Arthur a Rook Evil Piece while taking Le Fay's hand and handing her a Single Pawn Piece. ''This is but the First Gift I give to you Le Fay.'' I say, kissing the top of the hand that holds the Pawn Piece.
(Occult Research Club, Kuoh Academy, Kuoh Town)
My Peerage and I stood before Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri, with their Peerages. ''Well this is a surprise, I didn't expect to find you here on business Artaxi.'' Says Rias, using my childhood nickname.
''Well this is more of a personal problem for you than it is for me. I need access to Gasper Vladi.'' I say and Rias narrows her eyes.
''Why?'' Asks Rias.
''He has information I need, information that will help him more than you could imagine.'' I say.
''Meaning what exactly?'' Asks Koneko.
''Actually, It will help you as well Koneko, since it doesn't just involve Gasper, but a certain Black Cat you know oh so very well, Kuroka specifically. Georg, Seal the room.'' I say.
''Got it.'' Says Georg casting a Sealing Barrier on the room.
''I do NOT want this getting back to Serafall or Lilith forbid Sirzechs since it puts the entire Mission at risk and could reignite the war. Do I have your vow of silence until I speak to Lord Zekram?'" I ask.
Rias and Sona exchange looks with each other and then both their Queens before nodding.
''Rizevim Livan Lucifer is alive.'' I state plainly, causing Rias and Sona to stiffen and gasp. ''I have a line on someone in direct communication with him, I'm putting together a team that will force him out in the open by taking his most prized test subject and Reincarnating her into my Peerage. She also happens to be the Heiress to the Tepes family, and Gasper's only Vampiric and the one to get him into the dress. If Koneko weren't so useless in the Senjutsu I'd not have any need to arrange a pardon for Kuroka, no offense little cat.'' I say and despite the glare sent my way by Koneko, she acknowledges the point. I reach into my shirt and theow the file at Koneko.
''What's this?'' Asks Koneko.
''Evidence to exonerate sister dearest in front of the courts and to you, you were next to die by the way, Naberius planned to kill you thrkugh experimentation, it's all there. Keep this from Sirzechs, let us pump the intel from Rize's stooge, and the rest of the Info on Naberius, it's yours, I will also back a certain school for Reincarnated Devils Sona, keep that in mind, Bael have a lot of Weight after all. As doe you Rias, I will allow the girl to socialize with Gasper and bring him out of his funk.'' I say, ha ding Rias a Second Folder. ''That right there is the info I dug up on Forbidden Balor View, it can potentially reach Longinus levels FYI.'' I say, handing a third to Sona. ''That has my Signature in the sign lines, but I'll let you decide what's on it. Don't make me regret it.'' I say.
''Well then, Akeno, perhaps we ought to check on young Gasper.'' Says Rias.
(Gaspies Abode)
My ears hurt from Gasper's scream, ''Gasper Vladi, How would you like to see Valerie Tepes again?'' I ask, shutting him down instantly.
''V-Valerie?'' Asks Gasper.
''I'm putting a team together to go rescue her from the Old Satan Faction, but I need your help to do it, specifically Tepes Castle Layout and general location. Give me that and I can get her out without spilling a drop of blood. Furthermore I hope to Reincarnate her into my Peerage, as Rias cousin I will permit her to visit you if you help me.'' I say.
''If I tell you where it is, can I see her?'' Asks Gasper.
''So long as she wishes it I shan't deny you that, do we have a deal?'' I ask.
''Tepes Castle is actually Fargras Fortress, the hidden entrance sits in the Library.'' Says Gasper.
''Alright, that's something I can work with. Thank you Gasper.'' I say and leave.
Rias follows me out.
''We're coming with you.'' Says Rias.
''That's neither your call nor mine, sure you could go to Sirzechs, but The Great King Faction would bury you and tarnish big brother's rep to such a degree it'd become unfixable. No, at best me telling you the truth cost me a good deal of fortune and favor, your not coming.'' I say.
''Is that so?'' Asks a voice, and I am immediately enraged.
''Rias, what did you do? We had an agreement! You were not supposed to get Sirzechs involved!'' I scream at her.
''Calm yourself Prince Araxian, I told Sirzechs.'' Says Zekram as he steps up beside the Devil King.
''That doesn't change the fact Sirzechs was not to know of our Operation!'' I say heatedly.
''No, it doesn't, but for some time I've been interested in how you got your information, and hid how you got it so well.'' Says Zekram.
''I have my sources.'' I say.
''Yes, and you seem to know quite a bit of the Current Longinus Wielders.'' Says Sirzechs.
''Lord Zekram, do I have your permission to reveal some of the Longinus wielders?'' I ask.
''Yes.'' Says Zekram.
''Very well, The True Longinus is in the hands of a man named Cao Cao, his ancestor is Cao Cao of the Three Kingdoms and he is on Indra's payroll, the Zenith Tempest is held by Dulio Gesualdo, Heavens Strongest Exorcist, I will not however give you intel on who uses Dimension Lost, Annihilation Maker, Sephiroth Graal, Absolute Demise, and Regulus Nemea.'' I say. ''I can however offer something else, Rias, you may wish to let Akeno know that Cousin Tobio is the Slash/Dog, he wields Canis Lykaon, The Current Red Dragon Emperor is at this very school, as is someone who wields the Vritra Gear Absorption Line, Azazel has the other three. I don't know who has Innovate Clear or Telos Karma, just that it's the same person. Divine Dividing is in the hands of Vali Lucifed, Rizevim Livan Lucifer's grandson, whom he told his son Razevin to abuse. Now if nothing else I've had my fill of treachery.'' I say pushing Past Sirzechs.
''Not so fast, Rias will be going with you.'' Says Sirzechs.
''No she won't.'' I say with finality.
''Are you refusing my commands?'' Asks Sirzechs.
''This is my mission, you were never supposed to know in the first place until after the fact! I will not allow Rias or anyone else to steal a valuable asset from me, not even you Sirzechs. And in any event it was my intel, my decision to take this mission on. If you weren't the Devil King or my cousin I'd obliterate you here and now! Rias included!'' I say.
''Language aside he isn't wrong, you were only clued in as a courtesy Sirzechs, and Rias is far too identifiable to go in any event.'' Says Zekram.
''And to answer the compromise of taking a Peerage member of Rias, the answer is no.'' I add turning to look at Zekram and Sirzechs.
''Then this mission won't be happening! Either take Rias or a Member of her Peerage or there is no mission.'' Says Sirzevhs.
''I don't recall asking or needing your permission Sirzechs!? Since even were you to agree it wouldn't exist anyway as it could ignite a new war. And in any event, Foreign Affairs and Military matters aren't your business in the first place.'' I say.
''Prince Araxian, your being unreasonable.'' Says Zekram.
''I have been very reasonable! If you hadn't informed Sirzechs, this wouldn't be happening! You know, I never believed my father's hate speech for Gremory, but if this is the extent of your greed, then maybe I should have believed his words.'' I snap leaving.
''Seems you were right, he prefers direct methods without interference.'' Says Sirzechs.
''Your recommendation?'' Asks Zekram.
''I'll give the others a heads up, let them know I found one.'' Says Sirzechs.
''Then I'll let Misla and her husband know.'' Says Zekram.
(Bael Castle)
''Stupid fucking Sirzechs!'' I shouted blasting a hole in the nearby wall in the training Arena. Power of Destruction radiated off me to reflect my mood. I was not at all happy with the situation, Zekram telling Sirzechs was not part of the plan, I was in serious situation here, and I needed to move quickly. ''Lavinia, get the others, we're going to Romania ahead of scheadule.'' I say over Magic Circle Call.
''Leaving so soon?'' A voice asks, freezing me in my place.
I turn around to found Sirzechs and Zekram there.
''It's not up for discussion, adding someone like Rias or someone from her Peerage puts the entire Mission at risk. I know my people, I know how they think, their abilities, strengths and weaknesses, last thing I want or need is a rogue element I can't control nor predict how they work.'' I say, completely sick of the entire conversation.
''After speaking at length with Zekram, I've come to a new arrangement. bring me Rizevim's man and I'll give you anything you want.'' Says Sirzechs, giving me pause, I look at Zekram for confirmation. He nods and I sigh before speaking.
''Privacy, that's my price. I get to run my network, my Peerage, and my business with no oversight, interference, and leaking of my Protected Info, violate any of this and I will out you as the captor of the Vampire in charge of Rizevim's operations. Bear in mind that paying this price, you can't leak info on my Peerage to Rias if we have a Rating Game against her, furthermore you have no say over whom I recruit, even if they're a criminal, Angel, Fallen Angel, or Yokai. In exchange I will permit an impartial observer from the Agares Family to accompany me, that much I can permit. Deal?'' I ask, offering my hand.
''Deal.'' Sirzechs says taking my hand.
''Then we have an accord. Tell the rep to meet us outside Fargras Fortress.'' I say leaving, hoping my intel on Kuroka isn't stale just yet, since I've need of her abilities badly...
