Heyo guys! I decided to write this drabble cause I just got back from tagging along to my sister and her partner, Jasmine's, date at a christmas light thingy (Don't worry, we were all wearing masks and being safe) I thought it would be funny to write the same thing with Anakin, Padme, and Ahsoka. Hope you enjoy! :)
A soft blanket was draped over Ahsoka's shoulders the second she stepped out of the speeder into the chilly night air. "Don't want you to freeze to death out here." Padme said, patting her back.
Ahsoka was about to protest that she wasn't going to freeze to death; they were on Naboo where even now at night it hardly ever got that cold, but the blanket was soft, and warm, and heavy, and she didn't quite want to let it go. So instead she just quietly trailed behind Anakin and Padme as they made their way into the park.
She marveled at the colorful, twinkling lights strung around every tree for Life Day. At first, when Anakin said that he was taking them to Naboo to go look at lights, she was just annoyed. She saw lights everyday on the ceiling, what was special about them when they were outside? But now that she was actually there, she saw how amazing they really were.
"The lights are beautiful." Ahsoka heard Padme say to Anakin. They were walking together along the path a few paces ahead of her, but she could still make out what they were saying.
"Yeah," Anakin whispered, and even though his head was turned to her, she could hear the smile in his voice. "Not as beautiful as you."
Ahsoka rolled her eyes. Her Master was such a dork. She watched as he nudged Padme's arm playfully, and she nudged his back. It was easy to see how smitten they were with each other. In that moment, she was sure the entire galaxy knew about them.
It wasn't like they were good at hiding. Here they were, on the planet that Padme used to be Queen of, holding hands with each other while they walked down a romantic, lit up path. Ahsoka snickered to herself. She knew the gossip columns in the holonews would eat that up. "You two lovebirds need to wait up for me!" Ahsoka called out to them.
Anakin whipped around. Thanks to the lights, she could easily see the redness in his cheeks. "Snips!"
"What? You guys were walking too fast."
He shot her a dirty look, while Padme just laughed to herself.
