Yamamoto Takeshi was not as dumb and Gokudera seemed to think he was. Sure academically wise he wasn't great, but he knew when 2 people liked each other. Kyoko and Tsuna were very obvious, Haru and Gokudera were also very obvious from day 1. Not that the latter pair realized it, one of his favorite games to play was called Make Gokudera Jealous. The rules were simple whenever Haru and Gokudera we're together either flirt, or get close to her. The easiest one was when they were arguing and in each other's faces, he would just get between and block as much of Gokudera's view of Haru as he could.
As he was walking home from baseball practice, he could hear Haru and Gokudera. We walked over and the two were fighting again, Tsuna no where to be seen. So deciding to tease the Storm Guardian once more he walked over
"Ma Ma, i'm sure whatever your two are fighting about this time, can be resolved." He stepped between the two and placed a hand on Haru's shoulder. He looked over at her and smiled, he could feel the tension from Gokudera.
"Oh, Haru are you still coming over to help me with my homework today?" Yamamoto knew this would bug Gokudera, but he did plan with Haru for it.
"Hihi, Haru almost forgot. I can come over, Haru have 2 hours before gymnastic training." He smiled, she just gave him some perfect material to work with.
"Alright, let's head over now. That way you can get to training soon, I'm suppose to help you with your flexibility stretches right? Maybe we can squeeze in something else too" Haru smiled and nodded her head. That's when he heard Gokudera snap, but instead of yelling like they expected he just stormed off.
The next time Yamamoto got a chance to play his game was during a meeting at his place. Tsuna wanted a change of space so they rented out the restaurant and Takeshi told his dad he would take care of the food. He asked what everyone wanted and Haru said she wanted her usual, which caused Gokudera to flinch.
As he was handing everyone their meals they asked for he made sure to brush his hand against Haru and act like it was an accident, of course this lead to glaring at him. It also caught Tsuna's attention; he smiled, grabbing his own plate he went to sit but instead of taking his usual seat on Tsuna's left he went and sat on Haru's right. He watched as Tsuna raised an eyebrow, then look at the man to his right. Yamato saw the realization in his eyes, then knew he was gonna be talked to later. Tsuna started the meeting, which was long but important. The girls had to start having self-defense training.
"Haru takes gymnastics, but as a member of the national team Haru is required to know basic self-defence. Haru can ask my sensi if we can move to advance stuff."
"Wait, your on the national team, your 14." Tsuna said
"Junior division, we're trained to joined the Olympic team. Haru is the youngest to join so far." Everyone kinda seemed stunned by this.
Takeshi decided to tease Gokudera some more.
"So that's why your flexibility training is so intense." He could see Gokudera stiffen, then turn to glare at him. Gokudera then spoke up.
"Why would need self-defense classes then?" Haru's smile fell and her face was like a stone.
"People are creeps, you think Shamal is bad. Ha! On top of that team poaching can sometimes go the wrong way. People are gross and cruel, last week 2 girls went missing. They found them today, in a sex dungeon; their careers are over." She stated it so matter of the fact, like it was common knowledge and normal.
This of course lead to a uproar of all the guys as this is a problem from the family in general. Gokudera was the only one quiet and Takeshi knew if you looked closely enough he was shaking.
Later that day he got an earful from Tsuna about his game during meetings. Otherwise it was ok, "just don't push him too far, or give Haru the wrong idea. Please."
"Ok, Tsuna. I'll do what i can"
Haru had decided that as a part of her training she would learn to use a gun and a sword. So she started coming over to his house everyday to practice her swing, and every weekend learning to shoot a gun. Yamato used it as prime teasing material; he knew that Gokudera would distract Haru as much as possible. He hated her coming around, sometimes he would come to practice. This was one of those times so Takeshi kicked it up a notch.
He approached Haru from behind and wrapped his arms around her. He quickly looked at Gokudera and smirked. He fixed Haru's hands then quickly left a kiss on cheek. That did it.
"That's it, I'm gonna kill you!" Takeshi quickly let go of her and smiled.
"Ma ma, what's wrong Gokudera? I was just fixing her hand position." The bomber looked like he had smoke coming out of his mouth.
"Touch her or kiss her again, and you will have no tongue."
"Hmm, but what if i want to date her?"
"Get your own woman!"
"Hihi, Haru doesn't belong to anyone. Haru is not your woman." Gokudera turned to her, and marched up to her. Takeshi was sure he was gonna say something but instead he left.
Takeshi decided maybe it would be best to explain to Haru his game.
"I'm sorry Haru. When you're around Gokudera's easy to tease." She looked at him curiously.
"Why would he be easy to tease. We're rivals and good friends." Takeshi wanted to laugh, he really did.
"Haru, he just called you his woman." He was hoping he didn't have to say more. If the two got together that would be great they could be happy.
"And Haru doesn't belong to him. Haru just said that."
"Oh boy." That was all Takeshi could say. So he walked up to her put hands on either of her shoulders.
"If i kissed you right now, would you like it?" Haru looked confused
"You're more like a brother to me." That hurt him a bit but understandable
"Ok, if Tsuna kissed you right now, how would you feel?"
"Unhappy because i know he doesn't belong to me." Takeshi nodded his head hoping the next question would clue her in.
"If Gokudera kissed you, right now, how would you feel?" He watched as she opened her mouth then closed it. Thought about it, before responding again.
"I don't know." She then looked very determined and he was scared.
"Haru wants to test it out, you kiss me now then Haru will say how Haru feels about it. Then Haru will kiss him and determine the difference."
"Um Haru, he will definitely kill me if i do that." But Haru didn't back down so he kissed her.
"Not unpleasant, but still weird. Something didn't feel right." She went over and picked up her phone
"Bakadera, Haru needs you to come bacj to the dojo." Takeshi knew he was gonna die today for sure now. But at least he got to tease him a bit.
"Haru, wants you back here. So come back here."
After a bit and more sword practice, Gokudera came back. Still furious, he refused to look at Takeshi.
"What do you need stupid woman."
"Haru is doing a test, so she wants to kiss you and see if it feels different from kissing someone who is like a brother to Haru."
If Gokudera's face could get any redder, Takeshi was sure it would burst into flames.
"What the hell, is that kind of logic. Don't go around just kissing people, how stupid are you."
"Haru is not going around kissing people, only two test subjects are needed. One is done." Uh oh, was all that went through Takeshi's head. As his friend turned to him.
"You kissed her." It was quiet but full of anger. Takeshi didn't heed Tsuna's warning enough.
"She wouldn't back down. I swear it was just a test; she's sneaky" He then watched Haru sneak up on the bomber and get in front of him.
"Kiss me, Hayato." Said teen stopped in his tracks and stared at her. Takeshi watched as she went up on her tip toes and kissed him. Similar to what she did to him, but seeing Hayato melt to the girl was a sight he never thought he would see. When Haru broke away she looked at Takeshi.
"Good, I feel good." Takeshi smiled and Gokudera looked at him confused.
So Takeshi decided to continue their conversation from before.
"So, if kissing me something wasn't right but kissing him was good." He really wanted her to reach the conclusion on her own.
"It was good, Haru does not understand what you are trying to say." Takeshi gave up and just looked at Gokudera with a pity look, he also understood he should avoid the bomber for a while.
"Haru doesn't mind continuing the test and kissing you guys more."
Yep, definitely avoiding him for a while. Maybe skip school for a bit.
