A Reawaken Light

(Great Seal)

In a realm that exist outside all things, a place that neither light nor darkness, separated from both dream and reality, and does not follow the laws of time and space is a place that not many could enter.

This place is the Collective Unconscious, a realm that is connected to all things whether they be from realm of light or darkness the Collective Unconscious does not discriminate between the two.

Not many know of the Collective Unconscious existence as none of them could even fathom such a realm, but those that do know that the realm holds endless amounts of possibilities.

Possibilities that allow God-like beings to use this realm for their own machinations, like creating a school festival for a dead girl who never lived a normal life, or creating a movie theater prison to keep people trap as they are force to watch their own insecurities forcing to live in blissful ignorance of the realm instead of trying to face reality head on, or creating a velvet colored room run by a long-nose hunch back along with his various assistances to help certain Wild Cards on their journey.

Right now in this endless amount of space does one of these Wild Cards reside in as the gatekeeper to what is now known as the Great Seal, what lies behind the seal is a powerful entity of the night that can single handedly wipe out all life in a world.

It has been this Wild Card duty not to keep the entity in the seal but to keep those away from it. It has been this way since the day of his sacrifice, and it will continue to be that way until the end of time.

But someone else thought otherwise.

A small pool of darkness swirled in front of the Great Seal before it rose into a spherical shape.

Soon the pool ceased and disappeared leaving only a figure wearing black coat with a hood that hid its face.

Looking up the figure sat the crucified statue of the one it's been looking for.

"Finally I found you." the figure said whose voice was clearly male. "Time to get you out of here."

Stretching out both arms, light gather around both hands and soon forms two giant keys. But instead of looking like ordinary keys these two keys were in the shape of guns.

Pointing the keyguns at the seal light shot out of both into the seal undoing all of the locks on.

Every lock on the golden doors were almost undone but before the last lock could be unlock a double-bladed sword found its way in front of him forcing the figure to jump back in surprise.

The figure quickly aimed his guns everywhere trying to find the one responsible for throwing the sword but to no avail.

"Cease before you doom us all." A voice called out.

The figure search desperately for the voice but still nothing appeared.

"Who are you? Show yourself!" The figured called out. It was in that moment clouds started to circle around him.

The next thing the figure knew was that he was surrounded by three giant marble thrones that looked to be as tall as five-story buildings with the Great Seal standing between them.

The double-blade sword soon flew out of the ground and into the hands of something that sat on one of the thrones.

There sitting on the thrones were three beings who sizes were just as big as the thrones.

Each being was different, one of the beings was wearing a white jacket that fell to his legs, white shirt, yellow tie, the being also had red eyes and its head had antennas on it. Another was like the former but unlike the former this being just emitted light from himself. This being had a cape around its waist held together by claps hands, milky white eyes that gave off the impression that the being was blind but the figure didn't let that fool him, a giant cross on its back and a row of white coffins chained together dangling off its left arm. As for the last being, this one unnerved Ryden. It exuded darkness from itself as if it became one with it. This being looked like a fallen angel as it had six giant bat wings folded on its back, two horns on its head, red eyes, it wore dark clothes that made it look like a general and floating by its side was a giant rifle.

"It is best that you lower your weapons, you stand before the guardians of this world." The one with antennas said.

"Who are you?" The figure ask.

"I am Izanagi the Guardian of Truth." Announce the antenna head.

"I am Satanael the Guardian of Freedom." The angel said.

"And I am Messiah the Guardian of Life." The last one said. "And who might you be?"

Honestly the figure was still a little skeptical about these guardians in giving them his name but if they are the guardians of this world then they at least had the right to know who he is.

"My name is Ryden." The Figure revealed who he is. "I am a keygunner."

"Interesting, you're a key wielder." Izanagi said.

"Yeah what about it?" Ryden ask never lowering his guns.

"Because it has been quite some time since a key wielder has set foot in this world." Izanagi said.

"Oh yeah how long?"

"Try a couple hundred thousand years." Satanael said. "But that does beg the question."

Satanael lean down from his seat towards the key gunner.

If Ryden was being honest he was intimidated by the giant angel. He may have seen a lot of things over the years, but the angel's presence still put him on edge.

"Why are you here?" Satanael ask. This was the question that Izanagi and Messiah were curious of.

"There is no reason for a key wielder to be here, our world is shielded. Creatures of darkness such as the heartless cannot enter this world, so tell me key wielder why are you here?" Satanael said.

Seeing that he had no other choice Ryden answered. "I came here because I hope to get the aid of the heroes of this world."

"You know the rules key wielder, no key wielder is allowed to meddle with a world's personal affairs or reveal the existence of other worlds to others it will disrupt the world order." Satanael said. "Taking people whom possess no knowledge of this from their world falls into both."

"I know but hear me out." Ryden pleaded.

The three guardians looked at each other before nodding to the key wielder to proceed.

"Darkness is spreading, it grows stronger by the day. Someone has disrupted the world order and in doing so the worlds suffer for it. Day by day I see less stars at night, I see that the darkness has engulfed all of them." Ryden said.

"Yes we have notice the loss of stars in the sky at night and that troubles me." Messiah said.

"Those worlds have all just vanished yes, but then why are you not out there investigating? Is it not your duty to put a stop to this?" Izanagi ask.

"It is, but what's happening out there is bigger than anything I could handle. Worlds are being engulf by the darkness everyday my efforts do nothing to slow it that is why I came to this world for help I've heard that the heroes of this world manage to prevent darkness from destroying their world so I hope they can do the same for the rest of the realm."

Hearing the man plea, Messiah thought about this for a moment.

"Messiah are you actually considering this?" Izanagi ask.

"I am." Messiah nodded.

"The Key wielders problems is none of our concern, they were born for this very reason." Satanael said.

"If we do nothing the darkness will spread engulfing all worlds and eventually it will make its way here. We have managed to keep it at bay for centuries but with how powerful the darkness of our world is combined with that of the Realm of Darkness then there is little we can do." Messiah said.

"Then what do you propose we do?" Izanagi ask.

"A champion of our world would go with him specifically one of the Wild Cards." Messiah said.

"Forget it, there is too much that needs to be done in our world." Satanael said. "My boy and his team will be needed in case anything arises, did you forget the country wide shadow incident a few months ago, my boy and his team had to deal with that incident by themselves and who knows when another will happen if they're gone."

'Sign' "Satanael is right Messiah, my boy and his friends will be needed in case an incident arises as well." Izanagi agreed.

"Both of you make good arguments and unfortunately I must say the same for the companions of my boy, their role in our world is too important to be abandon." Messiah conceded. He wanted to help, it has always been in his nature to help regardless of the situation.

But the roles played by the Wild Cards and their companions are too important. Even after their journeys are done, they are still too important for them to leave.

"Then give me him." Ryden said pointing at the Great Seal. "I came here for him in the first place."

""NO!"" They all said.

"This boy is the only thing keeping the darkness of our world from destroying all life without him everyone would die." Satanael said.

"Then what's the whole point of having you guys if you're guardians?" Ryden ask.

"We protect our world from outside forces, anything that happens in our world we must leave it to our chosen champions." Izanagi explained.

"Wow really?"

"Yes really we also must help maintain the world order." Satanael said.

"Well that's just great." Ryden grumble he came all the way to get help and now the guardians here are denying him it. What was he gonna do.

"Key wielder." Ryden looked up to Messiah.

"Why exactly do you want him and not anyone else?" He asked.

"Because of his power." Ryden answered.

"I knew it."

"Quiet Satanael." Izanagi said.

"His power allows him to more what anyone is possibly capable of. The power to make the impossible possible, a type of power like this almost sounds like the power of Kingdom Hearts. He used this power to save his at the cost of his life this proves that his heart is not only strong but also that he cannot sway by darkness. He is the perfect person to help me save the worlds from destruction." Ryden said.

"The boy has already given so much for this world that no one has any right to ask anymore of him, but here you are asking us to make him take up his sword once again? To fight a battle not his own, you dare ask that when the protection of the worlds is your duty and not his." Satanael said glaring at the keygunner.

'Sign' "I wouldn't be here asking if I wasn't desperate."

"Desperate or not we will not help so lea-"

But before he could finish a massive gust of wind blew from the seal.

The Guardians looked towards the seal with surprise before looking back at the keygunner.

"It seems you have your answer." Messiah said.

"Wait what?" Ryden said confused.

"The boy will help you." Messiah said.

"Oh really well that's great!" Ryden said feeling that things are looking up.

"But if only someone takes his place."

"What why?"

"The Great Seal requires a lock to keep the darkness inside, and the boy is the only thing keeping it in place."

"Well I could just lock the seal after he's free." Ryden offered waving his guns around.

"It is not as simple as you think, the Great Seal was created using his soul the moment he is free the seal will disappear therefore your keys will be useless." Izanagi explained. "If you lock the seal now the boy will be trapped."

"So what do we do?"

"Someone has to take his place as Gatekeeper. Unfortunately our positions as Guardians prevents us from that." Satanael said.

"The Great Seal requires a living heart and soul to hold it and the only one here is you so I doubt you'll-"

"Okay." Ryden said surprising the guardians.

"What?"

"I'll do it, I'll take his place." Ryden said.

"Are you sure?" Izanagi ask.

"Yeah."

"Then it's settled but while we may agree to this, the final decision rest solely on him." Messiah said. "He will help you but only if you agree to take his place until the storm has passed."

"Wait he intends to return here?"

"He does not wish this fate on anyone, this is his burden to bare not yours. Once the worlds are saved he'll go back to the seal and you will have your freedom again."

"That's not right, he deserved freedom just as much as anyone else. If this dude manage to do the impossible once then I got no doubt that he can do it again." Ryden said.

Soon a flash of light engulfs the key gunner and the next thing Ryden knew what that he was in a white void.

The void was completely empty nothing but white everywhere except for the one thing he came looking for.

Standing in front of him was the savior of this world, the one who sacrifice himself to push back the darkness, the one who had nothing but, in the end obtain everything to having the greatest power ever achieve in the span of a single year.

If this guy was ever a keyblade wielder he would've made a fine master.

(Later)

In a realm only known by a few the Guardians of Humanity alongside Minato who was just recently released from the Great Seal walked through an open field filled with lush plants, grassy hills, a nearby forest.

In the distance mountains could be seen, opposite of their direction was a cliffside where the vast ocean laid. All in all this was a sight to behold to any who gaze upon it.

"This place is beautiful." Minato said.

"It is, this is the truth that lies in everyone's heart uncovered and free from a fog of lies. My boy and his friends went on quite a meaningful journey to find this place." Izanagi said.

"His journey was about finding the truth right?" Minato ask.

"Indeed but not just the truth but also accepting the truth about himself as well as those around him. Accepting the flaws you carry as well as the emotions you bury can make one realize their true worth in the world, once you do that your eyes become clear allowing you the see the true beauty of this world." Izanagi said.

"But remember we're not here to sight see." Satanael reminded him.

True to Satanael's words, the scenery was not the reason the four came as it was for another purpose.

At the end of their walk the four found themselves in front of a white doorway.

"Is this is it?" Minato ask.

"Yes what lies inside is the start of your journey." Messiah said.

Minato and Messiah proceeded but stop when Satanael and Izanagi weren't following.

"Are you two not coming?" Minato ask.

"What happens next is only for you and Messiah." Satanael said.

"This journey is only for you, we have no part in this." Izanagi said.

With that the two entered the door.

Once inside the door close behind them leaving the two inside a pitch-black void.

In front of them is a spiral mass of darkness surrounding something, the only visible part from the mass was a handle but even that was still hard to see.

"Is that?" Minato pointed at the mass.

"Yes a power that almost rivals that of the Universe Arcana the keyblade."

"The keyblade… I've always had this power inside of me?" Minato ask

"You've always had the potential to use wield this power, unfortunately it was locked from you." Messiah said.

"How?"

"That because of me brother." A voice said.

Both Minato and Messiah turn to the source and saw a familiar face standing next to the spiraling mass.

With black hair swept back, light blue eyes, a beauty mark under his left eye wearing the Gekkoukan school uniform with his own additions as well as the yellow scarf he always wears.

It was Ryoji Mochizuki the flirtatious transfer student, the human persona of Death himself, and the avatar to the Goddess of the Night Nyx.

"Ryoji." Minato said softly. Said person smiled at him as he walked up to him and gave him a hug.

Minato return the gesture and after a moment the two broke off from the embrace.

"It's been a long-time brother." Ryoji said.

"I see you all the time." Minato chuckle.

"No no you see me as Thanatos not Ryoji, we may be the same person, but our personalities differ. Thanatos is cold and distance while I'm not I mean if I was then I wouldn't have flirted with all those girls wouldn't I?" Ryoji joked.

"Hmm I guess that's true." Minato smiled a bit before frowning.

"What did you mean I couldn't use this power because of you?" Minato ask.

Ryoji looked down sadly. Minato knew the look he'd seen once before when he came into his room at the dorm that night to propose that he should kill him. The look Ryoji had was one of regret.

"The Moonlight Bridge." Ryoji said. "The night where Aigis sealed me inside of you and…"

"The night my parents died." Minato finish as small amounts of memory flashed in his mind.

"Yeah the fact that you watch your parents die as a kid was already traumatizing enough to deal a devastating blow to your heart, but the moment I was sealed inside of you made it worse." Ryoji stated. "With me inside of you my influence made you empty, you showed no type of emotions over the years because of me. Death is an eternal constant in life, completely neutral to everything as it claims everything in the end, it does not discriminate. It has no need for emotions. Therefore, it had no need for a heart and this power here requires a person to have a heart." Ryoji explained.

"I see… but why now am I able to use this power?" Minato had to ask.

"Because of your journey, in it you needed the bonds with those around you to gain strength to fight against the darkness, it not only gave you strength in your soul but also strength in your heart. The bonds you forge allowed your heart to find the light once again freeing it from the chains set by Death." Messiah explained.

"Yeah again sorry about that Minato." Ryoji apologized.

"It's alright… but what do I do now?" Minato ask.

"Simple claim the power and your journey can begin." Messiah said gesturing towards the mass.

Walking towards it, Minato grabbed the handle and pulled with all his might. For a few seconds nothing happen but then the black mass around the it began to ripple. The black began to toss and turn as Minato pulled harder, the power the mass held began to pulse as tendrils burst from it striking Minato but he merely flinched at the pain and kept pulling.

Soon light erupted from where Minato stood blinding him and the entire room, when the light faded Minato soon regain his vision and saw that the black mass was gone and in his hands was a weapon, but that wasn't the only thing he saw, when he looked down and saw that the ground that he was standing on had change.

It was no longer the empty darkness that it use to be instead it was a giant circular stained glass like the ones people see in churches, but this one had a full image of him on his side leaning forward in a tired manner with his eyes closes showing that he was asleep with his headphones on. Not only that but also there were many smaller circular pictures of all his friends next to him.

But what was most interesting things about the stained-glass floor was the giant image of his loyal persona Thanatos standing right behind him protectively like he always has in the past, the roman numbers representing the arcana surrounding him, the color scheme of the glass reminded Minato of the Dark Hour with Tartarus and the full moon in view above his image. And lastly was the thing in Minato's hand, it was a weapon…well if it could be called a weapon that is.

The shape of the weapon was in the form of a key but unlike an ordinary key the shaft of the key was made of two metal parts connected by a bolt in the middle, the handle was like that of a sword as his hands easily wrapped themselves around it, the bow of the key around the handle was in a smooth shape like a lyre with a circular spike protruding from the end while a nice feather pattern protruded from the other end that lead to the pin that was white with a circular emblem that was cross out, the teeth of the key was replace with a lyre that's been cut down in the middle making the key more of a blunt weapon instead of a sharp one not that this bother Minato since he was experience in using blunt weapons against shadows.

The key reminded Minato of Orpheus his initial Persona… actually the whole thing just screamed Orpheus down to the color scheme, the gears, the lyre, pretty much everything.

"How does it feel?" Ryoji ask drawing Minato away from his weapon.

"It feels… strange like Lucifer's blade it feels like a weapon but it's much more than that." Minato said his returning to inspect the keyblade more.

"Well what's it called?" Ryoji ask another question.

"Hmm?"

"Ryoji is asking for the name of your keyblade, every keyblade has a name." Messiah said.

Minato looked at the blade once over again, everything about it reminded him of his initial Persona, the color, the way it looked to be made of gears even the where the teeth were supposed to be was replace with lyre.

"Calming Melody." Minato answered. It was a fitting name for it, Orpheus wasn't just legendary for his singing, but he was also known for his lyre with every string he plucked from it brought out music that calm the most savage of beast. He stills remembers how Orpheus use his lyre as a weapon the night he summoned him.

"A good name, no doubt a reference to Orpheus." Messiah said to which Minato nodded. "With the keyblade now in hand your journey can begin."

"How?"

With a wave of his hand a portal open beside him.

"Through this portal lies a world called Traverse Town, it is a place of refuge for those that have lost their world to the darkness."

"What will I find there?" Minato ask.

"The one whose journey is tied to yours." Messiah said.

Sensing that was all Minato was going to get out of his Persona/Mentor as he sometimes sees him, he walked towards the portal.

"Minato." Messiah called out. Minato looked behind towards his Ultimate Persona. "One last thing before you go."

"What's is it?"

"May your heart be your guiding key." He said and while he couldn't show it Minato could tell that he was smiling, so he smiled back before finally going into the portal.

A/N

Hey everybody this is Nicdragon8 coming out with a new story "A New Destiny"

Pretty much Minato getting involved in the Kingdom Hearts Universe.

I've seen the section for this crossover and surprise that there aren't any good fics of this crossover except for the one called The Empty Sea but pretty sure that guy isn't going to update anytime soon.

As for Minato's keyblade well go to Pinterest and look up Persona 3 Kingdom Hearts and you'll find what it really looks like. Seriously it won't be that hard it's like the only picture of a P3 X Kingdom Hearts crossover.

As for my OC Ryden well he was from my other story that I'm pretty much never going to update anytime soon. Never really thought I'd use him for anything but here we are.

So if you guys got anything from this chapter then this takes place in KH 1 and hopefully I get it all the way to KH 3 meaning I'll be following the game timeline but oh my god Chain of Memories is gonna be a nightmare for me. That stupid card system.

So anyway like always Favorite this, Follow this, or both.

This is Nicdragon8 signing off.
