Welcome to another chapter of Lunar Bunny. Sorry for the late update. Schoolwork was too much for me but I might be able to update more often now. We'll just have to wait and see. Also, sorry for the fans out there who thought he'll get a bunny quirk because he's not getting one. The reason why I named the story as will be revealed in the next coming chapters. Until then, you'll just have to guess why.
Ugh, where am I?
When Izuku woke up, he was no longer on the roof of a building. He looked around the white room and realized he was in a hospital room and his mother sleeping on the chair beside him, holding his arm. He tried to push himself upwards. "Tried" was the keyword because as soon as he pushed himself, he suddenly sprang to the ceiling, hitting his entire torso up the ceiling with a resounding bang. This commotion woke Inko as she drowsily woke up and noticed Izuku was absent. Being the worried mother she was, she was about to go and call the nurse when Izuku dropped from the ceiling and crashed onto the bed, breaking it in the process and caused Inko to scream. All of this caused several doctors and nurses to go through the door, worry and concern etched on their faces. When they went in, they found the bed to be in pieces as Izuku wheezed in pain on top of it. Meanwhile, Inko was glued to the wall from shock.
'What was that?' Izuku thought. He tried to get up once more but now, he was careful in his movements in case another event occurred.
"Are you alright, boy?" a doctor asked. Izuku finally stood up and felt off for some reason. He looked around himself and didn't see a difference. When he started touching himself, he was confused. He roamed his hands around his body and instead of feeling his bones and thin body, all he felt were pure muscles.
'Wait, when did I get an 8-pack?' He removed his hospital gown to which several female nurses and doctors screamed out for his sudden stripping in front of an audience. Luckily he was still wearing his boxers when he removed the gown. He was almost floored by the results. Instead of seeing a small and lanky body, he was ripped. Muscles in all the right places and if his eyes weren't playing tricks on him, not an ounce of fat anywhere. He touched his bare body, hands roaming as wondered about his newly acquired physique.
"What happened to me?" he finally spoke. And just as he did, his voice sounded mature and this caused several women to faint with nosebleeds present. As he heard the bodies, hitting the floor, he finally faced his mother and several doctors and nurses and finally realized what he did and in front of them. Blushing bright red, he covered himself with the hospital gown and ran to the bathroom. As he was about to open the door, he tripped and crashed into it, breaking the door to pieces, causing Inko to panic once more.
"Izuku! Are you okay?" Inko screamed.
"Yeah, I'm fine," was heard from the bathroom. He stood up and dusted himself off, noticing he didn't get any injuries or scratches. He looked at the mirror and removed the gown once more, gasping at how much muscle his body gained. He was still shocked when Inko softly called him, bringing him out of his stupor.
"Izuku? Are you done? The doctor wants to tell you something," Inko softly said as Izuku dumbly nodded and proceeded to wear the gown once more and hear what the doctor had to say.
Since the bed was destroyed, Izuku sat on one of the two chairs available as his mother sat beside him. The doctor simply stood as he relayed the news to the pair.
"How are you doing, young man?" the doctor asked.
"I… I think I'm okay? What's happening to me?" Izuku asked as his mother placed a hand over his in worry.
"I will tell you, but first, do you have a quirk?" he asked.
"No, he was announced quirkless," this time, his mother answered.
"Well, all in all, you're fine, no damage or anything, but this is something strange for us and it's the first time we've seen it. As it turns out, you have a quirk." His answer shocked both of them as they could not believe Izuku having a quirk after being diagnosed as quirkless nine years ago.
"A… A quirk? I'm sorry, Doctor, but I'm quirkless. We even have the paperwork to prove it," Izuku tried to reason.
"We tested and studied your blood in case of infections and we learned your body and cells evolved. This all resulted from the signs of a quirk being activated. Specifically your quirk."
"B-but… how?" Izuku could only ask as Inko was too shocked to speak from the revelation.
"From what I have gathered, it seems that you have gone through mental repression. This causes those with quirks to involuntarily hinder themselves and appear as quirkless. This problem can come from several clauses such as bullying and discrimination during childhood," he solemnly said. As Izuku's brain caught up on the doctor's explanation, he slowly came to the fact that he had a quirk all along. He remembered the times he was beaten up and he never received a broken bone or anything worse, just several scratches and bruises even when the tormentors (namely Katsuki) beat him up with their quirks at full power.
"I… I see," he spoke out.
"There are several problems with this awakening, unfortunately," the doctor said.
"And what are those?" This time, it was Inko who asked, worry and fear noticeable from the way she asked.
"It appears due to the sudden release of his quirk genes, his body has evolved to the point where he has super strength but no control over it."
"I… I understand," Izuku said.
"Normally, to help with that, we have several therapies and exercises to keep that strength in check, but someone has made a prior engagement with you to handle your condition."
But before any of them could ask, the door to the room was kicked down only to reveal none other than the Rabbit Hero: Mirko.
"M-M-Mirko-san?! What are you doing here?" Izuku almost screamed out in surprise.
"Pack your bags, Kid. You're going to my place for training. That's where you'll live for the time being to control that abnormal strength of yours," she joyfully said as she tried to pull Izuku out the door.
"What?!" both Inko and Izuku screamed. "Oh no you don't," Inko said as she used her quirk to pull one of Mirko's ears, causing her to wince and glare at the mother.
"What's your problem?" she asked angrily.
"You take my son without my consent," Inko was furious. She tugged on her ear stronger, causing the 12th hero to cry out in pain.
"Now come here!" Inko roared as she pulled Mirko by the ear to the corner as the doctor stood side by side with their mouths agape.
"This… Your mother is fearsome, kid," the doctor said.
"Honestly, I didn't think she could do this too…" was his only comment.
After ten minutes of Inko berating Mirko like a little girl, they talked in hush voices and finally came to a unanimous agreement. They returned to Izuku to give him the news.
"Okay, Miss Mirko and I agreed for us to stay at her agency for you to control your strength. We already talked about the specifics and I'll be handling all the food that both of you will be eating. Because this hero never thought about anything aside from training," Inko sighed.
"O-Oh…"
"Alright then, time for us to go to your new place," Mirko smirked as she pulled Izuku outside the door and to the entrance.
"W-wait, I didn't change clothes yet!"
Thank you for reading another chapter of Lunar. It did seem rushed and I apologize for it. The next chapter will talk about the training and a small time skip. The next chapter will also feature Izuku's new part-time job and another job offer from someone he knows. Who? Well, I'll keep you in the dark for now. Until then, see ya!
