The three stood outside the fence as they looked up at the house. Ameri and Kerori looked at the hooded figure between them and saw a smile forming across his lips, "Hey…what do you think you're doing? What's with the creepy smile?" Kerori questioned, shaking her head, "Are you planning on-" before she could finish, the hooded figure opened the fence and walked through it, "Hey! You can't just go onto someone else's property like that! Just who the hell do you think you are!" her cries fell on deaf ears as they watched as he climbed the stairs and knocked on the door.
The door soon opened and they watched as a woman with long green hair stood in the doorway, looking at the hooded figure on the front step in confusion, "Can I help you, young man?"
"Young man? Ms. Alana, you can't tell me you've already forgotten me," the woman's eyes widened, "I hope Clara at least knows who I am," the woman reached up and pulled the hood down to see a mess of blue hair, "Hey, Ms. Alana…how's it going?" Ameri and Kerori walked through the fence and up to the house, "I know it's been a while,"
"Mrs. Valac, we're sorry we've brought this rude-" before Ameri could finish, Alana reached over and touched the young man's face before brushing his hair and her eyes widened, "Uh…Mrs. Valac? Is everything o-"
Alana wrapped her arms around the young man and tightly hugged him, "It's so good to see you again, Iruma. We all thought after you were taken away by CPS, no one will ever see you again,"
"It's good to see you too, Ms. Alana," Iruma smiled while Ameri and Kerori stared on in disbelief, "Is Clara home?"
"She went to the store a little bit ago, but she should be home soon," Alana steppe away from Iruma and looked at the other two before she shook her head, "Well don't jut stand there, come in, come in," she turned and led the three inside before closing the door.
The three Guardians sat in the living room while they heard yelling and laughing coming from upstairs. Ameri and Kerori looked at each other before looking back at Iruma and Ameri narrowed her eyes, "So," Iruma looked up and narrowed his eyes as well, "You're the one Clara called Iruma-kins?"
"She still calls me that, huh?" Iruma chuckled and shook his head, "It's going to be great seeing my best friend after all these years,"
"Great, but why did you change your mind?" Kerori arched a brow and Iruma looked at her in confusion, "You refused to come it us until we said Clara's name. What if it had been a different Clara?"
Iruma sighed as he crossed his arms and leaned back, "If it had been a different Clara, I would've just left, but after seeing the familiar house, and Ms. Alana opening the door and she said that Clara will be right back…I'd say this is my Clara's house…man, I feel like a kid at Christmas…I can't wait to see Clara again," hearing the doorknob turn, they looked back and Iruma's eyes widened.
The door opened and Clara stepped inside, carrying a bag, "Mommy! They were all out of green onions, so you have to tell daddy to pick some up before he come home!" she looked at the three and sighed before she continued to walk into the house, "Hey Kerori, hey Ameri, hey Iruma-kins, I'll be with you in just a…a…a-" she looked back in shock as Iruma smirked at her and she dropped the bag.
Walking up to him, she touched his face and brushed his hair up before grabbing his right up and rolled his sleeve up to see a faint birthmark on his forearm. She looked back up, tears forming in her wide eyes before she screamed and jumped at him, landing on his lap, "Iruma-kins!" she wrapped her arms around his neck as Iruma wrapped his arms around her waist and Clara cried into his shoulder, "Iruma-kins! Iruma-kins!" Iruma rubbed Clara's back as Ameri and Kerori watched in confusion as Alana stepped out of the kitchen and smiled at the sight of the two, "Iruma-kins!"
"Yeah, it's me, Clara, now stop with the waterworks. You're going to drown," Iruma joked as he continued to rub Clara's back, "I missed you, Clara…I was worried tha-"
"I don't want to wake up," Iruma hummed as Clara sat up and shook her head, "I don't want to wake up from this dream. My Iruma-kins…my…I don't want to wake up and lose you again, I won't wake up an-"
"But no one's sleeping," Iruma reached up and patted the top of her head, "This isn't a dream, Clara. I'm really here," Clara's eyes widened before she wrapped her arms around his neck and tightly hugged him Iruma returned the embrace.
Alana looked at her daughter's friends and slightly smiled, "Kerori, Ameri, do you two mind giving me a hand for a minute?" the two Guardians looked at each other for a second before they stood up and followed the green-haired woman into the kitchen.
The three stood in the kitchen and Kerori and Ameri stared at Alana in confusion as she looked back and smiled at her daughter and her best friend, "Mrs. Valac, why did you want-"
"I just wanted to give my daughter and Iruma some time alone is all, Ameri," Alana looked back at the two ad shook her head, "Clara and Iruma haven't seen each other in over eight years and every year Clara gets more and more depressed and I'm sure Iruma has been feeling the same. He didn't want me and my husband to call CPS and he looked completely lost when he told Clara he had to leave, so I thought it'll be nice if we just gave them some time together," Ameri and Kerori looked at her in confusion as Alana turned and looked into the other room with a small smile.
Iruma rubbed Clara's back and slightly smiled, "So…how have you been, Clara? It's been too long,"
"Fine…I have two little sisters now," Iruma hummed and arched a brow, "Ran-Ran and Sin-Sin…my twin sisters,"
"Another set of twins?" Clara hummed and nodded, "So besides you, your parents have your older brother Urara, your twin brothers Keebow and Konchie and now…Ran-Ran and Sin-Sin?" Clara nodded again, "Heh…talk about a big family,"
"You know you love the Valac family, Iruma-kins," Clara smiled and nuzzled into his arms, "What about you? What have you been doing since you left?" she sat up and frowned as she shook her head, "Mommy told me you were being abused…why didn't you tell me, Iruma-kins? I thought we were best friends. Didn't we tell each other everything?"
Iruma inhaled slowly and hung his head, "I know…but I…didn't want you to get involved and have my parents harass you…I know your parents will do something, but I'd definitely do something. As for how I've been doing…shortly after CPS took me from my parents, a nice man named Sullivan adopted me as his grandson and he and our butler Opera have been really nice to me." Clara smiled as she slowly nodded, "So…you're the Guardian of the Light, huh?"
"What…Iruma-kins what are you-"
"Azazel and Crocell basically told me after I saved them from one of the Basics…but don't feel too upset about it…I'm the Guardian of the Shadows," Clara stared at him in disbelief as Iruma shook his head, "I'd show you, but I don't want to freak your mom out, but you can ask Azazel and Crocell, they saw it for themselves,"
"Hmm…but I don't care about any of that," Clara smiled as she wrapped her arms around Iruma's neck and nuzzled closer to him again, "I'm happy I get to see my Iruma-kins again,"
"I'm happy to you again too, Clara," Alana smiled from the kitchen before she turned and walked away.
Ameri and Kerori walked back into the living room and sat across from the two as the four Guardians talked to one another as Clara nuzzled closer to her best friend and smiled.
