Chapter one
Chiron was sitting at the head table with some of the satyrs during lunch. Today was one of the most normal days they have had in quite some time even though they are preparing for war. See, all the half-bloods were getting ready for the war between Gaea and the Roman demigods. The Seven are across the sea right now so they can stop Gaea before she can fully awaken.
Looking around at the dining pavilion, Chiron can see all his students and was proud of how much they have learned in such a short amount of time, yet sad to see who might fall in the battle to come. Over by the Apollo table, Will Solace is talking with his siblings on different healing methods for the up coming battle. Clarisse La Rue is arm wrestling with her brothers at the Ares table. Drew was being her typical self, trying to flirt with other cabins. Today seemed to be a totally normal day, but all that changed when we heard a scream from the sky
Leo POV
I was on the raft heading back to my friends, wherever they are. I just left the most beautiful girl in the entire world but I swear I will be back for her once this is all over. Anyways, while I'm sitting here in the middle of the ocean going who knows where, the water starts to get crazy. "Wonder what got Poseidon in such a fuss" I said to myself. Then when the wind started to pick up which got me nervous, I was in Poseidon's domain so who knows what will happen. All of a sudden, the water started to form a whirlpool. I looked around my small useless raft for a paddle but curse the gods there weren't any. "Oh no oh no oh no I'm going to die!" using my hands I tried to paddle myself away from the death trap, but there was no use I was trapped in the current and was swallowed up by the ocean and felt like I was free-falling. Next thing I knew I was falling through the sky and can see what looks to be a camp below me. I tried to think about what to do but all I could muster was "AHHHHHHHH!" I tried to use what was left of my sail to make a parachute but the ground came faster. I landed with a loud BANG and proceeded to blackout from the pain.
Connor Stoll POV
Travis and I are trying to pull a prank on Katie Gardner at the Demeter table and I was in charge of the camera and Travis was going to pull the prank. Everything was going very smoothly; Travis had planted the trap and I was standing by recording when I heard a scream. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who heard It because everyone else in the pavilion was looking around for the source. "Connor, did you hear that?" Travis asked me, "Yeah, I did. Who do you think that was? Couldn't be from a previous prank, everyone is here." I replied. "I don't think so, it sounded like it came from above" He said. I looked up and saw what looked like a scrawny looking boy free falling. "LOOK! Above us, who is that?" I yelled. I moved the camera to get a closer look and realized it was that Leo kid who recently got claimed by Hephaestus a few weeks ago. He is one of the seven, what's he doing here? "OH, MY GODS ITS LEO!" shouted Harley from the Hephaestus table.
We all watched as he crashed into the Ares table and splattered food and drinks all over everyone and totally destroying the table. Will was the first one to reach him and started tending to his injuries. Not even a minute later he jumped up and yelled "What is going on?! How did I get here?!" Will tried to calm him down "Leo you need to calm down, it's okay you're at Camp Half-blood"
Leo POV
Camp half-blood? How did I end up here? The stupid raft was supposed to take me to where the Argo II was. "What do you mean I'm at CHB? I was supposed to head back to the Argo II, I'm on the total opposite side of the ocean!" I exclaimed. Will looked at me funny, "what do you mean head back, weren't you with the rest of the seven?" I sighed, I was about the explain how we were attacked by the beautiful Khonie when there was a flash and 3 people showed up holding a blueprint in front of them. They didn't seem to notice us, after about a minute or two of staring out of shock I noticed the name on the back of the blueprint, it was my name. "THIS BLUEPRINT BELONGS TO THE CAPTAIN OF THE ARGO II. THE ONE AND ONLY LEO MCSHIZZLE VALDEZ #ALLTHELADIESLOVELEO" I got some looks shot in my direction, so being the mature demigod I am, I spoke up, "HEY! Those are my blueprints why do you have them?"
Piper POV
Hazel, Frank, and I were looking through the blueprints on the Argo II while Jason was talking with the lord guy and Coach was banging out the dents. With Leo gone the hopes of fixing the ship were getting lower and lower. We were in a strange position with the blueprints, frank and hazel were each holding a side while I was in the middle pointing things out. While we were discussing the different ways we can ask Festus to help us with we heard someone yell "HEY! Those are my blueprints why do you have them?" I looked at Frank and hazel and they had a face of confusion as well. We peeked out from behind the prints and realized we were no longer on the Argo but in the middle of Camp Half-blood and there in the middle of camp was the one and only Leo Valdez looking soaked and all beat up. "Leo! Where have you been?! I've been worried sick!" I exclaimed. I run up to hug him when all of a sudden, we were slammed to the floor with was felt like a pile of rocks, but it started to talk "Baaahhh, cupcakes what are you doing here?". "coach hedge? That you?" Hazel said.
"Well it seems that something is happening, what that is exactly I'm unsure." Chiron said. "what do you mean Chiron? We are supposed to be back on the Argo II" I said. Chiron looked around and shook his head sadly. The campers were looking around looking confused and worried that something bad is going to happen. We were about to ask something else when we heard a yelp and someone fall face-first into the dirt.
Jason POV
Man, those wind spirits were tough, my hands were covered in blisters and my whole body was aching and I was looking forward to taking a shower and then as soon as I made it back to the Argo the wind spirits disappeared into molecules and I leaned against Festus. Piper, Hazel and Frank haven't noticed me yet, they were too focused on the blueprints in front of them. I was about to call out to them when all of a sudden, they disappeared into thin air. "Holy Hera!" I ran over to where they stood trying to figure out what happened "Piper!" I yell out. I turn to see Coach banging when he fell into the water below, I ran over to try and catch him but he was gone too. I started to make my way inside the ship when I tripped and landed somewhere familiar. I was in too much shock that I had stumbled and fell on my face.
"Jason?" I heard someone say above me. I look up to see Piper, Hazel, Frank, Leo, and Coach. "Leo! You're alive!" I ran up and engulfed my best friend in a bone-crushing hug. "ow ow ow Jason you're hurting me!" squealed Leo but I didn't care, Leo is alive. "what do you mean he is alive?" I looked down to see Harley looking between us with a worried expression. Leo kneeled down to hug his little brother, "don't you worry about a thing little bro no one can get me that easy" he said ruffling Harley's hair. I looked around and walked towards Piper Hazel and frank to ask them what's going on.
Chiron POV
Seeing the rest of the seven here is giving me hope that Percy and Annabeth might show up too, but it seems unlikely considering they are down in the Pit, but one can only hope considering the other members of the seven are here. While we were waiting for someone else to show, the entire Roman Legion appears. "Demigods prepare yourselves but do not attack!" I yelled; I think they are part of this thing going on so I want us to be ready for anything. I can see Octavian in front of the Legion of Romans "Romans! Get ready to rid this world of the stupid Greeks!" Octavian yelled, they charged towards us the Greeks held their ground waiting to defend their home. Before they could even collide, there was a bright light and there stood the Fates making everyone freeze in their place.
I bowed making everyone bow as well. "rise young heroes, we are here to inform you that it is almost time to begin, there are a few more people who need to join before anything else can happen." Clotho said. "we are here to stop any bloodshed that was about to occur, once you all arrive the time around you will stop so you don't have to worry about monsters attacking before you can finish the story." Atropos followed. "relax, eat and sleep here in the pavilion if you need to, you cannot leave the pavilion until everyone is here and you begin. "Lachesis ended, and with that, they disappeared. "campers! Romans! You heard the fates; we stay here until further notice. Romans if you wish you may sit at the table of your godly parent and get to know your fellow siblings, or you can sit around the pavilion and rest."
Looking around and watching some of the Romans join the campers brought a small smile to my face. Somehow Nico D'Angelo joined us, when he did, I do not know. He tends to just show up. The seven, Nico and Reyna walked over to the Poseidon table to eat and sleep, they look like they need it. While everyone begins to relax and rest, I hear the question I was dreading, "Hey wait a second, where are Percy and Annabeth?"
3rd person POV
Everyone at the Poseidon table has fallen asleep except for Reyna, she wants to make sure nothing happens to them while they rest. Jason is sitting on one side of the table with his head on the table, on his shoulder is piper fast asleep. Leo is laying on top of the table and frank and hazel are cuddling together across from Reyna and Nico is leaning against Reyna. Everything was calm and quiet for about 30 minutes, some time ago the gods came in at the request of the fates and were sitting at the head table waiting silently. When all of a sudden, the temperature started to drop dramatically and Nico and Hazel launched themselves off the table in Their sudden movement and yell woke everyone up from their slumbers.
"Nico? Is everything ok?" Reyna asked holding him steady. Hazel didn't look as bad as Nico looked but she had a face of worry. Nico was paler than usual and was clutching his head and his knees buckled below him. Reyna caught him before he could hit the floor. The air stilled around them and the temperature still dropping not a noise was made. All the shadows moved towards the front swirling like a whirlpool making a shadow portal, they couldn't see anything at first but they could hear two sets of footsteps running towards them. the campers got worried and brought out their weapons incase a fight was about to happen.
Then they heard a familiar voice cry out "We have to jump!" said one voice "You said it 20 feet!" cried another. "yes but you have to trust me, put your arms around my neck and hang on tight" said the first voice.
The campers looked around at each other trying to figure out who the voices belong to, slowly lowering their weapons until they heard a loud voice yell "THERE KILL THE UNGRATEFUL TOURISTS!" the campers then could feel a great amount of power coming from the darkness. Then the footsteps stopped and a voice cried out "GO!" Nico looked towards the portal with a face of terror and recognition, and mutters "it can't be". Reyna looked between Nico and the portal and her eyes widened.
The sound of footsteps stopped and the next thing they heard was a splash of water, and out came two people clutching each other and looking like death. They rolled many feet away and the portal closed with a scream from the other side "YOU'LL NEVER ESCAPE NIGHT". The air went back to normal but no one moved a muscle not knowing who just came out. Everyone looked towards the couple and watched how protective the boy looking one was over the girl. The boy was holding the girl close both of their eyes seemed to be shut tightly and they didn't move a muscle. Nico walked up slowly to the couple and softly spoke "Percy? Is that you?"
The boy flinched and held the girl tighter and spoke back "You're just another illusion, and just him messing with my head." The crowd around them started to silently murmur "what's wrong with them?" "who is that?" "Why do they look like ghosts?" Nico shot every person in the pavilion a look shutting them up and proceeded to walk closer to the shaking couple. "Percy it's Nico, I promise this is no illusion, open your eyes and you will see." The boy then yelled "NO! Annabeth keep them closed don't listen to them it the river trying to trick us again" the boy, Percy, then brought his sword around almost hitting Nico but he managed to grab his sword arm before he could hit him. Some people gasped at the action but kept quiet.
Over at the head table, the gods were looking at the situation some with curiosity, boredom, and worry. Two of the gods look ready to run over to their children and comfort them but were too shocked to even move. Hades looked like he was going to pass out.
"Percy, I swear to you this is real you need to trust me, open your eyes I'm right here in front of you" Nico said softly. Percy hesitated then said, "swear it, swear it on the river Styx that you are telling me the truth." Annabeth was slowly detaching herself from Percy and put her hands on the hard concrete floor below her, she gasped "Percy! Feel the ground!" He put one of his hands on the ground and gasped around. "I swear on the River Styx this is really me, now open your eyes," Nico said softly.
Percy opened his eyes first very slowly to see all of camp half-blood staring at them. He dropped his sword and reached out to touch Nico to make sure he wasn't seeing things. Nico put his hand over Percy's hand in confirmation and Percy told Annabeth to open her eyes as well. Once both eyes were open, they held each other close and cried into each other's arms. Percy then brought Nico close and hugged him which Nico allowed considering the circumstances. The fates flashed in once more which broke up the trio. "welcome young heroes, now that everyone is here, we may begin" Clotho said, "you were all brought here because there is a lot of fighting on who is better and we need everyone to know the accomplishments throughout the last 6 years." Atropos followed. "Before we begin reading, we will temperately remove the death mist that you have put on young heroes, but don't worry you will have it back to continue your quest," Said Lachesis walking up to Percy and Annabeth. When the mist was gone from the two of them, they looked tired, bloody, and like they were going to collapse at any given time. All of a sudden, the tables disappeared and bean bags and couches appeared and Percy and Annabeth collapsed into the bean bags. "Before we go we have two people that we need to bring in, welcome Sally and Thalia." Two bright lights came in and there stood Sally Jackson-Blowfis and Thalia.
Percy POV
I'm so entirely confused, one moment we are running blindly through the mansion of Night and somehow we end up in camp half-blood, the place I've been wanting to come back to for the last 8 months. Now we have to read some books that I have no idea what it is about. I don't care at this point I'm just out of that place with my wise girl for now. I ran towards my mom and hugged her tightly not wanting to let go. Annabeth was behind me hugging Thalia then joined in on the hug between my mother and I. "Okay let's get this thing over with so I can go back and kick dirt face back to sleep!" cried Leo. We all laughed and sat down when a book appeared on my lap which made me groan. "The book is called Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief" this should be interesting
