It's been a year since the disasteriod incident and Amity Park has since flourished. Under the leadership of Mayor Tucker Foley in partnership with Danny Phantom Amity Park quickly became the world leader in ghost and human co-existance.

Since his big reveal Danny suddenly had a cash flow from the Phantom merchandise, money he didn't want but found a good use for. Spending his money on opening the Phantom Zone, his own night club where humans and ghosts could mingle freely as long as nobody broke Danny's rules. He also had his own place built in an old warehouse a few blocks from his parents it included a garage for his new car and his own operational portal.

Yes things had gone well for Danny. As he sat with Tucker in their Booth at the Nasty burger catching up as per their weekly arrangment.

"So you think you finally got a lead on her?" Tucker asked in between bites of his tripple decker burger.

"yeah, based on that youtube video and some mapping of the stars it looks like she's in Philidalphia" Danny replied.

"Phili? That's a fair drive Dude why not fly?"Tucker choked before slurping his pop,

Danny sighed. Flying would be faster but a road trip just had more appeal "Well yeah, but at least with the car i can keep Dani with me even when she's to tired to fly"

"told your folks yet?"

"not yet. After the way mom went over the deep end with that thing with Sam telling her trying to explain i have a genetic 13 year old double might be taken the wrong way"

Tucker nodded in agreement. "speaking of Sam...you heard she met someone in her new school?" he shyly asked knowing it was still a tender area with Danny.

"it was bound to happen Tuck it's been 6 months since she told us"

"yeah, it's just...are we bad friends for not seeing it sooner?" Tucker asked

An uncomfortable Danny shifted in his seat as he thought on his response "No Tuck we aren't. It was high school that's probably the most confusing time in a teenagers life, Sam probably didn't even know herself not until she did some soul searching"

"you're taking that better than expected Danny i mean i would have had a good cry about it for a month or two"

"it's not like we're not friends anymore Tucker, we just ended up...playing for the same team. Can we drop this now? The vultures are ready to smash the windows in and i think your assistant is getting antsy"

With a quick parting of ways Danny returned to his dodge challenger, a promotional gift that he really enjoyed. As he rolled out of the parking lot a familiar face stared after him with a devious grin "So the dipstick is taking a road trip across the country in a muscle car how retro, he's going to need a proper rockin' play list" Ember chuckled as she flew off.

After the truce and Danny's agreement with the ghost zone Ember had gotten to know Danny a little better and didn't have a seething hatred for him anymore.

Two days later Danny was packed up and on his way. He trusted no one would violate the treaty while he was gone (however long that would be ) his black Challenger roared down the highway with enter the sandman cranked through his speakers.

"hush little baby don't say a word and never mind that noise you heard it's..."

"For the love of rock stop butchering this song dipstick!" Ember snapped as she phased into the passenger seat. Her sudden out burst startled Danny into the on coming lane before correcting back and locking on the breaks,

"jesus Ember! What are you doing here?" Danny asked.

"heard you were taking a road trip thought i'd tag along baby-pop before you argue just know it won't help i always wanted to take a road trip, granted the muscle cars were better looking back in my day but still" Ember cheekily replied.

Exhaling through his nose Danny couldn't deny he would appreciate the company so he resumed driving.

(3 months later)

Jazz was home from school for the soul purpose of Danny's home coming. He had been gone for 3 months according to her parents and was due home tomorrow morning so she was excited.

She sat with Tucker and her parents in Dannys booth at phantom zone while the lunch lady served their meals taking note of their conversation.

"i can't wait to see him feels like it's been ages" Maddie smiled as she sipped on her wine.

"that it does Madds i have to admit with Danny gone work is rather boring"

"Tucker did Danny say why he left?" Jazz asked.

Before tucker could respond the lunch lady delivered his slaughter platter a plate consisting of a half pound burger, 2 smoked polish coil sausages and one pound of smoked teqila lime wings "there you go deary meats good for a growing boy. Not to be eaves dropping sweetie but did i hear you say young Daniels returning home tomorrow?"

"that you did, and to answer you Jazz he did but i can't you" with that Tucker dove into his plate

The Fentons continued their talks completely unaware that the lunch lady was now mingling along the bar informing Kitty and her crew of the gossip.

"So Danny is coming home with less than a month until the deadline" Desiree grinned "poor Ember, her extended tour just knocked her out of the pool altogether I'll be the one to take young Danny around the world before he goes back school but i'll be sure to pass on the juicy details"

"Don't get ahead of yourself sweet heart septembers not here yet and that is when Ember gets into her mood" Kitty interjected.

As the night progressed into the late hours Danny's black challenger rolled to a stop in front of the Fenton homestead. Seeing the powder blue ford focus in the drive way told him Jazz was home. So he parked on the street lifting a little bundle out of the back before going intangible and entering the house.

Quietly Danny tucked Dani into his old bed and floated off to the pull out bed upstairs in the work shop. He was dead tired, 3 months of following Dani across the country and endless all nighters was finally catching up to him. Just as he settled in to the sheets his ghost sense went off as he felt a slender arm wrap around his chest "Baby-pop i thought we talked about this?" came Embers seductive whisper "i sleep way to hot for you to be wearing clothes, you"re cool to the touch and i like it so pants only"

A smirk dashed across Danny's lips as he rolled over to face the alluring songstress next to him "and here i thought you told me once we we're home we couldn't do this anymore?" he chuckled.

Ember however pulled his face closer before planting a kiss on him "uh-huh, so i like what we're doing Baby-pop sue me. Now you can either kick my naked butt out of bed or grab it and take me" she told him.

A choice Danny did not hesitate to make as his hands quickly snatched Embers rear "mhm good boy" she moaned.
