Finding it easier to be away from Lillie longer, Kyle had started picking up more shifts and was working longer hours, grateful for the support he was getting. Marilyn was the main babysitter for Kyle, loving the time she got to spend with Lillie, and Irene had also babysat a couple times when she's been free or meeting up with Bianca. Although today, Brax was babysitting, hoping it would help him have more experience for when his and Ricky's daughter arrived.

"Kyle, where's that brother of yours?" Ricky asks as she walks up to the bar, not looking impressed about something.

"Which one and why?" Kyle asks as he looks up from checking the stocktake.

"Brax. I've been trying to call him for ages and he isn't picking up." Ricky says.

"He was babysitting for me today. Have you tried the house phone?"

"Yep, still no answer." She says.

"What if somethings wrong?" Kyle frets, grabbing his phone and car keys from the side.

"I'm sure he'd phone if something serious had happened." Ricky says, following Kyle out of the restaurant.

Getting into the Ute, which Kyle had borrowed for the day, he heads off down the road, neither knowing what was going on. Ricky tried to remain logical about it, knowing Brax would have called if something had happened. Soon enough they were, home and both rushed up the path into the flat, stopping at the sight.

"Aw!" Ricky smiles, pulling out her phone to take a photo.

There, fast asleep on the sofa, was Brax, with Lillie asleep on his chest. Ricky glanced back at Kyle, who looked a bit annoyed that he freaked out over nothing, but also relieve that it was nothing. Taking a few more photos, Ricky puts her phone down before gently picking Lillie up, making sure to not wake either of them.

"I told you it was nothing." Ricky smirks, turning to Kyle.

"I need to get back to work." Kyle shakes his head, smiling at his daughter before walking back out to the car.

"Heard you had a bit of a freak out earlier." Heath smirks as he sits at the bar.

"Brax wasn't answering any of Ricky's calls and she said she had been trying for a while. You'd freak out as well. Turns out he had just fallen asleep, which Ricky now has photographic proof if he ever denies it." Kyle says, lightly smirking.

"Sick!" Heath grins, hoping he'd be able to use it as well if he ever needed it as bribery. "On that note, do you think she could send me one of them?"

"Why would you want a photo of Brax asleep whilst looking after Lillie?" Kyle frowns.

"Cause Casey has extended his travels again and I'm getting fed up of keeping his side of the business on top of things. I am not going to manage a business that I only half own with someone that can't even bother calling us unless it's extending his trip." Heath moans.

"You know it's basically their honeymoon, right? Meaning he doesn't have to call us all the time?" Kyle says.

"He's our brother and he's been travelling for well over a year now! He can't use the excuse of it being his honeymoon, because that was months ago. Either Brax signs Casey's share over to me, or I'm quitting." Heath defiantly says.

"Woah, you're getting a bit ahead of yourself, aren't you?" Kyle asks. "Just talk to Brax about Casey's share before doing anything drastic like that." He says.

"No, I'm done with talking about it. Brax needs to realise he's got two other brothers to look out for as well, and putting us second after Casey is not doing that." Heath argues.

"Heath, Brax isn't putting us second. But Casey was shot, nearly died in Brax's arms, and he's just worried about him now he's travelling. He's been great with Lillie and helping out when I'm struggling, so I don't see how you can say he's putting Casey first. You need to stop being so hotheaded and actually remember everything he's done for us, especially you after bringing you and Casey up. You're extremely lucky Brax changed his life around to make sure you and Casey weren't put into care, so pull your head out of your ass and think about the sacrifices he's made for you." Kyle hisses, grabbing the books before storming into the office.

Kyle had just finished sorting the books and rota out for the next week when the door opened, revealing his eldest brother. By the look on his face, he'd heard about what he'd said to Heath, and was going to make him talk about it, even though he wasn't in the mood to.

"Want to tell me why you bit Heath's head off earlier?" Brax asks, sitting opposite his brother in the spare chair. "And Ricky has Lillie before you go changing the subject."

"He was being a dick." Kyle mutters, sinking back into the chair as he fiddles with a pen lid.

"Isn't he always?" Brax lightly jokes, getting a glare from his brother. "What's really going on?"

"Nothing."

"Kyle, Heath said you had a go at him for no reason-"

"Hang on a minute, that's not true!" Kyle exclaims, cutting his brother off. "He was complaining about Casey extending his trip again, and how he was going to quit if you didn't give him Casey's share of the gym. He said you always put Casey first and needs to start thinking about us. I just put him in his place because he's lucky he had you growing up, I had no one after my mum died." He blurts out, taking a few deep breathes after realising.

"Of course he left that out. Casey has only extended by two weeks, so they could go to some cultural party in Spain and then he's coming home. Heath knows that and I've made it clear that he is to deal with it if he wants to stay as a manager. And as for putting you two second, that's not true." Brax sighs, Kyle nodding in agreement. "I know you found it tough in care, but you've got us now. You know you've never got to hide stuff from us or do anything the staff at the kids home did, you're free from any rules. Just don't keep it to yourself, okay? I'm always here if you need to talk about it."

"It just pissed me off how he takes everything for granted. I'd have killed to have a family unit like this sooner, to not be in a kids home full of satan's workers. I'm happy now, and I'm grateful you gave me this opportunity after what I did to Casey." Kyle says.

"I don't turn my back on family, especially ones that have made a mistake, like you did. It was a great decision as well, you've changed a lot. You've still got that temper but just make sure it stays on Heath, cause I won't take no shit." Brax smirks, getting one back.

"Nah, you're a babies man now. If someone told me Darryl Braxton would fall asleep with my daughter dribbling on him, I'd have told them their lying." Kyle retorts, grinning at his brothers face.

"If I find out you or Ricky have put those photos anywhere, I won't be Mr Nice Guy anymore." Brax lightly jokes, not amused when Ricky showed him them. "I don't even remember falling asleep." He mutters.

"Well if Lillie's routine is put out of sync, I know who to blame. You know I'm trying to get her down to two naps a day, and I can guarantee Ricky will give into her big eyes and put her down for one."

"Yeah, she probably will. Least we can learn for when ours gets here soon."

"How long now?"

"Five weeks." Brax smiles.
