Author's Note: Ok, here's Chapter three. Took me a little while to write this, I kept changing the script throughout, but here's the end product of those changes. Hope you enjoy it!

Chapter Three: Getting a New ship

After losing the force link with Master Plo, Ahsoka and Rex quickly gathered anything else from the downed Venator, including the destroyed R7, and loaded it all up into the Y-Wing before swiftly taking off, leaving a pile of dust in their wake.

"So Ahsoka. What's the plan here. You know we can't just take a Republic Y-wing to Cato Neimoidia, right? Especially a 501st Y-Wing at that?"

"I know Rex, and I've been thinking about that." Opening up the galactic map, she pressed a button, allowing Rex to be able to see it in the gunner's seat, before continuing.

"We crashed somewhere between the planets of Corsin and Shili. And you said that we can't go directly to Cato Neimoidia right? However, what we can do instead is follow one of the hyperspace routes and drop out above the planet Bellassa, before making a second jump to Corellia, where, we can sell the Y-wing for a good amount of credits before buying a ship of our own. And then we go to Cato Neimoidia to rescue Master Plo. We also have to do this since we can't fit all three of us in a two-seater bomber"

"Sounds like a good plan, I agree, but isn't it risky going to a planet that's in close proximity to Coruscant, and a Republic planet at that?" Rex questioned, concern creasing his forehead.

"I know it's risky, but last I heard, Republic presence is surprisingly lax on Corellia, and besides, the Freighters they produce are widely used and easy to obtain. We arrive on the surface and find a small YT-class freighter. Once we do, we can sell the Y-wing, and buy the freighter as a replacement. We should also find a store and get some new gear. Don't worry Rex, you can keep your armor and weapons. I just need to get some stuff, so I don't look suspicious. We have cloaks in the ship, but I'm not taking any chances considering that Corellia is in the Republic and there are going to be some clone troopers around." Ahsoka replied.

"Ok, but are you sure you want to do this?"

"Absolutely. Master Plo is my oldest friend. He found me and brought me to the Jedi. And even though I'm no longer a Jedi, I can't allow them to die, especially if it's a close friend of mine. For all I know, Anakin and Obi-Wan could be dead, and we'd be all alone. If I can save someone, I will take that chance, it's in my nature." Ahsoka retaliated, slightly angrily at that, causing Rex to wince slightly at the tone in her voice. During his time with Ahsoka in the war, he had never heard Ahsoka use that voice.

"Ok, I know better than to try and stop you Ahsoka. I never would be able to after all. And I'm sorry. Sorry for questioning you. I never did in the past and I shouldn't have now," Rex replied in a surprisingly quiet voice.

"I know, and I accept your apology, but let's focus on the task at hand. Let's get to Corellia and get a ship, and we'll figure everything else out on the way to Cato Neimoidia."

"I'm with you there Commander."

And with a slight chuckle from Ahsoka, the Y-wing launched into hyperspace, the stars elongating before their eyes.

A few hours later, the bomber dropped out of hyperspace above Corellia, and like Ahsoka suspected, there were barely any Republic cruisers in orbit, presumably being used in the Outer Rim sieges after the Battle of Coruscant. This would benefit Ahsoka and Rex as it would mean they would have no problems leaving the planet on their way to Master Plo. Even still, as they made their way to the planet's surface, the hard part would be trying to find a suitable ship that would allow them to essentially hide in plain sight.

Having landed on the surface in one of the numerous large docking bays near the capital city's city center, Rex and Ahsoka ventured out into the crowd, large cloaks covering armor and weapons alike, searching for marketplaces that could sell potential ships. After around 20 minutes of searching and four dealerships later, the two of them walked up to the last dealership in the area.

"Well, this is the last one," Rex said.

"Yeah, hopefully, they have a smaller freighter that's a lot cheaper than the other places," Ahsoka replied.

They entered the store and walked up to who they presumed was the owner, a middle-aged Devaronian man with red skin and a blue jumpsuit smeared with oil and engine fluid, who turned around to look at them before speaking.

"Hello my friends, and welcome to Terrand's Freighters, what can I do for you?"

"We're looking for a small freighter to purchase, a YT-1000 specifically. Have you got any around?"

"What sort of price are we talking here?" Terrand asked, his eyes slightly brightening.

"Around 20,000 credits sir," Rex replied. And with those words, Terrand's eyes dimmed slightly but remained bright for the most part.

"Ok, I have a few YT-1000 freighters that fit your price budget, all of them actually. Follow me and I'll lead you to them."

And as Ahsoka and Rex followed Terrand around into the back area and the ship, Ahsoka couldn't help but ask, "Thank you for your help Terrand, but I have to ask why you seemed both happy and sad when talking about the YT-1000s?"

"I haven't really been gaining a profit off of them," Terrand explained. "After the YT-1300s came out, the YT-1000s were sort of forgotten because the 1300s were so much better. As a result, I wasn't able to sell the 1000s at their full price, so I had to reduce the price of them in the hope that they would be bought, and most of them were, but these last few just wouldn't get sold as the 1300s and later YT classes were mass-produced, many of which were bigger, faster and more powerful than the 1000s. My business hasn't gone under because the other YT classes are so sought after and I'm able to sell all of them. I just need to remove the 1000s to make way for other ships as I decided that I would no longer sell the 1000s as they just aren't in demand."

They turned a corner and the three of them looked out into the yard of YT-1000s. "Well, here they are, have a look around, and take your pick. I'll be waiting right here for you to return. Oh, and by the way, all of them are 20,000 credits." Terrand said.

And with that, Ahsoka and Rex walked out into the yard, and for a few minutes, just looked around before Ahsoka felt that the force was trying to guide her. She followed the force's directions before she and Rex ended up back at the entrance of the yard, looking up at a brand new YT-1000 with two laser cannons, and with patchy white and dark blue accents. "This one," Ahsoka stated, getting Terrand's attention, who walked over to them.

"Ah, very good choice, I recently modified it in the hopes that someone would buy it."

"What sort of modifications did you make to it?" Ahsoka asked, and Terrand answered quickly.

"Well, I added a second gun turret on the underside of the ship, I've boosted the engines to do 500mph instead of the usual 460mph. I've upgraded the shields to be more powerful. Also, I changed out the class three hyperdrive for a class one hyperdrive, and I change the layout of the interior to add a staircase to the cockpit instead of the usual ladder. The navicomputer has also been upgraded to be faster and more precise. Would you like to buy it now?"

"Yes, but we don't have the credits on us," Ahsoka answered, causing Terrand to crease his forehead in slight frustration, but Ahsoka continued. "But actually, we're looking to make a trade. Are you interested?"

"What sort of trade are we talking here?"

"Well we have a BTL-B Y-wing, Republic model, and I believe we both know how expensive Republic equipment can be?" Ahsoka replied.

"Yes. Yes, I do know how expensive they can go for. 50,000 credits to be precise. Well, you've got yourself a deal, though it looks like you want something else from me?"

This time it was Rex who answered, "You think correct. We need some credits to buy consumables and some new equipment and weapons for my friend here. I believe 5000 credits is enough."

"Well as long as the number wasn't a huge amount, I'll go and get the credits and give them to you now. I'll assume you want to name the ship right?

"Yes we would like to name it," Ahsoka replied, before quickly thinking and continuing, "We would like to name it the Dorin Akul."

"Wonderful name," Terrand answered, "I'll update that in the registry, and I'll get the credits for you. If you're looking for a shop for clothing and weapons, there's one on the way to the spaceport, it's called Saint's Arms'. Where should I meet you with the freighter?"

"Our ship is in Docking Bay 94, and Terrand, thank you," Ahsoka replied.

"Yes, of course. I'll be there as quick as I can, it looks like I have another customer."

"Ok, thank you for your help. We'll be waiting for you at Bay 94."

After finishing up with Terrand, Ahsoka and Rex had traveled to the store Terrand was on about and bought some new gear. Ahsoka had bought herself a dark- blue jumpsuit, similar to Terrand's, but it had orange loops around her arms and an orange line on the left of her chest. She had also managed to buy a DL-18 pistol, and DC-15s sidearm, a weapon usually used by Republic Commandos, but she wouldn't question how the store owner got their hands on it, along with a holster for the DC-15S. Her jumpsuit also had a small hood that fits over her montrals, and to complete the look, Ahsoka got a dark blue mask that covered the bottom half of her face, covering her lower face markings, as well as a small pack that she wore on her back to carry extra ammo or food as well as the DL-18, although it slightly rubbed against her sensitive Lekku. Rex, on the other hand, bought a Republic commando backpack, along with a DC-17M, which he had attached to the pack.

After that, they were making their way through the crowd, when they heard a commotion up ahead. They tried to see what was happening, when a young boy, possibly just twelve or thirteen years old, burst out of the crowd. The boy was looking behind him, and failed to notice the two of them, and crashed straight into Ahsoka, who fell over with a grunt.

"Hey, watch where you're going!" Rex shouted at the boy, who looked up at him with wide, slightly fearful eyes.

"No Rex, don't," Ahsoka replied, getting up and dusting herself down, and then crouched down in front of the boy, who tried to push himself back.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you. What's your name young one?"

"H-Han." The boy replied.

"Ok Han, answer me honestly. Where did you get this?" Ahsoka asked, lifting up a small carton of ration bars.

"I, uh, I…" he didn't have time to answer before someone else did. "He stole it." Ahsoka looked up to see a Quarren barging his way through the crowd. "That little thief stole it." The man exclaimed.

"Really. Is that true Han?" She looked at Han, who slowly nodded his head, and then looked back at the Man, asking, "How much?"

"Excuse me?"

"How much for the carton, I'll buy it for him. That way, he gets his food, and you get your money." Ahsoka explained. Rex looked at her with some fondness. That was definitely the Obi-Wan of her training shining through. The man looked at Ahsoka, stunned, before replying. "Twenty Credits."

"Done," Ahsoka replied, before pulling out the necessary credits before handing them over to the man who swiftly took them and began to walk away grumbling to himself.

Ahsoka looked back at Han and passed over the carton of ration bars to him. "Here you go. Next time, try not to steal it and maybe ask for it instead." She suggested. Han looked at her silently before answering with a quiet, "Thank you, I'll take that into consideration." And with that, he stood up and ran off again into the crowd.

"Well, now that that's done with, let's get back to the spaceport. Rex nodded and together they continued their journey back.

Minutes later, they were back in the docking bay and had finished removing their belongings, including R7, from the Y-wing, when Terrand landed in the docking bay with their new ship.

"Well, here's your ship. And I assume you have yours?" Ahsoka nodded towards Rex, who walked to Terrand and gave him the ignition keys for the Y-wing, saying "Do what you want with it. Sell it, or take it apart for spares, we don't mind."

"And I don't mind what you do with your new ship, it is yours after all," Terrand replied, handing over the ignition keys for the newly christened Dorin Akul, along with a small datapad with more information about the ship.

After the exchange, and Ahsoka and Rex had moved the last of their personal belongings over to the Dorin Akul, they watched Terrand take-off with the Y-wing before getting into their new ship and taking off. They could already tell that the upgrades were in use, as it took them less than two minutes before leaving Corellia's atmosphere, and soon, after a brief moment of calculations, the Dorin Akul lept into hyperspace, to begin with the rescue of Master Plo…

Author's Note: Quite a fair bit going on here. Our favorite duo has gone to Corellia and managed to find a new ship for them to use, along with a young Han Solo. Apparently, he's 32 in A New Hope, which takes place around 20 years from now so Han would be about 12-13 at this point in time. Next chapter, Rex and Ahsoka arrive at Cato Neimoidia and rescue Master Plo.
