It's been two days since our arrival in Mystic Falls and I've spent most of it with my father. I'm not complaining but hey I wanna show off my new look. I know heading to the grill will be my best bet. It's also the only place to hang out. Dad made sure I knew that.
Each morning I awake refreshed and happy. I actually take time to plan out my outfit and not just throw things on. From the looks I get, I know people think I'm either crazy or good looking. I dress in a lot of black, leather, corsets, and lace.
Makeup is a godsend. I love it. Of course 18 years of no makeup training left me in the dark but a few YouTube videos later I'm a master.
I dress in a black corset, copper-toned leather pants, and black combat boots. I use my new found makeup skill to do a Copper smokey eye and a dark brown lipstick. I love it.
I sigh making my way in the door. Now to sell them on Izzy Swan. I decide to sit in the corner and observe. A guy that honestly reminds me of Mike Newton approaches me with a smile.
"Hey there. You new to these parts?" He asks warmly.
"Yes. I'm Izzy Swan." I give a small smile.
"No shit? You're Charlie's kid?" He chuckles.
"You know my dad?" I raise a brow.
"Dude, he's all Care ever talks about. She thinks he's into her mom." He's almost rolling on the floor now.
"What the hell, Matt? You're a server not a jester. Act like it." A tall blonde stands with her hands on her hips.
"Go to hell." He grumbles and stomps off. The blonde turns and beams at me. Her pale blue dress plays up her twinkling eyes.
"I'm Caroline Forbes. I don't believe we've met."
"I doubt we have. My father and I just moved here." I smile slightly.
"Oh my god. You're Isabella?" I swear her smile gets brighter.
"It's Izzy but yeah."
"Do you mind if I join you? I'd like to get to know the new girl before anybody else." She flips her hair.
"Feel free." I shrug.
I swear my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. Caroline just introduced me to her friends.
First, there is Bonnie, she is a total sweetheart until you piss her off. Then, Matt, he's a server and a totally nice version of Mike Newton. Stefan is pretty much another Edward his holier than thou attitude and all. Elena is a naive goody two shoes, and Tyler is a jock with both a sweet side and a bad side.
"Izzy, I like your outfit." Care sighs after everyone heads their separate ways. She judges my look of the day.
"I like it. It's edgy and you even added color. I couldn't pull it off but you look amazing." She giggles, her blue eyes sparkling.
"Thanks, Care. What's going on over there?" I point to the table where her friends are now gathered. She rolls her eyes.
"Nothing great. Stefan's older brother Damon is back in town and everyone is making a big deal out of it." She huffs.
"Well, I just so happen to need a shopping buddy. I've gotta get school shit." I shudder. Dad and I arrived just as the school went on winter break. I don't have to start until the next semester.
"Let's not talk about school. Wanna hang at my place after? Everyone else is a bit boring." She chuckles. Inviting a stranger to hang at your house? Okay, whatever.
"Well, yeah. Besides I heard my Dad likes your mom." I nudge her.
"One day, we'll be sisters. I swear it." She jokes.
"We'll see. Charlie is a bit of a stick in the mud." I shake my head.
"Nah, he's a bit of a dilf. We could invite you guys over for dinner one night." Care smiles mischievously. I nod with a laugh.
I'm really starting to enjoy Mystic Falls.
