After a whole week of Lillie being missing, Kyle's mental health had considerably dropped, concerning all three of his brothers and the girls. He was losing faith about Lillie being found, and even the police were losing hope, not having found any new leads on where the young baby was.
"Case, where's Brax?" Heath asks as he walks into the living room, not seeing his older brother.
"Why did you move out when you're here all the time anyway?" Casey asks, having seen his brother now more than before he moved out.
"Oi, Kyle's in a rough place at the moment and needs us. But that hasn't answered my question." Heath says, lightly scoffing at the realisation that he was there a lot now.
"Ricky was having some discomfort, so Brax took her to the hospital to make sure nothing was wrong. He said he'd call when he knew something." Casey says. "Kyle went for a walk about an hour ago, so I don't know when he'll be back."
"Has Brax spoken to Nate about it yet, to see what we can do to help him?" Heath asks, wanting to know what the doctor would suggest.
"I'm not sure, he hasn't mentioned it yet but I've been at the gym going through the books. Kyle was getting annoyed that we were keeping the gym and Angelo's shut, so we had to agree to open them." Casey says. "Brax is going to open Angelo's open for a few hours a day as he'd be too short staffed for anything longer."
"Kyle needs us, we can't do that if we've got to focus on work." Heath says, lightly frowning.
"Don't get into it with him, Heath. The slightest things have been setting him off today, he burnt a piece of toast this morning and stormed out." Casey says.
"Really?"
"Yeah. Ricky got hormonal about it and that's what kind of upset Kyle again. She's trying to keep out of his way, so she doesn't upset him again, but then he got angry when he found out. He doesn't want her to feel put out just because she's going to have her own baby soon. He's just struggling, so we know not to take anything personally." Casey says.
"Ricky got hormonal over burnt toast?"
"Yep, Brax said it's normal at the moment. We were watching TV last night whilst Brax was over yours, and someone fell over in a forest, Ricky burst out crying and I had no idea what to do!" Casey says, glad Denny was on hand to calm her down. "Brax laughed when he got home and said that's not the worst thing she's cried over."
"Bianca was never that bad with Rocco." Heath says, smiling at his sister in law. "And Brax thought he wasn't going to have any problems during this pregnancy."
"He's actually been pretty chill about it. And as least some of it's been cheering Kyle up. Ricky told him about her top three moments that she's struggled controlling her hormones, and it seemed to work, cause Kyle was more chatty with us afterwords."
"At least there's something that can lighten his mood. I tried everything yesterday when he came over after lunch and he just shut down even more. It didn't help when Kat told him there's been no new leads and it's unlikely they'll find anything else soon."
"I still don't understand how it happened. A 5 month old baby doesn't just disappear like that." Casey sighs.
"If they ever make this right, they'll regret it. No one takes one of our kids and gets away with it." Heath says, shaking his head in anger.
"And if something happened to them, the police would instantly suspect us in the circumstances. We need to let them deal with this because after I was shot, we promised each other there would be no more criminal activity or vendettas. We have to respect that, especially for Kyle so he can get the justice he deserves."
"Yeah, I guess." Heath sighs, just as Kyle walks back in from his walk. "Hey mate, just came to see how you're doing."
"Fine." Kyle mutters, walking straight to his room before they could say anything else.
"See what I mean." Heath says, about to go and make sure Kyle was okay when Casey's phone rang.
"It's Brax." Casey says, answering it as Heath waits for any news on their sister in law.
"So?" Heath asks, Casey putting his hand up to quiet him.
"Yeah okay, we'll be there soon. Let us know if something else happens." Casey says before hanging up.
"So?" Heath asks again.
"Ricky's just gone into labour. Apparently the doctors said she can have a natural birth because everything is looking great with the baby's heartbeat despite being two weeks early. Brax asked if we could take the few baby things they forgot to pack, cause they weren't expecting her to arrive so soon."
"Should we let Kyle know? Or one of us stay here with him?" Heath says, not knowing how Kyle would cope.
"Uh… Let's tell him. He could just get angry again if we don't and Brax wants us to go easy around him." Casey says, both of them walking into the hallway towards Kyle's room, knocking on his door and noticing Kyle pull his sleeve down before turning to face them.
"We just came to let you know that Ricky's gone into labour and we're heading to the hospital. Do you want to come?" Heath asks.
"Why would I want to come and watch Brax play happy families with his daughter whilst mine is missing, that everyone seems to be forgetting about until it they feel like remembering about it." Kyle says, grabbing his keys from the side before turning to his brothers. "Just so you know, if I find it had something to do with people you've had bad blood with, you'll have bad blood with me. And I've got plenty of dirt on you to make it worth it. It would be a shame if Darcy only got to see you in a prison uniform. But then again, at least you'll get to see her." He glares, barging past his two brothers and towards the front door, leaving them both in shock.
"What was that about?" Casey asks, not quite believing that just happened.
"I don't know." Heath mutters, swallowing a lump in his throat. "I…"
"We- We need to get the hospital to give Brax the things he needed." Casey says, confused as to why Kyle turned on Heath like that. "He's expecting us." He says, walking back out to the flat to get what Brax needed, Heath slowly following him.
"Hey, how are things going?" Casey asks, handing Brax the small duffel bag of things the soon to be parents needed.
"Yeah, the midwife's in with her now. They said she's progressing fast, I better head back in. Are you going to wait out here or head home?" Brax asks, looking through the window of the room and noticing the midwife had finished her examination as she sits back over by the computer.
"Uh, we'll stick around for a bit. Bianca is trying to find a babysitter for the kids, and then she was going to come and check in." Heath mutters.
"Okay. Where's Kyle?" Brax asks, Heath glancing down to avoid the question.
"He… Didn't want to come." Casey says, glancing in the room to see Ricky talking to the midwife. "I'm going to see how Ricky's doing." He says to also avoid it.
"Hey Case, thanks for bringing those bits in for us." Ricky smiles as Brax places the bag next to the bed.
"Glad I could help." Casey grins. "So, what's my niece going to be called?"
"We haven't decided yet. We thought we had more time." Ricky chuckles. "That's why we asked for the list of names we shortlisted." She says, Brax handing her the piece of paper from the bag.
"Which we won't be telling you till we've named her first." Brax says, smiling at his youngest brothers face as Heath hovers by the door, shuffling a bit as they carry on talking.
