"Okay, we've got everything but your backpack and locker stuff," Caroline says as she shoves the supplies into my trunk.

"Actually, I found the perfect bag," I smirk pulling the leather biker-style bag from behind my back.

"God, you and Damon have to quit with all the smirking." Care shakes her head.

"Stefan's brother?" I arch a brow. She nods with a sigh.

"He's older and super mysterious. A major bad boy. You know..." She gets an evil glint in her eye.

"Forget it, Care. I just got out of a bad relationship remember?" I narrow my eyes at her.

"Well, he has too. He's still totally caught up on his ex." She pouts.

"All the more reason for you not to meddle," I smirk leaning against my car.

"Fine... Speaking of meddling, I was thinking mom and I could have you and your dad over for dinner tomorrow." She beams.

"Genius. They'll realize that they're perfect for each other." I feel like rubbing my hands together in a villainous manner.

"Right? They have so much in common. They're both cops. They're both are workaholics. They both tend to forget about their only teenage daughters. They both are insanely lonely and awkward." Care recites.

"Actually, since the move Dad and I have gotten closer. Forget about the locker stuff for now. We need to focus on our back to school looks. If we're going to be sisters soon, we need to start dressing like it." I smirk. She nods firmly.

"But how? I'm a bit goth and you're pretty much an American Eagle model from your blonde hair to your French tipped toe-nails." I raise my eyebrows skeptically.

"Hmm. Makeover or clothes first?" She taps a perfectly manicured nail on her chin.

"I'd say makeover. That way you know what the clothes will look like with your look." I suddenly have the urge to squeal.

"Sounds like a plan. What color should I do my hair?" Care asks as she climbs into the passenger seat.

"A black root that ombres to grey and then silver." I can see her pulling it off.

"I'm already in love with the idea." She squeals. I can't help but smile.

"I'll drop you off at the salon and find our outfits. You get your makeover done." I grin as we pull into the mall's parking lot.

We meet back up in the food court later that day. Caroline took my advice and her hair looks amazing.

"Show me your outfit first." She grins as she sits down across from me. I giggle softly but pull my outfit from its bag.

I chose a black lace long-sleeved top, a black corset, a black floor-length skirt, and black knee-high boots.

For Care, I grabbed a white v-neck top, a grey vest, a grey layered skirt, white non-opaque tights, and grey ankle boots.

"Izzy. You've outdone yourself. This is awesome. You're staying the night right?" She squeezes my hand.

"Yeah, I'll let Dad know." I smile softly. I'm glad I'm making friends.

"Great! The rest of the girls will love you. I know you've met them but you guys haven't hung out." She gives me a reassuring smile. I can't fight mine in return.
