A few days after Heath had got Lillie's case file from the police, he had been desperately searching for anything that had changed since the case was closed. He had swapped his shifts with Casey, which pleased the youngest Braxton who wanted more responsibility around the gym. This gave him more time to look through the files and see where Kat and Emerson were at on their side.

"We haven't looked through a huge amounts of towns yet, but the ones we have checked came back negative." Kat says, showing Heath the list they were keeping.

"So these have no changes at all?"

"No, none." She confirms. "Have you found anything?"

"Well I've been looking back at people who lived in the Bay just before Lillie was taken, and moved out around the same time, and it only come back with a few people." Heath says. "I wrote them down somewhere." He mutters, shuffling through the pile of papers to look for it. "Here it is!" He says, handing it over.

"So these could be possible people for us to check?" She asks.

"Yeah. I've tried looking on their social medias but they've all been quiet for a while. Maybe you could use your policing skills to find out more."

"Yeah, we'll definitely check these out. I remember meeting the FED and his wife, they weren't here for long." She says, thinking back to the couple. "They left extremely quickly and no one heard from them after that."

"I always reckoned he was a bent cop. His wife stole medical supplies from Nate when she worked at the hospital for that small amount of time." Heath says. "But there's also Nate's ex wife, Sophie. She was a bit crazy, so I think she could be up there with the FED."

"We'll check her out but last I heard, she was put onto a mental health ward for some long term issues." Kat says. "I could also ask Nate if he knows more about when she was sent there and if she's out yet. Who else would you make a priority?"

"The only other two off that list that may be a suspect could be Wesley Turner, the guy who tried manipulating people to sell their businesses to him for practically nothing, and Mark Nicholson. He's always had it in for Kyle and hated that he was with Phoebe. Taking Lillie would be the best revenge he could get, plus he's a lawyer so would know how to get away with it. We don't know what happened, but he went AWOL after finding out Phoebe cheated on Kyle." Heath replies.

"Okay, I'll let Emerson know when he comes in for his shift, and we'll get onto these straight away." Kat says. "Wait, what about Billie Ashford? She had that weird obsession over Kyle for a while, and apparently she didn't end up going to Fiji with VJ, and he now has a new girlfriend. Is it possible she did it in the hopes Kyle would get with her?"

"I don't know, she never really spoke to me when she was around. She was only set on Kyle, and being with him. I didn't know her well enough to know if she would abduct a baby, but maybe Ash or VJ might. I don't know who else was close to her. Maybe Leah could help." Heath suggests, feeling pleased with the new routes they were getting.

"I'll add it to the list of things to do." Kat says, making a note. "We'll check out the priorities, why don't you check the rest? Social media is the best platform to use, if not, try their friends, family, anyone who had a close connection to them. If nothing comes up, then it could be a dead end."

"Okay, just keep me updated on those ones." Heath says as he stands up, taking the now unorganised file with him.

"I still can't believe you're working with the police." Casey says in amazement. "Heath Braxton is working alongside the people who have arrested him, it's-"

"Casey, shut your mouth." Heath glares. "I am doing this to get our niece back, Kyle's daughter. They're the only people who can help us and it's the only choice we've got."

"What're they doing now?" Brax asks, dismissing the fact they weren't talking as he needed to know what was happening.

"I gave them a list of people to have as priorities to check out, if that comes back with nothing, then they'll keep checking town populations for new parents." Heath replies, also dismissing it for Kyle and Lillie's sake. "Even if it comes back with nothing, it's still a pretty huge step."

"But why couldn't this be done before?" Casey asks.

"We had nothing to go on then. We didn't think to check people who had lived in and left the Bay at the time, because it seemed unlikely. But checking some of the people that did, they could be a possible suspect. Like take Nate's ex for example, she went psycho at everyone and nearly crashed into Kyle that time. And Billie, it's no secret she was obsessed with him." Heath says.

"Billie's one of the suspects?" Brax asks.

"Yeah, it would make sense if she was the one who took Lillie. She could have seen it as a way of getting Kyle to be with her. I looked into it and she never settled anywhere. VJ moved to Adelaide with his new girlfriend and Billie went quiet."

"I thought she was moving to Fiji?" Casey frowns.

"She was meant to but didn't end up there. Kat's going to look into her along with that FED Ryan Shaw and his wife Jasmine, Sophie, Mark Nicholson and Wesley Turner, the guy who tried ripping everyone off." Heath says.

"That's a good amount to go on. Something has to come up with that. But why a FED? Surely he wouldn't have taken Lillie?" Casey asks.

"You were travelling when they were here, and he wasn't right." Brax says, having had a few run ins with him. "I'm sure he was bent, and his wife wasn't that great either. Nate caught her stealing from the hospital just before she quit, and it turns out she had been at it for a while. They left pretty quick, and no one was expecting it, but they didn't really socialise with Kyle." He frowns, thinking back to when they were here.

"No they didn't. But thinking about it, that FED did a deep background check on all of us for no reason, and then started questioning us for stupid things. That's the only way they could have known about Kyle. But my guess is still Nicholson because it's no secret he hated Kyle, and would have hated him more for getting full custody of Lillie." Heath says.

"So I missed loads when I was travelling." Casey mutters, wishing they didn't keep extending so he could have met his niece in person, hoping he would one day get to. "What happens if nothing comes up with any of them?"

"Then we go back to checking new town populations. And don't ask me what happens after that cause I have no idea." Heath says. "Kat is going to call when they get something to go on, so we just have to wait."

"Let's hope it's not too long." Brax says.

"Imagine if we got Lillie back before Kyle came home." Casey lightly smiles.

"Yeah, that would be great." Heath nods. "It would mean he has something to focus on other than his own thoughts all the time."

"He won't be, we need to help him once he's discharged and we'll be keeping him occupied with things. Case, you could even plan that trip to Italy with him some of the time. You wouldn't have to go for ages, but it's something for him to look forward to." Brax says.

"Yeah, I'm sure he'd enjoy doing that. But we all know the one thing he'll want to do is return to work." Casey says.

"Well I'll just have to convince him to take more time off. But we've still got time until this needs to happen, he has to be discharged first." Brax says, heading into the flat to check on Ricky and Emilia.
