Today is Very Special, coz our very own KaiHil Queen, Droplets of Blue Rain a.k.a. Misty entered this beautiful earth. Stay Blessed Dearie, may all your wishes come true...
I've been mesmerized by Auroras, ever since forever XD! And this is what I came up with while reminiscing my two most favorites. Here's the first surprise mentioned on my profile since ages. Hope you like it :D
Disclaimer: K-391 and Alan Walker are the rightful owners of Aurora and Different World respectively.
Lets begin!
...AURORA...
The cold Siberian wind hovered through the snow-covered conifers. Whooshing and simmering, striking the hard yet textured cambium of Spruce, Fir, Cedar, Pine and Larch trees that spread all over the region. A few poison Hemlocks were embedded in between as well. What could complete the scenario other than the burden of powdery, white snow on the ground? Nothing but a cloudless, star-studded night…
In this serene aura, a black Bugatti Veyron could be seen moving swiftly along the spiral pathway, encircling a hummock. It came to a halt as it reached the table-top like peak. The flatland was enveloped in soft, velvety grass. Camellias, Hellebores, Snowdrops and Winter Cyclamens added a punch of floral beauty; while the mystical Winterberry hadn't lost its charm even in the darkness of the night. A magnificent Willow tree stood towards one end of the cliff, but had quite large and safe distance ahead of it.
From the driver's side, stepped out a dual-haired man in his mid-twenties. He was wearing a navy blue, full sleeved shirt, with sleeves rolled upto his elbows and black denims. Motioning towards the other side, he opened the door and held out a hand. "Lets make it quick my lady." His charming voice could be heard.
"Not too fast Kai. Or your darling daughter's gonna kick me so hard." She said dramatically, as she came out with his support. Who could dare to boss around on our phoenix-prince, other than his lovely wife, Eveline Alden Hiwatari! She was clad in a wine-red high low hemline, laced dress; with off shoulder laced sleeves reaching just above her elbows. It was knee-length from the front and touched her ankles from behind. Hair arranged in an ironically neat messy bun; frontal tresses rolled back and secured above the bun with pearl clips. A delicate golden olive wreath placed above the rolled hair added to their charm, while a few wavy/curly locks completed her look.
"Don't you dare utter a word against my princess Eve!", he laughed, trying to sound dangerous. "You love her way too much than I do. Drama was never meant for you." he exclaimed. How had he transformed from the once cold-hearted, lone wolf to a warm hearted, caring and social(not too much but yeah, he spoke more than the classic 'Hn' atleast) person was like a mystery that could excite even Sherlock Holmes. The one blabbering in front of him was the answer.
"Off course hubby. How can I dare commit such a crime ?", she commented sarcastically. "Hope you remember the reason for making me dress-up like this, in this spine-chilling Siberian cold. 'Cause, I've been asking since the past one and half-hour...Are you even listening?" He smirked as he led her under the willow tree, holding protectively. "But why are we here anyways?"
"You'll know in 10, 9,8…." He began the countdown glancing at his wrist watch. "…3,2, and 1" As soon as he finished, a green-turquoise light tinted the starry sky. Within minutes, the hue changed to blue at some parts. It was mesmerizing to watch the sky draping itself in those Curtains of Light- The Auroras. The blue-green lights slowly spread over the vast expanse, just like ripples of water spread all over the surface when you drop a stone on it. Moving like disco lights, the shades of pink and purple had also joined the show. It was as if the gaseous ions, that had been magnetized by the solar storms, danced in the melody of nature.
Kai tilted his head to look at Eve, who was so engrossed in devouring the Northern Lights with her lively emeralds as if they had been thirsty since ages.
He was leaning against the willow, with Eveline's back gently pressed against his broad and muscular chest. Their right hands intertwined lovingly, and the left ones embracing her eight-month-old baby bump. His point of perception shifting from his wife to the skyline every now and then.
Feeling almost like a secret,
Hidden in an Emerald Sea…
And I'm drowning in your green eyes,
Got that power over me?
The increasing-decreasing luminance of the dazzling auroras was so inviting that the vocabulary of this entire world failed to find a perfect compliment. The wavering of those lights could easily remind anyone of the folds of the curtains that lay on almost all windows; yet there was something so mysterious and enchanting among those mystic lights of the North.
"K-Kai, it's….it's beautiful." Eveline finally managed to stutter, eyes still affixed on the sky.
For a moment, he stood mesmerized by those emerald green eyes, those very eyes that made him fall for her five years ago. After dating for three years, he finally summoned up the courage to propose her. On an intricately designed boat, on the cold waters of lake Baikal, amidst numerous floating candles. The fifty shades of pink that had occupied her usually composed facade; the pure droplets of lacrimal fluids that had drenched her rosy cheek; the ecstatic smile on her cherry-red lips; the euphoric kiss that followed, every tiny memory of that day, had engraved itself on the canvas of his mind. Those words and emotions could have appeased Lady Lada herself, she was a mere human then. But in Kai's eyes, his Eve was prettier than anybody else, even the Deity of Love.
I see you light up the sky
A dance in the night,
Aurora
I see the stars in your eyes
Believe in your lies,
Aurora
She still had that composure; would blush when he got intimate, but that was all overshadowed by the biggest and saddest grief, they had encountered. She smiled so that he won't lose any hopes. Shed tears in secrecy, though they weren't hidden from him anymore. They had never felt this helpless ever.
Flashbacks-
(Eight months ago)
That day, the entire Hiwatari mansion was adorned with lights and flowers, as if it was any big festival. The warm vibes could be felt as soon as one crossed the threshold. And why not? The mistress of the house had given the most precious news of their life to the master. Guessed it, right? Yes, she would add a new member to their small family soon.
(Three months ago)
This was the day when they got to know that they will be welcoming an angel. His joys knew no bounds. He didn't jump crazily like anyone would, simply hugged her warmly and kissed on her temples caringly. Her happiness doubled seeing him joyous. That moment none could have anticipated the darkness that was treading towards them slowly.
(One month ago)
They returned from a rendezvous with her doc. Their expressionless faces, devoid of the usual excitement, already denounced the upcoming disaster. He held her similar to the way, he did a few months ago. That day he had been happy like the dawn and today he was uncertain like the twilight. She would leave them forever...Severe complications had arisen in her body, that went unnoticed for long. The possibility of her recovery was receding with each passing day. However, the doctors were quite confident about the baby's survival. Killing the unborn life might have altered the chances of her life- though being risky. But then, how can you expect a mother be so cruel? Eveline stood firmly by her decision. Kai knew she was correct, so he accepted, without much arguments, despite the fact that he was shattered completely from within.
That day, they promised each other silently to stay strong and smile through all the torments, for the sake of their love. After that, she would be free to fight with God for being so heartless towards her family, that hadn't even bloomed properly and he would be committed to raising their daughter- all alone.
Deep inside her diary, he had found her suppressed wish to see the auroras of the Northern Skies, as a kid. So here they were currently, fulfilling those dreams...
"Glad you liked it" He said, kissing the back of her palm and tightening the caress.
Mine for a Moment, then you're Gone,
And I'm still holding on
To a Light in the Sky
A dance in the night,
Aurora
Gradients of green on the canvas, with patches of blue, pink and slight shades of purple had now started to fade away slowly. Layer after layer, the game of colours was being played by the light above a distant lake by now.
Just when you could think it's all over, the brightness of the flickering aurora borealis increased; as if bidding a final goodbye to the gemstone orbs of our sky gazers. That was enough to bring a much needed, true and strong smile on their faces. And even tears of joy in the eyes of the brunette lady.
The illumination was still present along the stars when she turned around; their faces just inches apart. They stood, looking at one another, speechless, with happiness filled eyes, that were more than enough to convey those unsaid emotions. Automatically, his thumbs rose to her face and wiped the traces of her teardrops. "I want to seal this moment forever." she looked hopefully towards him. Instinctively, his head bent a bit, arms wrapped around her waist. While her hands enclosed his neck. The distance between them lessening, binding each other in a light yet passionate hug. Still, their foreheads were gently in contact, eyes closed, sinking in the moment forever. After a magnificent display for around thirty to forty-five minutes, the stars stood once again in the clear blue-black void.
"So, is this why you asked Kenny and Emily about today's weather?"
"They told you?" He asked seeming surprised. "Nah, Tyson was saying to Ray and others, just heard it." she winked, "Gotta be careful next time Kai." she let out a small laugh as he raised an eyebrow.
"Their won't be a next- time" he smiled sadly, regretting the words he just spoke. "Know what Eve? I just want to hide you deep inside my heart, to love you forever. Don't know how or what I'll explain to Lia."
"Lia?" now it was her turn to raise an eyebrow. "Our princess's name" he curtly replied.
"I thought we settled down for Mera. Where did this new one pop-up suddenly?" she asked, getting a little perplexed. "Ok wait. We are naming our only angel, it has to be something we both can agree upon." she stated her perspective.
"That means you have it in your mind, right?"
"What can I say? Nailed it as always." and she smiled contently.
He looked lovingly in her eyes. She was going through a lot at that time, yet her face showed no signs of distress. That calmness was like a silent healer to him, invisible yet so soothing and effective. She wasn't anyone ordinary then. Eveline Alden was fierce. Hamper unnecessarily? So be it! Was her persona. Yet, that form was reserved rightfully for him. Entire world knew her as an ambitious businesswoman, gaining accolades everywhere she went. For friends, she was a respectable sister; with whom they could crack endless jokes, complain about Mr Sourpuss and confide all their worries. She had no family formerly, they were just like her brothers and sisters, so she would also be affectionate towards them.
The cold wind rustled through the tiny leaves of the willow. The flowers nearby, perfumed the air. Kai grew up in the cold so he wasn't bothered much by it. But he knew his wife. She would prefer to shiver discretely, than tell him to return, thus ending the moment. "Come on now, lets return. You need rest." He said while his hand tenderly stroked her cheek.
"Not so soon, Kai" she rested her head on his shoulders. "What else Eve? Seen the auroras, that was all you wanted, right?"
"But...That's not my last wish..." "What is it then?" he asked softly encompassing her slender wrist.
"...To not die on her birthday..." At those words, the suppressed tears forgot to abide by the threshold of her lashes and cascaded like a waterfall, drenching her face.
What consolation was he supposed to offer at that. Embracing her in another warm hug, he whispered, "Mine too."
One Year Later-
The same black Bugatti Veyron landed on that very cliff, on the same star-studded winter night. Kai, stepped out clad in a black shirt and denims this time. A black overcoat in his hand, that he placed at the backseat. Glancing around, he smiled nostalgically, reminiscing that night of the previous year. 'Hasn't changed a bit' he mentally remarked.
Inhaling deeply, he opened the door. The moment his eyes fell on hers, he smiled brightly. For, there was the youngest member of the Hiwatari family, secured well on the baby seat. She was the exact replica of her mom. That fair complexion; those brown tresses, with a streak of slate blue hair on the right side(that she got from her dad, off course); chubby yet rosy cheeks(that added to her drop-dead cuteness; and those curious little emerald orbs that were busy devouring the sudden change of surroundings at that time. She was wearing a baby pink ruffled frock with a snow-white, fur coat, to prevent the cold. She squealed with happiness on being picked up by her most favorite person in the entire universe.
"Where's my darling princess Merlia, Have you seen her?" he said in a cheerful voice. To which she giggled in such an amusing and cute way, that it could be said to be sufficient to melt even diamonds. "Da...dda" her baby voice uttered adorably.
By this time the canvas of sky was engulfed by those very Auroras.
"Say hello to mamma" he whispered zealously.
"Ma...mma?" She waved her hands, seeming to dance under the Aurora Borealis, excitedly chanting. "Mamma" Merlia squealed again. Astonishing her father, 'cause he himself had never heard her saying a complete word before.
'Those are your blessings Eve.' he felt the presence of the elder brunette among those glowing gaseous ions. 'You've kept your word. Love you so much' she mentally thanked his wife.
Flashback (Inside the hospital chamber of Eveline)-
"She's beautiful Kai", Eveline said as soon as the newborn was placed in her awaiting arms. As a tear of happiness escaped from the corner of her eye. She kissed the baby tenderly.
"You had any doubt?" he asked sitting on the edge of the bed, as if the event was a long anticipated one.
"How can you joke at a moment like this Mr..." before she could finish, a deep aching sensation acquired her body. Wincing badly, she handed the baby to her better-half.
"Eveline, you alright?" he grew very concerned then. "Mmh" she could barely say.
"Stay strong please. We both need you Eve. Don't leave us like this" he grew sombre within minutes.
"Kai...I..I'm alright," she said shakily as the nurse injected the pain-killer and left. "You know, I'm not going anywhere. How can I simply go like this, tell me?" He looked in her eyes, as if asking 'Really?' "Off course. just look at those Auroras once. You'll understand, I promise. Love you so much sweetheart."
"I.." before he could finish, she shushed him with her frail fingers. "On her first birthday, bring her on that very cliff, you took me to. I will be yearning to see her then. Reply to my confession, if you really sense my presence. Promise me" she raised her gaze hopefully.
"I will. Don't you dare forget it Mrs Hiwatari, else I..." he stopped unable to say further.
"Won't you ask about her name?" she said in an effort to cheer him up.
"Which one you thought of? I just forgot. Sorry" he sadly whispered.
"Merlia Hiwatari. How's it?"
"Perfect. It means.."
"Feminine magic. Just like she entered our lives, enchantingly."
She passed away as soon as the golden rays of the rising sun were felt on the earth...
Take me back,
Back to the, Moun-tain side
Under the, North-ern Lights,
Chasing the stars...
Take me back,
Back to the, Moun-tain side.
When we were, full of life,
Back to the Start...
Sooo, how was it? Do tell me in the reviews.
Hey Mist,
long story short- my idiotic lil' cutie-pie messed my PC, thus sending all the documents to a God-knows-where Realm. And unfortunately, I lost the original Aurora, hence had to re-write it. Though I tried to write everything as it is, some parts might be mish-mashed T_T T_T (There's still an hour left for the day to finish. Yippee!)
How I wanted to dip my hands in River Kairy that's been flowing across ffn since morning. Honestly, couldn't summon the courage to kill Hilary once again. So please bear with it.
Pardon all grammatical errors and mistakes.
Thanks for reading. Bye.
-Ellie :)
