Changes I've Made:
-The mask of betrayal does not exist in the Ninjago realm, but for this one shot, it does.
-I've Changed the interaction between Lloyd & Harumi
-The ingredients for the summoning alter have changed
The mask of betrayal is a unique mask. Not so much like the other three masks, this mask serves one purpose. To cause betrayal amongst a specific person the possessor chooses.
Harumi had spent days gaining the trust of the Ninja. With the Sons of Garmadon already have taken the main two, plus the one she needed specifically for Lloyd, they had the only one more mask to grab: the Mask of Hatred. The Ninja were only familiar with the the three original Oni Masks: the orange Mask of Deception, the red Mask of Vengeance, and the purple Mask of Hatred.
Yet, they weren't familiar with the mask of Betrayal. One could say that mask of Deception could work, but that serves another purpose: it allows the user to control, move, and manipulate objects by using telekinesis.
But this mask gives control of another person by wearing it. With Lloyd under her wing by being so merely convinced that she loves him back and being an ally, she'll have her hands on the final mask in no time. She couldn't wait to break the news to him over how everything they had been through was an act this whole time. She never really did love him. He was just a pawn. Though, at times she did end up questioning her feelings on the boy. Whenever she did, however, she always ended up shoving them deep within her to focus on her main goal: bringing back the savior, Lord Garmadon.
How could she love a person who's apart of the fault of her parents dying by the Great Devourer? Lord Garmadon saved the city that day. Not those pesky Ninja. She glared at the boy from behind before returning back to her neutral and innocent look. For a Green Ninja, he was quite naive and gullible. Love really can make a boy do anything for a girl.
But Harumi had a plan. She couldn't discard the boy once after she grabbed the mask from him. She wanted to see how far her manipulation tactics could work onto the boy. Would he abandon his friends just to side with her over love? How badly did he really love her? If all else fails, there's still the mask of betrayal at hand. She could use it to her advantage. Making Lloyd turn against his friends and have an upper hand. She was sure Garmadon would be pleased, and with Lloyd's powerful elemental abilities, they'll have full control of Ninjago in no time.
And if however Lloyd somehow manages to fight away the power of the mask, it would be too late. His friends would have fallen, nobody would be there to help him. Garmadon could simply defeat the boy, maybe even kill him once and for all. With hope if the circumstances reach to that point, maybe Lord Garmadon could replace his son with me, Harumi, his daughter.
As they walked nearer into the Oni Temple, her excitement grew further. The temple insides were dark and rigid with the place littered with traps to keep the unwanted out. "Stay here," he commanded, not wanting Harumi to fall into a trap and perish as he decided to try it out first. She could tell Lloyd himself wasn't sure which step to trust on the floor. Some were littered with markings as Lloyd tested on out by stepping on one cautiously, only to result in almost falling to his doom when the ground beneath him broke.
"Okay...," he started as he turned around to face the girl who hadn't left her spot since they got inside. "Don't step on the ones with that symbol," he instructed as he pointed down to the ground with the significant marking. Harumi nodded understandingly as she watched Lloyd turn back around. Grinning, she decided a little sabotaging could work great right about now.
She bent down and pressed on the symbol he told her not to step on, causing the temple room around then to crack and the ground to tremble. "What's going on?!" Lloyd shouted as he turned to look back at the "frightened" girl who was still in the same place as before. "I-I don't know! I didn't touch anything!" She lied, exclaiming in panic while Lloyd believed her every word as he noticed the entrance way closing in. "Harumi! The entrance!" He shouted with wide eyes, trying his best to get back there while the entrance caged in with its teeth-shaped rocks.
They were forced to move on from there as they rushed through the trapped layered floor. After cautiously making their way through, Lloyd lit up his hand with a green flame and held it upward while walking through the next hallway. The two took in the ancient drawings on the wall, studying them as they walked by. "It must be the story of the Oni," Lloyd speculated while Harumi stood there taking in the drawings that were shown in the light of his fire.
They later moved on, ending up in a dead end but it didn't take long for Lloyd to figure out the mysterious puzzle behind to unlock a secret entrance way to the chamber. All he had to do was strike at the wall with his energy, causing the room to abrupt in a green glow while the wall broke. They walked through, the chamber being dark and open, with the sides leading down to another deep abyss of darkness.
Harumi smirked evilly behind Lloyd. She was just a couple feet away from the final Oni Mask that stood hovering in front of them in the purple flames. Harumi eagerly and excitedly walked over there before Lloyd could, and sought to retrieve the mask through the flames. Only to get her hand burned as she reached through, causing her to flinch in pain.
"Only someone with Oni blood can grab the mask," she explained towards Lloyd, turning towards him as she didn't realize the big mistake she spoiled, revealing her true self. Lloyd was quiet as he approached the mask, taking it away from its pedestal with ease as the purple flames vanish. "C-Can I see it?" She asked, reaching for the mask as if Lloyd would give it over; still playing it off as she acted as if Lloyd suspected nothing. Meanwhile, he clutched the mask close to his chest, in denial over the reality of the situation but it was slowly getting to him. He had a skeptical look laced on his face as he didn't dare to turn his back to face her. "How did you know only an Oni could grab the mask?" He asked her softly.
"It only makes sense, I mean, it is an Oni Temple after all," she nervously chuckles, going back to trying to reach for the mask. Lloyd once again blocks her from reaching for it as he clutches it towards his chest tightly, walking away from the pedestal with his back still facing her. "No, how did you know I was part Oni?"
"You're related to the First Spinjitzu Master, he was an Oni," Harumi answered, grinning a little as she approached the boy, placing her hand on his shoulder while his back faced her. He contemplated everything going around him, especially what was coming out of Harumi's voice. She continued to reach for the mask, only to be turned away by Lloyd who slowly walked in the other direction.
"But I never told you that. Jay and I where alone when Mystaké told us the story," Lloyd continued, his insides clenching around his heart as he continued to try and deny the truth. "You were never there." He repeated, turning towards her at last. No. It can't be. Harumi can't be working against them this whole time.
"T-Then I must've heard it from Jay," she lied, still trying to hide her cover as she tried to reach for the mask once again. "I find that hard to believe..." Lloyd soundly spoke, the sound of disappointment and upset lingering in his voice as Harumi knew at that point her cover had been blown. He snatched the cover from her light grasp and turned in another direction, the tension slowly escalating between them. She expected the distress to be a lot more savory, but rather for Lloyd, it was just distress. But she knew she had made a mark on him.
She placed her hand on his shoulder but Lloyd shrugged it off. "I don't want to believe it... You're the quiet one?" He asked her, turning back to the angered girl, now her back turned away from the distressed boy. His voice sounded as though what he was saying was in total denial, his once lover actually against him this whole time. "How could you say that?" She spoke, sounding shocked and offended as she slowly turned her head back towards the boy, knowing she was bound to blow her cover any minute now to show her true colors.
They both faced each other for a brief moment as Lloyd struggled to grasp the concept, wanting to cry out but kept it tucked inside him. "It all makes sense now," he coughed up as he walked back towards the direction of the once lit altar. "The greatest villain is the one you never knew was there in the first place." He leaned against the rock altar, closing his eyes to process everything. "You said that," he spat, glaring at the girl from behind. Harumi coughed up a light and quick laugh, yet a frown laid there. "Oh yes, I'm the criminal mastermind," she confessed, though still having a tone of denial coming out to deny any of the claims, even though there wasn't any point. He knew she was lying. And she knew it herself.
"How could I have done this? Do you realize how silly you're sounding?" She turned the boy back to face her, her face inches away from his as a frown laid on his once bright yellow face. "I-I love you," she whispered, trying to regrow that lover bond they once had, hoping to manipulate him once more as she ran her hand down against his chest, feeling the soft texture of his fancy green gi. She leaned in for a kiss, hoping he still would believe her but she felt Lloyd's firm grasp on her shoulder, pushing her back as he had a stern look on his face. Already knowing the truth. It was too late. "Stay back," he sternly said, glaring towards Harumi as she stood there shocked, knowing she would have to enact plan B soon. "Lloyd—" she started, a look of shock and disappointment on her face as she tried to act all hurt, hoping to manipulate the boy with a last resort.
"You only wanted me to get the mask you couldn't find yourself," Lloyd glared, backing away slowly as he held the mask with his other hand, holding it back. Harumi followed, now deciding to reveal her true colors. "I didn't need you to find the mask. It already would've been might hadn't your idiot friends not stolen Wu from us," she grinned menacingly. "The baby is Master Wu?" He asked flabbergasted, looking towards the girl.
"Oh that's right, you didn't know. I knew to keep you close," she smirked, approaching him once again while Lloyd continued to back up. He was definitely having a hard time processing all of this. But mainly, he was shocked and heartbroken that his only lover was never really on his side to begin with. "Not everything goes to plan," she whispered as he walked up behind him, putting her hands on both of Lloyd's sides. "Give. Me. The mask," she spoke menacingly, hoping to intimidate the boy and have her ways with his already emotionally vulnerable state. "No, I can't let you have it," he denied, shaking his head as he continued to clutch the mask and pull it away from her already light grasp on it.
"I won't let you bring my father back. Not like that."
"Oh then if you won't give it to me," she started before enacting a surprise kick attack towards him, causing him to be pushed to the side as the mask flew to the other side. "Then I will take it!" She yelled out once Lloyd got up back on his feet and faced her, his fighting stance positioned. The mask laid between the two, both their eyes on it as they made sure the other wouldn't get the upper hand before them.
Harumi let out a growl before diving in towards the Mask after glaring towards Lloyd. Fortunately for Lloyd, after firing a ball of green energy, the mask was launched in another direction near the edge because of the explosion. "Why?" Lloyd yelled out as he jumped on top of Harumi, keeping her pinned down on the ground. He looked down onto her as he tried to keep her pinned to the ground. "I never asked to be a princess," she spat, talking through her clenched teeth of frustration while continuing to wrestle the Chosen One.
Suddenly, Lloyd was flipped onto his back and Harumi was on top. "Just as I never wanted to become an Orphan," she spoke through the grunts of the boy as he glared up at her. "But you gifted me that," she spat, leaning close to the boy's face to say that as if it would make a grander impact on him. Lloyd suddenly pushed Harumi back.
"How did I do that?" He glared, fighting to keep her on her back. "The Great Devourer! It was too strong, to bit for you and your friends!" She exclaimed, managing to sit up and pin the boy against the air by the shoulders. After glaring towards him, she suddenly broke out a laugh, coddling his cheek. "Lloyd, you aren't so naive to think no one got hurt that day?" Her face was close to Lloyd, as if she was about to kiss him again while Lloyd focused on getting free. "Did you?" She whispered, causing her to fly back after Lloyd pushed her off of him in anger.
"It wasn't until the Almighty Lord Garmadon saved the day!" She shouted, angrily staring over at the boy, clenching her fist. "But he couldn't save my family." She looked away in sorrow for a moment, trying to get over her emotions. "It was too late," she whispered. "I died that day too," she spat, speaking gravely with her eyes closed. Lloyd took this moment to his advantage, holding his hands towards the mask that was laying still, his hands developing another ball of energy, ready to fire and destroy the mask. "Give me one good reason not to destroy this mask," he demanded, peering over his shoulder in anger.
Harumi turned towards him, glaring at him. "I'll give you two!" Lloyd looked back at her, ready to fire at any moment. "You want to see your father again." Lloyd turned his head back, looking down and thought about it for a moment. She was right, but at the same time he knew his father would never be the same. But what if he could change him like before? He managed to do it once, couldn't he do it again regardless? Harumi grinned at the contemplating boy, taking out the green mask of deception and putting it on, making her eyes glow a bright green for a moment. She let out an evil laugh, causing the boy to look back at her bewildered and shocked.
"Oh poor naive Lloyd. You really never knew about the Mask of Betrayal this whole time? How unfortunate," the voice echoed, Lloyd seemingly frozen in place as he stood there staring towards her as if in a trance. His green eyes ended up glowing as he looked over to her the longer he stared. "Number two, you love me too much to betray me," she whispered, placing her hand on his shoulder as she stood inches away from his face. Lloyd tried to fight the trance, trying to close his eyes but his feelings and the effects of the mask were both overpowering him to the point he felt he had no control on himself whatsoever.
"Ah, your emotions," she whispered in his ear with a grin. "You do want to see your father again. Join me, and we'll reunite him. You'll make your father proud. No more shall it be father vs son. But rather, father and son. And together, you and I won't be on opposite ends," she continued to whisper, brainwashing the boy along with the power of the mask. Lloyd stood there letting her words in his mind, not being able to fight them.
He stood, clenching his eyes shut along with his teeth, his hands forming into fists, causing the green elemental energy ball to fade and vanish once his hands were let down. He looked down with his eyes closed, Harumi grinning evilly. She had the boy in her grasp. "Let me have the mask, Lloyd," she softly spoke, reaching her hand towards the direction of it, hoping the power of the mask would do its purpose.
As if Harumi wasn't the enemy, Lloyd approached the mask with no question and picked it up, turning back towards her, his bright green eyes glowing a little lighter than before. Harumi grinned, reaching her hand out for the mask in which Lloyd handed over without hesitation. The mask was indeed working. "Excellent. You'll make your father proud," she proudly stated, looking down at the mask and studying the front before looking up and smirking.
"Let's go. We have some preparations to do before the arrival ceremony."
"Yes Harumi," Lloyd spoke, beginning to walk alongside the girl while she instinctively held his hand as they walked. Even though Lloyd was under the trance of the spell, he still felt something when he felt Harumi's hand with his. "You Ninja took everything from my life. Now, let's see how they'll react when their own friend turns against them!" Harumi exclaimed, raising her hands in the air for a moment as they made their way back out of the temple.
"You love me, don't you Lloyd?" she suddenly asked, stopping the two of them as she turned to face him in front of his face with a saddened and yearning look. To tell if it was an act again from her part was unknown. "I'll always love you Rumi," he answered, grasping her hands in his as she let out an evil grin of a smile. I may not truly have forgiven the old Lloyd Garmadon who was amongst the others that killed my family. But this new Lloyd Garmadon will not be like that. He'll punish those pesky Ninja for me!
They continued their journey out of the Oni Temple safe and sound. Kilo was there marching in front of Ultra Violet and Mr. E.
"The Quiet One's got the final mask!" He exclaimed joyfully before his small disappeared once he saw that Lloyd was behind her. "Behind you Quiet One!" Kilo exclaimed, pointing behind her as Harumi herself turned to see Lloyd, standing by her with a stern look on his face. "What's he doing here?" Ultra Violet questioned, holding her short three spiked dagger at hand, ready to attack if Lloyd made any unexpected moves.
"Behold! I present to you, the real Son and soon to be Prince of Ninjago, Lloyd Garmadon!" She yelled out, presenting the boy in all his glory as she stared at him with an evil grin. Lloyd also grinned evilly, staring at the two before the other members joined in and cheered. Their moment of bliss didn't last long before the rest of the Ninja stopped by to try and stop them after jumping out from the bushes. "Lloyd!" The group cried out, relieved he was okay. "The quiet one is Harumi!" Kai exclaimed, as if Lloyd didn't already know the obvious. "Not so fast! You address her as the Quiet One!"
He exclaimed, glaring at his fellow once teammates and got ready in his fighting position. He took out his sword, shocking the others as he pointed it towards them. Meanwhile, the other Sons of Garmadon, S.o.G. began to surround them.
"L-Lloyd? What's going on with you?" Nya cried out, concerned with the sudden change in Lloyd's character. "This isn't you Lloyd! Snap out of it!"
Kai called out, glaring in anger while also making sure the other S.o.G didn't inch any closer to him. Harumi stood back and watched, laughing as she continued to enjoy the betrayal the ninja were feeling in that moment that their Chosen One didn't seem to be their hope any longer. "Can't you see? I am the real Son of Garmadon!" Lloyd yelled out towards the Ninja, his eyes glowing green for a moment.
His stare looked like he was specifically targeted towards Nya when in reality, it was intended for all of the Ninja. Nya glared back at him, but she knew it wasn't the real Lloyd. It was Harumi's doing, she turned over only to glare back at Ultra Violet, who let out an evil chuckle. "Hehehah, well hello again!" Baby Wu continued to innocently walk around the group, minding his own business as the sound of his baby gurgles could fill the air.
The fight hardly started before a large roar of a giant creature could be heard. The ground shook with a thud as all eyes went to their surroundings, all their sudden focus was on the giant creature. They all stood quiet, waiting for the mysterious beast to make another sound or even appearance. And that it did. The next thing they all did was run in the opposite direction after the giant beast exposed itself by jumping through the vegetation and foliage.
"What is that?!" Kilo exclaimed after taking a moment to look back at the creature that was only a couple feet away from catching them all. The creature looked like a prehistoric giant crab scorpion, it's claws the size of cars with its shell the color of rusted metal. It had the length of two and a half school buses with a size of a five story building. It roared in frustration, as if it was angered to be woken up while it continued to chase the villains and heroes to a small island. The giant crab scorpion swam back into the water, planning another surprise attack as it swam around the island, orbiting it.
The Sons of Garamadon and the Ninja were all standing in a circle, their backs together and weapons at hand while they faced the perimeter, readying and preparing themselves to fight the beast. The beast let out a roar as it bolted out of the water and climbed back onto the island, the two opposing sides splitting up and trying to stop the beast. It seemed in that moment, there were no enemies and villains. Everyone worked together as a team to stop the beast (or at least manage to make an easy escape).
Lloyd did his part in fighting the beast as he fired away balls of his elemental green energy. He continued to do so until Harumi gave the signal for him to return, making sure to guard her. With his Ninja cover still on his face, he made sure none of the other Ninja would try and make any moves on her. "I can't leave without the other masks!" She exclaimed before calling the rest of her teammates to hop on the stolen Destiny's Bounty of the Ninja.
Once Lloyd and Harumi got on board, they peered over the wall, staring away at the Ninja who were left stuck on the island by themselves, having to deal with the mutant creature on their own, and possibly perish. In no time, the Bounty took off in the air with the help of its rocket boosters. The last the Ninja heard were the evil laughs of Harumi.
— Dusk had fallen in the city of Ninjago and the resurrection temple was almost ready. "Soon the Almighty Lord Garmadon will be seated as the rightful ruler of Ninjago. These people never once appreciated the gratitude Lord Garmadon did for them. The Ninja hardly could stop it. And now, with you Lloyd on my side, we'll be able to conquer this city and much more together with ease alongside your father. But with Lord Garmadon as ruler,
There will be grace. He's the rightful owner and savior," Harumi spoke aloud to her people, Lloyd agreeing with every word she spoke while the room filled with cheering.
"We have the son! Victory is within us! Ninjago will see a new dawn! The Ninja will soon be no more. No trouble will ever be afflicted with Lord Garmadon as ruler." Harumi was now in her true self. Her blonde hair let go down her shoulders with a red splatter of red paint at the top of her forehead and through the eyes and her black robe all fastened together. She led Lloyd up to the summoning altar, deciding it was best for Lloyd to join in and bring his father together.
"Guess we didn't need the insurance," she laughed aloud, Ultra Violet joining as she pushed Misako inside the cage regardless. "Son!" She cried out, staring over at the boy who was still under Harumi's spell. "What has she done to you?"
"They're bringing back my father, mom. He's going to restore Ninjago." He answered, looking back up to her as she gripped the rusty cage metal bars tightly. "Lloyd, listen to me! That man she's going to bring back is not your true father!" She tried to convince, hoping she could knock some sense into the brainwashed boy since she felt powerless in the moment.
"Your wasting your breath lady," Harumi laughed, smirking as she stared up at the powerless caged woman. "He's on our side now, with the help of the mask of Betrayal."
Misako gasped, suddenly recalling about a fourth forgotten mask in her studying. All this time she thought it was a myth, but it was real this whole time. "Son, please! Don't let her do this!" She cried out as Harumi rolled her eyes with a smirk. "Some people won't believe it until they say it," she sighed before walking over to her spell book.
After pricking a hair off of Misako, she dropped the hair inside the bowl along with the vile of Lloyd's Oni blood. Misako crept crying out for Lloyd to snap out of it to the point Harumi commanded Kilo to sink her cage into the piranha infested waters below just to shut her up. She needed the hair of the mother, the hair of the brother, and the blood of the son. "The Ninja will stop you!" The already drenched mother cried out, using it as some point of a threat which only caused the S.o.G to break out in laughter over her faith.
Harumi didn't laugh, she just glared at Misako. "If the Ninja did break in during this ceremony, they have another thing coming. You drowning!" She yelled out, hoping that would shut Misako up which she ended up succeeded in doing. She turned towards Lloyd, his mother gripping the bars tightly as if they would break from her strength.
— Nightfall was here and the sound of police sirens and yelling could be heard by the entrance of the grand palace. "Good. You've brought the masks," she said towards her three captains: Kilo, Ultra Violet, and Mr. E. "Any trouble?"
"Nothing bad enough the rest couldn't handle," Kilo answered as Harumi nodded in response. "Any signs of the Ninja?"
"Not one."
"Good." Harumi turned towards Lloyd, he did the same but towards her. "Everyone in places! Align the masks!" She yelled out to the side while the two of them headed of the book. Lloyd kept guard while Harumi looked through the pages of the book to find the right spell.
Once the masks were in place in the shape of a triangle, Harumi began the spell once she found the right page. "Clotho Venge," she started taking a moment to pause, the alter beginning to abrupt in small flames. "Clotho Desair!" The circular patterns on the ground begin to turn, Harumi begins to grin, alongside Lloyd somewhat. "Clotho Pa'iese!" She shouts, causing the masks to start floating in the air, in no need of being held by the three S.o.G generals. The three masks begin to face her, all aligned in a formation of a triangle with Harumi and Lloyd being in the center. "Lloyd! Please don't let her do this!" His mother cried out, but Lloyd ignored her, glaring at her for a brief moment which caused her to look down at the ground in safeness.
"Where are those Ninja?" She quietly asked herself, shaking her head. This wasn't good. "Clotho Venge," she said towards the orange Mask of Deception began to light up in some purplish white flames. "Clotho Desure," she continued, directing it towards the purple Oni mask of hatred, causing it to also light up in purplish-white flames. Finally, the final mask; the red mask of Vengeance. "Clotho Pi'ese!" She shouted to the final mask, also lighting it up in the purplish white flames. She then began to make motions from one mask to the other, causing a bright beam of light going from one mask to the other.
Once she motioned to the final mask, the beam had made the shape of a bright triangle above both Lloyd and her. The floor began moving around, a purplish glow lighting up the outlines as she continued the ritual. She grinned over at Lloyd and then proceeded.
"Clotho Venge!" She exclaimed, the joined triangle of connected masks beginning to rise higher into the air, everything around the two of them escalating the very second.
Bright orangish red beam of light escaped one mask and hit the other, following by the second mask firing a beam of light to the third, and then back to the first mask. "Clotho Desure!" She continued to shout out along with the final spell, "Clotho Pai'ese!" The masks began to rotate around them quite rapidly at a fierce speed, almost like they were forming a barrier. She continues to recite and shout the same three verses multiple times, before doing it once more.
"Clotho Pai'ese! Rip the fabric between realms! Oni I call upon you, connect me to the Departed Realm!" She shouts, the floor beneath them with its outlines of three large drawings began to glow purple. The spiraling circle above them in an instant changed shape back to a triangle, and then clapped together to form a single line and in an instant, opened back up to reveal the portal to the Departed Realm. The realm portal glowed purple and blue, the wind increasing as it blew in the faces of the two. Lloyd smiled proudly alongside Harumi. They were really doing it. They were really bringing back his father.
Harumi stared up at the portal, smiling proudly. "Yes," she whispered, standing there for a brief moment. The wind was so strong it blew the fire of the altar out. Harumi had to bend down and shield herself from the pressure of the wind, not even the S.o.G generals were saved from the pressure.
Misako's cage was being blown because of the wind, as she gripped it tightly, beginning to fear for the future of Ninjago. "Son!" She cried out, hoping he'd here him. Lloyd didn't bend down, he only shield his face from the wind. Harumi began to panic, hoping the mask of Betrayal she had on wouldn't fall off her face because of the strong wind gusts. She made sure to keep it on. She stood back up once she adjusted to the pressure and began to let out an evil laugh, the ghostly sounds of the wind blowing through her hair as she did so.
"We call upon thee Lord of many names. Lord of destruction! King of shadows! Lord Garmadon!" Harumi yelled out, staring up into the portal while also trying her best to keep her stance and not get blown back by the wind. "Garmadon!" She yelled out again, a smile on her face as her hands were thrown out into the air towards the portal. A sudden growl of annoyance and grogginess could be heard coming from the portal, making Misako's insides quiver with fear. Both Lloyd and Harumi looked at each other with an evil smirk. "Who calls me?!" The muffled angry growl could be heard later on as they smiled overhearing the voice of their Lord.
"Son please! That is not your father!" Misako cried out, begging Lloyd to wake up and realize what he was doing, even though the time was ticking faster. "Father! I'm here for you father!" Lloyd called out this time, waiting for an answer as a sharp growl could be heard coming from the skies. Lloyd grinned evilly, staring up towards the portal alongside Harumi. "Follow our voice! Hear our voices!" They both cried out, the Ninja on the other hand began fighting the others outside the circumference of the altar. "Join us Lord Garmadon!" They continued to cry out, hearing an angered echo of a snarl come from the portal.
"Follow the shadows!" She cried out, laughing evilly as the two of them stared into the sky, awaiting for their Lord's reply. An evil laugh could be heard coming from the sky as everyone looked up to listen for a brief moment. "We hear you! Feel you! Come! Be mortal once again! Your son wants to see you! We both want to make you stronger! It is I, Harumi!" She yelled out, making Lloyd join in to introduce himself again to the new Garmadon. "And it is I, your son, Lloyd Garmadon!" He yelled out. "Come to us! Follow our voice!" The sky looked as if a tornado was about to touch down, the winds not loosening any time soon. "Ha... Room... I... L... Loy...d!" He could be heard struggling to speak the names of those who call him through the portal, trying to get familiar with the names.
"Your time is now!" She continued to cry out, smiling up at the dark purple sky. "You cannot stop it! The end is near!" Harumi smiled towards the glaring Ninja who were forced to stay behind the cycling spiral of wind surrounding her, forming a strong barrier.
Suddenly, all the Ninja began to do Spinjitzu. One by one, colorful tornados of the designated Ninja began to appear. First Nya, then Kai, Cole, and then Jay. They may be outnumbered by one to finish the job, but they still tried.
All of them together, began to inch their way to the spiraling wind vortex, and with one luck by Kai going the furthest, he managed to break into it and push Haroomi and Lloyd out of the radius of the altar. "No!" She cried out towards the sky once she was knocked out of her position to complete the ritual. The last could be heard was Garmadon's laugh fading while the portal shrunk. "Noooo!" She continued to cry as the portal began to close right before her eyes. Haroomi was too busy mourning at the loss of the portal closing, she didn't realize the mask of Betrayal had been knocked off of her face, causing Lloyd to slowly break free of the trance she had on him.
Once the portal closed, all the masks began to fall back down onto the ground in their place. She leaned over the alter, causing the bowl to spill over the edge and panted. "Father," she quietly spoke, closing his eyes for a brief moment as she shook head head, trying to clear his mind. The sounds of crickets could be heard filling up the night ambience again.
Lloyd turned towards his friends who didn't take long to surround him. "Lloyd!" They exclaimed, wondering if he was alright. Lloyd slowly got up, still dazed and confused over what had happened. "W-What... happened?" He asked the group, touching his head as he tried to continue collect his thoughts.
"Harumi put a trance on you or something! You were close to summoning your father again!" Jay informed, catching him up with everything he had missed when he was under the control of Harumi. "But thanks to Kai, he stopped it by knocking her out of the whole ritual."
"It was nothing," Kai chucked, smirking for a brief moment as Lloyd looked over to the mourning Harumi with a saddened and upset look. His smile went away once he noticed where he was looking towards. Approaching Lloyd by his side, he placed his hand on his shoulder. Lloyd glanced over and saw the discarded mask she had been using on him to the side. He walked over and picked it up, examining the unique texture and design of it.
"Come on boys! Let's go clean the house!" The sound of the commissioner could be heard as all the police officers rushed through the hall and into the main ritual area, arresting all the S.o.G. members. Cheering could be heard from the officers as they ran and joyfully arrested them with their handcuffs. "Mom!" Lloyd exclaimed as he rushed over and with the help of Cole, embraced her in a tight hug. "You're okay," he whispered against her neck, feeling horrible he had let Harumi do such a thing to him and make him turn against his family.
"M-Mom I'm sorry, I-I," Lloyd started, looking away as he could sense she may be disappointed in him because of how deluded he got because of love. And how Harumi managed to take advantage of him to the point he turned against the close people in his life. His mother smiled warmly and placed her hands against his cheek, forcing him to look into his eyes. "Oh Lloyd, you have nothing to be sorry for. That wasn't you, you did none of this," she reassured, making Lloyd feel numb with emotions. She hugged him again as he struggled to make words, but could only form tears as they glided down his cheek. Then he notified it wasn't any point to cry. Harumi was defeated and his father was no more. Ninjago could sleep safely tonight.
After some time of apologizing though none of the Ninja actually took Lloyd's apology, because like Misako, they knew it wasn't the real him. He was forced under Harumi's control. Misako took the mask from Lloyd to do some more research. She claimed it wasn't his fault, but hers due to her lack of research on the fourth madk. If she knew better, she would've found a way to prevent the same situation of Lloyd being controlled.
As the Ninja walked down the steps of the palace, the police force cheered happily towards the Ninja while they smile and waved towards them. Lloyd noticed Harumi being seated inside a police van. Just as the officer was about to close the door, he stopped them and opened it, seeing her tied up like the prisoner she was. "Please," Harumi begged, trying to manipulate Lloyd again while he glared at her angry. "You were right. This isn't me—"
"Stop. Save it for someone who cares." He spat, cutting her off. "It looks like you were wrong. You weren't the one who got away."
Harumi began to let out a growl, getting up despite having her hands locked in cuffs. "I hate you lloyd Garmadon! I never loved the real you! I'll be back, mark—"
Lloyd shut the van doors as the police van then began to drive away, Lloyd glaring at the imprisoned girl for as long as she was in the view of his eyes.
