Hello again…
Before reading the chapter, I would like to give you some bad news and the first is: a sincere apology if it took me two weeks to update this series for back pain (after spending a lot of time on the computer) also with severe pain in the thumb (from spending too much time on my cell phone) I've been in this pain for the past year and decided to take a break
The second news: The next story I was going to publish will be published in July. I'll only finish my "accidentally in love" story for this month, as there are only a few chapters left
And I will finally update this series every two weeks or until next month, an apology dear readers but I really need to get away from the technology a bit

WORKING WITH THE ENEMY PART 1
Nico and Pedro's fight was the wake-up call of all the students but the teacher Martha did not think the same in addition to being hurt Nico and Pedro broke the old music players that brought beautiful memories to each student who studied at Blue Sky immediately on The cardinal and the canary were taken to the infirmary to be reviewed for the blows that were caused and then with the principal of the school "Chris Wedge" a hummingbird with green feathers, brown eyes and some tousled feathers on its head.
"We have been with this new school year for two weeks and the problems have already started," said Principal Chris sitting at his desk looking at Nico and Pedro sitting in opposite seats accompanied by teacher Martha and her tutor Miriam the Green Macaw
"Director Chris, I'm so sorry about what happened, give me a punishment, but please don't tell my parents what happened," Nico pleaded, with a small ice pack in his right eye.
"You boys broke something very valuable for school," said Miriam, the woman with green feathers.
"That can be replaced," replied Pedro while carrying an ice pack tied to the left side of his face.
"That music player was a useful item for the dance class and for school events," said Martha with a little seriousness.
"We are really sorry, teacher Martha, I am sure it will not happen again," the Canary apologized once again.
"If he is right," added Pedro, "we will not fight again, we promise."
Principal Chris was a very kind guy to all of his students and assistants but he did not like to see accidents at his school mainly the student fights
"We will have to cancel the welcome dance" said Martha with a bit of sadness
"Principal Chris will make sure that my students receive their lesson because of what happened this will not stay like this"
"I know you will, Miriam, but this time I want these guys to take responsibility for their actions" the hummingbird intervened, rising from her seat
"What kind of punishment will we receive?" Nico asked taking off his cap, showing that he was scared.
"In one week it is the welcome dance and since we do not have a music player, you two will be in charge of organizing the dance"
"Than!?" both boys replied
"I think it's a great idea sir" congratulated Martha
"I agree" said Miriam looking at Nico and Pedro
"No ... I'd rather receive a ..." Pedro's conversation was interrupted by Nico
"We accept" Nico said accepting the director's proposal
"Very well, it has already been decided. They have a week to organize the welcome dance"
"But sir," Pedro replied once more, but the hummingbird's seriousness was so intimate that he did not respond.
"But do not think that you will not be punished for what happened, both will help the cooks of the school during the break and will have a low grade in the art class," Miriam clarified again.
"Okay," both young men replied without saying a word about it.
Nico and Pedro got up from their seats and left the office along with their tutor, who was still thinking about what their students had done "Listen to me both" Miriam spoke "I know they have their differences and a different way of thinking, but please both behave well and I want you to react to what happened"
"Yes teacher Miriam" answered Pedro
"I will not happen again I promise" Nico promised
"Good, now shake hands" the Green Macaw ordered with kindness
Both boys obeyed Miriam and gave each other a handshake showing that they would be at peace but deep down Pedro was still upset with Nico since thanks to his fight he had to organize the welcome dance
"Now they are going to comply with the principal's request, I will see them in the next class"
Nico and Pedro walked away from the green female without saying another word when they were as far away from the direction as possible Pedro was the first to speak
"Because you said yes"
"Did you want us to be expelled?"
"This wouldn't have happened if you hadn't started the fight."
"In the first place you were the one who started all this tell me, did I offend you with one of my actions?" Nico asked.
"You always crossed my path only causing problems"
"I did not because anything besides everything I did was an accident"
"And this was also an accident?" Pedro asked sarcastically pointing to his hurt face
"We are both responsible for what happened and whether we like it or not we will have to work as a team"
"I would rather lick the bathroom floor than work with you"
"Me too but we have no other option, we have a week to organize a dance"
"That sounds like a pack to me."
"You are not going to help me?"
"It wouldn't even help you. I'd rather be punished by my parents than this."
Pedro walked away from the young canary, leaving him with the word in his mouth thinking that if he was doing the right thing, the bell started ringing again and it was time for a short break, all the young people left their classrooms to have breakfast in the dining room. Day was Mexican style tacos
"I didn't expect that Nico action" Kipo spoke as he waited for his friends who were still lining up in the cafeteria
"Neither do I," Rafael said when he heard his friend's question.
"Is Nico doing very well with the director?" Blu asked while waiting for his breakfast
"Here you go, boy" the school cook gives Blu a plate of Mexican tacos
"Thank you," Blu thanked and walked away from the cook with his friends to find a table and have a leisurely lunch.
"Do you think Pedro caused the fight?" Kipo asked
"If from the first day in gym class Pedro looked at Nico with hatred and envy" answered the question of his friend the young Spix Macaw
"I think you're right"
"Well, any punishment Nico and Pedro receive will be very good for both of them," Rafael said, sitting down in one of the dining room seats to enjoy his lunch.
While the three young men had a quiet breakfast Nigel and his friends had finished having lunch
"What a fight, don't you think?" asked Felipe leaving his plastic plate in a deep container that would lead the dirty dishes to the kitchen assistants
"If that little chubby has potential and speaking of fat people, where is he?" Nigel asked
"I heard they were punished," Gaby answered her friend's doubt after leaving her plate in the container.
"Well at least we were not responsible for what happened although the Toucan wanted to get in the fight" Felipe points to Rafael
"Forget it old, that boy and his friend Blu would not mess with us," said Nigel once more, leaving his plastic plate in the container so he could leave the kitchen with his friends.
The dish container led to the dishwasher room where the kitchen assistants washed all the food instruments by obligation of the director and the cooks Nico and Pedro had to wash all the dishes in the kitchen
"This is great without a doubt this is the best punishment of all" Pedro spoke sarcastically when he saw all the plastic dishes that they had to wash while wearing a white coat (like that of the butchers) so as not to get wet or stain with food
"So tell me," Nico spoke as he continued to wash the dishes.
Unexpectedly, a plate with enough red sauce fell out of the bowl and splashed onto both boys, dirtying their white coat that the cooks lent them
"I hate spicy" Nico spoke sadly when he saw that he had some hot sauce on his face
"Check your plate before you send it to wash up dumb!" Pedro spoke looking at the container (knowing that no one would listen)
"I very much doubt they will listen to you"
"Shut!"
"How are young people doing with their work?" Asked the main chef of the cafeteria. (A pigeon with brown feathers and some white spots on the chest)
"Not bad" Nico replied with kindness
"I knew about the fight and the punishment they had, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have lunch."
"Thank Mrs."
"Can you tell me Alejandra?" Alejandra introduced herself to Nico "I'll leave you an extra portion of breakfast near the stove so they don't get hungry"
"Thank you Mrs. Alejandra"
"Well I leave you with your work" Alejandra moves away from both boys and continues with her work
"Why do you have to be nice to everyone?" asked Pedro
"I am not a rough boy if you give respect you will receive respect"
"I think you are a fool"
As Nico and Pedro continue their dishwasher service, the students continued to enjoy the thirty-minute break, eating breakfast, hanging out, or preparing for the next class. The bell rang again and as today was Thursday it was culture day for all freshmen. The cultural classes were dance, music, theater and drawing, each class was presented in a different classroom with the necessary materials except the dancing class since some young people had broken the old music player
"Before starting the class I want to make a small announcement" spoke an emperor penguin "unfortunately there was a misfortune in the dance class of the teacher Martha the music player was destroyed by one of her classmates so we will work with the teacher Martha and your dance students for a while
"Oh…" some students spoke with disappointment (since some hated dancing)
"I know that some of you hate dancing and the noisy steps that dancers take, but I have already committed myself to teacher Martha but I promise that this will not take forever," Professor Penguin promised.
"Well at least we will rest from practicing next" Dayana spoke softly to her new classmate Lila
"You are right but I do not think it is anything bad to see the dance classes" commented Lila carrying a violin in her hands
(Sound of a door knock)
"Can I come in, Professor Richard?" Nico asked with a bit of pain carrying his briefcase (the piano) in his hands
"Good time to get to the young class, Nicholas," asked Richard.
"Excuse me, Mr. Richard, I had a matter to resolve," replied Nico, entering the classroom.
"Well I hope it doesn't happen again"
"Where were you?" Lila asked Nico as he sat next to her "Blu and the others were waiting for you during lunch
"They punished me for what happened," replied Nico, adjusting himself for the class.
"You almost took your eye off" Lila looks at Nico's puffy eye (she was no longer carrying the ice pack)
"That's not the worst" Nico interrupted "I also have another punishment"
"Will they suspend you?"
"I have to organize the welcome dance with Pedro because we broke up with the music producer"
"That is in a week"
(Sound of knocking on the door)
"It must be Martha and her class" Richard approaches the door to receive the dance students "and remember guys I don't want to see hate faces to the dance students" once again, warned the penguin before opening the door
"Dance?" Nico said with the doubt of his teacher
"For what you did, we will work with the dance class until they buy a new music player" Lila answered her friend's question
"Oh god, this couldn't be worse" asked the canary, sarcastically tightening her cap
"Thanks for helping us with what happened Richard" Martha thanked accompanied with her student dancers
"We are friends from the university and although we can no longer have fun as before, we can do something together," replied Richard
"But with our students"
Both adults laughed out loud as the dance students entered the music room that was big enough for everyone. Rafael, Eva, Jewel, Roberto, Pablo, and a few other students had signed up for the dance class when all the young men entered the classroom. Rafael approached Nico, who was still talking to Lila.
"Brother, where were you?" Rafael asked
"Hi Rafi" Nico greeted the Tucan "you didn't expect what happened, did you?"
"It is the first time you have fought with someone. What did you gain by facing that cardinal?" once again asked the young toucan
"He provoked me; he was tired of his insults"
"But thanks to your actions you are punished" interrupted Lila
"Punished?" Rafael was amazed
"The director Chris ordered Pedro and me to organize the dance for next week" the young Canarian answered once again the same answer
"That's fantastic" Rafael celebrated
"It is not"
"But you are good at organizing parties and composing music" Rafael gave his friend a compliment
"But Pedro does not want to help me with the work" Nico interrupted "if we do not comply with the request we will be expelled"
The conversation of the three young people was interrupted by the teacher Martha, who was very grateful for the kindness of her best friend Richard "Guys, I know it will be a little awkward to work with the music boys, but I promise it will be temporary"
"It doesn't bother me" Jewel said softly
"Me neither" concluded Eva
"By working with teacher Richard and her class, we will practice the basics: slow dance. Now meet with your ...
(Sound of a door knock "once again")
"Excuse me, teacher, Martha, can I come in?" Pedro asked, carrying a larger briefcase in his hands.
"Of course young man, you came just in time" said Martha without scolding the cardinal
Pedro entered the room with his backpack and a box where he kept a large instrument when he saw Nico in the same class, he was surprised and upset, he was still upset with him about what happened.
"What are you carrying in that suitcase?" Marta asked
"I brought a saxophone I brought it for art class" replied the cardinal
"Does Pedro like music and dance?" Nico wondered in his mind after hearing Pedro's response.
"Do you know how to play it?" Marta asked again.
"A little my father taught me"
"Interesting and why don't you play with Professor Richard's band"
Pedro was surprised by Martha's proposal, he did not expect her to ask him to try his instrument with Richard's music orchestra, but when he knew that Nico was one of them, he decided not to
"But I'm in the dance class"
"I know, boy, but you were the only student who didn't show me the type of art you love to practice"
"But I…
"Come on if I see that you are good with your instrument I will not lower your rating score for what happened" proposed the peacock woman
Martha's offer was good, which Pedro could not deny, and if she managed to surprise her teacher, she probably would not have to work with Nico.
"Okay, I'll do it," answered Pedro calmly.
"Excellent now I want everyone to form a couple of two as we did the previous class" Martha ordered her students "remember your dance partner because they will practice with him for the rest of the year"
Immediately the boys from the dance class formed a couple of two as some boys were already close friends Roberto and Jewel decided to practice together (like other boys) lastly were Rafael, Pablo, a scarlet girl and Eva
"Do you want to practice with me?" Pablo asked Eva
"Of course"
"Wait Eva" Martha interrupted "I would like you to practice with him" Martha points at Rafael with her gaze
"Me?" Rafael said
"If you two would be a good dance partner"
Although Rafael never had contact with Eva, he was a little nervous, he did not expect that someday he would dance with someone from the same family as him (by that I mean the kind of toucan)
"Okay, I'll practice with her," Eva replied without reproach.
"You two will work together" Martha joins Pablo with the girl with red feathers
Without any response, Pablo and the scarlet girl prepared to dance
As the dancers organized, Richard and his students gathered in a circular fashion to think about the song they would play.
"So which one will we play with?" asked one of the students
"We will play Raül Di Blasio's piano" answered the professor penguin
"But haven't we finished practicing that song yet?" Nico interrupted
"I know they plow it well, remember we are a team" Richard encouraged all his apprentices
"And what part will I play?" asked Pedro
"You improvise boy" Richard replied "I want to see your talent"
"Improvise?"
Although Richard's spirits were good Pedro did not feel safe with this participation
"No one will judge you boy if you love music you must feel it in your heart for that reason they created the instruments because when you play them you show your feelings with the rhythm of the strings, keys you know what I mean
"Very well I will improvise"
"The guys with the guitar will not participate so they will take a break" Richard advises
"Once again you were right" Lila whispered in Dayana's ear
"Very well guys, get ready to play because we will be practicing with the dance class for a long time" ordered the emperor penguin
"We're ready Richard" Martha notice
"Very well, let's start both classes"
And we come to the end of the chapter, dear readers, and an apology if I could not publish in these two weeks, I really need a break, we just saw that Nico and Pedro will have to work together with the welcome dance, Rafael and Eva will practice dancing together
The name of the school principal is from the founder of Blue Sky Studios (Chris Wedge), director of the movie Epic and some voices from this company that now belongs to Disney. As the director of the Epic movie, I decided to make Chris a hummingbird; since in the movie the leaf soldiers use the hummingbird as transportation (Chris did not do the studio alone. There are other people, but he is the main one)
