Chapter 3: A Royal's Revolution

Touma, Twila and Mishima stand in front of the castle in shock and amazement "Look! it's the castle from yesterday!" Mishima said as he and the twins ran into the front door.

"We made it back… That means what you two said about this Metaverse place was true…" Mishima said.

"Of course it was true! Was there any room for doubt?" Twila asked but then she and Mishima looked at Touma and saw that he was in the same clothing and wearing the same black and red mask that he was in when he first awakened to his Persona abilities.

"What?" Touma asks.

"Brother, your clothes…!" Twila pointed out as Touma looked at the clothing he was wearing but he was more happy than shock.

"That happened last time too, huh!?" What's with that outfit!?" Mishima asks as Touma puts on a smug look on his face.

"What? Are you guys jealous?" Touma asked as Mishima's and Twila's faces reddened.

"Don't be ridiculous!" Twila yelled while blushing.

"Yeah, We're not jealous!" Mishima said.

"Wait. We shouldn't talk about it here." Twila said as she motioned the boys to follow her to their old escape route.

"I think we should sneak through here." Twila said as she pointed at the vent that the three used to escape from last time.

"Yeah, we might as well." Touma said as the three of them went inside the air duct and infiltrated the castle.

Inside the room that the three were in last time, Touma noticed a map that had the details of the castle's first floor and a floor called "The floor of pleasure". Touma grabbed the map and went to notify the others "Hey, guys." Touma called out quietly.

"What is it brother?" Twila asks.

"Take a look at this map." Touma said as Twila and Yuuki looked at the map and saw a place called a "Safe Room" and decided to go there.

Once in the safe room, The room distorts a little to reveal a classroom in Shujin Academy "Wait, isn't this a classroom?" Mishima asks.

"Most likely in reality. Maybe it's called a safe room because in classrooms, Alice has no dominion over them." Twila speculated.

"Yeah, so maybe the shadows won't attack us in here. Mishima, you stay here and stay quiet with my sister." Touma said as Mishima understood where Touma was coming from.

"Then you better take this." Mishima said as he gave Touma a gun and some medicine.

"Is that a gun!?" Twila exclaimed.

"Don't worry, it's just a model so it only makes sounds. But it looks so real, you really can't tell the difference." Mishima explained.

"Well it's better than nothing. All right, wish me luck." Touma said as he left the room with the fake gun in toe but Twila soon tries to follow after him but is stopped by Mishima.

"Twila, what are you doing?" Mishima asks.

"I'm going after my brother." Twila simply said.

"But there are shadows out there! Plus, we don't have the same powers as your brother has." Mishima said.

"Well, we still need to help." Twila said as Mishima knew this to be true.

"Fine. But i really don't think it's a good idea." Mishima said as he and Twila left the Safe room and went after Touma.

Outside the safe room, Touma looked at the map and decided to go to the Room Of Pleasure to see what it's like until he felt a presence behind him and pointed the gun at the presence only to see Twila and Yuuki "Sis!? Mishima!? What are you doing here!?" Touma asks in shock.

"I came after you so we can find Alice and make her stop whatever she's doing!" Twila said.

"Sorry, Touma. I tried to stop her." Mishima said.

"Sis, it's too dangerous!" Touma said as a guard was coming their way and the three hid in a corner "Okay, we'll talk about this later!" Touma told his sister as he sneaked behind the guard and jumped on top of him "Show me your true form!" Touma yelled as he ripped off the metal mask off of the guards face reverting to the monster he fought the previous day.

"Okay, let's do this!" Touma said as he used his knife to kill one of the shadows and the other one was trying to burn him alive but Touma dogged and used the gun as a bluff "Don't make me use this!" but the shadow didn't care and started to attack Touma again.

"Your loss!" Touma said as he pulled the trigger and the gun fired a bullet at the shadow that killed it instantly.

"I thought you said this gun was a model!?" Touma shouted at Mishima.

"It is! I don't know why it shot actual bullets!" Mishima shouted back as he was just as confused as Touma.

"It might be because this is a Cognitive World. I believe that as long as the opponent sees it as real, it becomes such." Twila explained.

"Then it's a good thing I have a realistic looking gun." Touma said as he put the gun in his coat with his knife.

"Come, We need to keep going." Twila said as she went in front of her brother.

The boys went in front of her before going into the labeled room they were going to check out, since they were close and no enemies were around "Sis, what's going on?" Touma asked his twin.

"What are you talking about, brother? I'm alright." Twila lied.

"Sis, I know when something's bothering you." Touma said as Twila sighed.

"Okay… I just miss home. Brother, father abandoned us because of what you did. Didn't it occur to you that i wasn't adjusting to our new situation!?" Twila asks as tears threaten to spill out.

"Sis…" Touma was at a loss for words.

"And then there was Alice who made it hard for me to even like this school! She made me feel like i didn't belong here!" Twila started to cry but Touma hugged her.

"I'm sorry I didn't notice." Touma said as Twila began to calm down and looked at him with a content smile forming on her face.

"Come on. We got an evil bitch to stop." Touma said as he, Twila and Mishima entered the Room Of Pleasure.

Once inside the room, The trio saw both boys and girls tied up and beaten to a pulp as Touma went up to one of the girls "Hey! Who did this to you?" Touma asked the girl.

"Please! More torture master~!" the girl said sexually as Touma saw in her eyes that she was broken just little recently.

"She got broke by Queen Alice. She's nothing but a shell of what she once was." The boy right next to her said.

"Then we need to get you guys out of here!" Mishima said.

"Wait, i don't think we can. I think these people are just a part of her cognition. But i still think that she does this in reality." Twila said.

"So we can't bring them with us?" Touma asks.

"Yes. They're a part of this world." Twila explained.

"So to Alice, these people are her slaves." Touma said as they heard footsteps from high heel shoes.

"That's right! They're all my fateful slaves!" Shadow Alice said as three more guards came into the room with her. One of the guards was different from the others, while the regular guards had normal grey armor on them, the third knight had gold armor.

"Alice!" Mishima called out.

"I can't believe you three decided to come back after what happened last time." Alice said as the two guards walked up in front of her.

"Guards! Take out the trash!" Alice commanded.

"With pleasure, your highness!" The gold Knight said as his fellow shadows turned into a magical flower person that looks female, while the golden knight turned into an angel in knightly armor.

"Hmph, i can take you guys down!" Touma said as he charged at the flower shadow and tried to attack but it dodged "What!?" Touma asked himself as he then pulled out his gun to kill the second flower shadow but it also dodged the bullets "Oh come on!" Touma complained as the angel attacked Touma with it's sword and sent Touma flying into the wall, with empty crates being the only thing to break the crash.

"Hmph, you shouldn't have underestimated us." The angel shadow said as it reverted back to its gold armor.

"I don't give a damn…!" Touma said as he struggled to get up and the gold knight pointed it's sword at him.

"I'm going to enjoy breaking you." Shadow Alice said as she licked her lips sexually.

"Let my brother go!" Twila yelled out to Shadow Alice.

"Hmm… I guess i can let him go… On one condition." Shadow Alice said as one of the female slaves bent over and let Alice sit on their back "You have to submit to me and do whatever I say." Alice said as Twila decided to make her decision but then heard her brother's voice.

"Are you really going to do this sis!?" Touma asked.

"What do you mean?" Twila asked as Touma struggled to get up.

"Sure, being in a new place means everything you know is not always going to match up. But if you learn to accept change and the pain in your heart, then anything is possible. So don't let Alice control you!" Touma said as Alice rolled her eyes but Twila's eyes widened.

"What a heartwarming speech." Shadow Alice said sarcastically.

"He's right!" Twila said.

"What?" Alice asked.

"If the world says it's wrong to love him as my brother… Then I'll challenge the world itself! And then, I'm going to save this school from your tyranny. After all, you are no Queen. You're just a goddamn selfish bitch!" Twila proclaimed as she heard a feminine voice echoing in her head.

My… How long have I waited to hear those words. The voice said as Twila's eyes changed from red to yellow gold and started to scream while clutching her head The winds of revolution called upon you but you denied the call for you feared the change in your heart, but now that fear is gone and you are now ready to raise the flag of rebellion. Twila then collapsed on the floor screaming in pain If you wish to answer the call now, then do it! I am thou, Thou art i! There is no turning back! The sword of rebellion is your flag henceforth! The voice proclaimed as a gold mask appeared on her face with a red gem at the top of it.

"Hmph, what can you do…? Cower in fear and watch!" The gold knight said as he was about to strike Touma down with his sword.

Twila got up and ripped off the mask with blood covering her face and screamed, being covered in blue flames just like her brother the other day.

Once the blue flames cleared, The silver haired girl was wearing a frilly dark grey dress with dark magenta and light pink layers. Over this is a black and crimson dress with wing-like sleeves and a two-layer skirt, with the longest reaching her feet. This is held by a gold butterfly ornament at the waist. She also wears black platform shoes with a butterfly on the ankle, red tights, black and green cuff like gloves, and a black ribbon on the neck and had turquoise earrings.

Behind her was a female that had long blonde hair tied into a long ponytail and had purple eyes. She wears a purple armored dress with a long leg slit, she's wearing knee high purple socks with silver and purple heeled shoes and an armored mask open around half her face and a purple sheath sword and a large flag with the sigil of the french revolution.

The woman raised her flag and Touma was covered in a green aura for a brief moment "What the-?" Touma asked himself as he felt that his injuries had healed up and his strength had returned "Oh, Now we're talking!" Touma said as he jumped to his sister's side.

Twila looked at Shadow Alice with an angry look on her face "Tch… This one as well?" Shadow Alice asked herself.

"Amazing… Hello, Persona… Now that i have this power, your age of tyranny will finally come to an end! I'm now ready… Come at us!" Twila yelled at the shadows with confidence in her voice.

"Sis… Yeah! Bring it!" Touma yelled.

"You dare stand up to our Queen!?" The gold Knight said as he returned to his Armored Angel form.

"Yes, I do. Lead us to our victory, Jeanne D'arc!" Twila yelled, calling out her Persona's name with a confident smile as she pulled out a rapier.

"So cool!" Mishima called out as he ran to his friends' side and saw how they all battled the shadows.

"Kaito Kuroba!" Touma called out as his mask became a blue flame that summoned Kaito Kuroba to attack the flower shadows and killed them by using Eiha.

"My men! What troublemakers that bother Queen Alice with trifle matters!" The knight said as his sword clashed with Jeanne D'arc's flag pole.

"She's no queen! She's just an arrogant girl who believes she's better than everyone else. My Persona is the sign of my revolution! Let's finish this battle, Jeanne D'arc! Garu!" Twila calls out as Jeanne D'arc summons a gust of green wind that harms the knight and then uses her rapier to stab the shadow.

"Yeah, Checkmate!" Touma said as he pointed the gun and shot at the knightly angel.

"I am… A loyal subject… To the glorious Queen Alice…" The knight said.

"Like I said, she is no queen. She's someone who forces her desires on others who can't fight back." Twila said as the knight dies and fades away in the form of a black dust.

Twila then collapsed to her knees after her Persona had returned to being her mask and was catching her breath "Sis!" Touma said as he helped her stand up with Mishima running up to their side and helped carry Twila.

"Are you okay, Twila-san?" Mishima asked.

"I'll be fine." Twila said as she looked at Shadow Alice with an angry look but then saw Suzui in a provocative, orange bikini with tiger-like patterns on it and wearing high heels and wearing a pair of cat ears and an orange crown on top of her head.

"Suzui…" Mishima said.

"Wait, you know that girl?" Twila asks.

"Yeah, she's on the girl's volleyball team." Mishima explained.

Shadow Alice then puts her hand on Suzui's chin "Hey! Hands off of her, you sick pervert!" Touma yelled out.

"Please, it's my castle. I can do whatever i want here." Shadow Alice said with a sadistic smile.

"Touma-san, we need to get out of here. Use these." Mishima said as he handed Touma some smoke bombs.

"Then let's get out of here!" Touma said as he threw the smoke bombs down and a huge gust of smoke covered the trio and they all went and escaped the room and returned to the real world.

In the real world, the trio was at the station not too far from the school as Yuuki got them all some water. "Here you go." Mishima said as he gave the water bottle to Twila and took it and started to chugged the water down.

"You really were thirsty huh, Sis?" Touma said as he gave out a little laugh.

"Um… My apologies for my rude behavior." Twila said as she bowed to her brother and Mishima.

"You don't have to apologize for anything." Mishima said.

"Yeah sis, You were amazing. If there's one thing Dad can't stop us from doing, is that he can't stop us from being ourselves." Touma said.

Twila sighed and gave a smile to her brother "Your right. He can't stop us from being ourselves. I'm glad you're here with me, brother." Twila said as she smiled at her brother and Mishima.

"Then tomorrow, we should go back." Touma said.

"Yes, I agree. I can defend us now with this power." Twila said.

"Then i'll get something for Twila for tomorrow. For now, I think we all better head home." Mishima said.

"Yes. I think that's a good idea." Touma said as Twila agreed with him and they all went on their respective trains and headed home.

Tuesday; Evening

At the house, Twila dropped her school bag on the couch and was going to make dinner but was stopped by her brother "Brother, what are you doing?" Twila asked as Touma put on an apron.

"I'll make dinner tonight." Touma said as he pulled out the ingredients to make curry and rice.

"That's sweet of you, brother." Twila said as he began to cook.

After 30 minutes of waiting, The curry was done and the twins began to eat the curry and Twila found it very delicious. "This is amazing!" Twila said as Touma smiled and ate it himself.

"I'm glad you like it, sis." Touma said with a smile as the two continued eating their meal.

"Brother?" Twila asked for him.

"Yeah?" Touma asked.

"I want to know, how do you become a normal teenager?" Twila asked.

"I don't know. I guess you have to be yourself." Touma said.

"I see…" Twila said.

"Sis?" Touma asked as he noticed his sister was lost in thought.

"It's nothing. Anyways, now that we've seen Alice's distorted desires, we can most likely get her crimes exposed. Are you with me?" Twila asked.

"Yeah. Always." Touma said as he sensed a new bond coming from his sister and the female's voice returned to his head.

Touma returned to his senses and he and his sister continued chatting throughout dinner.

After a bath, Touma saw his desk had a tool box and began to work on something using various parts such as a steel rope and a hook like harpoon but after seeing it was getting late, he left the desk for now and went to bed.

Touma's eyes open and he once again finds himself in the Velvet Room "Welcome to the Velvet Room." Igor greeted.

"Hello, Igor." Touma greeted back.

"I thought about resuming our previous conversation tonight. That is why I have summoned you. What are your thoughts? Are you becoming accustomed to this place?" Igor asks.

"Yeah. It's starting to grow on me." Touma said.

"Ah, glad to hear it. It seems you have nerves of steel. Your rehabilitation determines if ruin can be stopped. Yet, such a feat cannot be done by you alone." Igor said.

"Yeah, i know." Touma said.

"But today, you entered a partnership with someone close to you who awoke to the same power, haven't you?

"Yeah, i guess. But what about my sister?" Touma asks.

"Involving yourself with others is an important foundation for your recovery. You've done well." Igor said.

"Thanks, i guess?" Touma said with unassurance in his voice.

"That said, I am not advising the formation of superficial relationships. It must not be frivolity, but a ring of those who would, by morals or faith, lend you their strength. In other words, they are bonds with those who have been robbed of their places to belong." Igor explained.

"Huh…" Touma simply said when he looked at Igor.

"The expansion of said ring will, in return, help you mature as well." Igor said as Caroline and Justine turned to Touma.

"Personas are the strength of heart… The stronger the bonds that surround you, the more power your Personas will gain." Justine explained.

"There are countless people in the city who have talents that a weakling like you doesn't. You better rack that noggin of yours and get them on your side. We'll change that into power." Caroline explained as she and Justine turned back to face Igor.

"Indeed. You should be prepared to use even myself, or your ambitions will not come to fruition." Igor said.

"I guess you're right." Touma said.

Igor chuckles a bit "We have a deal then." Igor said as Touma feels that Igor has high expectations for him.

"Now, this conversation's over. Get lost, Inmate!" Caroline said as the bell rang through the Velvet Room and Touma's vision got blurry and then everything fades to black.
