Chapter 2: Sometimes You Have To Lie.
The pups were running around playing to their heart's content.
Chase then noticed Ryder standing at the doors of the Lookout.
"Oh! Hey Ryder!" Skye yipped when she saw Chase suddenly stop. Skye then noticed that Ryder had letters in his hand. "What are those Ryder?" She then questioned.
Ryder was about to answer but paused for a moment. His mind kept going back to the question, should he tell the truth? Or should he try and lie his way out of the questions he might get.
"Ryder?" A soft voice questioned which snapped the boy back into reality.
"What?" He questioned.
"Those letters."
"Huh?"
"Ryder, those letters that are in your hand."
"Oh…" Ryder muttered, he then quickly handed out the letters to the correct pups.
Rocky, the eco pup, quickly read his letter.
"What does it say?" Rubble asked
"We didn't get in…" Rocky replied quietly.
Chase then looked at Ryder. "What about you Ryder sir?" The police pup asked
Ryder froze. He didn't expect to get a question that would make him freeze up. He took a deep breath.
The German shepherd waited patiently.
"I didn't get in too." Ryder finally replied.
