"B-127." The hologram spoke, though its voice was slightly distorted and cutting off at points. "I pray this message finds you—war—survival." As it was saying this, Kairi could feeling something in Bumblebee. Looking over to the bot, she finds he has a worried expression on his face.
"Bumblebee?" Kairi says with concern as she gets closer to him. She touches his shoulder as a sign of comfort, but when she does, she isn't in Destiny Islands anymore. In fact, she feels like she isn't in her own body anymore. Like a dream.
She is taken to a darkened city with the only source of light being the stars and the strange orange flow from below. There is a large tower that looks like it is collapsing. As it does so, Kairi can see someone running on the tower as it collapses, until they finally jump off. She can then see them clearer in the orange light.
Its the robot from the hologram! Before he can fall to the ground, he grabs unto this strange, futuristic, looking jet. As this is happening, Kairi seems to be getting farther from the robot, making it harder to see in detail. The robot crashes the jet into a wall as he leaps off of it, landing safely on the ground. He holds wields looks like a rifle of some kind, aiming it at some other robot, with a more jagged design before firing at it. He swings around to fire at the same robot, but with slightly different colours, before grabbing another from behind and smashing it into the ground.
As the details were getting sketchier, a robot coloured in dark blue with a more box design approached. It was hard to see, but it looked like a cat had come out of the robots chest. Did Sora see anything that weird during his travels? Kairi wondered as she watched the cat pounce on the robot, knocking him to the ground. He punched the cat off of himself and got up. A bunch of the spiky robots from earlier joined the blue one in surrounding the one from the hologram. One of them was different from the group, Kairi thought but he was little more than a blob of purple so she couldn't tell for sure. (1)
She got farther away as she saw them all they charged toward the one in the middle. Then she was back in Destiny Islands as the message had seemingly ended. 'What was that?' Kairi thought as she was left processing all of this.
Was that a memory? Bumblebees memory? Kairi thought. What was that place? Who were those other robots? Was the red and blue robot a friend of Bumblebee? If she was seeing it from Bumblebees perspective, why did it look like he was getting farther way from everything upward lkke he was leaving the world. Never mind, she answered that last one.
She finally looks over to Bumblebee to find him still processing it. Did he see the memory too?
"What was that?" She finally asks, though her voice shaky. "You saw it too, right? The city and that robot from the hologram." Bumblebee is unresponsive, but has his attention on Kairi. "He said something about a war and survival. Are you hiding from something?"
Those spiky robots must have been the opposing side to the red and blue robots faction. Bumblebee could have been part of this war and was in retreat. That, or he was a civilian and trying to escape the conflict, but the symbol on his forehead made this unlikely. It was probably the symbol for his faction. Either way, it was worth finding out, for Bumblebees sake.
"Well... at least we have more of an idea of what we're looking for." Kairi attempts to turn the mood around. Bumblebee gives a slow, half-hearted nod. Seeing nothing else to help, Kairi opens her book to look for a world fitting the description of the one she just saw. The book contained a record of all worlds ever discovered, so hopefully Bumblebees was on that list.
Meanwhile, farther away from the Islands, yet still on the world, two what look like shooting stars land on a patch of shallow water. The red and blue Decepticon, Shatter and Dropkick, stand upright and take in there surroundings.
"So this is Destiny Islands. How very underwhelming." Shatter says.
"So much for Islands. Theres nothing but water here." Dropkick states as he looks around.
"They are here, just else where." Shatter states. "This world is quite primitive, more so than others, so I've scanned multiple vehicles from similar worlds. They to are... primitive, but they will be sufficient in finding the island B-127 is no doubt hiding on."
"So we're just supposed to spend who knows how long searching an entire planet for one island?" Dropkick questions.
"Patience, comrade." Shatter assures. "This world is smaller than most. It will be mere horse before we find B-127." Shatter then transforms into a VTOL jet followed by Dropkick transforming into a BELL AH-1 SuperCobra attack helicopter. The two fly off in search of the islands. (2)
After hours of searching, Kairi let the book slump out of her hands and into the dirt. There were similar worlds to Bumblebees, but they weren't his. Bumblebee sadly looked on as Kairi joined the book, slumping face up into the ground.
"Still nothing. How did Sora do this kind of thing?" She said. Bumblebee looked on as he silently asked 'who is Sora?' Like she was able to hear his thoughts, Kairi answered. "Sora is one of my best friends. He's adventured around many worlds helping and saving as many people as he could all with a goofy smile on his face." Kairi smiled at the memory. "He always looked out for his friends, even if he didn't know them yet. You would have liked him. You two would have been good friends."
Bumblebee looks on intrigued by this Sora person, almost inspired. He couldn't wait to meet him. Wait? Why hadn't he met him. Shouldn't he be here? Bumblebee thought 'Where is he now?' Was the question Bumblebee asked, hoping Kairi would pick it up. After awhile, Kairi sits up against a tree to look at Bumblebee. There, she sees his question.
"We... We had to fight these people, these really bad people. Sora, I, and a few others fought them. But I was too weak. I was so easily captured and then... then..." Kairi stutters trying to explain to him. "The only way I can describe it is I died." Bumblebee looked confused on this, but Kairi ignored this. "Next thing I knew, I was back. It was just Sora and I until he just... faded. Right before my eyes. Apparently he broke some sort of rule of nature or something to bring me back, and he paid the price.
A tear fell from Kairi's eyes as she spoke. "I just... wanted fo help. For as long as I can remember, I just stood on the sidelines as everyone else did everything. So I wanted to help. I wanted to help them fight. So I trained as hard as I could, giving everyday my all. And when I finally had the chance to stand along side everyone else and be useful, but I wasn't. At the end, all I did was inconvenience my friends and because of me, Sora is gone." She was full on crying at this point. "The truth is, I'm not really good at anything. I just thought if I fought along side my friends and actually help them out..." There is silence for a moment. "...but I'm just a liability."
Bumblebee slowly approaches the crying girl and sets his hand on her shoulder in an attempt to comfort her. He couldn't tell if he was doing a good job or not, he's never done this before. At least, he doesn't think he has. With that Kairi launch's up and pulls the bot into a hug. One he gently returns.
(1): This is Shockwave in case you hadn't noticed.
(2): Please tell me I got those vehicles right, I just looked them up on TF wiki
