Chapter 19 Freedom

Its been a couple months since the battle against Set in Egypt. Since then most of Republic city was getting ready for the wedding. Hell the press would bombarded the two with dozens of questions. The most common was: Do you plan to have children immediately or later?

While the two weren't against the idea of children at all they would like to wait at least a year or two.

Currently the two were on Air temple island.

"Come on you can't seriously tell me your gonna wear your armor as your suit." Korra said making Sean chuckle.

"Yes. It's a Spartan tradition to wear the armor and I ain't changing that." Sean said grinning making her roll her eyes in amusement.

"Why do you always wear that armor anyway? I change my clothes every now and then but you always wear the same thing." Korra said making him smile softly.

"My Sister drew this armor in a pottery class." Sean said surprising her. "Here." Sean said summoning a vase that had the exact armor he always wore. You could tell it was old by the smell.

"She made this?" Asami asked impressed.

"Yup. It's my way of honoring my sister by wearing the armor she thought of." Sean said.

"Aw." Korra said touched by that before kissing him. "Fine. I'll be wearing my mother's wedding dress." Korra said making him imagine that of her in that before she bonked him on the head. "Keep that thought out of your head until the big day mister." Korra said amused making him chuckle.

"So I'm gonna assume Asami is your maid of honor." Sean said making said girl grin. "And Ikki and Jinora will clearly be the damn flower girls." Sean said making them cheer. "Although maybe we should take Ikki out so she doesn't do anything stupid." Sean said shocking her while Korra and Asami burst out laughing.

"HEY!" Ikki yelled making Sean laugh.

"I'm just messing with ya." Sean said making her pout.

"So who's your best man?" Asami asked.

"Reznov of course." Sean said making him grin.

"WHAT!" Turok yelled insulted. "I'm your brother! Why not me!" Turok asked.

"Do I need to fucking answer that? You would pull some joke about losing the ring." Sean said making him grumble.

"You guys are assholes." Turok said making them laugh.

"Speaking of brothers." Korra said.

"Deimos will show up. Baldur found him and told him." Sean said.

"Good. Don't want him to be left out." Korra said grinning.

Later

Sean and Korra were outside enjoying the peace and quiet.

"You know...If I knew you would have proposed to me after nine months..." Korra tried to say.

"What?" Sean asked making her grin.

"I probably would have waited a little longer to do the deed." Korra teased making him scoff.

"Somehow I very much doubt that." Sean said making her laugh before kissing him.

"The only issue I have with the wedding is some nobles got invited." Korra said figuring some would try to arrange marriages with any children they had with theirs.

"Oh relax. Some nobodies aren't gonna ruin that day next month." Sean said making her smile at the date while playing with her engagement necklace.

Suddenly however a shadow came over them.

"What the?" Sean tried to say before seeing it was someone charging at them making Sean grab Korra and jumped away as someone landed making a crater.

"Now what?" Korra asked as Sean set her down before they saw some woman in strange armor with bug like legs on her back.

"Hello, Kruger."

"Megaera." Sean said glaring at one of the three Furies.

"Ew." Korra said disgusted by her appearance seeing holes in her chest before little bugs came out making her gag.

"Yeah I know. Not a pretty sight. Of the three furies she's the most disgusting." Sean said making her snarl for that remark. (which she is. Personally I like her sister Tisiphone better you know since she looks the most normal of the three)

"I'll make sure to enjoy every second I spend ruining her." Megaera said as Sean put Korra behind him.

"What are you doing here freak? You and your sisters were warned to stay away." Sean said.

"Oh not going to invite us to the wedding? I'm hurt." Megaera said pissing him off. "It's time for you to return to Ares. Your wasting your potential." Megaera said.

"Piss off. I'm warning you now. Leave now...Or suffer the consequences." Sean said.

"Oh there will be consequences. Starting with her!" Megaera yelled charging at Korra but he punched her away.

"Get the others." Sean said making Korra run off as he approached Megaera before wrapping his chains around her before swinging her around into the ground making her grunt in pain.

"Whats going on out there?" Jinora asked.

"One of the damn furies is after him." Korra said before Reznov and Turok rushed out with the others.

Sean roared as he slammed Megaera down several times making her groan in pain before he dashed at her and grabbed her right arm.

"LET GO!" Megaera roared.

"I got something else in mind!" Sean yelled before tearing it off making her scream in pain.

"MY ARM! YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT MORTAL!" Megaera yelled jumping away.

"I'm only half." Sean said before wrapping a chain around her neck making her gasp in shock before wrapping her in a tree branch making her gasp for air as she hung in the tree.

"LET...GO!" Megaera yelled trying desperately to get free.

"Remember you brought this on yourself." Sean said giving a vicious pull.

CRACK!

"Oooh." Korra said holding her neck having felt that as Megaera went limp before Sean dropped her making him sigh.

"Honestly. She stood no chance. Why come after me like this?" Sean asked confused by her actions.

Only for a spectral bird to attack him making him growl before punching it away.

"Cause now we have reason to capture you." Tisiphone said with her sister Alecto next to her.

"You used her." Korra said disgusted.

"She's always up for a fight. Now it's time for you to return Spartan. Perhaps if you serve your purpose well...You will even end up on Olympus one day besides your master." Alecto said.

"Fuck off! I will never serve Ares again!" Sean yelled making Tisiphone laugh before the area began to change to Sean's old home showing his family.

"Think about it Spartan. All of this could be yours again. Add it with your new one you care about so dear." Alecto said making him glare before seeing his sister making him close his eyes.

"No. It's nothing but an Illusion. I've moved past what I've done and changed. And I won't let you take my new family like you did my old one. Never again." Sean said making her snarl.

"Then Let DEATH be your reality!" Alecto said as a cage made of illusion surrounded him.

"Even you cannot escape this." Tisiphone said laughing before Sean summoned a pair of eyes before slamming them into the cage making her cry out in pain as the illusion vanished.

"The eyes of Truth. Curtesy of your son Orkos." Sean said grinning making Alecto growl before she began to take on a more monsters form.

"Oh no not again." Korra said.

"I am the queen of the Furies!" Alecto roared.

"Not for long." Sean said wrapping his chain around one of her tentacles as she swung him around.

"You know." Reznov trailed off as the others looked to him. "If Kruger does actually kill them his bond to Ares will be completely severed. Ares will have no claim to him anymore and any attempts he makes to make that argument to Zeus will be moot. He'll be free." Reznov said.

"Forever?" Korra asked hopeful.

"Aye. Without the furies the blood oaths in Greece will be severed. Including his." Reznov said making Korra watch the fight hoping Sean would win.

Sean roared before slicing off one of the tentacles making Alecto roar in pain before Tisiphone attacked him with her pet illusion but Sean just punched it away with ease.

"You will return to Ares, Kruger!" Tisiphone yelled before he dived into the water seeing Alecto in her monstrous form before he latched his blade onto her head.

"AHHHHHH!" Alecto roared in pain as she surfaced.

"Ugh. She's even uglier than before." Turok said before Sean slashed her head creating a deep wound making her roar before slapping him back to the land before Sean pulled out the Trident before summoning water serpents to attack her.

Alecto roared before charging at him only to be restrained by the serpents before he jumped at her and slammed the Trident into her wound before it glowed as she roared in agonizing pain before an explosion of light occurred blinding the others.

Sean flew and crashed next to them.

"Ow." Sean said before Korra pulled him up.

"Are you ok?" Korra asked concerned.

"Yeah. I just need to finish this." Sean said rushing back to the beach before jumping down seeing Alecto heavily wounded.

"You shame Sparta, Oath breaker." Alecto said.

"Funny the statue there said differently." Sean said approaching her before Tisiphone attacked him with her bird but Sean using the Eyes of Truth destroyed it making her cry out in pain before he punched her in the face before she turned into the Spartan King during his younger years.

"You are not fit to be called a Spartan." The King said before Sean punched him before Tisiphone turned into his 17 year old self.

"I LOST EVERYTHING BECAUSE OF YOU!" Younger Sean roared only to get punched again before Sean grabbed her by the neck and held her up and quickly turned into his little sister making his eyes widen.

"Oh no." Korra said.

"Big brother. Your hurting me." Calliope said making Sean close his eyes before snarling as he tightened his grip making her smirk before turning into the Village oracle who gave him the mark of his family's blood.

"They were not there by Chance...Kruger."

Sean roared before snapping her neck before dropping her before approaching Alecto who growled.

"You think this will erase your past? Nothing will ever make the people forget what happened! You will always be...A MONSTER!" Alecto said.

"I know. But I am Ares Monster no longer." Sean said before stabbing her in the chest making her roar in pain.

"MARK MY WORDS KRUGER! ARES WILL END YOU!" Alector roared before Sean slashed his blades inside her making her scream in pain as with her death Sean's Oath to Ares and every Oath was now broken. The reign of the Furies was over. Sean was finally Free from Ares.

Sean sighed before looking back at the others seeing Korra smiling at him.

Thats when Orkos appeared next to him.

"I would have not have been strong enough as you were. I would have taken what they offered." Orkos said.

"Hmm. Some people give us the strength we need to reject offers like theirs." Sean said before looking at him. "What about you? What will you do now?" Sean asked.

"I will continue their work but from now on those who break the oaths will be allowed a second chance and be treated fair and justified." Orkos said.

"I believe that is a good path for you." Sean said as he vanished while Sean walked back to the others before Korra pulled him into a hug.

"How do you feel?" Korra asked making him smile.

"Finally Free." Sean said holding her close.

Later

Sean was outside his home on the porch looking at the stars before a flash if lightning appeared next to him.

"You have grown more powerful than ever." Zeus said to his son.

"Hmm. I'm gonna assume some of the gods are angry that the oaths they had are gone now." Sean said since every Blood oath with the gods was broken.

"Irritated is more of the correct term since they knew Ares was responsible for this. Orkos however has pledged his loyalty to ensure when New Oaths are made they will be fair and never walk the same path as Ares made you do." Zeus said

"Mmm. You didn't send me here just to protect Korra did you?" Sean asked.

"No. When Ares tricked you that night and I knew you would never forgive yourself. I consulted with the Sisters of fate asking them if there was a way to repair the damage. And they led me to her. She alone was the only one who could heal the wounds of your past. Love can do many things for anyone." Zeus said making him smile.

"Yeah. Thank you." Sean said before his father vanished.

Walking back inside Sean saw his Fiancé waiting for him in her birthday suit.

"Come here." Korra said as he removed his clothes before joining her in bed holding her close.

"Whats with that look?" Sean asked making her grin.

"I've just simply decided to hold off on any...Intimate celebration until the wedding night. Think of it as testing restraint." Korra teased making him snort.

"Oh sure. You'll crack within the first day." Sean said making her slap his chest making him laugh before holding her close. "I can wait until then." Sean said making her smile as she sat on top of him.

"Are you sure? Can you actually resist this?" Korra asked cupping her breasts to tease him.

"Hey I held out for 300 years. You only held out for 6 months when our relationship started." Sean said making her grin.

"Well then...Get used to seeing me naked around the house for the next month. Still think you can resist?" Korra teased making him laugh before kissing her making her moan before she held his face. "I love you so much." Korra said kissing where his heart was.

"And I love you Korra. Now and forever." Sean said making her smile before sleep claimed them both.

Her love alone healed his wounds and soon she would be his forever.

Authors note: And with that Sean's oath to Ares is severed finally making him a free man along with those who once swore a blood oath to the Gods. Now Next Chapter is the one everyone has been waiting for. Sean and Korra's wedding. This one might take a while since I have never done a wedding chapter ever other than that Earth X Chapter in Rider of the League but that was different. So be patient.
