I take a deep breath and get up from the ground, wincing at the pain between my legs and then I start walking slowly in a random direction.
"Jasper! Emmet! Edward! Carlisle! Alice! Esme! Rosalie! Someone!" I start yelling as I walk through the thick forest. "Alice please just see me!" I yell to the sky but of course, I get no answer. "EDWARD!" I yell higher and just continue walking as I yell for them over and over again, then I hear a branch break to the right of me. "Great, just fucking great! Now I'm going to get eaten by some kind of animal! Why can't my life just be normal?" I yell to the sky and then a wolf steps out of the thickest part of the woods. "Oh great a shapeshifter." I hiss under my breath and the wolf looks surprised at me before he disappears for a second and then a tall man comes out.
"How did you know?" He asks and I sigh.
"I have met several shapeshifters and vampires. What do you want?" I ask tiredly as I let myself sink down to the ground.
"I scented a vampire?" He says questioningly.
"Yeah he was with me and then he left me in the middle of the woods, but if you are smart you leave him be because he can create fire out of nowhere," I say and he looks worriedly at me, slowly taking a step closer. "Stop there, don't get any closer," I say weakly and he stops and scrutinizes me worriedly.
"Do you want help getting back to where you came from?" He asks and I nod a little.
"Can you lead me towards a road? I have no idea what direction I have been walking in." I say and he smiles a little.
"Well, you walked the straight opposite way from any kind of road or civilization except my native American village." He says and I sigh and get up from the ground again. He scrutinizes me again and then he freezes. "You are bleeding." He says as he walks closer to me.
"Yeah, I know. Just lead me in the right direction." I say and he walks a lap around me.
"I don't see any injuries." He states and I sigh.
"He raped me." I mumble and he growls and punches a tree so it cracks in the middle.
"I'm sorry, ma'am." He says and then he closes his eyes and calms his trembling form.
"It's fine, just lead me in the right direction and I don't care if you do it as your wolf or as a human." I say and he nods a little but then he hesitates.
"It would go quicker if I carried you." He says and I sigh, then I nod.
"But in that case, it is as your wolf," I say and he nods and walks into the woods, coming back as a giant white wolf. He lays down beside me and I get up on his back painfully and just cling to him. He gets up carefully and starts running. I try to relax a little but it hurts between my legs for every step he takes. After a few seconds, he slows down and lays down so I can slide off. He nods me in the right direction and I nod to him and walk that way.
"Thank you." I add quietly and he gives me a wolfy grin.
After another few meters, I came out onto the same road Jasper had dropped me off by… not the same place though. I start walking beside the road, humming quietly to try to distract me from the pain, and then I suddenly see a car.
"Please be one of my vampires." I mumble out loud and suddenly the car pulls over and in a flash, I'm gathered in a pair of cold, hard arms. I tense at first but then I inhale and recognize Edward's scent and relax.
"Are you okay? Did he hurt you? What happened? You are bleeding. Where are you bleeding?" He rambles desperately and I just cling to his waist. "Can I carry you?" He whispers and I nod. He gathers me in a bridal carry and carries me back towards the car.
"Do you have any serious injuries, Bella?" Carlisle's calm voice asks me suddenly and I shake my head. I breathe out relieved as the warmth of the car surrounds me and I inhale Edward's scent deeply.
"He raped me so I'm bleeding from that but it isn't that bad." I say quietly and Edward growls and holds me tighter but also seems a little relieved. "I want a warm bath," I whisper and look up at Edward and smile a little to him. "Hopefully with you in it?" I ask and he smiles a little to me and lays his forehead against mine.
"Will you be okay?" He asks and I nod.
"I'll be fine… he said he won't come back for me again since I won't get pregnant." I say and he relaxes a little and kisses me extremely gently. "I love you." I whisper and he smiles.
"I love you too." He says back and then he carries me into the house since Carlisle has driven us there.
"Bella!" Jasper yells further away and I look up to see Emmet holding him tightly. Jasper only looks extremely worried about me though.
"Don't even talk to her." Edward growls and I sigh.
"Edward and Emmet, stop it! I asked Jasper to help me and he did. It's not his fault." I growl and they sigh deeply but relax a little. "Now stop blaming him and let's go inside. It's freezing out here." I say and Edward quickly runs inside with me.
"Did you mean it about the bath?" Edward asks, I nod and cling tighter to him.
"If you come with me." I say and he nods and carries me upstairs to his bathroom. Someone has already filled the tub for us so Edward sets me down gently on my feet. He looks awkwardly at me and I chuckle at him.
"We can keep our underwear on if you want?" I ask and he nods a little relieved. "I'm just going to take a quick shower first." I say to him as I undress and get into the shower, washing the blood and the other vampire's scent of me. When I get out of the shower I put on a pair of underwear that someone has laid out for me, probably Alice, and then I look over to the tub and see Edward laying there with his eyes closed. I walk over to him and slide down slowly into the water and crawl into a ball in his arms as he holds me protectively.
"I'm sorry I didn't let you know," I whisper and he kisses the top of my head and hugs me a little tighter.
"I'm sorry I ever left you and got you into this mess." He whispers and I rub my cheek against his and he purrs a little.
"Mark me with your scent?" I ask and he smiles and starts rubbing his cheek against me, kissing me and licking me, effectively marking me with his scent. "Never leave my side again." I whisper and he nods as he continues marking me.
"I won't let you." He whispers and I relax completely in his embrace and then I slowly drift off into a night of safe and warm sleep.
