Chapter 26 The Guide
Sean slept in his bed trying to rest up before finding his wife. Even still he was having trouble since his worries for her kept him awake.
Suddenly he saw a vision of her and Tenzin's family and his brother being attacked by his oldest foe. Alrik. Alive once more before he grabbed Korra and dragged her away screaming from the beaten family.
Waking up with a gasp he held his face breathing heavily.
"Unalaq you fucker." Sean said getting out of bed before getting his armor on knowing he had to find Korra before Alrik did and harmed Tenzin's family.
"You are not fully recovered." Athena said trying to stop him.
"I just had a vision. Korra's life is in danger and so is Tenzin's family. Alrik is back. No doubt due to Unalaq's doing." Sean said getting his blades on his back.
"I see. Once you save her you must rest. You'll be of no use if your only at half strength." Athena said.
"I don't think I'll be enough." Sean said confusing her.
"What do you mean?" Athena asked.
"This situation is far more dangerous than anything else I've ever faced. Hercules, Magni and Modi, Freya, Set and Amon. This is far more dangerous since the fate of the entire world hangs in the balance." Sean said.
"What are you saying?" Athena asked.
"I think the gods and all of Greece may need to get involved in this. This may be the one time since the great war the Gods of Olympus may need to step in personally." Sean said before grabbing the travel stone and vanished while Athena had a thoughtful look on her face.
Meanwhile
Korra arrived at the Eastern air temple and told Tenzin and his family what had happened since they left.
"So Unalaq has started a civil war?" Tenzin asked.
"Yeah and it's all my fault. And...Theres something else." Korra said looking down.
"Kora? Whats wrong?" Tenzin asked concerned as tears came down her eyes.
"Sean's dead." Korra said shocking them.
"What?" Turok asked in shock.
"We got attacked by a dark spirit and he threw me out the way before it hit him...And he never came back up." Korra cried as she fell to her knees before Tenzin held her.
"Korra, Are you absolutely sure?" Tenzin asked as she cried.
"I looked everywhere. I couldn't find him." Korra said before looking at Turok who had his eyes closed. "I'm sorry Turok." Korra said.
"Korra I am so sorry." Tenzin said holding her as she cried.
"It's all my fault. If I just listened." Korra cried.
Suddenly they all heard cruel laughter making them look and saw Alrik alive shocking Korra and Turok.
"YOU?" Turok asked.
"You know of me do you? I guess your brother told you stories. I've come for the Avatar." Alrik said eying her.
"Get lost." Turok said turning into a wolf before charging at him only to yelp as he slammed his hammer into him making him crash into a wall.
"Turok!" Jinora yelled rushing to him.
Tenzin and Kya tried to hold him back but his brute strength outmatched their bending before slapping them away while Bumi pulled out a knife but the same thing happened to him before he held her in the air by the neck.
"LET...GO!" Korra screamed making him laugh.
"You will come with me. You may as well finish what you started. After that I might give you a quick death so you can see your bastard husband again since you put him in the grave." Alrik mocked making her cry. "Maybe I should just kill you and be done with it. After all your own family will be dead soon enough." Alrik said making her sob.
"Just get it over with. I got nothing left." Korra cried before.
"ALRIK!"
Everyone turned and saw Sean with his blades out glaring at his oldest foe making Korra widen her eyes.
"Sean?" Korra asked as tears escaped her eyes.
"Let her go!" Sean yelled.
"I am going to enjoy this!" Alrik roared throwing her down before charging at him only for Sean to wrap his chains around him before slamming him into a wall before it broke sending him through before Sean followed.
"Uh yeah I don't think he's dead." Bumi said before Kya smacked him in the head. "OW!" Bumi yelled before Korra rushed after him.
Sean roared before slashing Alrik in the chest making him growl before slamming his hammer into him making him crash into a wall and growled holding his side making him laugh.
"Your injured...Good...It'll make things go in my favor this time!" Alrik yelled about to strike when Korra air bent him away.
"GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Korra roared forcing him into a wall before Sean pulled out his chains and wrapped them around his neck making him gag as he was strangled but used his hammer on him again making Sean grunt in pain before growling as he pulled tightly.
Alrik got free before grabbing him and slammed him down before stomping on him making Sean groan in before coughing up some blood before Korra firebent him away making him growl.
"STAY OUT OF MY WAY!" Alrik yelled about to strike her when Sean jumped up and slashed his blades cutting his head off just like the first time making his body fall forward before Sean landed and groaned in pain falling to his knees and coughed up blood before Korra rushed to him and held him as tears of joy ran down her eyes.
"Your alive." Korra cried making him smile holding her close as she cried on his shoulder.
"Shhh. It's ok Korra. I'm not going anywhere." Sean said as she cried holding her husband happy her love was alive.
Later
"So Poseidon took you away after you were injured." Tenzin said as Korra used water bending to heal Sean as the sun went down.
"Yeah. My eyesight is still a little fuzzy but that should pass by tomorrow. Anyway we have big problems." Sean said.
"Yeah I know we still need to reach the fire nation and get those troops." Korra said.
"No. I'm talking about something worse. Theres a reason those spirit portals were sealed. They were sealed by the first Avatar. Avatar Wan." Sean said shocking them.
"Wait how do you know the name of the first Avatar? You said you only knew a dozen of the previous ones." Korra said.
"My father told me. Do you recall about the story I told you about the Great evils after the great war between the Gods and Titans?" Sean asked Korra.
"Yeah I remember that story when I was a little girl. Your father sealed them in Pandora's box." Korra said.
"Apparently that wasn't true. The real truth is he created two powerful spirits using those evils and separated them. One was the Spirit of light and peace and the other darkness and evil. Raava and Vaatu. Wan had set them free when Raava was trying to contain him. Thats when my father and the other gods told him the truth." Sean said.
"So he unintentionally let the greatest evil in the world free." Tenzin said.
"Yes. However he learned the four elements from other mountain lion turtles and Raava helped him master them all. Then on the Day of harmonic convergence he merged with Raava and sealed Vaatu in a tree and made every spirit save a few return to their world. Using his powers he tried to bring the lands into an era of peace. Regretfully he never succeeded." Sean said.
"So...What happened to Raava?" Korra asked.
"She's inside you." Sean said shocking her. "She's how the Avatar Cycle continues. The Gods used the last of the Titan magic to create the cycle." Sean said.
"Wow." Korra said in awe.
"But what does this have to do with Unalaq?" Bumi asked.
"He's trying to free Vaatu." Sean said shocking them. "And become a dark Avatar to bring in a new age of Chaos." Sean said.
"This is all my fault." Korra said looking down.
"Knock that shit off." Sean said shocking her. "No one could have seen this coming. Who would have even believed beforehand there was a dark evil spirit that powerful sealed away for 10,000 years? To anyone else the idea sounds absurd. Having regrets now does nothing." Sean said before groaning as she pinched his ear. "HEY!" Sean yelled.
"You shouldn't talk to your wife that way." Korra said sternly.
"Than stop blaming yourself! God. And I thought I did that a lot." Sean said.
"Well getting help from the fire nation might not work. After all they have they have enough bad history of fighting due to the hundred year war. Getting involved in another that doesn't involve them might make the world think they enjoy it which they don't." Tenzin said.
"And the president is a fucking moron who's more interested in his reputation." Sean said before Korra grinned. "Whats with the Grin?" Sean asked.
"While you were missing he thought you were dead and tried to spread the word thinking people would support his words about you...Not a smart move. Now everyone is turning on him making him look like an ass." Korra said happy about that.
"HMPH! Good. But in any event we need to seal that portal. And theres only one way without going to the South." Sean said.
"How?" Korra asked.
"By sealing it from within. We go to the Spirit world and seal it up again preventing Vaatu's escape as the next convergence occurs. Then we lock him up somewhere even he can't escape." Sean said.
"Where?" Tenzin asked.
"In hel. No one could ever survive there for long. The place is so cold anything living would die in a few hours. Vaatu would never be able to escape and even if somehow he got free he would be forever trapped there without the Bifrost since no one is sane enough to go there willingly. Plus Odin would instal security measures." Sean said.
"It is a sound strategy." Tenzin said making Korra grin kissing her husband.
"Is there anything you can't think of?" Korra asked.
"I had good teachers of my own." Sean said making her smirk.
"For now you need to recover. We'll head into the Spirit world first thing Tomorrow. We still have plenty of time before the convergence." Tenzin said as Korra led Sean inside.
When they came to their room Korra placed him down before resuming her treatment.
"I thought I lost you when you didn't come back up." Korra said before Sean held her face.
"Look at me." Sean said as she looked into his eyes. "I have a reason to live now because of you. I am not leaving you." Sean said making her smile before pulling him into a kiss before Sean laid on his back as she continued to kiss him before she removed his armor and frowned seeing the wounds on his chest from the Dark spirit. "Don't worry. They'll fully heal by morning. Spiritual energy damage lasts longer than regular damage." Sean said kissing her making her moan.
Sitting up she removed her shirt before unclipping her bra letting her breasts free. Thats when Sean used a sound barrier spell to prevent anyone from hearing and locked the door.
"At least this place has locks." Korra said grinning making Sean smirk before she removed her pants showing her new blue thong. "I swear to god if you destroy these again I'm going to kick your ass." Korra said annoyed making him laugh.
"Oh don't act like you didn't enjoy it." Sean said before she removed his last remaining clothes before taking off her thong.
Now both naked Sean held his wife's face before kissing her making her moan as she lined herself up.
"No foreplay today. I really need this." Korra said before thrusting down and whimpered feeling him inside her before she started thrusting down on him while his hands played with her hips making her giggle.
"What brought this on exactly? We just did it a couple days ago." Sean said.

"While you were gone and I thought you were dead...I found out Mako was the one who told Raiko since Bolin told him and he didn't want to put his job on the line. Asami knew too and I felt betrayed they knew and didn't say anything until later. I told them I never wanted to see them again ever." Korra said ashamed before Sean kissed her.
"Korra. You were in pain thinking I was dead. They know that. You can apologize to them when we get back and make things right. When we go through a loss it makes us do and say things we normally never would. I would know." Sean said as she held him tight.
"Thank you." Korra said before sleep claimed them both.
Next morning
Sean woke up with a groan feeling fully recovered before he felt rather pleasant making him look seeing Korra bouncing on him before she saw he was awake and grinned.
"Morning." Korra said making him smile before she yelped when he pulled her down before he was on top of her. "See what I mean? Your always on top." Korra said laughing.
"And you enjoy it." Sean said making her grin before pulling him into a kiss.
However suddenly the door was airbent open by Ikki.
"Come on guys! Daddy's gonna..." Ikki tried to say when she saw them.
Both were completely frozen as Ikki's brain froze trying to process what she was seeing.
"You gotta be fucking kidding me." Sean said as Korra blushed like crazy before she started growling in rage.
"IKKI!" Korra roared.
Ten Minutes later
Korra had an incredibly annoyed look on her face as her eyes twitched glaring at Ikki who didn't even move.
"Ikki?" Turok asked snapping his fingers at her but she didn't move.
"I think you broke her." Kya said.
"I...DON'T...CARE." Korra said royally ticked off.
"I am so sorry you two." Pemma said rubbing her face.
"Ikki?" Jinora said shaking her.
"Why you were two naked? And why was Sean on top of you?" Ikki asked making them freeze before Korra growled while Bumi burst out laughing while Turok snickered wanting to crack a joke but Jinora covered his mouth saying no making him nod.
"I got a better question. WHY DON'T YOU EVER FUCKING KNOCK! THE DOOR WAS CLOSED FOR A REASON AND LOCKED!" Korra roared.
"Calm down." Sean said.
"No I'm not gonna calm down! This is exactly why we left the island because she just barges in!" Korra yelled pissed off they got caught by a little girl in the worst way possible.
Tenzin sighed at this.
"ENOUGH!" Sean said getting them to stop. "Look we can...Talk about this embarrassing situation later. But for now we got a job to do. Getting into the spirit world and closing that damn portal before Vaatu escapes." Sean said making Korra sigh.
"Ok. We can finish this later...IKKI." Korra said glaring at her making her gulp.
Soon Tenzin was trying to help both Sean and Korra get into the Spirit world.
"Have you actually been to the spirit world before?" Korra asked her husband making him stop.
"Uh...Once...Athena put me in a special drug induced state to help calm my mind after I..." Sean trailed off.
"After you what?" Korra asked concerned.
"Go ahead. You told me, Reznov and Julia. You might as well tell her." Turok said making him sigh.
"After I tried to kill myself." Sean said shocking her.
"WHAT!" Korra yelled.
"Hey. Incase your forgetting I didn't exactly have an easy time forgiving myself for what Ares made me do. You can't seriously stand there and tell you didn't expect me to try back then once or twice." Sean said making her look away seeing his point. "Korra I was at a very low point in my life after killing Calliope and my family. Athena helped me put some ease on myself by entering the spirit world. I spent three days there for a time calming down. When I came back I began my training with her." Sean said before she held his face.
"You should have told me." Korra said concerned before he held her hands.
"It's in the past now and Now I have a reason to live. Because of you." Sean said kissing her as she held him.
"If we're gonna do this we need to do this now." Tenzin said.
Soon all three were in a meditation stance with Ikki and Meelo trying to help them out with some instruments.
However.
"You two in the spirit world yet? Cause I sure as hell ain't." Sean said annoyed.
"Nope." Korra said equally annoyed.
"I would be if Meelo would ring his bell at the appropriate intervals." Tenzin said.
"Aww, Did I do it wrong?" Meelo asked.
"Let's try something else." Tenzin said leaving.
"I thought your bell ringing was just fine." Korra said making Sean smile holding her close.
"Your gonna be a good mother when the time comes." Sean said making her grin at that thought. (No she's not pregnant yet incase people are getting that idea)
Once again they tried somewhere else using some special ritual with smoke.
"This is ridicules." Sean said kicking the sticks away. "At this point I'm thinking of asking for Athena's drug to get us there." Sean said.
"Kya you set it up all wrong." Tenzin said.
"Hey I did exactly what you said." Kya said offended.
"Now the moment is ruined." Tenzin said walking away.
"ARGH!" Sean said annoyed before Korra held his hands.
"Calm down we'll get there soon." Korra said as they left.
However Turok and Kya saw Jinora looking out at the distance.
"Uh Jinora? What are you looking at?" Turok asked.
"Nothing." Jinora said running off.
Both looked at each other raising an eyebrow.
Now the three were in a temple.
"Focus, you two." Tenzin said.
"We are." Sean said.
"No talking." Tenzin said.
"Then shut the hell up." Sean said getting annoyed.
"Feel the energy of the universe." Tenzin said.
"Okay, I feel it." Korra said.
"Korra, Really! I'm trying to concentrate here!" Tenzin said shocking her as he stood up. "I don't think this location is going to work either." Tenzin said frustrated.
"The hell is with you? First you blamed Meelo then Kya and now Me." Korra said.
"Well, nothing is feeling right to me." Tenzin said.
"Look I know we still have plenty of time but the sooner we get this done the better we can prepare to move Vaatu to the realm of Hel. Now how did you get into the Spirit world the first time?" Sean asked.
"Well...Actually, I've never been into the spirit world." Tenzin said shocking the hell out of the two as the others who listened in appeared also shocked as hell.
"YOU of all people have never been to the spirit world?" Sean asked in complete disbelief.
"But you used to spend days in the temple meditating." Pema said.
"Trying to get in...It never happened. It's my greatest shortcoming as an Airbender, spiritual leader, and son of Aang." Tenzin said as Bumi laughed.
"Welcome to the I disappoint Dad club." Bumi said.
"If you've never been to the spirit world, how are you planning to get Korra and Sean there?" Kya asked.
"I've spent years studying the techniques and theories of ancient spiritual leaders. Now that the Avatar needs me, It must be my time." Tenzin said.
"Tenzin the convergence is weeks away. We don't have much time." Sean said.
"I know. But you must trust me." Tenzin said.
"Uh there might be another way." Turok said gaining their attention as he looked to Jinora.
"Jinora, is there something you'd like to tell them?" Kya asked.
"Jinora? She is too young and untrained to have any knowledge about spiritual matters." Tenzin said.
"Actually, I think I do know where they need to go to get into the spirit world." Jinora said.
"Oh? And how would you know that?" Sean asked curious.
"My spirit friends showed me." Jinora said before bunny spirits with dragonfly wings appeared.
"Whoa." Turok said impressed making Sean chuckle.
"She's a book worm knows multiple languages and has a powerful connection to spirits. Little brother you got good tastes." Sean teased making him freeze while Korra giggled.
"I hate both of you." Turok said making them laugh.
"I'm curious. How long have you been able to do this?" Sean asked.
"I don't know. I guess I've always kind of had a connection with spirits." Jinora said as a blue one laid on Bumi making him laugh.
"I think this one likes me." Bumi said.
"Are they here to help?" Korra asked.
"I think they want you go down there." Jinora said as they went somewhere.
"I don't know. The Spiritual energy is historically strongest near the temple." Tenzin said.
"No offense, but I'm guessing the spirits have actually been to the spirit world, So we're gonna follow them." Korra said.
"If we need to go to the Tenzin world, we'll call you." Bumi teased making him frown before Sean saw two rock boards that looked like surf boards making Sean smirk.
"Lets go down with some fun." Sean said picking Korra up.

"What are you...WHOA!" Korra yelled as he jumped on the board making it come out of the ground and slide down the slope making Korra laugh as they followed the spirts.
"HEY!" Turok yelled before looking at Jinora. "Care to follow suit?" Turok asked making her smile before she jumped on his back and he did the same.
"Wait!" Tenzin yelled but they were gone. "Ugh." Tenzin said rubbing his forehead while Pema smiled.
"Ah young love. Although Sean and Turok aren't really young anymore I guess." Pema said but still giggled.
"WHOO-HOO!" Korra laughed as Sean surfed down the hill following the spirits.
"Having fun?" Sean asked.
"This reminds me of when you took me penguin sledding with Katara!" Korra laughed.
"HEY!" Turok yelled catching up to them.
"Wanna race little brother?" Sean asked.
"Loser buys a big ass lunch!" Turok yelled coming to a rock before flying up.
"WHOA!" Jinora yelled as Turok did some flips before landing perfectly.
"SHOW OFF!" Korra yelled. "Do something better!" Korra yelled excited making him grin.
"Hang on honey!" Sean yelled coming to a ramp before flying in the air and did a few barrel rolls making Korra laugh before landing in front of them. "In your face!" Sean yelled.
"Ok thats it. Air bend us!" Turok yelled getting Jinora to do just that making them go faster.
"HEY! Thats cheating!" Korra yelled.
"I'M STILL WINNING FUCKERS!" Turok yelled making her growl annoyed.
"Not for long!" Sean yelled going into a tunnel before circling in it before they came out the other side in front of them.
"OH NO FAIR!" Turok yelled making Korra blow a raspberry before they saw where the Spirits were at.
"SEE YOU AT THE BOTTOM MOTHER FUCKERS!" Sean yelled jumping to the spot before landing perfectly.
"WHOO-HOO!" Korra cheered as they won.

"Oh that was bullshit! You two took a shortcut." Turok yelled as they arrived.
"Oh and it's fair for you to use airbending? Jinora?" Korra asked amused making her smile sheepishly.
"Ok thats fair." Jinora said before the others arrived on Spyro.
"Hey check out these rocks. They have airbending carvings on them." Sean said.
"This is an ancient airbender meditation circle." Tenzin said.
"There's a lot of spiritual energy in this place, but it feels really strange." Jinora said.
"We'll have to perform a spiritual cleansing ceremony." Tenzin said.
"What are you talking about?" Bumi asked.
"Dad taught it to me. This site has been neglected for many years. A cleansing ceremony will help strengthen its connection to the spirit world." Tenzin said.
Tenzin got started on the ritual before the spirits left.
"Sean?" Korra said gaining his attention. "I know this is ancient history but...How did you try to kill yourself?" Korra asked concerned making him sigh before showing his wrests showing cut wounds before she touched them.
"Korra I was not in the best position all those years ago. Like how you acted towards Mako and Asami when you thought I was dead I was in great pain. Athena found me and healed the wounds. Put me in a drug induced coma to enter the spirit world to help me calm my mind. It helped...Somewhat. But the visions and the nightmares were almost too much to bare. I learned to live with the nightmares after a few years but the visions came and went at random times." Sean said.
"When did they stop?" Korra asked.
"When we started dating." Sean said holding her face making her let out a small smile as she held his face before leaning into his chest.
"You know...Before we met I always thought I could do anything by myself...Now I can't imagine my life without you in it to help me when I need it the most." Korra said making him smile.
"I feel the same about you. I will always be here for you." Sean said before the ground shook. "Oh boy." Sean said before Dark spirits rushed out. "Of course." Sean said annoyed.
"AH! BATS!" Bumi yelled.
"Not bats! Dark Spirits!" Korra yelled before she started using waterbending to do what Unalaq taught her before calming them down and the vines and moss covering the area vanished purifying the area.
"Impressive." Sean said.
"Unalaq is an asshole but his spirit powers are no joke. I just wish I didn't have to learn this from him since he used me." Korra said looking down before Sean lifted her chin up.
"Korra like I told you. No Avatar...No person is perfect. I'm the least perfect because of my past. We learn from our mistakes though and thats all that matters." Sean said making her smile before kissing him.
Sometime later during the night Tenzin was trying to enter the spirit world before Bumi started poking him.
"You in the spirit world yet?" Bumi asked making him annoyed.
"No...NOW STOP BUGGING ME!" Tenzin yelled throwing the stick away.
"Ok thats it. Jinora is gonna lead us into the spirit world since I've had enough. I need to get back to Asgard and tell Odin my plan to trap Vaatu in Hel but first I have to make sure that fucking portal is sealed and your slowing us down!" Sean said annoyed.
"Sean calm down." Korra said.
"No I'm not gonna calm down. The fate of the world is in the balance and he won't admit he can't do it because of his fucking pride!" Sean yelled.
"Calm down." Korra said making him let out a breath.
"He's right." Tenzin said making them look at him. "Perhaps I will never have the connection to the spirits like my father always wanted me to have." Tenzin said admitting he couldn't do it.
"Sometimes some people are meant for certain things in life and not meant for other things. It's a natural part of existence." Turok said.
Soon Jinora was helping both Sean and Korra enter the spirit world.
Thats when they finally arrived.
"The spirit world. It's beautiful." Korra said.
"Hmm. It's been a long time." Sean said holding Korra close.
Meanwhile
"Alrik has failed. The demon's brother most likely stopped him. Without her we cannot open the other portal. I have failed you." Unalaq said to Vaatu.
"Don't be so sure. The Avatar has just entered the spirit world." Vaatu said shocking him.
"How do you know?" Unalaq said.
"Even though my connection to Raava was severed I can still feel her presence." Vaatu said. "But this Demon you said would pose the greatest threat is also here." Vaatu said.
"I'll take care of him." Unalaq said.
"See to it that you do. If he's as powerful as you say...The gods will be the least of our concerns." Vaatu said.
Authors Note: I got side tracked yesterday with this one hence why It wasn't updated yesterday morning. Anyway next Chapter we travel through the spirit world with seeing some familiar faces both from the previous series and from Sean's past. What will happen? Find out next Chapter.
