Terminator: Dark Fate. (DONE RIGHT!)
Chapter 5: Plan of attack, battle in the sky.
Note: Sorry for the long delay. But, between the pandemic, and family business, I've been really busy.
Also, I did some editing on the previous chapters.
So, I would advise you to go back and read them before you read this one.
Otherwise, you won't understand.
Here we go!
The very next morning, after John and Karen's lovemaking, everyone gathered in the backyard of the cabin to discuss how they could stop the REV-9.
After a long conversation, John came to the conclusion that they needed to seek out and acquire a military-grade EMP, or electromagnetic pulse from one of Sarah's old acquaintances.
The group left the cabin.
Karen, Grace, Dani, and Diego climbed into the jeep.
Uncle Bob got on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
John Connor got on his own motorcycle.
Once all 3 vehicles were started up, John drove past them all and took the lead.
Karen moved forward next while Uncle Bob followed last.
After a 3-hour drive, they arrived at a military base and drove into a large warehouse.
As everyone left their vehicles, another car pulled up next to them and a man wearing a uniform got out.
John said out loud, "Stay put."
Then, he walked over to the man and said, "Always good to see you, Major."
The Major replied happily, "Same here. You've been busy, haven't you John?"
John answered, "Just surviving, Major. Just surviving. Did you bring what I requested?"
The Major pulled a briefcase out of his car, walked over, and handed it to John while saying, "Yes, John. You saved my life. If anybody asks, you didn't get these from me."
John nodded.
Karen asked, "What's the range of these EMP's against a glass-floor hardened target?"
The Major asked, "Bodyguard?"
John replied, "My Aunt Karen. She works as a technician for the Defense Department."
Grace asked, "Major, what kind of kilos fly out of Bingham?"
The Major said, "Blackhawks and Chinooks. Why?"
BEEP BEEP! BEEP BEEP!
Diego asked, "What's that?"
John turned around with a full-alert look on his face, "Dammit! He's found us!"
Outside the warehouse...
The REV-9, flying in a helicopter, tracked the group to the warehouse.
It busted through the glass bubble window and started shooting.
The gunfire alerted the others.
John Connor pulled out his MRA weapon, switched it to rifle mode, yelled at the others to take cover, and began firing back.
Uncle Bob raised an AK-47 and began firing alongside John.
Seeing that the REV-9 was closing in, Bob urged john to join the others.
As the REV-9 jumped out of the chopper and ran into the warehouse, John jumped into a van with the others and shouted, "Go! Now!"
Grace gunned the engine and shoved the van in gear.
Bob engaged the REV-9 in combat and was able to stall it for a little bit before he was forever disabled.
John and the others managed to escape the warehouse, only to find out that the endo-skeleton of the REV-9 was piloting the chopper!
Karen activated her plasma arm cannon and fired, causing an explosion that temporarily disabled the chopper.
The Major directed them to head towards the airfield.
When they drove past a line of soldiers, Dani asked, "Can't those soldiers help us?!"
John answered, "They'll be able to slow it down, but they can't kill it!"
Karen noticed something and said, "An MC-5!"
John and Grace turned to look.
To their left was a large troop carrier plane with a rear drop hatch.
John turned to Grace and asked, "Can you fly that thing?"
Grace replied, "Of course."
When they reached the plane, the Major ordered all the crew members back to the barracks.
Grace ran to the cockpit and started the engines.
As they began racing down the runway, the REV-9, still following in the chopper, raised a machine gun and started firing.
John turned to the Ramos siblings and shouted, "Take cover!"
As the twins raced toward the front of the plane, John pulled out his MRA weapon, switched it to rifle mode, and began firing back.
Karen, armed with an AK-47 assault rifle, joined him.
As the plane took off, Karen and John finally managed to blow up the chopper.
But it proved futile as the REV-9 was completely unscathed.
Lightly, almost easily, it leaped up and grabbed onto the rear cargo hatch!
The REV-9 climbed up into the cargo hold.
It tried to charge at Dani, but John intercepted, shoved the cyborg down to the floor and fired his rifle at the cyborgs head until it's metal skull was exposed.
Karen shouted, "I'm out!"
Diego tossed her his shotgun.
The REV-9 rolled over on top of John, transformed it's left arm into a stabbing spike and was about to impale John!
Thankfully, Karen fired the shotgun just in time.
With the REV-9 temporarily disrupted by the shotgun blasts, John took advantage of that by grabbing the enemy cyborg by it's leg and slamming down on the hatch.
Before the cyborg could even move, John lunged forward and the two tumbled down over the edge.
It ended with the REV-9 holding on to the edge and John dangling from it's back.
Dani and Diego pushed the van they had driven earlier towards the open hatch.
"John! Look out!" screamed Diego.
John saw what was happening, reached up, fired his grappling hook, and reeled himself out of the way, just in time.
The van rolled back and fell out of the plane, taking the REV-9 with it.
As the group flew onwards, Grace revealed that not only were Dani and John married in the future, but they were also her rescuers.
Shockingly, Karen took DNA samples which revealed that Grace was actually John's younger sister!
That was because they both were born of the same man, Kyle Reese.
John couldn't believe it, "We were family and I never knew!"
Grace tenderly rubbed John's face and said timidly, "My... My brother?"
No words needed to be said as the two hugged each other!
However, the reunion was short-lived as the REV-9 highjacked a KC-10 Extender plane and used it to damage their plane before jumping on board.
With the hull breached, they were in danger of being sucked out and falling to their deaths.
John and Grace managed to shove the Ramos twins to safety in a Humvee stored in the cargo hold, opened the rear hatch, and activated the parachutes on the vehicles roof
Because of that, all 4 landed safely in a river that was near a hydro-power plant.
Karen managed to subdue the REV-9 and jumped out as well.
As the plane crashed into the woods beyond the river, the REV-9 was unable to escape in time.
Just before the Humvee landed in the river, John's group managed to jump out of the car and swim to safety.
John was thankful when Karen landed right next to them.
The only question was, what would it take to end this battle?
End of chapter 5!
Sorry it took so long.
I understand how eager you guys are.
But don't worry.
Next chapter will have what you've all been waiting for.
The ultimate battle of the Terminators.
TX vs. REV-9!
See you next time.
Peace out!
