Chapter 33 Rebirth
Its been a few days since Raiko's little stunt on the bridge since he earned the mark of the Damned on his neck making him back off from both Sean and Korra hoping to appease Zeus for his actions.
And of course since Zaheer escaped with his new found powers and went looking for his group to find the Avatar.
Right now on Air temple island Korra and the others watched as Asami arrived with a luxury Airship before it landed.
"Did someone order a fully-equipped future industries airship?" Asami asked making them chuckle.
"It's perfect. Thanks, Asami." Korra said as Sean held her.
"I figured if we're going to Ba Sing Se to search for airbenders, we should do it in style. Plus it has a medical room and team incase you end up going into labor early so there won't be any complications." Asami said making her smile holding her pregnant stomach.
"Thanks." Korra said grateful.
"Yay! Airship!" Meelo yelled.
"I wanna see." Ikki said as the two rushed inside making the older members chuckle in amusement.
"Pema and I will hold down the fort." Kya said holding her youngest nephew. (Since he's almost two now theres no real need to do the throwing up bit)
"Where are Reznov and Julia?" Mako asked.
"Those two are in their lands gathering the Airbenders they can find and bring them here. The other gods are sending their children to do the same all over the world. They know how important the air nation is and want to help rebuild it as a hand of peace and friendship." Sean said.
"The world is truly changing for the better." Tenzin said.
"Aye." Mimir said on Sean's side which the others just now noticed.
"Mimir? When did you get there?" Korra asked.
"Just this morning. Odin felt it was best I help you lot out in this adventure. And of course...Took my head off my body...Again." Mimir said making everyone laugh.
"It's not our fault your so damn slow." Sean said.
"Once we find more airbenders we can all head to the Northern Airtemple then." Tenzin said.
"Hey! How come Jinora gets to go with you but we don't! That is so not fair!" Ikki said annoyed.
"Yeah what she said!" Meelo said.
"Because if Airbenders show up here, they will need some guidance from you two." Kya said.
"Oh." They said looking excited.
"I think you created monsters." Mimir said worried making them laugh.
Soon enough the group was in the airship and took off.
On top Naga had her tongue out as the wind blew by while Oogi did the same.
"You two are unbelievable." Spyro said taking a nap.
Down below Sean pulled out a map.
"As of now there are the towns in the Earth Kingdom we've gotten reports about airbenders. We can hit up most of them as we make our way to Ba Sing Se." Sean said.
"We're going to bring the air nation back from the brink of extinction." Korra said excited.
"But we're not gonna force them. Odds are some of these people have their own lives and are happy and may not wish to become part of the air nation." Sean said.
"Honey your killing the good mood." Korra said grinning making him chuckle.
"Sorry but you know I'm right. Even if some don't want to join odds are we'll have more than enough to rebuild the air nation in time." Sean said.
"He's got a point." Mimir said.
"Thats all I wish to see." Tenzin said. "And with the entire world now filled with benders I believe that will happen." Tenzin said.
Meanwhile
On a remote prison in the middle of the ocean was the White Lotus once more who guarded one of Zaheer's allies. Ghazan.
The whole prison was made of wood to prevent him from using his element from escaping.
Suddenly a speed boat appeared.
"Finally, our shift change is here."
When the boat docked they quickly noticed that there was only one member.
"Hey, where are the other guards?"
Thats when they saw who it was.
"ZAHEER!"
Zaheer quickly used his airbending to attack them.
"Hmm?" Ghazan said trying to see.
Zaheer attacked the White lotus with ease. (Again these fuckers are major league push overs compared to the old members during the hundred year war)
Thats when he three some large rocks into the cage making Ghazan smirk before using his earth bending to turn them into lava before busting out and attacked the remaining members with ease.
Thats when they got into an armlock.
"It's nice to see you again, Ghazan." Zaheer said.
"Thanks for busting me out. Where'd you pick up the new skills?" Gahzan asked.
"I have Harmonic Convergence to thank for that. I was given a gift. I believe it's a sign that our path is a righteous one." Zaheer said.
"And what about Kruger? He's not gonna let us get to the Avatar." Ghazan said.
"Kruger is not just her protector anymore. He's her husband and they are expecting. Which makes our mission easier if the Avatar cannot fight or risk losing the baby." Zaheer said.
Later
"In my head I saw that playing out very differently." Korra said as they were back on the airship after failing to pick up their first Airbender.
"I told you not everyone would be so willing to come along. Some of these people are just content with their lives and they should be. Either way eventually at least half of the new airbenders will show up from the rest of the world and fill up the temples again." Sean said holding her close.
"Maybe we should try harder to convince them to join us." Asami said.
"Or we could've throwing him into a potato sack and forced him into the ship." Bolin said.
"Thats how they got me to join the united forces." Bumi said playing with his spirit.
"No, Sean's right we can't coerce people or throw them into potato sacks." Tenzin said.
"Maybe we should just wait until we get to Ba Sin Se. I don't think most of these people are gonna join and shouldn't waste time on them. Most of these people live in remote places." Turok said.
"I think he's got a point. Besides theres only one airbender in each location. Ba Sing Se is said to have a couple dozen. So maybe we should just head there and skip all these other areas." Jinora said making Tenzin said.
"I suppose so." Tenzin said. (Why bother when most of these people said no?)
After that talk Sean and Korra were in their room with their hands on her pregnant stomach as Korra smiled.
"You ok?" Sean asked.
"Yeah...I just thought people would be more excited to be an airbender. I mean I remember how excited I was when I found out I was the Avatar." Korra said making him chuckle.
"Oh yes you were bouncing on the walls." Sean said making her slap his shoulder with a laugh.
"I was not bouncing." Korra said giggling before he kissed her neck making her moan as she held him close. "I'm still amazed. 15 years later since we first met...Married and now three kids on the way. Funny how life turns out." Korra said smiling making him grin holding her close.
"Yeah. I once thought nothing would ever make me forget the terrible things I did. And yet because of you I am no longer constantly by my past actions. The nightmares and the visions are finally gone. I have a reason to live. For you...And them." Sean said holding her stomach making her smile before they laid down to go to sleep.
Turok was on the top deck in his wolf form sleeping before he felt danger and opened his eyes looking before yelping in pain.
"Hmm!" Sean said having heard that.
"That sounded like Turok." Korra said concerned before he rushed up.
Reaching the top Sean found Naga, Oogi and Spyro out cold before looking to his brother who was bleeding and rushed to him.
"You ok?" Sean asked.
"ICARUS!" Turok yelled before someone attacked Sean from behind.
"GET OFF ME YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" Sean yelled as the others rushed up before seeing a man with wings on Sean's back trying to stab him.
"YOU'LL PAY DEMON OF SPARTA!"
"ARGH!" Sean roared before throwing him into the wall before Sean got a better look.
"Icarus?" Sean said.
"Thats who I just said Dumbass!" Turok yelled as Jinora rushed to him to stop the bleeding. Even though he was immortal and unable to die it still hurt.
"Yeah but I'm still surprised." Sean said looking at the man with wings.
"Wait a minute. I thought Icarus was a kid's story you told me about him flying to close to the sun and melted his wings." Korra said remembering the story he told her a week after they met.
"Yeah...That was the story." Mimir said.
"IT WAS YOUR FAULT! YOU KILLED ME!" Icarus yelled.
"How? I had nothing to do with that." Sean said before he flew at him before forcing them to the rails.
"ARES TOLD ME! YOU KILLED ME!" Icarus yelled insanely.
"GET OFF!" Sean yelled before they went over the rails.
"OH MY!" Mimir yelled as they went over.
"Sean!" Korra yelled as they rushed to the rails.
Sean growled as he fought Icarus trying to get him off.
"YOU STUPID FUCK HEAD!" Sean yelled punching him in the face several times.
"I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE AND ASK THE SISTERS TO CHANGE MY FATE!" Icarus yelled.
"I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT YOU MORON!" Sean yelled before grabbing his wings. Unlike his prevous wings these were not made of Wax.
"NO NOT AGAIN!" Icarus yelled before Sean pulled them off making him scream in terror.
"SEE YA!" Sean yelled using his wings to fly up while Icarus screamed before he hit the ground dying again.
Flying back up to the airship Sean landed in front of Korra who sighed in relief.
"Are you trying to add stress to me?" Korra asked.
"Hey! That was not my fault! Ares did that not me. Though he could have chosen better. But..." Sean trailed off showing his new tool. "I got a cool prize." Sean said making her shake her head in amusement.
"What am I going to do with you?" Korra asked as Naga walked up to her and licked her making her giggle before holding her close.
"Oh using the same bullshit on me that I did to you when you were bouncing on the walls!" Sean yelled making her giggle. "In all seriousness if Ares is sending flunkies like him after me must mean he's running out of powerful players. Theseus and I are finally on Good terms and everyone else is dead. The only ones he could send now are those who have a slim chance of beating me." Sean said.
"Mmm True. Anyway I'm beat. Lets go to bed." Korra said as they all went back to bed.
"Here." Sean said tossing Mimir to Asami making her yelp in shock before tossing him to Jinora.
"Hello little sister." Mimir said making her smile.
Meanwhile
Another prison of the White Lotus was on an inactive Volcano.
And who was the one who was imprisoned? None other than Ming-Hua who Sean took the arms off of so many years ago.
No doubt she held a grudge against him for that.
"We're under attack!"
"Hmm?" Ming-Hue said looking up seeing the White Lotus being attacked by Zaheer and Ghazan before the later threw a barrel in the air before Zaheer sliced it open letting out water before she used it to make water arms and escaped before attacking the remaining White Lotus.
"Never thought I'd be happy to see your ugly mugs again." Ming-Hua said.
"Great to see you too, Ming-Hua." Ghazan said.
"I'm flattered, you busted me out before that girlfriend of yours." Ming-Hua said.
"We're getting her next. And then we're going after the Avatar." Zaheer said.
"What about Kruger. I want payback for what he did for taking my arms 15 years ago." Ming-Hua said looking at her water arms.
"As it happens Kruger is no longer her protector but her husband now. And they are expecting." Zaheer said.
"Perfect." Ming-Hua said grinning.
Meanwhile
Sean and Korra slowly woke up before Korra yawned as she stretched about to get up when Sean pulled her down making her giggle before kissing her husband as he held her.
"Five more minutes." Sean said making her giggle.
"Come on. We got one stop before we get to Ba Sing Se." Korra said making him sigh before getting up.
Korra of course stopped in front of a mirror before looking in her mirror seeing her large stomach.
"Hmm. Do I look Fat to you?" Korra asked making him laugh.
"Oh please not this question. It's just the pregnancy you'll be back to your old in shape self when they get out. And even if it doesn't go away...I did sign up for better or for worse." Sean said making her laugh before kissing him lovingly.
"You are so sweet." Korra said.
"HEY GUYS!" Turok yelled making them get dressed before coming out seeing the others talking to some boy.
"Who's this?" Sean asked attaching Mimir to his side again.
"This is Kai. He's an airbender and he's joining us." Tenzin said.
"Nice to meet you kid." Korra said.
"Are you the Avatar?" Kai asked.
"Mmhmm." Korra said holding her stomach.
"We should probably get going. Kai says he's on the run from Outlaws." Bolin said.
"Wait what?" Sean asked before hearing motorcycles making them look outside seeing a group of men. "Who the hell are they?" Sean asked.
"Release the boy or we'll take him by force."
"The Outlaws...They're after me." Kai said making Sean narrow his eyes before he went outside.
"This should be interesting." Mimir said.
Turok however noticed something In Kai's sack.
"If you think I'm gonna let you harm an innocent boy you got another thing coming." Sean said with his blades out.
"Is that what he told you? I'm the sherif around her." The Sharif said showing his badge making Sean blink. "That kid is a thief. We've been after him for six months."
"And here's why." Turok said coming out dragging him outside before throwing his bag down showing gold.
"You lied to us." Sean said.
"It's not what you think." Kai tried to say.
"You were gonna put my friends, my wife and my unborn children in harms way." Sean said angered.
"Look...I admit...I did steal that stuff but I swear I would never put anyone in danger like that. The person who stole that stuff is the old me. I don't know how to explain it but once I became an airbender I changed." Kai said making him frown before the police dragged him away.
"What are you gonna do with him?" Sean asked.
"Send him to prison." The Sharif said making Sean look towards his wife looking at her pregnant stomach before sighing.
"Wait." Sean said stopping them. "You have the gold...Leave him with us." Sean said surprising Kai. "I believe everyone deserves a second chance." Sean said making the Sharif nod before releasing Kai who ran to Sean and hugged him making him smile.
"Why'd you do it?" Kai asked.
"Do you know who I am?" Sean asked.
"Yeah...Everyone knows who you are." Kai said.
"If I could change from a murdering monster to what I am now...You can change as well. Everyone deserves a second chance." Sean said leading him on the airship again before Korra kissed him.
"You really are gonna be a good father." Korra said making him smile.
"I have to be a good example now don't I?" Sean asked making her smile as she held him.
"A good parent does lead by example." Mimir said making them grin.
"I think your soft." Turok said before Sean punched his head off right into Jinora's hands. "What did I do?" Turok asked confused making her giggle.
"There is nothing wrong with being soft." Sean said walking away as Jinora put his head back on.
"I swear." Turok said.
"Maybe you really should think before you speak." Jinora said.
"I was just giving my opinion." Turok said as they took off.
Meanwhile
Three people stood in the prison that held Ming-Hua.
The first was a member of the White Lotus.
The second was Baldur.
And finally the last was Fire Lord Zuko who despite his age looked in good shape.
"They came out of nowhere. I'm so sorry, Lord Zuko and Lord Baldur."
"How the hell did you idiots let this happen?" Baldur asked.
"We were prepared to deal with her without question. However Zaheer and Ghazan arrived and freed her...And something else. Zaheer is an Airbender now."
"No! This can't be. Do you have any idea the power these criminals possess?" Zuko questioned.
"Sean sent letters to all of us during his time protecting Korra. Said three of them had extraordinary talents that he did not anticipate. Because of that he actually got pretty wounded but still took them down regardless even though he held back by 90%." Baldur said.
"Individually, they could take down any bender. Put them together, they could take down the entire world as a whole. And Now Zaheer is an airbender?" Zuko asked.
"Don't you think your over exaggerating?" Baldur asked.
"No...I'm not. They nearly took Kruger down even though he held back greatly. No other mortals have come close to that. I've read the stories." Zuko said.
"Ok I see your point. Where are they going?" Baldur asked.
"To the Northern Water Tribe." Zuko said.
"I'll shall notify the northern Chiefs at once." The white Lotus member said.
"Notify Chief Beifong as well. Though I doubt they'll get past Kruger we must be prepared. In her current condition the Avatar is an easy target." Zuko said as he and Baldur went to their dragons before flying away.
Authors Note: I know not very exciting but next Chapter will be more exciting and full of action and some surprises. And yes Baldur is involved and so will another from God of War. As for Icarus.
