So, this is my first post on FanFiction. Feel free to critique my work and I'll take that into consideration when I write Part 1. This was also posted on the r/arknights subreddit. So, here goes.
Prologue
Staff Canteen, Site-17, [REDACTED]
12:23 A.M
"So, Steve, what dimension did you jump in this time?" asked a 19-year-old girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. The man in question shook his head and replied "Imagine taking LSD and weed at the same time...urggh...don't wanna talk about it," Neither of them were quite 'normal', nor the facility they were in. Even though the bustle and chatter of the canteen might seem ordinary, it's not.
Take for instance the pizza the girl and the man were eating. Simple pepperoni and cheese. Nothing special. Except it came out of a pizza box that can generate any kind of pizza with any edible toppings. And the organization they are 'contained' in? Its 'unofficial' motto is "Secure. Contain. Protect." The SCP Foundation.
The girl, whose official designation is SCP-105 but rather be called Iris; has the ability to manipulate objects through photos, preferably those taken with her blue Polaroid camera which she loves dearly. The man, SCP-507 but can be called by Steve, Houdini or Grabnok The Destroyer; can jump to alternate dimensions albeit unwillingly, but he's prepared. A powerful flashlight, a special revolver that shoots rubber bullets (the Foundation would be stupid if they gave him a real gun), an old quartz wristwatch, a durable camera and binoculars. He also has a tracking device implanted in his body so the Foundation can find him wherever he shows up.
But back to the two friends. It's been a week since Steve had made the "jump" so they were allowed to interact and 'touch' each other (Steve has a 'cool down' period of two weeks). Iris in particular had been given back possession of her camera due to three years of unprecedented cooperation. It was slung on her neck and ready to be used in an instant. They were both under the watchful eye of Junior Agent Yeven Lu, a wiry and tough ex-Marine who is both loyal to the Foundation and surprisingly ethical.
12:30 A.M
Steve and Iris finished their lunch and stood up to see what they could help with. J.A Lu quickly chomped down his burrito and followed them. "Hello Dr. King, how's life treating you?" Iris asked a grizzled bald man with square glasses. "Bah! Was having a friendly video chat with Site Director Rights when spam filled my screen. Guess what? FUCKING APPLE SEEDS!" he replied in an angry and sobbing voice. Agent Lu chuckled softly and remarked to the duo, "I know I'm breaking protocol here but I still can't believe that we have a statue that breaks your neck if you look away, a invincible 'lizard' and a man cursed with 'apple seed everywhere syndrome'. Like, how worse can this get?"
But on the next corner of the hallway they were walking on, a prank prepared by the immature but brilliant Dr. Bright was waiting. The Foundation recently contained invisible banana peels made by Dr. Wondertainment, an anomalous toy company. Contrary to other 'toys' from the company, it was relatively harmless apart from the fact that it had caused countless deaths from people banging their heads. Dr. Bright "borrowed" some to help "lighten the mood and stymie the seriousness of the Foundation" and now they waited for the unlucky victims to come.
But Iris was a smart woman. As soon as she saw the tell-tale glint of a large ruby embedded in the amulet worn by the janitor mopping the floor, she bumped Steve in the forearm. Steve looked at her and got the hint. Together they slowed down and let Agent Lu overtake them.
Yeven Lu was, to be honest, frightened of the SCP Foundation. A shadowy organization with an endless financial base and some of the most ruthless soldiers on the world containing 'anomalies' that could spell the end of the world? Nightmare fuel. When he was offered a job at the Foundation after getting honorably discharged, he was at first skeptical. But he missed the thrill of combat even though it ate at him; the camaraderie between peers even though their ghosts still haunt him. All those thoughts stopped when he slipped on thin air and fell on his ass.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" he exclaimed as the janitor burst out laughing. Iris looked at Dr. Bright in a unamused expression, said "Very funny, Dr. Bright. Very funny." and went to help J.A Lu. Steve grabbed Lu's hand and Iris his other hand. Dr. Bright was still laughing as he turned around "Now, I got yo...oh dear. I'm so screwed..."
The trio was gone. Disappeared.

"Wait a fucking minute! Where in God's name are we?!" Lu retorted as he, Iris and Steve were suddenly in a grassy meadow, not the gray walls of Site-17. Steve was incredulous and Iris was dumbstruck. "You supposed to be in cool-down! How come you can reality-shift now!" "I don't know, man! This has never happened!" Steve replied. "Oh God, I'm so sorry, guys!" Iris comforted him by saying "It's alright. Like you said, you would only shift after two weeks had passed. Seems like whatever that asshole Dr. Bright used to slip Lu seem to have affected your timings." Lu quickly composed himself and stood up to look around. He quickly noticed a large, crystalline structure that was black in color and stood at a good 100 feet in the air. For some reason he thought that it was best to not go near it. Thank God he was still in site security gear, especially the M16A3 and Glock 17. He glanced at his watch:

He wondered what shitshow was happening back in their world...
End of Prologue
So, this is the end. I am fascinated by both the lore of the SCP-verse and Arknights. I did some research so that my writings seem plausible. Again, you can criticize or suggest improvement in my writings.
Do look out for Part 1!
