Chapter 39 Long Live The Queen

Sean and Asami were being escorted to an airship to return to Ba Sing Se.

"LET ME OUT! You fuckers don't know what your doing!" Sean yelled trying to get free but his restraints were locked tight to prevent him from moving to build any momentum.

"Sorry Kruger but we have orders." The Captain said making him growl.

"AHHH! Where's Mako and Bolin when you need them?" Sean asked before he was locked to the wall to prevent him from moving.

"Do I have to be chained to the floor the whole way? It's going to be so uncomfortable." Asami said making Sean raise an eyebrow.

"Sorry miss I'm under orders."

"Can't you just chain me to the railing?" Asami asked.

"Well, as long as you're chained up, I guess it doesn't make a difference."

Asami was chained to the railing before he left.

"I had hoped Mako and Bolin would show up to save us at the last minute before we took off. What happened to them?" Sean asked.

"They stayed behind to fight two members of the Red Lotus as you called them. The Lava bender and water arm lady." Asami said.

"Their names are Ghazan and Ming-Hua. And trust me those two are more dangerous than anything they ever faced." Sean said.

Meanwhile

Zaheer and the Red Lotus were driving in a truck to Ba Sing Se with Mako and Bolin tied up.

"If you think holding us hostage will give you some leverage against Sean, you're gonna be disappointed." Mako said.

"Can't we just enjoy our time together in silence?" Ming-Hua asked annoyed.

"So you guys were, like, locked up for 15 years? That must have been, like, crazy boring." Bolin said.

"It felt more like 30. No idea why Kruger let us live for so long unlike the others he killed 15 years ago." Ghazan said.

"Others?" Mako asked.

"There were 25 of us in all but he spared the four of us for some reason." Ming-Hua said.

"He wanted to know if Unalaq was involved. He knew right away it was his plan to kidnap Korra." Zaheer said.

"Oh." Ghazan said.

"So, what did you do with all that time? Did you sing songs, work on crafts?" Bolin asked. (Seriously?)

"Do I look like I can use crafts?" Ming-Hua asked annoyed looking at her severed arms.

"What happened to your arms?" Bolin asked making her look furious.

"Oh boy." Ghazan said backing away.

"Uh oh." P'li said making Zaheer sigh.

"You had to ask." Zaheer said knowing what was coming.

"KRUGER RIPPED THEM THE FUCK OFF THATS WHAT HAPPENED!" Ming-Hua roared in his face making him whimper.

"Can't say I'm surprised. He did the same thing to Magni and Modi when they showed up." Mako said to himself.

"I must have renamed the constellations about a thousand times. When it rained, that was a big event." Ghazan said.

"I would have killed for some rain." Ming-Hua said. "Mostly I just made up stories about the guards. Who was having trouble with his girlfriend? Which one secretly wished he became a pastry chef." Ming-Hua said.

"Ooh, Okay, that sounds like fun. Let me try that on you guys." Bolin said before looking at Ghazan. "You were raised by an older Sister. Your mustache grew in when you were ten. And I'm sensing...Just sensing...An unspoken attraction between you two." Bolin said making him and Ming-Hua look at each other.

"Two out of three. Not Bad." Ghazan said. (Hahahaha. I actually laughed when this happened)

"Bolin, will you stop making friends with the bad guys?" Mako asked.

"Sorry." Bolin said.

"Ghazan, gag those two. We're almost there." Zaheer said as they drove to Ba Sing Se.

Meanwhile

Sean growled as he tried to get free. He couldn't even use his magic since he couldn't move a muscle and didn't want to risk blowing up the airship with Asami in it.

"We have to find a way off this prison before that bitch has us." Sean said.

"Don't worry. I have a plan. These airships that cabbage corp sold to the Earth Kingdom are way cheaper than the ones future industries built." Asami said placing her feet on the wall before pulling and the railing came off before she jumped up to put her arms in front of her.

"Oh so thats why you wanted to be put there. Not bad." Sean said impressed as she approached him.

"Theres no way I can get these locks off. I need the keys." Asami said before making a hatch to climb out. "Give me five minutes, then start yelling for help." Asami said going on.

"No wonder Mako loves her so much." Sean said impressed.

Meanwhile

"When is the demon scheduled for Delivery?" The Earth Queen asked Gun.

"The Airship already left Fort Bosco and should be arriving in a few hours." Gun said.

"Excellent. Send him to the Dai Li at once when he arrives. We'll warp his mind into serving me. Then we'll invade Republic city and reclaim what is rightfully mine and then the four nations and then the entire world." The Queen said pleased by this.

"Yes, your majesty. But first there are some people here who captured the Demon's friends. They would like to present them to you personally." Gun said.

"You know I don't meet with bounty hunters." The Queen said.

"And of course I told them that, But they say they have some information that might interest you about the location of the Avatar and how to find her." Gun said.

"Really? Fine, send them in." The Queen said.

Soon Mako and Bolin were thrown down in front of her.

"Ah, yes. I remember these two. We'll find an acceptable home for you in prison with the rest of the dissidents." The Queen said before facing Zaheer. "Now I'm told you have some information for me. I hope this isn't just some ruse to try to increase your bounty." The Queen said.

"We don't want any bounty, your majesty. You can consider these two a thank-you gift for simply taking the time to talk to us." Zaheer said.

"How very magnanimous. So Where is the Avatar who's carrying my property?" The Queen questioned.

"I'd be happy to tell you once you hand the Demon over to me." Zaheer said.

"Who told you we have the Demon?" The Queen demanded.

"How I know is not important. But if I found out, the others will too. And that could put you in a difficult position." Zaheer said.

"Is that so?" The Queen asked.

"You know Kruger has allies all over the world. Once they learn you have him they'll send their armies against yours. Even you can't stand against the entire world like that." Zaheer said making her frown when she thought about that. "But if you let me take him today, No one need ever know he was here, And you can get your future weapons without the interference of their father. Why settle for one when you can have three?" Zaheer asked.

"Hmm...I need time to consider this. Gun...Escort them to the Antechamber while I think on my answer." The Queen said getting him to do that. "Send these two to the dungeon!" The Queen yelled as the Dai Li took Mako and Bolin away.

Meanwhile

"HEY FUCKHEAD!" Sean yelled gaining the Guard's attention as he looked inside seeing him but failed to see Asami.

"Where is she?"

Only to get knocked out from behind by Asami who smirked before grabbing the keys.

Sean growled as he was set free before taking off the mask.

"Nice work. Now lets take control of this ship." Sean said.

The Captain sat back while the Pilot took them to Ba Sing Se.

Thats when Sean toor down the door before the pilot tried to attack but Sean kicked him back into the wheel.

"Uh oh." Asami said seeing them lose control.

"Mayday! Mayday! The Demon has escaped! We're going down in Quadrant four." The Captain said as the Pilot tried again before Sean threw him into the Captain before Asami rushed to the controls.

"I think you might have been a little overaggressive. The controls are busted and so is the radio." Asami said.

"Not my fault this thing is shit. BRACE!" Sean yelled as they crashed.

The two made it out of the airship up top.

"Well, they say any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. But given our location, I'm not so sure about that." Asami said before the crew came out.

"You guys ok?" Sean asked.

"Like you care."

"Do you even know why the Queen is after me? She wants to kidnap my wife who's pregnant with triplets and turn them into living weapons to conquer the world." Sean said shocking them. "The only thing in her way is me." Sean said before facing Asami. "You think we could fix this thing?" Sean asked.

"Maybe. If you can straighten out the propellers perfectly and if the Engine isn't in bad shape. The only real problem is getting out of the sand." Asami said.

Meanwhile

Lin was in a jeep looking for Sean and the others before she found some tracks.

Soon she found their jeep and Aiwei's.

When she went to inspect the later's jeep Naga jumped out at her making her yell as Naga roared before seeing it was her before licking her.

"First you scare the life out of me, now you want to lick me." Lin said before she did it again as Pabu appeared from the Jeep and jumped on Lin before she grabbed him and put him on Naga before giving them treats. "Here. chew on this, and leave me alone." Lin said before getting the radio. "Reznov, you read me?" Lin asked.

"Yeah I hear ya." Reznov said.

"I found Sean's jeep, but they aren't here. Meet me at the misty palms Oasis." Lin said.

"You two sure it's a good idea to have me outside Suyin's estate?" Korra asked concerned.

"I trust my sister but after what happened with Aiwei I think it's best we keep you moving until Sean comes back." Lin said.

"She's got a point." Theseus said.

"I wasn't talking to you." Korra said annoyed.

"Drop it already. Kruger gave him a second chance." Reznov said.

"Because he's more forgiving then I am when it comes to people like him." Korra said.

"She's not wrong." Baldur said.

"Yup." Julia said.

Meanwhile

Sean grunted as he bent the propellers in the right position before jumping down and used the Wings of Icarus to blow the sand away.

"And Icarus never thought these wings could be used for so much more than mere flying." Sean said amused before seeing Asami fix the flaps. "How we doing?" Sean asked.

"Well, she's still pretty banged up, but I think she might be able to limp out of the desert." Asami said before one of the crew members went inside to start her up.

"Once we get this bird in the air we're heading back to the city so I can tell Korra what I found." Sean said.

"Zaheer really tried to recruit you?" Asami asked.

"Aye. He figured he could make some compromise with me to work with them to kill every nation and government leader. I went down a similar path long ago when I served Ares. It brought nothing but Chaos and death. I will not go down that path again." Sean said as the airship started working. "Now lets..." Sean tried to say before some Sand Shark monster came up and ate it before flying up in the air and left.

The crew-mate was still alive though.

"What the hell was that?" Asami asked.

"Sand Shark is my best guess." Sean said. (Fun fact there is a movie called Sand Sharks that have a shark as big as that thing)

"Well, now what?"

"Uh the best I can come up with is a sand glider. I can use the wings of Icarus to blow into the sails." Sean said.

"It's our best option." Asami said before Sean began to use whatever he could to make it.

Meanwhile

Zaheer and the others waited patiently for the Queen before one of her agents rushed past them.

"He's in a hurry." Ghazan said making Zaheer frown before following him using his airbending to get up on the rafters to listen in on the conversation.

"Your majesty, we received a distress signal from the airship carrying the prisoners. We believe the ship crashed in the Si Wong desert and the Demon may have escaped." The Agent said making her growl.

"This is outrageous! Send another airship to retrieve the Demon immediately." The Queen said making Zaheer narrow his eyes before going back to the others and told them what happened.

"What are we going to do now?" Ming-Hua asked.

"Theres no way we can track him down in the desert before the Queen gets to him. And Kruger probably already escaped." Ghazan said.

"It doesn't matter. We're gonna do what we should have the second we got here." Zaheer said.

The Queen was growling that her men failed to deliver Kruger like she told them.

"Worthless Lot. I'll make sure they are publicly executed for failing their queen." The Queen said before the doors were blown down by Zaheer. "What is this Riffraff doing in my throne room unannounced?"

"Apologies, your majesty, But I couldn't help overhearing that Kruger won't be joining us today." Zaheer said.

"The Demon is still in my custody. However, eavesdropping on royal conversations will land you in a cell right next to those boys you brought in. Now, if you value your freedom, You'll tell me where the Avatar is so I can have my future weapons." The Queen said.

"Being honest? We were never really going to tell you where she is since I abhor the idea of turning innocent children from birth into living weapons." Zaheer said.

"AAAAAH! KILL THEM!" The Queen thundered before her agents attacked them.

That didn't work out so well as her men were down in seconds. (HA! It does me good to see the Dai Li get their asses handed to them so quickly)

And Gun ran away in fear.

"GUN! Get back here and lay down your life for your queen, you coward!" The Queen roared hiding behind her chair. (Look who's talking)

"He's the smart one." Zaheer said making her glare.

"You wouldn't dare attack a queen!" The Queen yelled before he jumped on her throne chair.

"Maybe I forgot to mention something to you. I don't believe in queens." Zaheer said before she gasped as the air was being forced out of her lungs. "You think freedom is something you can give or take on a whim, but to your people, freedom is just as essential as air." Zaheer said as the oxygen in her lungs began to leave her. "And without it, there is no life. There is only...Darkness." Zaheer said as she dropped dead. (This is the one thing we all approved of him doing period)

Minutes later

Zaheer, P'li and Ming-Hua arrived at the radio station.

"Hey, you can't be in here."

"No need for alarm. I just need to make an announcement to the entire city. How do I do that?" Zaheer asked.

"Who do you think you are?"

Ming-Hua grabbed him by the throat.

"He's the man who just took down the Earth Queen. You wanna be next?" Ming-Hua threatened.

"Ming-Hua, please. We're here to help citizens like him, not hurt them." Zaheer said calming her down. "Now, can you help me?" Zaheer asked making him nod before setting everything up.

"Attention, citizens of Ba Sing Se. I have an important announcement to make. Moments ago, the Earth Queen was brought down at the hands of revolutionaries, including myself. I'm not going to tell you my name, Cause my identity's not important. I'm not here to take over the Earth Kingdom. I think you've had enough of leaders telling you what to do. It's time for you to find your own path. No longer will you be oppressed by tyrants. From. now on you are free." Zaheer said.

Ghazan was outside the walls that held back the inner ring before he lava bent it down before the people came rushing in to do what they pleased.

Zaheer made his way to the cells before opening all but one. The one that held Mako and Bolin.

"I'm going to let you two go. But I want you to tell Kruger something for me." Zaheer said making Mako narrow his eyes.

Later

Sean and Asami and the crew arrived back at the Oasis before getting off.

"I hate the desert." Sean said shaking off the sand from his armor before Naga pushed him down and licked him making him laugh. "Easy girl. Did you miss me." Sean said.

"She's not the only one." Korra said above him.

"Korra? What the hell are you doing here?" Sean asked in alarm standing up.

"Relax. I got protection with me. Look." Korra said pointing inside seeing dozens of Spartans and Asgardians in the place.

"Huh. Ok I feel better knowing they are watching you." Sean said making her grin.

"Hey Kruger." Reznov said approaching him with the others.

"What the hell are you all doing here?" Sean asked.

"Once we heard Zaheer came after Korra we decided the best way to protect her was together." Tenzin said.

"You remember Fire Lord Zuko right?" Korra asked showing the previous fire lord.

"I met you when Korra was a very young Girl. It's nice to see you again Kruger." Zuko said shaking his hand.

"Oh yeah we also saw you at the reception and the funeral." Sean said. (I forgot to put him in the wedding chapter)

"Did you hear about the Earth queen?" Tonraq asked.

"The fuck do I care about that bitch? She tried kidnap Korra to get the triplets." Sean said annoyed.

"Sean...She's dead." Korra said surprising him.

"Let me guess. Her subjects turned on her." Sean said mockingly.

"No...It was Zaheer." Tenzin said making him glare.

"Him and the fucking red Lotus." Sean said.

"Red Lotus? Whats that?" Korra asked.

"The group Zaheer leads. His goal is to take down nations and governments to establish freedom. And my guess is he sees you as an obstacle." Sean said making her hold her stomach.

"Not anymore she isn't." Mako said walking in with Bolin and their family they saved before things got really bad in Ba Sing Se.

"What does that mean?" Lin asked.

"He's not after Korra anymore. He's after him." Mako said looking at Sean who narrowed his eyes.

"Sean? Why?" Korra asked concerned holding her husband.

"Because he knows he won't get close to you as along as I'm in the way. How do you know this?" Sean asked.

"He told us. He also wanted us to tell you this. He's letting you spend time with Korra and the Triplets after their born before coming after you." Mako said making him glare.

"He's got some nerve making a threat like that." Sean said. "But as long as his attention isn't on Korra anymore...I can live with that. Whats one more enemy who's after me." Sean said having faced plenty in the past and always won.

"Lets just get back to the Estate." Korra said making him nod before they all left.

"But what about Ba Sing Se?" Mako asked.

"Theres nothing we can do as long as Zaheer and the Red Lotus are on the loose." Sean said.

Meanwhile

The Red lotus stood before Ares once more.

"So you have finally decided to take my offer?" Ares asked.

"Yes...But not just yet. I'm allowing Kruger to spend time with his children after their born. Out of respect for all his good deeds." Zaheer said.

"HMPH! Those deeds would not have been possible without my training...But very well. When you are ready contact me again." Ares said vanishing.

"Why not just go after him now and be done with it?" Ming-Hua asked wanting some payback.

"I still don't trust Ares. My instincts tell me he's up to something. He wouldn't offer his help unless he got something out of it. After all when Sean served him he got more followers who worshiped him out of fear because of the terrible deeds he performed. Everything he does has a secret agenda to it." Zaheer said.

"I can't argue with that." P'li said.

"So we wait until after the Avatar gives birth and let them have their time together before we move in. He at least deserves to spend time with his children." Zaheer said.
