Chapter 41 The Ultimatum
Its been 2 weeks since Korra gave birth and she was enjoying every second with her kids as was their father.
Tenzin and the other airbenders went back to the air-temple along with Turok.
And of course Bolin was sad Opal was gone again.
"You are just so cute. Yes you are." Korra teased her oldest who laughed as he squirmed under his mother as she tickled him.
"Oh boy." Sean said holding his daughter who laughed at the display.
"If he's anything like his father when he gets older I'll have to airbend the girls away from him." Korra laughed making Sean chuckle.
"I'm more worried about when Katara gets older." Sean said looking at his daughter who laughed.
"Oh please." Korra said placing Junior in his crib next to Atreus who was sound asleep before Sean placed Katara in the other.
"Now all we have to do is find and capture Zaheer and we can go home." Korra said smiling at her husband.
"Baldur is searching for him right now. He'll find them soon enough." Sean said not knowing that Ares was masking their location.
While the babies slept Korra was getting back into shape incase Zaheer tried anything. She had lost all the fat from her pregnancy and her form was nearly back to what is once used to be.
Sean of course made sure she didn't push herself too far since she still needed time to fully recover.
"Ok thats enough." Sean said as she stopped.
"I'm starting to feel like my old self again." Korra said flexing her arm making him chuckle before kissing her as she held his face.
"You okay?" Sean asked.
"Yeah I...I'm just wondering when Zaheer is gonna come after you. He said he was gonna give you time. He never said how long though." Korra said looking into the room where the children slept peacefully.
"Korra." Sean said holding her close kissing her head. "I've beaten him before. I held back the first time. I didn't hold back the second and I have no intentions of holding back when I see him again." Sean said as she faced him.
"I know...I just want this to be over so we can go home." Korra said holding him close.
"We will. I promise." Sean said.
Thats when a Spartan rushed to them.
"My lord. Zaheer is on the radio. He wishes to speak to you."
Sean narrowed his eyes at that.
Arriving at the radio tower Sean picked it up.
"Zaheer?" Sean asked.
"I certainly hope you enjoyed the time I've given you to spend with your children. But now time is up." Zaheer said.
"Two weeks? Thats all your giving them? Not exactly much." Sean said.
"I know the longer I wait the more chance your friend Baldur has of finding me. Now time is up. Your gonna give yourself up to me and the Red Lotus." Zaheer said making him scoff.
"You must be joking. Why in the hell would I ever do that? You got nothing but empty threats." Sean said.
"Hows this for a threat. If you don't surrender yourself I will wipe out the new Air nation." Zaheer said making him glare.
"You wouldn't dare. That would go against everything you stand for. You would be exactly like the leaders you despise." Sean said.
"Desperate times call for desperate measures. And I know you can't get there with the travel stone. It's damaged from the fight against the titans." Zaheer said making Sean look at the stone seeing it cracked.
"I don't know how you know about that." Sean said.
"How I know is of no concern. By the time you reach the temple it'll be too late." Zaheer said before everything went quiet making Sean growl.
"He could be bluffing." Tonraq said.
"Considering the fact that he took out the queen I don't think he bluffs." Mako said.
"Sean...You can't just turn yourself in. We could try to make it there." Korra said.
"Your not going anywhere period. Your still recovering." Lin said.
"She's right. Load up all the troops into the airships. Julia you'll stay here incase they come after Korra." Sean said.
"Of course." Julia said.
Theseus was getting all the troops into all the airships.
"Sean?" Korra said gaining his attention. "Promise me you'll be careful." Korra said making him smile before kissing her.
"I will. I have something real special to come back to." Sean said before taking off his sister's necklace and put it on her. "And I'll be coming back for that." Sean said making her smile before kissing him again.
"I love you." Korra said as she pressed her forehead against his.
"I love you too. I'll be back before you know it and then we can finally go home." Sean said before he got on the airship and left.
Meanwhile
Zaheer and the Red Lotus Had captured the Airbenders who were now sitting down.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet a true airbending master." Zaheer said to Tenzin.
"What is it you want from us?" Tenzin asked.
"Nothing at all. In fact, if everyone cooperates, you will all walk out of this situation unharmed." Zaheer said.
"I doubt that. What are you up to Zaheer? Why are you here?" Turok asked holding Jinora.
"I want your brother, and I know going after him directly like at the metal clan isn't going to work. So now he'll come to me on my terms." Zaheer said.
"You're using us as leverage?" Tenzin asked.
"Yes." Zaheer said as Tenzin stood up.
"I will never let you get to Sean or Korra. You would rob their children of a father before they even know him?" Tenzin asked angered by this.
"It's nothing personal. Even back then I respected him for what he was doing. And I respect him for walking away from the Dark Path Ares set him down. But as long as he lives we will never be able to achieve our goals." Zaheer said.
"So you plan to kill both him and Korra?" Tenzin asked.
"No...Just him. She is nowhere near as much a danger and would most likely spend her remaining days protecting her children from us. Which makes her less of a threat. I have no intention of making orphans." Zaheer said.
"I will not let you get to him so you may rob the triplets of their father." Tenzin said.
"Unfortunately, you don't have a choice." Zaheer said.
"Yes, I do." Tenzin said before airbending them into the walls. "Jinora, Get everyone out of here! Bumi, Kya, Turok, Help me hodl them off!" Tenzin yelled before avoiding an explosion from P'li who was on an airship. "And stay out of here line of sight. Go. GO!" Tenzin yelled getting her to lead them away.
Turok growled before turning into a Lion and roared at Zaheer before pouncing at him but he quickly dodged.
"I had heard your also from a foreign land with the ability to connect to nature. Lets see how strong it is." Zaheer said making him snarl before jumping at him.
Jinora led the new air-benders to the bison but got pinned down by P'li.
"ARGH! We'll never get to them as long as she has a line of sight on us." Jinora said as Kai frowned.
Turok roared as he turned into a wolf trying to slash Zaheer but he kept dodging before Tenzin tried to airbend him but he jumped up.
"GET BACK HERE!" Turok roared jumping up after him before turning into a large Komodo Dragon and tried to bite him.
Zaheer kept dodging them before Turok turned into a giant snake and tried to bit him to posion him but he airbended him into a wall making him hiss in pain before turning into a rhino and charged at him but he dodged but Turok quickly turned into an ape and grabbed him before throwing him into a wall.
"I'm impressed. Your connection to nature rivals that of someone connected to the spirit world." Zaheer said.
"When you have a brother like mine you have a good teacher!" Turok yelled before turning into a cheetah and charged at him with quick speed.
Kya and Bumi fought off against Ming-Hua and Ghazan and both were having trouble.
Kya quickly used her water bending to throw Ming-Hua out making her scream as she flew off the temple making Kya sigh only to see the water mover and she appeared again with six water arms.
"Oh hell." Kya said.
Bumi was using his new airbending to dodge most of Ghazan's attacks before jumping on him and pulled his hair making him yell before Bumi bit him making him yell out in shock before throwing him off.
"How does Kruger deal with this on a weekly basis?" Bumi asked.
The others were still pinned down by P'li.
"I can't wait any longer." Kai said grabbing a staff.
"Wait, what are you doing?" Jinora asked.
"Whatever I can." Kai said before running off. "Get to the Bison! Get out of here!" Kai said before flying up to P'li to distract her.
As the others ran to the Bison Kai airbended P'li making her miss her shot.
Growling in anger she used her combustion bending and hit him.
"KAI!" Jinora yelled as he went down before P'li scared off the Bison leaving them stranded.
Turok roared as he turned into an Ox before charging at him but he dodged as he hit the wall before turning into a Kangaroo before jumping up and kicked him away.
"AHH!" Zaheer yelled holding his chest.
"Your a dead man!" Turok yelled before getting hit by P'li making him yell in shock as he turned human before Zaheer airbent him into a wall knocking him out cold.
"Nothing personal Turok. But your brother is in the way." Zaheer said.
Tenzin himself was on his last legs as he was attacked from all sides.
"Give up. It's over." Zaheer said.
"As long as I'm breathing, it's not over." Tenzin said before trying to strike them again but they attacked him.
Meanwhile
Sean looked out the window narrowing his eyes.
"You okay?" Tonraq said placing a hand on his shoulder.
"No. I should have killed them when I had the chance. I knew your brother was involved and I was right. Now because of my mistake the new airbenders are at risk." Sean said.
"Can't focus on what could have been kid. All that matters is here and now." Baldur said making him nod.
"Once we get there we'll load off all the troops and storm the temple." Thesus said.
"We can't risk that. Zaheer will use the airbenders as hostages. We're trying to save them and take out Zaheer not lose the other." Tonraq said.
"Theres only one way we can guarantee their safety. I have to surrender to him. It's the only way to insure no one gets harmed." Sean said.
"Come on! Theres gotta be something we can do without doing that bullshit!" Reznov said.
"There isn't. I know there are still plenty of Airbenders out there yet to be discovered in the world...But I'm not gonna just sacrifice the ones he has for my sake. I would never do that." Sean said leaving to head to the Radio room.
"Tonraq, talk some sense into him." Reznov said.
"I don't think we have any other choice." Tonraq said making him sigh in annoyance.
Sean went to the Radio and grabbed it.
"Zaheer? I know your there." Sean said.
"I knew you would call back eventually. So do we have a deal?" Zaheer asked.
"Yes. You release the airbenders, and then I'll turn myself over." Sean said.
"And take away the only leverage I have? No. I can't do that. Listen carefully. Here's what I want you to do." Zaheer said.
Bolin was pacing around like crazy.
"Will you sit down? I'm already tense enough as it is!" Mako said.
"I'm just worried about Opal. And Pabu's not here to comfort me." Bolin said before Sean came back out.
"Did you speak to Zaheer?" Tonraq asked.
"Yes. He told me to come to the top of Laghima's peak at noon...Alone. Once he has me, hell release the airbenders and my brother over to you at the temple." Sean said.
"I think I figured out a way to play this so the airbenders and Sean all come out in one piece." Suyin said.
"Go on." Theseus said.
"Zaheer doesn't know how many of us there are. So we have the numbers advantage. I say we split into two teams. Mako, Bolin, and Reznov will take one airship up to the temple. Meanwhile the rest of us will get into position below Laghima's peak.
Soon they were under the mountain as Sean strapped a radio on him.
"Radio the second you see those airbenders." Lin said.
"Got it." Reznov said before walking to Sean. "Kruger this is a dumb idea." Reznov said.
"Tell me something I don't know. But I'm not gonna risk their lives just to save my own. I could never look at my kids knowing I sacrificed innocent lives for my sake." Sean said.
Reznov and the others departed while the others stayed.
"Tonraq. Little piece of advice? Watch out for Zaheer. He's not very fond of world leaders which is probably why he had Ming-Hua kill Eska and Desna." Sean said making him smirk.
"I can handle him. Just stay focused on your mission." Tonraq said before he and the others started to climb.
Sean sighed as he equiped the wings of Icarus before flying upwards.
Meanwhile
Korra laughed as she played with her daughter who laughed as she bounced her in the air.
"Mmm. Mommy loves you and your brothers so much." Korra said kissing her forehead making her laugh before she yawned making Korra smile as she put her in her crib next to her brothers.
"They are little angels." Senna said making Korra smile before frowning. "Whats wrong?" Senna asked making her sigh.
"I'm scared to death. I know Sean can handle almost anything but...I just feel like I should be there helping him." Korra said.
"Korra...I know you two have always fought side by side since he scattered his family's ashes. But your still in no condition to be fighting right now." Senna said.
"I know...I just have this feeling something bad is gonna happen. I knew something was gonna happen when I unlocked the first spirit portal and saw him dying. Now I don't know whats gonna happen this time. And I can't bare the idea of losing him and having them grow up without a father." Korra said kissing her oldest who yawned in his sleep making her smile.
"Sweetie I'm sure everything will work out perfectly fine." Senna said holding her making her sigh.
"I hope so." Korra said hoping her husband would be ok.
Meanwhile
Reznov's group arrived at the air temple seeing it in bad shape.
"Holy shit." Reznov said.
"Must have been some fight." Mako said.
"You guys see them yet?" Sean asked on the comms.
"Negative. We're just arriving. Do not turn yourself over until we get a visual on them." Reznov said.
Soon enough they landed before Ghazan approached them.
"This way." Ghazan said as Reznov took out his hammer.
"No tricks freak." Reznov said as they followed him.
Meanwhile
Sean flew to the peak before seeing Zaheer and P'li before he landed away from them.
"Drop your weapons and surrender yourself. Including your armor." Zaheer said.
"You seriously expect me to do that?" Sean asked "Not until I have conformation. I didn't trust Unalaq and I sure as hell don't trust you since you obviously we're gonna kill Korra." Sean said glaring at him.
"Not in her current condition at the time of that I can assure you." Zaheer said.
"I still don't believe you." Sean said.
At the Temple
Reznov and the others arrived in a room seeing Tenzin chained up and the other airbenders as well.
"They're here." Mako said.
"And my brother?" Sean asked.
"I don't see him." Reznov said.
At the Peak
Sean frowned before pulling out his blades.
"Where is my brother?" Sean asked.
"With us. One last bargaining chip. You can have the airbenders. Once you turn yourself over and come with us we'll let him go." Zaheer said making him glare. "Now remove your weapons and armor." Zaheer said making him growl before doing so including the blades of Chaos. Zaheer however looked at mark he was given by the Village oracle. "So...thats the mark with your family's blood. A permanent reminder of what you had done." Zaheer said making him glare.
"Keep your mouth shut." Sean said as P'li cuffed him.
"Just for the record You are going to do for everything you've done." Sean said making her scoff.
At the temple
"We have him." Zaheer said to Ghazan who nods before letting them rush to Tenzin seeing him gagged.
"Where is Turok?" Reznov asked before looking a the airbenders feeling something off before it was revealed the clothing was filled with water by Ming-Hua making him growl.
At the Peak.
"KRUGER! IT'S A TRAP! THE AIRBENDERS AREN'T HERE!" Reznov yelled on the comms making Sean widen his eyes before roaring as he freed himself before throwing P'li at Zaheer who caught her.
"YOU SLIMY COCKSUCKER!" Sean yelled before summing the blade of Olympus.
"SPARTANS ATTACK!" Theseus yelled as they came up from the mountain side.
"Your outnumbered Zaheer!" Sean yelled trying to slash him.
"Not quite." Zaheer said before Greek monsters appeared. Monsters Sean knew more than anyone. Those who served Ares.
"You stupid mother fucker! Your working for Ares?" Sean asked.
"Accepting his aid is more of the correct term. I don't trust him any more than you do since theres obviously an agenda for his help. But Desperate times call for Desperate measures." Zaheer said making Sean roar before trying to slash him.
Theseus roared as he slashed through several monsters.
"FORM THE PHALANX!" Theseus roared getting the Spartans to do just that as they marched forward before P'li tried to blast them but shier shield proved to hold making her growl.
Lin and Suyin fought off several monsters before Baldur threw a rock at P'li who dodged.
Sean and Zaheer continued to fight before Tonraq appeared and cut the cables freeing the airship he was gonna use to escape.
"Nowhere to run, Zaheer!" Tonraq yelled as both charged at him.
Back at the temple
Reznov roared as he fought against Ghazan and Ming-Hua before blasting lightning at them but he used earth bending to block it.
"Your no match for an Asgardian!" Reznov roared slamming his hammer down making the ceiling come down on them but they dodged. "I detest those who break their word!" Reznov yelled as Mako and Bolin worked to free Tenzin.
"Where are the airbenders?" Mako asked using his firebending to melt the chains.
"I don't know. Zaheer moved them out of the temple along with Turok." Tenzin said weakly.
Reznov roared blasting them with lightning but they dodged.
"Will you just bury them already?" Ming-Hua said to Ghazan.
"Right." Ghazan said lavabending the place.
"Oh shit." Reznov said before backing away from the lava.
"We have to get back to the airship." Mako said.
"No good! Those fuckers blocked the exit." Reznov yelled.
"Where's Oogi?" Mako asked.
"Gone. They scared off the bison. But I think I know another way out. Bolin, Get us through that wall." Tenzin said getting him to earth bend the wall behind them as they rushed through. Reznov of course smashed the walls on the way forward to prevent the Lava from following them.
Outside Ghazan and Ming-Hua were on the airship before flying away as the whole place was coming down with Lava.
Entering the radio room they fond a door to the lower levels.
"GO!" Reznov yelled as they rushed through.
Back at the peak
Sean roared as he slashed through several monsters with ease before slamming his blade down and breathed fire at the others.
Zaheer of course tried to airbend him but he blocked with his blade.
"So thats the blade of Olympus. I had heard it's power rivals your father." Zaheer said.
"He created it dumb fuck!" Sean yelled before slashing creating a wave of power but he dodged quickly before Tonraq attacked him. "I'll give you one last chance to surrender and spend the rest of your days in a prison cell again." Sean said.
"I am never going back in that cell." Zaheer said before attacking again but Sean dodged.
"Then you leave me no choice!" Sean yelled as he went on the attack before wrapping a chain around him before slamming him down on the ground multiple times making him grunt in pain before Sean yelled as he got blasted from behind by P'li before she fended off the Spartans as best she could.
"I will free this world!" Zaheer yelled.
"There is such a thing as too much freedom!" Sean yelled before the Leviathan axe flew to his hand before Sean tried to strike him but he kept dodging. "While I understand perfectly going up against people like the Earth Queen and Xerxes 200 years ago there are good leaders in this world. And the time of pointless war is drawing to a close. But your actions prevent true peace from taking place!" Sean yelled as a storm of ice surrounded him before attacking Zaheer making him grunt as he flew out before Tonraq attacked him once more.
However Zaheer quickly used airbending on him.
"Say hello to the Earth queen and Unalaq for me." Zaheer said sending him over the edge.
"Tonraq!" Sean yelled before growling in rage as he charged at Zaheer with his fists before delivering deadly blows to him making him grunt in pain as Sean roared in rage.
Baldur dodged most of P'li's attacks before hiding behind a rock with Suyin and Lin.
"This bitch is really getting on my nerves...I got an idea. Wrap your armor around her head when she's about to do her combustion bending." Baldur said.
"Good idea." Lin said as Baldur rushed out before dodging her fire before standing at the edge of the cliff.
"Here I am bitch. Come and get me." Baldur said making her growl about to attack when Lin's armor wrapped around her head before.
BOOM!
Zaheer widened his eyes running to them.
"P'LI!" Zaheer yelled in horror seeing her headless body.
Sean panted as he glared at him.
"I learned no different than you. Working or Serving with Ares comes with a price. For you the love of your life. For me my entire family. I carry this mark in shame for what I did so many years ago. But I learned from my mistakes. You never will though." Sean said making him frown before pulling out a small vase.
"I am truly sorry for what I am about to do now Kruger. But you forced my hand." Zaheer said before dropping it making it shatter releasing some mist.
"The hell?" Sean asked as it was revealed to everyone.
"What is this stuff?" Lin asked while Baldur frowned.
"Uh oh." Baldur said realizing what it was.
"BURN THIS VILLAGE! BURN IT TO THE GROUND!"
Sean widened his eyes seeing the last dark day of his before approaching the temple.
"No." Sean said as the visions started coming back to him after 2 years since he and Korra started dating.
His younger self kicked down the doors of the temple before killing his own family.
"GET HIM OUT OF THERE!" Baldur yelled fighting more monsters.
Sean groaned holding his head as more and more of his family was killed by his younger self.
"No, NO!" Sean yelled as the visions started getting worse.
His Younger self roared before going for the final slash as his mother and sister screamed.
"ARES!" His younger self roared in rage.
"NOOOOO!" Sean roared before he collapsed as the visions came at him like a flood before he was unconscious.
"Truly I am Sorry Kruger. But you left me no choice." Zaheer said picking him up and swung him over his shoulder as the others rushed up.
"Put him down pal." Baldur said as Theseus pulled out his weapon.
"Let go your earthly tether." Zaheer said.
"Let him go." Lin said.
"Enter the void." Zaheer said.
"This is your last warning." Suyin said.
"Empty and become wind." Zaheer said before falling backwards.
"DAMNIT!" Baldur yelled rushing after him only to see Zaheer flying away.
"Did he just fly?" Lin asked in shock.
"This is not good." Baldur said before hearing groaning as Tonraq with the help of a metal bender came back up before Lin helped them up.
"Wheres Sean?" Tonraq asked making them frown. "Oh no." Tonraq said.
Back at the temple
"Ah we can't outrun this shit!" Reznov yelled.
"Through here!" Bolin said using earthbending to make a passage way to escape the lave but came to a cliff.
"Now what?" Mako asked as more Lava came at them before Bolin narrowed his eyes before yelling as he actually started lavabending shocking them all.
"Holy shit." Reznov said.
"So your not a metal bender but a lava bender. Nice job." Mako said before.
"Need a lift?"
Everyone turned and saw Kai on a young Bison he had befriended some time ago before Korra gave birth.
"Kai? Your all right." Tenzin said relieved.
"More or less. Hop on." Kai said as they got on and flew to the others.
Tonraq was getting treated as by the person who saved him.
"I owe you my life. Thank you Captain." Tonraq said.
"You can call me Kuvira." Kuvira said as he went into the radio room and sighed before turning it on.
"Julia are you there?" Tonraq asked.
"Yeah we're here. Did everything go as planned?" Julia asked.
"Wheres Sean and the others?" Korra asked making him sigh.
"I'm sorry Korra but Zaheer captured Sean and still has the airbenders." Tonraq said.
Korra widened her eyes before her breathing started to increase before falling into a chair.
"It's gonna be ok sweetie I promise." Senna said calming her down.
"I don't know what Zaheer did. Unleashed some kind of mist that brought him back to the temple." Tonraq said.
"Wait mist?" Korra asked.
"You know what that stuff was?" Tonraq asked.
"Yeah I've seen it before when we first went to Midgard. It's the mist of Hel. I saw Freya reliving a memory of how Sean broke Baldur's curse. How did Zaheer get his hands on it? He doesn't have access to the Bifrost." Korra said.
"Ares. His monsters showed up. Thats why the plan backfired." Tonraq said making her frown before leaving.
"So Sean was knocked out? Why didn't Zaheer just finish him off?" Julia asked.
"What do you mean?" Senna asked
"Zaheer had him dead to rights. So why didn't he go for the final blow?" Julia asked.
"I'll bet Ares has something to do with it." Tonraq said leaving.
Back at the Metal Clan
Korra was heading for an airship.
"Going somewhere?" Julia asked with Senna and Asami next to her.
"I have to find him. I can't just sit here anymore." Korra said.
"Korra your still not in good condition." Senna said holding her.
"I don't care. I can't lose him. I almost did once if Deimos didn't give up his life for him. Mom I can't go through that again. I can't risk Junior, Atreus and Katara growing up without a father. I can't." Korra said as tears built up in her eyes as her mother held her.
"Ok...Look...We'll go in by airship but we can't leave the triplets here. Ares would try something. We keep at a distance." Julia said making her nod not about to leave her babies behind.
"I know this is risky but I can't just sit here." Korra said.
Meanwhile
Sean slowly woke up with a groan as he found himself chained up by his legs and and arms making him growl before looking around seeing Zaheer and the other Red Lotus making him snarl.
"That...Was a cheep move." Sean said glaring at him in pure hatred.
"Believe me...I really wish I didn't have to do that. But you left me no choice. Now...You need to be removed. Ares has given us a poison that will kill you. And believe me I'd rather not use anything from a god who had his own disciple kill his own family. But the only way to kill a god even half is with the help from another god." Zaheer said making him snarl.
"You have no idea what forces your playing with. Ares's aid only benefits him." Sean said.
"I believe you. But our deal has already cost me P'li. I will not let her sacrifice be in vain." Zaheer said before a black liquid was seen in some glass before Ming-Hua started to bend it.
"I'm going to enjoy this." Ming-Hua said before forcing it through his mouth making him gag before it went all the way in making him groan as his body started shaking.
"How long is this gonna take?" Ghazan asked.
"I don't care. I'm going to enjoy watching him suffer." Ming-Hua said.
"I will say this. We won't go after your wife after this. Taking two parents away from children who only just came into this world is not our objective..." Zaheer tried to say.
"SPARE ME YOUR NONSENSE! Your vision is nothing but chaos! I would know. It's no different than the things Ares made me do. And your alliance with him...Will cost you everything just as it costed me my family." Sean said before groaning.
Meanwhile
Kai had led them to where the Red Lotus was keeping the others before rushing in to stop them.
Reznov roared as he fought against several members of the Red Lotus before he found Turok and the others.
"About damn time!" Turok said as he was chained up before Reznov set him free.
"We need to find Kruger. Zaheer has him for something." Reznov said freeing the others.
Sean continued groan.
"URGH! What is taking so long!" Ming-Hua asked.
Zaheer however frowned as he watched Sean struggle.
"Something's not right. His body isn't showing any signs of poison in his system." Zaheer said making Ghazan frown.
"You think Ares was toying with us?" Ghazan asked before the walls were blasted down shocking them before Reznov blasted Ming-Hua making her scream as she crashed into a wall before he did the same to Ghazan making him grunt.
"It's over Zaheer!" Reznov yelled making him frown before Sean started groaning loudly.
"Sean?" Tonraq asked before Sean's throat began to expand slightly before vomiting the black liquid out of his body before gasping for air before Reznov blasted the chains off before he fell down as Tonraq and Tenzin pulled him up.
"What did you do to him?" Lin asked.
"Used a poison from Ares...But I don't think that was an actual poison." Zaheer said as Ming-Hua and Ghazan got up ready for a fight.

However suddenly the liquid started to bubble.
"What the hell?" Ghazan asked before a Hand came out shocking everyone.
"Yup definitely not a poison." Ming-Hua said alarmed before another Hand came out before a person slowly came out of the ooze before a dark laughter came as this person took on a shape.
"Oh no." Sean said alarmed. "It can't be." Sean said weakly as this person faced them slowly making them widen their eyes.
It was the True Demon of Sparta.
"I'M FREEEEEEE!" The demon roared in victory as he laughed.
"What the? What is that thing?" Zaheer asked in alarm.
"I am the true Demon of Sparta. The one who slaughtered by the thousands in the name of my master Lord Ares...And I have you to thank for my freedom. I suppose I have to thank you...How bout...A quick Death!" The demon said with a sadistic grin.
"I warned you...You have no idea...What you've unleashed." Sean said weakly.
"Oh please." Ming-Hua said striking the Demon but he grabbed her water arms shocking her before pulling her to him making her yell before groaning in pain as his fist went right through her grabbing her spine making her whimper before the Demon kissed her.
"Consider that...A kiss goodbye my dear." The Demon said before pulling out her spine and skull in one go killing her shocking Zaheer and Ghazan with the later roaring as he tried to lava bend him but he deflected right back at his face.
"AHHHHH! AHHHH!" Ghazan roared in pain before the Demon grabbed his head before crushing it.
Zaheer looked in shock seeing his friends killed in the most brutal ways possible.
The demon continued to laugh before Sean stood up and put his weapons on before glaring at his demon who smirked.
"It's time I put you down for good." Sean said before they charged at each other before getting into a deadlock.
"Your too weak to fight me now brother." The Demon said.
"We are not brother's!" Sean roared before throwing him into a wall before following him.
Zaheer looked at his dead friends with regret.
"I knew this was a mistake. And it cost me everything." Zaheer said.
"You will pay for your sins later. Right now we need to stop that thing." Reznov said rushing to follow them as did the others while Zaheer stood where he was.
Sean roared punching the demon in the face before summoning the trident to use the water in the cave to attack him making him growl in anger before blasting him with red lightning.
"I won't let you serve Ares again!" Sean roared before summoning the Blade of Olympus and blasted him making the Demon growl in pain before punching him in the face making him crash into several walls.
"I will serve my master again. And the entire world will be his to command. As for me? I will enjoy destroying all who oppose him. Starting with your wife and children." The Demon said making Sean roar before blasting him with fire, lightning and water making him growl in pain as he crashed through a wall.

Sean grunted as he felt weak before Reznov rushed to him.
"We gotta stop that thing before he gets to Korra and the kids." Sean said trying to move.
"Relax he ain't going far." Reznov said.
Not too far away
Korra and the others were on the future industries airship
Korra however felt uneasy.
"Something wrong?" Asami asked.
"I...I know this presence. Something isn't right." Korra said.
The Demon roared as he grew to enormous size shocking everyone before he smashed the remaining Red Lotus members.
"Excellent my old student." Ares said appearing through fire. "Now that you are free...Your other half cannot hold you back. Destroy everything in your path." Ares said.
"Yes Master." The demon said before destroying the mountain as the others rushed outside.
Sean and Reznov rushed out before a piece of Rock stabbed Sean in the shoulder.
"AHHH!" The demon yelled holding his shoulder in pain.
"How the hell do we stop that thing?" Lin asked.
"Look it's wounded." Bumi said as the others looked seeing it hold its shoulder with blood coming out.
Sean looked towards it before holding his shoulder.
"Something must have wounded it." Tonraq said.
The demon growled in rage before blasting the mountain making it explode from the inside.
"I will kill you all! And then the entire...AHHHH!" The demon roared in pain holding his side.
"See it bleeds! We can kill it." Bumi said.
"Sean can you..." Tonraq tried to say as he faced him before widening his eyes.
Sean was groaning in pain as he used one of his blades of Chaos to stab himself in the side where the Demon held. Groaning he pulled it out.
"Oh no." Tenzin said.
"Their linked together." Baldur said.

Sean let out a shuddering breath before chuckling.
"Die by my own hands huh?" Sean asked himself remembering Cronos's words 2 years ago.
"Sean...We'll find another way." Tonraq said placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Maybe we could use the claws of Hades and seal it back inside you." Reznov said.
"That thing doesn't have a soul. Theres not enough time." Sean said sadly.
"No...We will find another way." Tonraq said.
"There isn't...Tell Korra I'm sorry I can't be there for her or the triplets." Sean said before summing the Trident and slammed it down creating a sphere of water to push them all back.
"SEAN WAIT!" Tonraq said as he held his blade before sighing before stabbing himself in the chest making him groan in pain as he collapsed to his knee.
"AHHHHHHHH!" the demon roared holding his latest wound before seeing the cause. "NOOOOOO! I won't let you kill me!" The demon roared.
Sean started coughing up blood before pulling out his other blade and stabbed himself in the Abdomen.
"AHHHHHHH!" The demon roared as he felt the pain as his whole body started to crack apart showing they were both dying.
Sean pulled the blade out before aiming for his heart.
"SEAN PLEASE! Think about Korra! Your children!" Tonraq yelled.
"I love you Korra. I'm so sorry." Sean said before stabbing himself in the heart before he coughed up a blob of blood before he fell backwards.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The Demon roared before exploding ending the true Demon of Sparta forever.
Korra suddenly gasped as she fell to her knees before her mother rushed to her.
"Korra? Whats wrong?" Senna asked in concern.
"I...I don't...Something feels wrong." Korra said.
The sphere went down before the others rushed to Sean who was on his back with his eyes open.
"No." Tonraq said checking for a pulse but found nothing making him sigh before pulling the blades out of his body before closing his eyes.
"No. Not again." Turok said as he started to cry as Jinora held him knowing he was hurt for losing another family all over again after a century.
Tonraq had walked away from the others before dropping the blades as Tenzin approached him with a sad look.
"There was no other way." Tenzin said sadly.
"How am I ever going to explain this to Korra? She's gonna be devastated even more than when he nearly died the first time." Tonraq said before Tenzin looked up.
"I think you'll have to explain it sooner than you think." Tenzin said seeing their airship before they landed before they got out.
"Dad!" Korra yelled rushing to him.
"Korra you shouldn't be here." Tonraq said.
"I couldn't sit back and wait. How did the Demon get out of Sean?" Korra asked making them look at each other but said nothing. "Whats going on?" Korra asked before her father held her. "Dad?" Korra asked.
"Korra, I am so sorry." Tonraq said.
"Sorry for what? Dad...Your scaring me." Korra said before she saw Sean's blades on the ground covered in blood making her frown.
"Korra...We..." Tenzin tried to say.
Korra frowned before looking at the others seeing Turok crying as Jinora held him making her widen her eyes.
"No." Korra said before she started walking to them.
"Tonraq?" Senna asked her husband who shook his head before she widened her eyes in realization before Julia and Asami rushed after Korra.
"No, No." Korra said in fear as she neared the others before pushing them out of the way. "NO! NO! NO!" Korra yelled seeing her dead husband before collapsing next to him. "SEAN PLEASE NO!" Korra screamed holding him.
"Korra. There was no other way. Him and that thing were linked." Reznov said holding Julia
Korra cried as she held her husband.
"Sean Please no. I love you." Korra cried as the others held their heads down.
"What the hell happened?" Julia asked as tears ran down her eyes.
"Ares. He tricked Zaheer into thinking he was poisoning him. Instead he helped release the Demon inside him. The only way to stop it was by killing himself. We tried to think of something else but he created a barrier to stop us from interfering." Reznov said.
"Sean please." Korra said as she sobbed as she held him to her chest. "Please come back." Korra begged before her mother held her as she cried her heart out. "It's not fair." Korra cried. "They never even got to know him." Korra said.
"I'm so sorry Korra." Senna said.
Korra sobbed while the others looked down as the skies began to ran. Even the heaves weeped for this loss.
