Chapter 3: The Gang's All Here

The camera pans diagonally right from the city streets to the city harbor by the Pioneer Bridge, where the camera zooms in on a condemned area of the harbor. Seagulls caw and ships honk their horns, as the camera lowers down past the piers and shifts to a shot of an old houseboat connected by a suspended gangplank. The camera cuts to the interior of the houseboat, as we see four occupants; two of them, a purple cat and an obese panda, asleep in their makeshift houses, a balding man watching TV, and a green-skinned teenager dancing to punk rock and roll on the radio. He picks up an old, ragged wallet in his teeth and brings it to the loot box. This teenager is Beast Boy/Garfield Logan.

The obese panda, named Po, is snoring as Beast Boy hops on his belly to get to the loot box. "Huh?" Po groans as he is waking up, wondering who bounced on his rotund belly. Beast Boy drops the wallet into the loot box.

The balding man, Charles Emerson Winchester III, was annoyed by Beast Boy's loud music that he shouted, "Garfield! Stop that racket! I'm trying to watch this show." Beast Boy glares at him.

Charles was watching the London Symphony Orchestra on television. They were playing Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Charles is moving his arm, as if he was the conductor of the orchestra.

Just then, Beast Boy pops out of nowhere, in front of the television, wondering what Charles was watching. "Yo Charlie, whatcha watchin' man? Hey, does he get the girl? I mean, what happens?"

Charles pushes Beast Boy away. "Shut up, you twit! It's a musical program, not a television show that you watch."

"Yo dude, this stuff is boring, man. Come on, let's watch some boxing or maybe Clash of the Planets! I wanna see some action!" Charles tries to hit Beast Boy but misses as Beast Boy dodges after turning into a bird and back to his normal self. Beast Boy laughs, "Hey, Charlie, what's wrong man? You're getting slow, dude."

"Garfield, for the last time. My name is Charles. Charles Emerson Winchester the Third. Not Chuck. Not Charlie. Its Charles," Charles said in his posh Boston accent.

"Dude, whatever," Beast Boy said, scratching his underarm. "So, what did you bring in today, 'Chahels'?"

"It's none of your business, you little pipsqueak."

"Hey guys, look what I got," Po walks up with a rusty pan.

Charles replied sarcastically, "Oh, nice work, Po. Now, all we need is the stove and the kitchen."

Po, believing Charles is being serious, takes it into consideration, "You think this place is big enough? Because that would be awesome!"

"Don't worry guys. I found some good quality stuff, man," Beast Boy takes out the wallet he had earlier. "Check it out."

"Oh boy, shredded leather," Charles mocked the sight of the wallet.

"Shredded wha... What you talkin' about, dude?" Beast Boy slams the wallet onto the ground. "This wallet is 100% state of the art, man."

"Rubbish, you mean."

"All right, that does it, Charlie, man! You insulted my pride! And you're going to regret it!

"Oh, I am so scared," Charles mocked Beast Boy.

Meanwhile, their argument has gotten so loud that it woke up the purple cat, Blaze. "Cut it out, you two."

Beast Boy had just transformed into a big gorilla when he heard Blaze and transformed back to his normal form.

Blaze walks over to the loot box and finds it full of nothing but garbage. "Spencer's not going be too happy about this. So, Charles, you got the food, right?"

"Well, no. I..." Charles chuckled nervously.

Everyone on the boat groaned, upset that Charles didn't bring them any food.

"It was your turn to get the food today!" Blaze said.

"It's scraps again!" Beast Boy groaned, getting tired of eating nothing but scraps almost every night.

"Hey. Whoa. Whoa. Cool your jets, Sonic fans," Sonic appears, leaning against the doorway. "I'd like to introduce you to... your dinner," Sonic throws the string of hotdogs at the gang. "Hotdogs a la carte."

"Hot dogs! All right, Sonic, my man!" Beast Boy cheered.

"You remain our preeminent benefactor," Charles complimented.

"Yeah. And you're okay too," Po said, even though he had no idea what Charles said.

Outside of the boat, Tails on the roof of the boat as he watches Sonic and the gang.

"So, how'd you do it this time, Sonic?" Blaze asked.

"Let me tell you, Blaze. It was tough. Only I could have done it," Sonic answered.

"Did you have to fight, dude? Did you fight? How many were there?" Beast Boy asked with a hotdog in his mouth. Pieces of hotdog flew out of his mouth, much to Charles's dismay.

Sonic walks around in front of his friends. "Picture the city: Kane and Finger. The crowds hustling, the traffic roaring, the hot dogs are sizzling," Sonic said with his tongue out.

"I love a story with food in it," Po drooled.

"Enter Sonic, one bad hedgehog. Not just out for himself, but community minded. Only to discover that he's not the only one out there. Enter the opposition," Sonic said in a sinister voice. Blaze sighs, knowing Sonic likes to go overboard with his stories. "A greedy, ugly, psychotic monster..."

Beast Boy gulps as Sonic continues. "With razor-sharp claws, dripping fangs, and two tails, very scary and unusual to see. He comes at me, eyes burning. I knew my time had come," Po and Beast Boy got very scared. "Suddenly..."

Tails leans in closer to see but breaks through the ceiling and falls in the middle of the crowd. Everyone starts panicking and taking cover.

"Invasion! We're under attack! Watch out! It's an invasion from another planet!" Beast Boy runs around.

"Take cover! Retreat!" Charles yelled.

Tails grunts while trying to get out of the jacket that fell on top of him. Everyone slowly walks out as Blaze asks, "Well, what is it?" Charles shrugs his shoulder

Beast Boy walks over to the moving jacket. "Alright, let's see what we have," Beast Boy turns into a dog and starts sniffing. A hand pops out of the jacket and grabs Beast Boy's nose. He screams and shouts, "IT IS AN ALIEN!"

Tails manages to get out of the jacket and Blaze is the first to see him. "Relax boys. It's just a fox."

Beast Boy pops up from behind a box. "Oh phew! Glad to hear that!"

Sonic sees Tails and shakes his head, for he couldn't believe Tails had follow him to his place. "How'd you find this place, fox?" Blaze asked Tails.

"I... I... I followed this hedgehog," Tails answered.

"Dude, he's lying. I know he's lying. I have this sixth sense of when people lie and I know this kid is lying," Beast Boy rambled on.

Blaze hits Beast Boy and said, "Shut up, Beast Boy!"

"Why would a fox follow a hedgehog? And why does he have two tails?" Charles asked, noting Tails' two tails.

"Yeah?" Po asked.

"I-I just wanted some of the sausages I helped him get," Tails answered shakily.

Beast Boy jumps out with a Nerf gun in his hand. "He's a spy, dude! I say we kill him! You're dead meat, fox!" He points the Nerf gun at Tails. (Like that's going to kill a fox!)

"I-I saw him come down," he spots Sonic on the arm chair. "Hey! That's... Hey, that's him! O-Over there." They all see Sonic watching a baseball game on TV with the sunglasses he had earlier on.

Sonic, noticing Tails, tries to play it cool. "Hey, buddy. What took you so long?"

"Relax, kid," Blaze winks her eye at Tails, as Beast Boy, Charles, and Po laugh at Sonic. For they knew his story was too good to be true.

"Hey, Sonic, razor-sharp claws man?" Beast Boy laughs.

"Dripping fangs?" Charles mocked.

"I'll admit it, the 'burning eyes' was pretty funny," Blaze chuckled.

"Hey, keep it down, guys. The game's on," Sonic said with a small hint of embarrassment.

"Oh, dude, Sonic! The blue blur has to get help from a fox!" Beast Boy giggles as he turns off the TV.

"Hey, Beast Boy, cool it, man."

"Come on bro. Let's see this big, bad fox fight in action."

"Hey, Beast Boy, look!" Sonic points to something. Beast Boy turns his head to see, allowing Sonic to tackle him, as the two bump into Charles, inadvertently getting him involved.

"Oh, boy! Get ready to feel the thunder!" Po shouts and he lands right on his friends.

Blaze, disgusted by the scene, said, "Oh, what a bunch of overgrown... Oof!" She gets hit by Beast Boy and gets angry. "All right. That's it." She leaps into the fray, and all five of them continue to fight playfully. Tails is frightened by this and hides in the loot box. The fighting continues until they hear the voice of their leader, Spencer Shay.

"All right, knock it off!" Camera pans right to Spencer. "Enough! What's the matter with you guys?" The gang stop fighting. "Don't you understand? Sionis will be here any minute," Spencer whimpers. The camera zooms in a box of treats that Spencer has in his hand. "And I don't have..." Sonic, Blaze, Beast Boy, and Po charge for Spencer, except for Charles. "Whoa! No, no, no, no, no!" The gang tackles Spencer to the ground, the box of treats flying into the air and spilling treats on the floor. Everyone cuddles Spencer with love.

"No, no. Stop it. No. No," Po gives Spencer a big panda hug. "What a joke! All right, settle down." Before the happy reunion can continue, a car horn is heard honking loudly, meaning only one thing. "Sionis!" Spencer gasps. Sionis' wolf and dingo, Sleet and Dingo, take the gangplank leading to Spencer's houseboat.

"All right, all right. I'm coming!" Spencer whimpers. "I'll be right there. You guys, listen: Don't let me down! What do you got? Please tell me you got something good." Beast Boy hands Spencer the old wallet from the loot box. "It's worthless! What have you done? Oh, how are we ever going to pay Sionis off with a... a fox?" Spencer pulls Tails out of the box, as he hears the door being pounded open. Sleet and Dingo emerge.

"Oh," Spencer said, nervous chuckling. "Look who's here, guys. Company," Spencer brings his hand to shake Sleet's hand, who attempts to chop Spencer's hand off but misses. "I was just on my way out." He leaves to check in with Sionis, leaving his friends at the mercies of Sleet and Dingo, chuckling wickedly.

"You guys... miss us?" Sleet asked.
