Chapter 50 WAR
Korra smiled as she put her daughter in her crib making her yawn.
"You ok?" Sean asked walking to her.
"Yeah I'm fine. But where are we gonna keep the kids when Kuvira attacks. I'm not sending them to Olympus knowing Ares would try something and considering the other armies from Asgard and Egypt are on the way they wouldn't have as much protection." Korra said worried for their well being.
"They'll stay on Airtemple island. I'm putting up a barrier that'll protect them. Don't worry they'll be fine." Sean said holding her close making her sigh.
"After the last war I finally thought we were done with this stuff. Until Ares is dead nothing will ever change." Korra said.
"Well...Hopefully we end Kuvira and Ares in one go." Sean said making her smile before kissing him.
Soon the family went to Air temple island before seeing Tenzin looking concerned.
"Tenzin? Whats wrong?" Korra asked.
"Have either of you seen Jinora? I can't find her anywhere." Tenzin said.
"No...Come to think of it we haven't seen Turok either." Sean said.
"Wanna have a look around?" Korra asked.
"Might as well. We still got 17 days until Kuvira attacks." Sean said.
Sean and Korra split up in Republic City to find them.
Thats when Sean arrived outside the city as he used a technique Baldur taught him 200 years ago.
"Hmm." Sean said before he heard splashing making him raise an eyebrow before walking to the source.
He soon found a waterfall and on the ground were Turok and Jinora's clothes making him widen his eyes before snickering as he looked up seeing the two in the water holding each other close before Jinora kissed him lovingly.
"Oh love birds!" Sean yelled shocking them.
"AHHHH!" Jinora yelled as she hid behind her boyfriend.
"What the hell!" Turok yelled making Sean burst out laughing.
"Oh this is just perfect. My little brother is growing up!" Sean laughed.
"It's just a simple swim!" Turok yelled.
"Uh huh? With no clothes on?" Sean said pointing at said clothes making them blush.
"I told you we should have just hid them in a bag!" Jinora yelled embarrassed.
"Oh like I knew they would follow us. What are you doing here?" Turok asked.
"Tenzin got worried when he couldn't find Jinora and we didn't see you all day. So naturally we went to find you. Trust me I didn't plan to interrupt a special moment between you two." Sean laughed.
"Sean, PLEASE don't tell my dad about this. He'll freak out." Jinora said making him laugh.
"I won't tell if Turok does something after the war against Kuvira." Sean said grinning making them nervous.
"And just what is that?" Turok asked.
"You are gonna propose to her when this is over." Sean said making them blink before looking at each other before grinning.
"I'm ok with that." Turok said getting Jinora to nod.
"Good." Sean said leaving.
"Well that was unexpected." Turok said before Jinora grinned.
"Now...Where were we? Oh yeah." Jinora said pulling him into a kiss before moaning. (A reminder she's 16 years old and Turok is now physically 16 years old so no one gets the wrong idea)
Sean laughed as he walked out of the forest.
"There you are." Korra said landing down in front of him. "Did you find them?" Korra asked making him snort. "What?" Korra asked raising an eyebrow.
"Um...Yes I found them...In an intimate moment." Sean said snickering.
"Huh?" Korra asked.
"Do I have to spell it out?" Sean asked making her look confused before widening her eyes in realization.
"You mean?" Korra tried to ask before he nods making her burst out laughing.
"Yeah I found their clothes on the ground and next to a waterfall." Sean laughed. "I promised I wouldn't tell Tenzin on one condition. He proposes to her after the war against Kuvira. I think their more than Ready." Sean said making her grin as they walked away.
"I just remembered by the way. Reznov said you faced Alrik before that day you made the deal with Ares. What was he talking about?" Korra asked.
"Oh that. You remember how my people used to throw out those who were sick or deformed to keep their city perfect?" Sean asked.
"Yeah I remember." Korra said.
"Well...At one point my sister had this Rare skin disease and she would have been given the same fate but I pleaded with the King to give her time so I could find something to cure her." Sean said.
"And what was that?" Korra asked.
"The Ambrosia. It was a special kind of fruit made for the gods. For mortals it could cure them of anything even on the verge of death." Sean said.
"How old were you when this happened?" Korra asked.
"15. The king admired my commitment to my sister and gave us a month to find it. But we weren't the only ones after it however as various others went in search of it. One of them was Alrik who needed it to cure his father. At the time I couldn't have cared less about anyone else so I beat him within an inch of his life and thought I had killed him during our first confrontation but he survived. I got the fruit and made it back to Sparta." Sean said.
"And gave it to your sister. Sean thats gotta be the most courageous thing you ever did for your sister." Korra said touched by how far he went back then as a mere human just to save her. (This is actually based on a comic of Kratos going after this fruit to save his daughter years before he made the deal with Ares)
"Yeah. The King was beyond impressed by my success he made me the youngest Captain in Sparta's history and you know the rest." Sean said.
"Well, it might have led to a dark path but you did a good thing for Calliope." Korra said kissing him making him smile.
A week later
The armies of Greece, Asgard and Egypt were assembled in Republic City as were the armies of the North and South Poles and the Fire nation along with other armies of the world.
Asami even upgraded the mecha tanks and planes for every possible contingency.
Even gods like Thor and Horus were here to help out.
Currently the leading members were on Air temple island.
"I certainly hope this is enough." Tenzin said.
"When it comes to Ares's army I would say this will even the playing field." Baldur said.
"There's something we need to discuss with you." Korra said as She, Sean, Asami, Mako and Bolin walked in.
"What is it?" Tenzin asked.
"The Five of us have been talking and we want to take out Kuvira's Spirit weapon before it gets too close to the city." Korra said.
"That sounds like a risk we don't need to take. The entire city has been evacuated and General Iroh is getting the troops in place." Tenzin said.
"I know Iroh can go toe to toe with Kuvirar and Ares's army, But that weapon..." Korra tried to say.
"It's too powerful! It can destroy the city!" Bolin said.
"We can't let it get to our doorstep." Mako said.
"We'll sneak behind enemy lines and disable the damn thing. With it out of the way the war will be more in our favor." Sean said.
"But if you get caught..." Tenzin tried to say.
"It's worth the Risk." Korra said.
"I agree. Get going." Baldur said as they left.
Later
Oogi flew the group to where Kuvira was last seen while Bolin was on the look out.
"So how are we gonna destroy that super weapon?" Asami asked.
"Anyway we can." Korra said.
"Uh guys? We might have a problem." Bolin said alarmed looking down seeing Kuvira's army heading right for Republic City.
"What the hell? They're a week early." Sean said.
"This doesn't make sense. There aren't any tracks to transport that weapon. How are they carrying it?" Mako asked before they heard giant thuds making them widen their eyes seeing a giant Mecha Suit.
"Oh you gotta be fucking kidding me. Thats why she stripped the domes in Zaofu!" Sean yelled.
"They used them to make a giant Mecha Suit. And look!" Asami said seeing the cannon on the right arm.
"Did you know Kuvira was building that thing?" Mako asked Bolin.
"Oh, Did I forget to mention that? NO! Of course I didn't know!" Bolin yelled.
"How the hell are we gonna stop them now?" Korra asked.
Inside said giant Kuvira was in the head.
"There's a flying bison up ahead." One of her Techs said making her grin.
"Kruger." Kuvira said before metal bending the gears to aim at them before it powered up.
"INCOMING!" Sean yelled as they evaded as she fired at them.
"We're leaving now." Korra said as they left.
"Should we go after them? They're going to warn Republic city." Baatar said on the comms.
"Let them. No one can stop us now." Kuvira said grinning.
Later
Oogi landed back on Air temple island.
"Why are you back so soon? Theres no way you took them down that fast." Baldur said.
"We didn't get the chance. Kuvira's army is hours away. She probably accelerated her plans when Zhu-Li came back." Sean said.
"And even worse the weapon is on a giant Mecha Suit. The damn thing has to be at least 25 stories tall." Korra said.
"You gotta be kidding me. How the hell did they make something like that?" Reznov asked.
"By using the domes of Zaofu. Hell everything inside is probably platinum." Sean said.
"Get General Iroh on the line and tell him the attack is happening today." Baldur said to Lin who nods before rushing off.
"We better get ready." Sean said to Korra who nods.
Soon Sean and Korra were on the front lines waiting for Kuvira.
Thats when Sean gently held Korra's hand making her smile.
Then the ground started shaking making them get serious before Kuvira's army appeared along with her giant Mecha suit.
"Oh shit." Baldur said seeing this at Air temple island.
"That thing is huge." Lin said in shock.
Both armies stood in front of one another.
"Kuvira this is Chief Beifong. You are ordered to stand down. Turn your army around and leave." Lin said on the radio.
"You and Baldur are in no position to give orders." Kuvira said.
"Stand down or we will attack." Baldur said making her scoff.
"I don't think you fully realize what my weapon is capable of. Let me show you exactly what it can do." Kuvira said loading her cannon up to fire on Air temple island.
"Oh no you don't!" Sean yelled summoning the Tridant before water from the ocean came at him before he took on his water form and smacked her arm away making her hit a mountain.
Kuvira grinned as Sean appeared before her.
"I killed you once before Kuvira. I'll do it again!" Sean yelled before attacking her.
"CALVERY! ATTACK!" Theseus yelled getting both armies to charge at one another.
Korra quickly went into the Avatar state before blowing away Ares's monsters with ease before destroying the Mecha Suits.
Sean roared as he blasted Kuvira with lightning making her growl as she tried to blast him again but he quickly dodged and the cannon hit Raiko's former house that had nothing but pictures of himself.
"Wow even in death he still suffers in the land of the living." Korra said amused before earth bending an undead warrior.
"You can't fight me forever Kruger!" Kuvira yelled as Sean punched her down before the water began to wrap around the Mecha Giant before throwing her into the city making her crash.
Sean quickly turned human before rushing to Korra as she fought off some monsters.
"That should put her out of commission for a little while. We need to get back to the others and plan out our next move." Sean said.
"Lets go." Korra said as they rushed off.
Meeting back at Asami's factory they told the situation.
"So far the battle is evenly matched as long as that thing focuses on us and not the armies. But once Kuvira gets it back up and running it'll make things difficult." Sean said.
"Maybe we can't fight it but at least cripple it. Zhu-Li, when you were spying on Kuvira, did you learn anything about that metal monster?" Asami asked.
"I had no idea they were even making something like that. Though I can't say I'm surprised. They probably built it to fight Kruger." Zhu-Li said.
"Guess Baatar Jr. Is a better inventor than I thought. Don't tell him I said that." Varrick said annoyed.
"Zip it." Sean said annoyed.
"Wait thats it." Korra said getting his attention. "Baatar Jr Built it He'll know how to take it down." Korra said.
"Very nice thinking." Sean said making her grin.
"I say we capture him and make him talk." Korra said.
"Reznov. You and Julia are up." Sean said making them grin.
Minutes later
Baatar Jr. Grunted as he was thrown into a chair before glaring at everyone.
"You've made a terrible mistake. Once Kuvira finds out I'm missing, you're all done for." Baatar said.
"Spare us the nonsense. Your going to tell us how to stop that Mecha Giant willingly or by force." Sean said.
"Oh please and how are you gonna do that?" Baatar asked mockingly making him glare before Sean stabbed him in the hand making him yell in pain while Suyin looked away not being able to watch this.
"I learned a lot of things from Ares. Flesh that burns and bones that breaks. There are a million ways I can get you to talk." Sean said making him glare.
"GO...TO...HELL!" Baatar yelled making him grin taking out another knife about to stab the other hand.
"Sean wait." Suyin said making him stop. "Let me try." Suyin said.
"If you think I'm going to spill all my secrets to you, mother, you're sadly mistaken." Baatar said.
"Why are you doing this? I know you set out to help better the world but this is Madness!" Suyin said.
"It's Madness to let others take what's yours and accept it blindly." Baatar said.
"Oh freaken please that sounds like the same BS the Earth Queen said and she was planning to conquer the entire world." Sean said.
"Thats different she was insane and only cared about herself. Kuvira cares about everyone in the Earth Kingdom." Baatar said.
"Even the state she killed last month when she showed up again?" Korra asked making him widen his eyes.
"Wha...What are you talking about she never killed anyone." Baatar said.
"Wrong. When one of the states that originally swore loyalty to Kuvira didn't report in after a couple days Baldur sent us to see what was wrong. We found the place in ruins. Everyone was killed...By Kuvira. And she admitted it freely after saying she was now Ares new student like I once was." Sean said shocking him.
"No...Your lying! She would never..." Baatar tried to say.
"Baatar he's telling the truth. I sent my own people to investigate that incident. Every person there was killed both by those blades and her style of metal bending." Suyin said making him look in shock before glaring at Sean.
"This is your fault! If you hadn't killed her the first time..." Baatar tried to say.
"Oh so I was just supposed to let her take my pregnant wife at that time and let her keep her prisoner until she gave birth to my second daughter and let her take my first three kids? YOUR A FUCKING MORON!" Sean yelled.
"Sean calm down." Korra tried to calm him down.
"No I'm not gonna calm down! This fucker thinks Kuvira is right in every way including making my mistakes. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if Ares made her do the last thing I did when I served him and she didn't change like I did." Sean said.
"Oh so what? All those families and children you murdered 400 years ago finally got to you?" Baatar questioned.
"No Baatar. Ares tricked Sean into doing something he swore he would never do. No matter how much power it got him." Suyin said confusing him.
"What are you talking about?" Baatar asked.
"Baatar...Ares tricked me into murdering my entire family." Sean said shocking him to the core.
"You..." Baatar tried to say.
"Now I resented my family and vice verse back then but I always loved them no matter what...And I never got the chance to tell them that. Ares tricked me into murdering them all in the temple of a village that offered prayers to Athena. My grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins...And worst of all my own mother and my little sister who I loved more than anything. He was trying to make me a greater warrior." Sean said in regret of his actions.
"Only it had a different outcome. Sean abandoned Ares and from that day abandoned his former ways into who he is now. And Kuvira is making the same mistakes as he did." Suyin said making Baatar look in shock.
"How do you live with such an act?" Baatar asked.
"It took me 400 years to finally forgive myself. The only good thing that came out of my actions 300 years later is when I met Korra." Sean said holding her close. "But not a day goes by where I don't regret what I did wishing I could take it all away." Sean said making him look down.
"Baatar you need to help us Stop Kuvira." Suyin said.
"I..." Baatar tried to say.
"Uh guys!" Mako said looking outside seeing the Giant finally getting up before aiming at them. "I don't know how but she knows we're here." Mako said.
"No! She wouldn't!" Baatar tried to say.
"OUT!" Sean yelled as they ran out as Kuvira fired her cannon right at them making the factory explode.
Inside the Mecha Giant Kuvira smiled before looking behind her seeing the image of Ares.
"You did well. Perhaps you will even surpass him in years to come." Ares said before vanishing.
"Oh I intend to." Kuvira said.
Back at the factory the rubble start to move before Bolin used his earth bending.
"OUT! OUT!" Sean yelled as they rushed out.
"Go ahead take your time just bending a giant wall!" Bolin said before they all got out.
Tenzin flew to a building before seeing Kuvira's Mecha Giant and her monsters coming towards them making him widen his eyes before flying away and landed next to the others.
"Kuvira's heading our way with her monsters." Tenzin said.
"What are we gonna do?" Asami asked.
"This is my hometown, and I hate to say it, but theres no use risking all our lives to fight that giant thing. Let her take the city for now. We'll think of some way to come back and beat her." Bolin said.
"We can't. All of our forces are fighting inside the city. Look." Turok said making them look seeing fighting all over the place. "We're too scattered. We can't leave." Turok said.
"I stopped her once before. I can do it again." Sean said taking out the blade of Olympus.
"The entire world isn't safe as long as she has that weapon and with her taking orders from Ares she will use it to conquer everything in her path." Korra said.
"I agree." Baldur said appeared with Lin. "We're gonna take down that giant today." Baldur said.
"Well, you people are gonna have to fight her alone. She just blew up our factory with all our hummingbird suits." Varrick said.
"Not all of them. There are the prototypes back at my office. If we can get those ready to fly, we'll at least be able to offer a little air support." Asami said.
"Su, you take Baatar Jr. And the rest of the wounded back to Asami's office. Get those suits working as soon as you can. The rest of us will help the troops out as best we can." Korra said.
"Looks like the kid gloves are off." Sean said.
Kuvira continued to move through the city before seeing more of her troops engage the Spartans making her grin about to open fire on them when suddenly paint was dropped on the glass blinding her.
"What the?" Kuvira said before seeing Tenzin and his airbenders before the glass was completely covered making her growl. "Clear the damn glass!" Kuvira ordered as water started washing it away.

When it was cleared they saw Sean in his most powerful form he used to fight Zaheer and his group a second time making her gasp in shock.
"DIE!" Sean yelled punching her back.
"Now thats more like it!" Turok yelled as he turned into a lion before slashing the throats of several monsters before facing a minotaur before turning into an elephant and charged right at it.
Korra went into the Avatar state before facing several monsters with ease before blasting one with air-bending right into Sean's body before it burned away into lave making her grin.
Bolin unleashed a wave of lava on some Centaurs who roared in pain as they burned alive. (Since their not human it makes more sense they would have easier time killing them)
Lin and her nephews metal bended several Mecha Suits with ease.
Sean roared as he blasted Kuvira with Lava in the chest making her growl.
"You make a poor excuse for a student of war. I actually fight my enemies face to face with honor where you hide behind armor like a coward!" Sean roared making her growl in rage as she punched him away before the skies lite up with lightning before engulfing Sean's body.
"I'LL KILL YOU!" Kuvira yelled as they fought.
Reznov pulled out his old sword before slashing through several troops with ease since his father had the Hammer again.
Julia flew down before creating a gust of wind that blew away several Harpies away.
Korra quickly used airbending to try and push Kuvira down before Tenzin and the others did the same.
"A man with friends has a better chance of winning a war. You fight it alone and you will lose." Sean said making Kuvira yell as her Mech started to fall over before Sean punched her down hard making her growl.
"It's over Kuvira." Korra said.
"Oh...Not yet." Kuvira said before aiming at the island making their eyes widen.
"NO!" Korra yelled in horror before Sean got in the way.
"NO!" Sean yelled as he took the blast in the chest shocking everyone as Sean roared in agonizing pain before he exploded.
(End song)
"No." Korra said with wide eyes before Sean fell behind her groaning in pain making her gasp seeing him wounded as his armor cracked apart before she rushed to him.
"Ok that hurt." Sean said as he stood up.
"How did you?" Korra tried to say.
"I left the core at the last second but still took damage." Sean said holding his chest.
"Is that the best you can do Kruger?" Kuvira mocked.
"Fall back!" Sean yelled as they ran off as Kuvira tried to stand.
Meanwhile
Varrick, Asami and Zhu-Li were at Asami's office trying to get the last two suits working.
"All right. Let's fire it up again." Varrick said as they tried to fly it and it did take off before going crazy.
"I can't stabilize it. I thought you fixed the Hydraulics." Asami said flying off.
"I did! Twist harder!" Varrick yelled.
"OH SHIT!" Asami yelled as they crashed. "Well, that didn't work." Asami said before an Asgardian rushed in.
"We have Mecha Suits on their way here."
"I know how to take down some Mecha-Suits, And it just might take down that Giatn, too! Asami, disconnect anything electrical in here until we get back. Zhu-Li, let's go." Varrick said as the two rushed off.
Meanwhile
Sean roared as he slashed through several undead warriors before pulling out the blade of Olympus before creating a wave of power that decimated a large number of them.
"More Mechs!" Turok yelled as more showed up only to fall over. "Huh?" Turok asked.
"I think they lost power. Varrick. Ok I take it back. He may be annoying but he's useful." Sean said impressed before seeing Kuvira's was still moving. "Ah damnit. Lets head back and plan our next move.
Making it back to Asami's office they confronted Varrick.
"Varrick, how come your electro-thingy shut down the small Mecha-suits but not the big one?" Bolin asked.
"Its called an EMP an..." Varrick tried to say.
"Electro magnetic pulse. We know." Sean said.
"Oh." Varrick said.
"Because it's powered with spirit vine energy. I'm sorry. I wish I could help you, but it's unstoppable." Baatar said.
"It's not."
Everyone turned and saw Hiroshi who looked older than the last time they saw him 6 years ago. Reznov quickly drew his blades and approached him.
"Reznov wait." Sean said stopping him.
"Dad?" Asami asked surprised to see him.
"I got him out of jail to help. I figured we need all the geniuses we can get our hands on right now. If the prison's still standing after all this is over, we can throw him back in." Lin said.
"I know what you all must think of me, But I love Republic city, And I would do anything to save her." Hiroshi said.
"Oh yeah sure thats funny coming from the guy who tried to kill his own daughter six years ago." Reznov said glaring at him making him hold his head down in shame.
"Enough! Everyone deserves a second chance. Even him." Sean said.
"Thank you." Hiroshi said thankful.
"You think you know how to defeat this thing?" Korra asked.
"You must act like an Infection: Break the skin and attack the vital organs. Disconnect the heart and the brain, and this beast cannot live." Hiroshi said.
"But how are we supposed to get inside?" Korra asked.
"The damn thing is made of Platinum so we can't bend or cut through so easily." Sean said.
"Future industries has plasma saws for cutting platinum. If we had one on the Mecha-Suit..." Hiroshi tried to say.
"But the saws are way too big. We'd never get the suits off the ground." Asami said.
"I think I can add an electrical element to the wilding torch on your suit and convert it into a plasma saw. Then we'll just have to land on the giant and cut open a hole big enough for someone to get in." Hiroshi said.
"Like a Metal mosquito." Asami said.
"You know what happens when a Mosquito lands on me? I squash them." Varrick said.
"We'll have to attack in a swarm to try to keep you guys safe in the hummingbird suits. It looks like they're our only hope." Korra said before a Spartan rushed in.
"Kuvira's machine is on her way here."
Sean frowned at this before sighing.
"I'll handle this." Sean said.
"No your still injured." Korra said.
"Doesn't matter. We can't be holding back." Sean said before holding her face. "Your not losing me a second time. I promise." Sean said making her sigh before nodding.
Kuvira continued to make her way towards Future industries before her giant was punched back much to her shock.
"What was that?" Kuvira asked before it got punched back again by Sean who had the nemean Cestus on making her grin before aiming her weapon at him but he quickly dodged before leading her away.
Korra and the others waited for Kuvira to show up.
"Come on Sean." Korra said before seeing him run away from the giant before it fired at him again but he equipped his wings and flew off.
"NOW!" Sean yelled as Korra, Lin and Suyin used earth bending to attack her but they did no damage.
"You people are really starting to piss me off!" Kuvira yelled angered before Sean flew at her before equipping the Gauntlet of Zeus and punched her back making her nearly fall while she growled in rage before trying to blast him again but he used the Golden Fleece to block her attack before directing it right back at her left arm which actually almost did some damage much to her shock.
"I think I just found a way to tear this thing apart." Sean said before the Fleece crumbled apart. "Oh you gotta be fucking kidding me." Sean said annoyed.
"Seriously? That thing damages it and falls apart?" Lin asked making Korra sigh.
"Nothing is ever easy." Korra said.
Sean looked up seeing Kuvira aiming her weapon at him.
"Any last words Kruger?" Kuvira asked grinning making him smirk.
"Yeah...How does it feel to have a building fall on top of ya?" Sean asked.
"Huh?" Kuvira asked before a rumbling sound was heard making her turn and gasped seeing A building falling on top of her curtesy of Bolin and the Twins.
"HA! In your face!" Sean yelled flying away only to get nearly blasted by Kuvira again as she stood up. "Oh come on!" Sean yelled annoyed as she tried to blast him before Korra went into the Avatar state and used airbending to push her back.
"You two are really getting on my nerves." Kuvira said.
"Thats a good marriage couple for ya." Sean said making Korra grin in amusement. "Now why don't you come out here and fight like a real warrior. I never once when I served Ares used stuff like this. I fought my enemies face to face." Sean said.
Kuvira growled as she got back up and tried to squash them.
Thats when the Varrick, Zhu-Li, Hiroshi and Asami flew in using the only two Mecha Suits.
"Keep her busy." Sean said wrapping a chain around one of the arms making her growl in rage.
"Aim for that spot in the middle of the back, the one I can never reach." Varrick said.
"Got it." Zhu-Li said landing on the back before strapping down about to cut in only for the hand to come at them.
"Whaa! Let's get out of here." Varrick said as they flew off. "Wish I had that kind of flexibility." Varrick said.
"This won't work if that thing keeps moving." Korra said before Sean looked behind them seeing a large supply of water making him grin.
"Your up." Sean said making her grin before rushing to it.
Korra used her water bending to make a large wave of water wash up on the giant before freezing Kuvira in her tracks but she still got one last shot out hitting the wings off of Varrick's Mecha suit..
"EJECT!" Varrick yelled as they ejected as they crashed before Korra froze the arm in place just as Hiroshi and Asami landed on the leg.
Hiroshi quickly started cutting in.
"Come on!" Sean yelled before Korra used more water to hold it in place.
"It's not gonna hold it." Korra said as Kuvira started breaking through.
"Dad we need to go!" Asami yelled.
"Almost there. Almost there." Hiroshi said before Kuvira's arm broke free.
"DAD! NOW!" Asami yelled.
"Good-bye, Asami. I love you." Hiroshi said before ejecting her making her eyes widen in shock.
"DAD!" Asami screamed before he was crushed by Kuvira. Nevertheless his plan worked cutting a hole for the others.
"Hiroshi's plan worked." Korra said as Sean held her.
"Lets make sure his sacrifice was not in vain." Sean said as they rushed to the opening.
"OH NO YOU DON'T!" Kuvira yelled as she tried to crush them but they made it in making her growl.
"Ok. It's time we tear this thing apart from the inside out." Sean said.
"Su, Lin, climb up to the arm and try to disable that weapon. Mako, Bolin, Get to the engine and see if you can power this thing down. Sean and I are going after Kuvira." Korra said.
Outside
Reznov roared as he blasted lightning at several monsters before coming face to face with several Cyclops's.
"Oh thats just fucking perfect." Reznov said before lightning struck down on them from Thor.
Baldur roared throwing a large rock as some Mecha-Suits before evading Satyrs.
"This isn't gonna end until Kuvira is dead." Julia said flying away from some harpies.
"Tell me something I don't know." Baldur said.
Inside
Lin and Suyin made it to the Cannon before they were attacked by a metal bender.
"I'll take care of this guy. Disable the weapon!" Lin said going on the attack.
Suyin quickly used her metal bending to pull the capsules down before they exploded which she dodged before Lin came back up.
"Nice work." Lin said.
"The outside may be platinum, but we can do a lot of damage in here." Suyin said before they started metal bending the gears.
In the control room
"The weapon's loading mechanism has malfunctioned. We're unable to fire."
"It's no malfunction. I can feel someone metalbending inside the arm." Kuvira said trying to move it but nothing happened. "I lost the connection. The weapon's useless now." Kuvira said before she grabbed the limp arm and tore it off making Suyin and Lin nearly fall out had Lin not metal bended them to the wall as they flew away and the cannon flew off.
Both of them were knocked out cold but still alive.
Thats when the door to the control room was metal bended open by Korra as she and Sean jumped in before Sean cut off the heads of those who followed Kuvira.
"It's over Kuvira! Surrender now!" Sean yelled making her grin before pulling out her blades.
"I'm going to enjoy killing both of you!" Kuvira yelled before going on the attack swinging her blades around which Sean and Korra dodged with ease before Sean equipped the Nemean Cestus before punching Kuvira several times making her grunt before slashing his right arm but Korra metal bended him a shield before airbending her into a wall making her growl before attacking them again.
Outside
Turok roared as a Giant Komodo before attacking several monsters before on jumped on top of him and started stabbing him making him roar in pain before Jinora air bended it off.
Theseus roared as he slashed through several monsters before a large number of Cerberus's attacked.
"This isn't going well!" Reznov yelled blasting them with lightning.
Inside
Mako and Bolin finally took out the guards about to shut down the power source.
"Pull the levers!" Mako said as they both did so but nothing happened.
"Kuvira must have done some override thing!" Bolin said.
"Theres got to be some other way to shut down power from here. You spend some time with Varrick and Jr. Didn't anything rub off on you?" Mako asked.
"Look the only thing I know is these things explode when you mess with them." Bolin said.
Mako narrowed his eyes before looking at the spirit vine.
"Get those engineers out of here. I have an idea." Mako said.
"Want to fill me in?" Bolin asked.
"I'm gonna zap these vines with some electricity." Mako said.
"Maybe you didn't hear me. That will make the vines explode." Bolin said.
"Exactly. This is our only way of shutting this thing down and hopefully with Kuvira." Mako said.
"But..." Bolin tried to say.
"Don't argue with me just go." Mako said.
Sean and Korra fought Kuvira with everything she had before she started using black liquid metal to attack them but Sean used the Shield of Helios to block her attacks while Korra metal bended it away before using airbending on her making her growl.
"This needs to end now! You've lost. Without your super weapon you can't win." Korra said.
"SHUT UP!" Kuvira roared as she attacked them with her blades but they dodged with ease before Sean pulled out the Bow of Apollo and hit her in the shoulder making her growl in pain as she slashed him in the chest making him grunt before throwing a piece of wall at her with quick speeds making her crash into the wall.
Mako after Bolin got the others out of the room used lightning bending to strike the vines before everything started exploding from the inside out before he yelled as his arm was injured before he tried to get out but got hit as he was near the exit.
Thankfully Bolin came back and pulled him down just as the vine started going critical.
Kuvira grunted as Sean stood over her with her blades in hand before breaking them in half making her growl.
"It's over Kuvira." Korra said before the whole place shook.
"Oh shit thats not good!" Sean said as the Giant Exploded making the top half fly in the air.
Sean stabbed his blades on the ground and held his wife close.
"AHHHH!" Korra screamed before they crashed down.
Mako and Bolin were alive but knocked out from the crash.
The control room exploded as Sean and Korra came out with the former holding Kuvira who grunted before he dropped her.
"It's over Kuvira. Your gonna call of your monsters and surrender to Baldur." Korra said before Kuvira pulled back one of her blades before stabbing Sean in the abdomen making him grunt in pain as he dropped to his knees as Korra rushed to him while Kuvira ran away.
"I'll be fine! Don't Let her get away! GO!" Sean yelled as she ran after her.
"Your gonna pay for that!" Korra yelled. "This madness needs to end now!" Korra yelled.
"If you really want it to end, then come and get me!" Kuvira yelled out making her follow as she arrived in the forest before gasping seeing Kuvira's weapon. "Now it's over!' Kuvira yelled firing it but Korra dodged.
However the whole place started to glow before spinning Kuvira around.
"Shut it down!" Korra yelled which she did try to do.
"I CAN'T!" Kuvira yelled before she was thrown off making her grunt before looking up and gasped seeing her weapon coming right at her.
However Korra got in the way and activated the Avatar state to shield them both.
Thats when a large explosion occurred that went a large distance.
Sean quickly took cover avoiding the blast.
"What the hell?" Sean asked before it pulled back before a bright light went to the sky. "A new spirit portal?" Sean asked himself before using fire to seal his wounds making him grunt in pain before rushing to find Korra.
Arriving at the portal he found nothing but spirit vines.
"Korra? KORRA!" Sean yelled.
Meanwhile
Korra slowly opened her eyes finding herself in blue energy before seeing her husband's in red energy before it turned to Kuvira.
Both slowly floated down before Kuvira collapsed into Korra's arms.
Slowly she woke up before gasping as she got away from her.
"Where are we? Are we dead?" Kuvira asked.
"No. We're okay, but we're in the spirit world. All the Energy from your weapon tore open a new portal and blasted us in here." Korra said making her frown.
"Why would you save my life? After everything I did to you?" Kuvira asked.
"Because your a lot like Sean was in his younger years. He would say the same thing. You both have made mistakes." Korra said.
"He and I are nothing alike." Kuvira said making her scoff.
"Really? You both conquered your homes and both of you served Ares. Only difference between you two is he abandoned him after..." Korra tried to say.
"After what! Because he got everything he ever needed from him and then suddenly decided to change! He's nothing but a coward!" Kuvira yelled.
"Is that what he told you? Or what you assume? You said you studied his history. You have to know what he did was wrong and you did everything exactly the same." Korra said.
"All I know is at one point he left Ares and he brought me back from Death. Unlike him nothing held me back!" Kuvira yelled.
"Kuvira...Do you even know why Sean really abandoned Ares?" Korra asked.
"What difference does it make!" Kuvira yelled.
"Kuvira...Ares tricked Sean into murdering his entire family." Korra said shocking her.
"He...What are you talking about. Ares said..." Kuvira tried to say.
"You can never believe a word from him. Now Sean and his family had a lot of issues because of the choices he made and willingly I might add. But he always loved them. Especially his little sister who we named my second daughter after. He never got the chance to tell them that other than her. Ares tricked him into killing them by covering the temple in a mist that blinded him. When the mist cleared...He regretted everything he ever did." Korra said making her eyes widen.
"I...I didn't..." Kuvira tried to say.
"Didn't know? Did you even bother to read his full history at all? After that day he swore never to walk that path again. Zeus revealed himself as his father and trained him along with every other God on Olympus. He changed everyone around him. Asgard used to be no different than Ares and he changed them for the better. He changed the world because he changed. I wouldn't be who I am if It wasn't for him." Korra said before sitting down next to her. "But not a day went by where he didn't wish he could take it all back. And he would have done anything to fix his mistakes." Korra said making Kuvira look down. "Still some good things came after those mistakes. He and I got married and had four beautiful children. And he finally forgave himself 400 years later." Korra said smiling lightly.
Meanwhile
Sean looked everywhere for his wife as the others appeared.
"Sean? Wheres Korra?" Tenzin asked.
"I don't..." Sean tried to say before the spirts came from the new portal.
"The spirits have returned." Tenzin said before Korra and Kuvira came from the portal.
"There they are." Asami said as Sean rushed to his wife making her smile.
"You ok?" Sean asked.
"Yeah...I'm fine." Korra said holding him close.
"Kruger." Kuvira said gaining his attention. "I am truly sorry for everything I...AHHHH!" Kuvira screamed in agonizing pain as she held her neck.
"Whoa what the hell?" Reznov asked before Sean saw a mark on her neck making him widen his eyes.
"OH GODDAMNIT!" Sean yelled moving to restrain her. "ARES YOU FUCK!" Sean yelled before something was heard cracking making them look up seeing the sky began to crack apart.
"The sky is cracking?" Ikki asked.
"No! Not the sky. A barrier thats meant to..." Sean tried to say before something completely shattered over the four nations.
"Oh no." Turok said alarmed as Kuvira breathed heavily before the mark on her face and body vanished.
"What...The hell was that!" Kuvira asked as Suyin helped her up.
Thats when they heard an all to familiar cruel laughter.
Everyone looked up seeing the God of war coming through before landing on top of what remained of Kuvira's giant.
"AT LAST! The four nations are officially mine to conquer!" Ares laughed.
"You...Used me!" Kuvira yelled.
"I did. No strings attached? How pathetic are you mortals? And the best part is Zeus can do nothing since Gods are forbidden from waging war on each other. Which means the four nations are mine to do as I please! And its all thanks to you Kuvira." Ares said before destroying a building and laughed as he moved through the city.
"That seal on her neck was meant to destroy a barrier that prevents Ares from physically entering the four nations. The first time he got through was when he used Cronos. The second time it was lowered to help Fight Vaatu. But now it's completely shattered." Sean said.
"Can't your father do anything to stop him?" Suyin asked.
"The gods Of Olympus are forbidden from waging war on each other. If he was on Olympus that would be a different story." Sean said.
"We're wounded here. Theres no way we can fight him at that size." Reznov said.
"There is another way." Sean said gaining their attention. "Pandora's box." Sean said.
"I thought it was on Olympus." Korra said.
"No. It's here in the four nations in a temple underwater. Only a half god is allowed to enter the temple and retrieve the box. Thats why my father sent me to bring it back from Pandora's temple. This new idea had less risk." Sean said.
"Lets go find it then." Turok said.
"I know where it is. You all will try to keep Ares from destroying the city with what forces we have left. I'm going for the box." Sean said.
"Please be careful." Korra said kissing him.
"Don't worry. Lets get this done." Sean said before flying away.
Sean soon arrived on Air temple island about to use his magic to summon the temple.
Thats when he heard someone laughing making him pull out his blades before some old man came out of a hole.
"Good my boy...Good. The Gods have trained you well. Republic City may yet stand after all." The old man said.
"Who the hell are you?" Sean asked confused.
"You have the blades. The Mark of blood of your family. You are the one indeed who will bring this world out of endless years of war and pointless death. But be careful. Don't want you dying before I'm finished with this grave." The old man said still digging.
"A grave? In the middle of a war? Who would occupy it old man?" Sean asked.
"You will my son. Oh I've got a lot of digging to do indeed." The Old man said making him raise an eyebrow.
"Look I don't have any intentions of dying twice. So..." Sean tried to say but he just chuckled.
"All will be revealed in time Kruger. And when all appears to be lost. I will be there to help." The old man said making him confused before shaking his head.
"Whatever." Sean said before using his magic to summon the temple.
Rising from the depths of the sea the temple rose before it stopped rising just a couple miles away from Air temple island.
Flying to the island he quickly landed before heading inside.
The temple was constructed by the Giants shortly after the alliance between the Norse gods and Greek gods began to help build trust.
Walking into the center of the room he pulled a lever before taking him upwards.
Sighing he arrived at the room he needed to go before finding Pandora's box.
"I haven't seen this in many years." Sean said touching it before the image of his father appeared.
"It is time for you to finally end the cause of so much needless war and death my son. To Avenge your family and to bring order to this world." Zeus said making him nod before pushing the box back to the lift.
Arriving back down he began to push it outside.
Ares roared as he destroyed a building before it came crashing down on several warriors before he was about to strike again only to stop in his tracks.
"Why'd he stop?" Lin asked.
"So little Spartan. You've recovered Zeus's precious box. But you will not live long enough to see it open." Ares said as the ground turned into a sharp pillar. "I will see to that." Ares said throwing it.
Korra however widened her eyes knowing what he was doing.
"Good bye Spartan. You will rot in the Depths of Hades once more for all eternity." Ares said.
Sean heard a whistling sound before widening his eyes as the pillar pierced him to a wall.
Korra gasped as she fell to her knees.
"Korra?" Asami asked holding her close as she began to cry.
"Not...Not again." Korra sobbed making her eyes widen in realization.
Sean shuddered as he tried to push the pillar off him but saw Ares's harpies grab the box before the life in Sean's eyes left him before going limp before his body vanished.
Sean fell into the underworld of his uncle's domain down to the River Styx.
But Sean had no intention of leaving his family twice. He would make sure he would escape once more on his own.
Coming to a bone ledge Sean grabbed onto someone who was trying to climb up.
"LET GO FOOL! YOU WON'T DRAG ME DOWN TO THE CURSED RIVER!"
Sean pulled out one of his blades.
"There is a task left for me above." Sean said stabbing him making him groan in pain as Sean climbed up top of him. "And I will see it completed." Sean said about to walk away when he grabbed his leg making him look back before widening his eyes. "Oh you gotta be kidding me!" Sean laughed.
The person in question was Raiko who had been holding on for his life for the last year. His torture would only begin when he entered the River Styx.
"YOU AGAIN DEMON!" Raiko yelled.
"Have you seriously been holding on here for almost a year? Wow I'm actually impressed." Sean said.
"PULL ME UP! PLEASE!" Raiko begged.
"Ok fine. But only because you said please." Sean said pulling him up.
"Oh thank you I..." Raiko tried to say before Sean dropped him. "AHHHH!" Raiko screamed as he fell to the River Styx where soon he would be tortured in the Depths of Tartarus for all eternity because of the mark of the damned. (To Sora if you really want to know what the symbol looks like which really isn't important picture a symbol of Tartarus)
"YOU DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT DROPPING YOU!" Sean laughed.
Fighting his way through several of underworld monsters Sean came to a platform before an anchor was dropped down in front of him with a rope attached making him raise an eyebrow before climbing all the way up.
When he reached the top he found himself back on Air temple island where the old man finished digging before Sean jumped in front of him.
"Ah Kruger. And not a moment too soon. I only just finished digging a moment ago." The old man said.
"Who are you?" Sean asked.
"Funny you would think you would recognize the man you were named after." The old man said shocking him seeing this was the person his mother named him after.
"But..." Sean tried to say.
"For people like me Death is only the beginning. I have watched for a long time now." The old man said before the ground shook. "But never mind that now. Your family needs you more than ever." He said before vanishing making Sean narrow his eyes.
Korra held her children as Ares had everyone captured from all the lands even her own parents.
"ZEUS! DO YOU SEE NOW WHAT YOUR SON CAN DO! YOU CAST YOUR FAITH ON KRUGER BUT HE IS NOW DEAD BY MY HANDS!" Ares yelled to the skies making Korra cry as she held her daughters. "AND NOW EVEN PANDORA'S BOX IS MINE! WOULD YOU HAVE ME USE IT AGAINST OLYMPUS ITSELF!" Ares roared.
"You always celebrate too soon."
Ares and everyone turned and saw Sean at the docks alive glaring at him.
"Sean?" Korra said in shock he was alive again.
"Kruger? Returned from Death a second time. You never cease to impress." Ares said making him scoff.
"I think you'll find a man with cause can be stronger than a god." Sean said.
"Absurd. IS THIS THE BEST YOU CAN DO FATHER! YOU SEND A BROKEN HALF GOD TO DEFEAT ME! THE GOD OF WAR!" Ares yelled as Sean created a thunder bolt before firing at the chain that held Pandora's box making it break before falling down before Sean's Chain wrapped around it before pulling it to him before Sean pushed it open.
After ten thousand years Pandora's box was finally open.
Sean was engulfed in blue energy as he grew to the same size as Ares.
The power of the Gods unleashed.
"You are still just a mere mortal. Every bit as weak as the day you begged me to save your life." Ares said glaring at him.
"I am far from the same selfish man you found that day." Sean said taking out his blades. "The monster you created 400 years ago has returned...To kill you." Sean said glaring at him.
"You have no idea what a true monster is, Kruger!" Ares yelled before bladed claws came out of his back with flames on them. "Your final lesson is that hand!" Ares yelled before charging at him.
Sean quickly dodged before wrapping a chain around him before pulling him into the air before slamming him down in the water hard making him growl.
"PREPARE TO JOIN YOUR FAMILY SPARTAN!" Ares yelled using his sword to slash him but Sean used his blades to block him.
While this was going on Turok quickly turned into a giant Snake before striking away the monsters that held them hostage before freeing Jinora.
"Free the others." Turok said before striking more monsters.
Sean roared as he summoned the Trident before a wave of water attacked Ares making him roar as he was washed away before jumping up to strike him but Sean used the blade of Artemis to block him.
"REPENT! YOU HAVE ALREADY LOST SPARTAN!" Ares roared before yelling as Sean blasted him with lightning before using the Nemean Cestus to attack Ares.
Jinora quickly freed Korra who used her fire bending to force the monsters away from her children.
"I lost everything 400 years ago! I will not lose it again to a coward who sends others to do his dirty work!" Sean yelled slashing Ares making him growl before trying to strike him with his claws but Sean dodged before summoning the Nemesis whip and struck Ares several times making him roar in rage before blasting him away.
Tenzin quickly uses his airbending sending Ares's monsters into the air before Reznov blasted them with lightning killing them instantly.
Sean roared as he summoned the Spear of Destiny before striking Ares multiple times before jumping up and grabbed his claws before stabbing him with them making Ares roar in pain.
"ENOUGH!" Ares roared before creating a portal that sucked them both in.
"What the?" Lin said.
"Where did they?" Korra tried to say before a sphere appeared Showing Sean falling appeared.
"I have taught you many ways how to Kill a mortal, Kruger. Flesh that burns, bones that break, but to break a man's spirit, is to truly destroy him!" Ares yelled as Sean landed down on the ground in front of a temple he was all to familiar with.
"Oh no." Korra said recognizing it.
"Do you recognize this place, Spartan? The location of your greatest failure. Perhaps there is a chance you can undo the deeds of the past." Ares said making Sean narrow his eyes approaching the temple.
Though Sean was no longer haunted by the nightmares of his past the very image of this place reminded him of all the terrible things he had done.
Sean kicked down the doors before he found two people he did not expect to see.
"Sean! Whats happening? Where are we?" Lysandra asked holding his sister close.
"By the gods! Can this be real?" Sean asked before copies of himself during his dark years came from the walls.
"Big brother!" Calliope yelled making him narrow his eyes.
"Ares! There is nothing you can do that will stand in my way! I will save my family!" Sean yelled.
With every ounce of power Sean had gained over the last 400 years Sean had done the impossible.
He had finally saved his family from the mistake of his past.
"Sean! Please take us home!" Lysandra said.
"Do you see God of War! You took them once! But you'll never have them again!" Sean yelled.
"You can't save them Kruger, You gave them up in your quest for ultimate power. There is a price to pay for everything you gained in those days." Ares said.
"Not that price. I never meant to hurt them." Sean said in regret.
"NO PRICE WAS TOO HIGH FOR WHAT I OFFERED!" Ares yelled as Sean grunted as the blades were taken away from him along with all his weapons. "BUT YOU REJECTED ME! A GOD! Now, you will have no power, No magic! All that is left for you, is DEATH!" Ares yelled as his blades ran right through his family shocking the others while Sean's daughter Calliope cried in her mother's arms.
"Shh." Korra said trying to calm her down.
"No. Not again." Sean said in defeat as he and Ares appeared in front of the others.
"You should have joined me, Kruger. You could have been stronger!" Ares said about to strike.
Sean looked around before seeing his statue holding the blade of Olympus.
"By the...Gods." Sean said before dodging Ares strike before grabbing the blade.
The battle was not yet over, the Gods had one final gift for Sean.
Sean pulled the blade out before glaring at Ares who growled.
"I still have Allies on Olympus Ares. Now you will just strong I am as a Man." Sean said before their blades clashed.
"YOU WERE NOTHING WHEN I FOUND YOU! YOU WILL BE LESS THAN NOTHING WHEN I'M FINISHED WITH YOU!" Ares roared before Sean punched him in the face before kneeing him hard before striking one of his claws off making Ares roar in pain.
"I was nothing yes. Not anymore." Sean said before striking Ares repeatedly making him grunt in pain as Sean continued to attack him.
Turok as a large Lion slashed through a large number of Ares remaining monsters before Jinora blew away the rest.
Thor roared as he used his hammer on the largest monsters.
Ares roared as Sean was gaining the edge in his battle before striking him in the shoulder making him growl before grabbing the claw and pulled it out making Ares roar in pain before Sean continued to attack him with his blade.
Kuvira used her metal bending to restrain several monsters before crushing them.
Ares was on his last legs before trying to stab Sean in the chest but he dodged before slashing down on his sword making it break apart much to Ares Shock before Sean punched him back.
"Remember Kruger, It was I who saved you, in your time of greatest need." Ares said.
"Oh don't pull that Bullshit on me. Your the one who sent those barbarians against me all those years ago knowing I would make that deal. You know there was a time I would have gladly served you for all eternity...If you hadn't crossed the line that night." Sean said glaring at him.
"That night." Ares said remembering what happened 400 years ago. "I was trying to make you a great warrior." Ares said.
"You succeeded." Sean said before stabbing him in the chest making him grunt in pain before Sean pulled back before Ares roared in pain before falling back into the ocean as his body glowed.
Sean had finally succeeded in his 400 year mission he set out long ago. He had avenged his family. Ares was no more.
Ares body suddenly exploded before the blast covered a large distance.
