Chapter 51 The End and a new beginning
Korra and the others looked for Sean after the Blast from Ares's dead corpse.
"Oh honey where are you?" Korra asked worried for her husband.
"Don't worry we'll find him." Tenzin said.
Thats when a chain wrapped around Korra's feet.
"WHAA!" Korra yelled as she was pulled up before coming face to face with her husband who chuckled.
"Now don't tell me this is not the best hello you've ever gotten." Sean said making her smile before pulling him into a kiss.
"EW!" The kids yelled disgusted making everyone laugh.
"Disgusting." Junior said.
"YUCK!" Atreus yelled making the parents laugh.
"Oh calm down. Just wait until you grow up." Sean said.
"Uh uh. If they get with anyone I'm gonna judge them." Korra said not having some fan girls as daughter in laws.
"Oh whatever. Oh Turok by the way. Isn't there something you wanna ask Tenzin?" Sean asked amused making him roll his eyes while Jinora grins at her boyfriend.
"Ask me what?" Tenzin asked.
"Uh. Any chance you would let me marry your daughter?" Turok asked shocking him while others laughed.
Sean and Korra snickered while the kids looked confused before Tenzin fainted while everyone else laughed their asses off.
"Daddy why did grandpa Tenzin faint?" Katara asked.
"Um. He actually did the same thing when your mother told him I proposed to her long before you and your brothers were even born. Some people just take it very differently." Sean said picking her up.
"Well, I think he'll say yes and you definitely have my approval." Pema said making Jinora cheer before kissing Turok who laughed. "But what brought this on?" Pema asked making them freeze.
"I told them to do it after the war was over. Figured they were ready. I mean I proposed to Korra when she was 18 and she's only two years younger then she was that day." Sean said not telling them why he really told them to do it.
"Oh. Ok." Pema said accepting that answer making the two sigh in relief.
"So how do you feel?" Korra asked making him smile.
"Finally at peace. My family is avenged. And now the world is finally at peace with his death. And I have you and the kids." Sean said making her smile before kissing him again.
"Oh this definitely calls for a celebration." Varrick said.
"None of your crap versions." Sean said making most laugh while he sulked as Zhu-Li giggled slightly.
3 days later
Sean couldn't stop grinning as Turok lifted the vail on top of Jinora's head before kissing her making the crowd cheer.
"Oh this is perfect." Sean said as Jinora threw the flowers before they landed in Opal's hands making her blush while looking at Bolin who grins making everyone laugh.
Thats when the reception finally started.
"So how does it feel knowing Jinora is your sister in law?" Reznov asked as Sean looked seeing his brother dance with his now official wife who looked beyond happy making him chuckle.
"Honestly I knew this was gonna happen one day." Sean said. "I remember when Turok first told me during one of his stand ups how he was gonna wait until she was old enough. I actually thought he was just joking." Sean said
"I think they work perfect together. One is connected to nature and physically strong the other is connected to spirits and mentally strong." Reznov said making Sean smile lightly.
"Why did you convince them to get married in the first place?" Julia asked making him snicker.
"Lets just say thats private information." Sean said.
"They were gonna have sex outside the city weren't they?" Reznov asked.
"Was it that obvious?" Sean asked raising an eyebrow.
"Well, look at them. They're both 16 in physical form and teenagers do shit like that. It wasn't that hard to see." Reznov said making him chuckle.
Thats when Sean noticed Korra looking at the city before he walked to her.
"I spoke with Baldur. Tomorrow, he's announcing a plan to expand the city rather than rebuild downtown." Sean said.
"I bet Aang never could've imagined There'd be a spirit portal right in the heart of Republic city." Korra said seeing the new portal.
"Korra, you've transformed the world more in a few years than any Avatar ever has in history. And that is something I'm proud of you for." Sean said making her smile.
"I know. But being immortal theres so much more I wanna do and learn." Korra said.
"And you will. We have all the time in the world now. And with Ares gone. The entire world is finally at peace. And I have you to thank for that. For giving me a reason to live. You and the kids." Sean said making her smile before kissing him.
"I was in a pretty dark place when you died the first time. But maybe it helped me become an even better Avatar suffering through a loss like that even if it was only for a couple hours. To help me be even more compassionate to others like Kuvira who made the same mistakes you did. And now she's learning from them while she serves out her sentence." Korra said.
"Sometimes the worst experiences help us become better along the way. Look at both of us." Sean said making her smile. "You wanna see something real quick?" Sean asked.
"Sure." Korra said before he took out an orb before they vanished.
Thats when they reappeared in the South Pole.
"Wait why are we..." Korra tried to ask before she heard an all too familiar laughter making her see they were on a cliff before seeing her four year old self playing with Sean who looked amused before using snow magic to bury her making her laugh.
Korra could only smile.
"It's funny. I always thought my job would only be to protect you. Now look at us almost 20 years later. Married and four children." Sean said holding her close making her smile more before her younger self tackled Sean down who laughed as he held her close as Spyro walked to them before Sean jumped on his head as they looked at the stars.
"Yeah. I always thought you would just be someone important in my life." Korra said before seeing Katara watching them in amusment making her smile before turning to face her husband and kissed him. "I love you." Korra said he held her.
"I love you too Korra." Sean said before they vanished just as the younger Sean turned to the cliff but saw nothing.
"What?" Korra asked.
"Ah nothing." Sean said holding her close as they watched the stars.
When they reappeared back on the island.
"You know...I can't help but wonder what might have happened if we never met the way we did. Raava told me we were always meant to but..." Korra tried to say but he kissed her making her close her eyes.
"What was originally supposed to happen or another way doesn't matter. We did meet and here we are now. Thats all I care about." Sean said making her smile as she held him close.
Walking back to the party they saw Turok and Jinora dancing.
"You know another thought just occurred to me. Everyone keeps saying you had some great destiny that Ares tried to prevent. Was it to kill him?" Korra asked.
"Not even close." Zeus said appearing before them along with every god of Olympus.
"Ok enough games. Whats this great destiny I'm supposed to have?" Sean asked.
"To take our place as the next God Of Olympus." Zeus said shocking everyone even Sean and Korra.
"Wait. What do you mean Our Place? Doesn't just mean yours." Sean asked his father.
"No. Our time as rulers of Olympus in every domain of the lands of Greece has come to an end. It is time for you to take our place as a whole." Zeus said.
"But...That would incline I'm to rule not just Greece or Olympus but the Seas and the Underworld." Sean said.
"Exactly. Ares found out about your destiny long ago. He could not accept that his time as the God of war would come to an end and tried to prevent it at all costs by breaking sacred laws we put into place. But nothing worked. He simply could not accept his time was coming to a close." Athena said.
"Thats why he tried to kill my mother before I was born." Sean said.
"Our time has come to a close which we've all accepted long ago. Yours however never will. It is time for you...To become a full fledged god with the responsibilities we have done for 10,000 years." Zeus said placing his hand on his forehead before it glowed. "I have always been proud of you my son. You will do greater things than even I have ever accomplished." Zeus said before he and the Gods Of Olympus turned to glowing dust shocking everyone before it surrounded Sean's body before he was placed in a glowing silver armor. (Picture the armor Zeus wore in Clash of the Titans 2010 movie)
Sean fell to his knee before Korra rushed to him.
"Are you ok?" Korra asked.
"Yeah...Thats just a lot to take in." Sean said.
Later
Sean and Korra sighed as they looked at their home they had lived in for years that once used to belong to Tarrlok.
"I'm gonna miss this place." Korra said.
"We can always come back when we feel like taking a small break." Sean said making her smile.
"So...How do you feel...Being the new God of Olympus?" Korra asked.
"It's gonna take some time but...I'll adjust...Besides I won't do it alone." Sean said before touching her forehead before it glowed making her smile as she held him.
"I'm so proud of you." Korra said making him smile.
Soon the two got everything they needed before heading outside where the kids waited with Turok and Jinora.
"Where are we going?" Katara asked as Turok held his youngest niece.
"Back home where we lived long before you four were ever born. Trust me you'll love it there." Turok said holding his wife close who smiled.
"Where Tenzin and the others?" Korra asked.
"Making sure everything is perfect before they leave. Since they are coming with to be advisors." Jinora said. Sean had also made his new family immortal knowing he would need guidance for a time and did not want to lose them or have his children grow up without their grandparents on their mother's side.
Thats when everyone finally arrived.
"We finally ready?" Tonraq asked.
"Yeah...Lets go home." Sean said before a bolt of lightning struck them.
All of them appeared on Olympus before the kids ran off.
"Don't go running off." Senna said keeping an eye on them.
Sean chuckled guessing the kids were gonna love it here.
"You know...Theres one bonus to all of this." Sean said.
"And whats that?" Korra asked.
"Aphrodite is finally gone." Sean said making her burst out laughing. "No more of her whores ever again." Sean said pleased before he approached his father's throne before he sat down in it making Korra giggle. "What?" Sean asked before she sat down on his side.
"I think I can see some perks to ruling here." Korra said making him chuckle in amusement before he kissed her.
Epilogue 5 years later
After defeating Ares. Sean the once half god and son of Zeus became the new God of Olympus.
But Sean did things far differently than his father and grandfather Cronos.
Instead of just focusing on the lands of Greece he had focused on the other lands of Earth as well.
In order to bring about the new age of peace and unity far faster he had with the help of the other gods from other lands decided to purge every cruel and tyrannical leader in the world.
Leading this new joint army were the warriors of Sparta who were currently leading an assault in the lands of Persia where a new King who fancied himself similar to Xerxes was preparing his forces to conquer the four nations which had in five years become a beacon of hope to the world.
Sean right now headed to a pool of yellow liquid before the image of his forces destroying the new Persian empire appeared.
"MY LORD, KRUGER! The Persian empire is ready to Fall! Soon all who seek war will be vanquished!" A Spartan General said.
"Hmm." Sean said about to leave when Asami approached him.
"Your leaving? Korra looks like she'a about to go into labor." Asami said making him frown.
Korra was once more pregnant with their fifth child.
During the last five years Korra had mastered all of her abilities better than any other Avatar before her. She had helped him create the world he had long sought to create. And of course with her position as a new god of Olympus she could spend all the time she wanted with their children.
"This will only take me a minute. I have no intentions of missing a birth of any of my children." Sean said moving to defeat the Persians.
Sean had rarely gone into battle since the Death of Ares but in circumstances like this he knew he needed to get involved.
Walking to a ledge he fell to the domain of Persia.
While Sean had faith his forces could accomplish this task he wanted as few casualties on his side as possible.
As the battle escalated greatly an explosion at the palace was seen before Sean appeared before smashing his way through the Persians who tried to attack him but failed due to his size.
The King of Persia growled in rage as Sean approached him.
"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM! I AM THE KING OF KINGS! AND SOON TO BE THE GOD OF GODS! AND BY THAT RIGHT I DEMAND!"
Sean just smashed him with his fist ending him in a second before taking out the blade of Olympus before creating a wave of power that destroyed most of Persia's army with ease.
"Secure the city. My work here is done." Sean said before vanishing.
Appearing once more on Olympus Sean made it to the healing room seeing his wife being tended by the very best on Olympus.
"Your back." Korra said smiling as he sat next to her.
"You know I would never miss these moments for anything." Sean said kissing her forehead making her smile before yelling as she was about to deliver.
"Ugh! After doing this two times before you would think I developed a tolerance to pain." Korra said making him chuckle.
"I don't think it works that way." Sean said.
Korra started breathing heavily before screaming loudly.
"AHHHHH!" Korra screamed before soft crying was heard before the healers took her fifth child away to clean it up.
"Honestly how many kids do you want?" Sean asked making her smile before kissing him.
"Maybe just a few more." Korra said making him chuckle before the baby was brought in a blue blanket showing it was a boy.
Korra smiled looking at her youngest son. He had his father's white skin and her hair before he opened his eyes showing a set of brown eyes like his grandmother on his father's side.
"He'a beautiful." Korra said kissing his forehead making him laugh.
Thats when the oldest walked in.
"Hi." Katara and Calliope said waving making their new brother giggle.
"And we outnumber you two." Junior said making them stick their tongues out.
"Until mommy wants another." Calliope.
"Which will most likely happen." Korra said.
"Whats his name?" Atreus asked making the parent smile looking at their youngest son.
"Deimos Kruger. Named after your uncle who gave his heart to save your father before you three were even born." Korra said kissing the now named Deimos who yawned in his mother's arms making her smile.
Sean could only smile looking at his wife and his children and newborn son. He would make sure this world would be perfect for them no matter what.
The Legend of Achilles had come to pass. The world would soon be at perfect peace and his family would always be safe with him.
Through all the suffering Sean endured for 300 years it had made him into the god he was today.
A god who would bring an Era of unending peace and justice to all.
Later
Sean sat on his throne with his wife as she held their newborn son who snored lightly in his sleep making them smile lightly. Naga was also right next to them sleeping peacefully.
"Five kids. Seriously." Turok said with his wife next to him who also had an infant in her arms that was a month old. Jinora smiled kissing her daughter Catori which in Turok's language meant Spirit. She had her mother's skin and hair but had her father's dark blue eyes.
"I have no issues with having a large number of kids. Don't tell me Catori is the only kid you two will have." Sean said.
"Hardly. I'm thinking at least 3 at best." Jinora said as her daughter yawned in her sleep.
"The Persian empire surrendered without conditions. The Athenians are being sent into to run the place until a proper leader is put on the throne." Turok said.
"Good." Sean said before looking at his youngest son. "The days of people like the Earth Queen and Raiko are coming to a close." Sean said.
Under Sean's leadership and the continued support of his allies the world would soon be at peace.
And no one would cause another pointless war when that day occurred.
And Sean's children when they were older would insure his dream of unending peace came true.
Authors Note: And with that...The Avatar's protector has finally ended. I'm really sad here I really loved this story since it was just perfect. I'm sad to see it end but oh well. Now once the new year finally begins I can upload my new story...The Avatars of Old. Now I can focus on my other stories again like A savior created by the Gods and some others.
