Izuku finally turned off his phone and closed his bleary eyes. The day had been exhausting, but all the days now were, and they were slowly becoming less torturous and started to feel like he was actually training, and not being tortured for some inhuman crime he had committed in Kachhan's eyes.

Which he had just done now.

By staying up late.

And therefore not taking care of himself.

To distract himself from his upcoming doom, he thought back to the conversation he just had on the server.

It had been entertaining, and it had been really fun to think up different names for All Might, but something had been off for one of their midnight talks.

He tried to think who was and wasn't there; Lawful had been there (and cursed for once, which had been new, but funny, not weird). Theorist had been there too, ready to talk heroes with anyone who asked (which was usually Izuku himself, when he dared). 2am was there to make them all go to sleep at 2am as usual, even though he always had a hard time with-

And it suddenly hit him.

Sleepy hadn't been there.

That instantly made him curious, since Sleepy had admitted to being an insomniac, and was a constant part of the "2am group" as they were frequently called.

He wondered what had made Sleepy not come today; Maybe he was busy playing a game, or maybe on another server or maybe-

Izuku yawned widely.

Whatever the reason, he thought, it could wait for tomorrow.

Izuku scrambled out of bed to get dressed. Unfortunately for him, Kacchan does know what he looks like, and to him, an "or else" from Kacchan is a lot scarier to Izuku than to strangers.

He ran into the kitchen, grabbing a bit of food for a quick breakfast.

"Why the rush Izuku? Isn't your training with Katsuki in an hour?" asked Inko from the living room, where she was on a call with Hisashi.

"Yeah Izu, what's up?" Hisashi asked

"Oh, um, well, we just decided to do it earlier for once, you know, "the early bird gets the worm""

Both his parents gave him a disappointed look; Inko like she was disappointed that he tried to lie, and Hisashi like he was disappointed that it had been so bad.

"It's punishment for staying up too late, isn't it?" Said Inko.

"What? Nooooo. You know me, I'm super responsible with my sleep schedule"

"Izu, I can see your eye bags from here."

"Oh, would you look at that! I have to run or else I'll be late for tortu- I mean training! Bye! I love you guys!"

Izuku was breathless by the time he reached the beach.

By now he could have run there and still be able to run some more, but now he'd sprinted to get there on time. He didn't want to find out what Kacchan would make him do if he had stayed up late and didn't get to the beach on time.

Kacchan, of course, was waiting there for him, with a smirk on his face.

"You look pretty winded. If only you had more time to get here."

Izuku glared up at him.

"You're a jerk, you know that?"

Kacchan smirked wider.

"And you don't know how to take care of yourself, what's new?"

"...I got four hours this time?"

"Wrong answer. Let's start."

They spent the next hour doing exercises, as usual, bickering now and then, but not really talking about anything new until they took a break.

"Hey, Kacchan, what do you think of anyone joining us for these training sessions?"

"I'd say that if it's anyone from our school you can think again. Those fuckers can try as much as they want and never make it to being actual heroes."

"Well, maybe not all of them? Like, there are a few with good quirks that have some potential if they actually tried and-"

"You're getting off-topic, Izu. Why'd you want to know?"

"Well, I was thinking, since soon it'll be our last summer vacation before the UA entrance exam, and we'll have a lot of time to do training then, maybe we could ask on the server if anyone wanted to join us, you know, since quite a lot of people there are working to be pro-heroes."

A thoughtful look crossed Kacchan's face.

"Well, I guess we could. But they have to accept me being in charge."

"I could help be in-"

"Don't you dare say "in charge", you'd probably tell them to keep on exercising until their bones ached and then tell them it's fine to come back the next day with one hour of sleep."

"No I wouldn't!"

"Then why do you do that?"

Izuku opened his mouth, paused, closed it, and then looked just the least bit ashamed.

"...It's not like I'm the one making me do all the exercises."

"What was that, Izu?"

"Nothing! Why don't we get on with the training?"

Izuku jumped back from Kacchan's open palm just as he saw Kacchan twitch it and it exploded. It never ceased to wonder Izuku how minute it was and how barely anyone else notices it-

And jumped back a second time as kacchan did it again.

"Focus, Izu."

Izuku took a deep breath, and focused.

He stood back in range, and they were at it again; dancing around each other, Izuku looking for openings in Kacchan's defense, and Kacchan keeping up a constant offense to tire out Izuku and prevent him from ever getting a chance. Kacchan was a true believer in the phrase "the best defense is a good offense".

Kacchan had the directly offensive quirk between the two of them, but Izuku could use his to find openings. The only problem for him is capitalizing on those openings without getting exploded.

As if to demonstrate to himself this fact, Izuku attempts to punch Kacchan in the stomach but gets an explosion to his arm for his troubles.

They stop after a bit, once they're both drenched in sweat and Kacchan's explosions start getting a bit hard to control to the point of not hurting Izuku badly.

They sit on an old fridge, drinking from water bottles while Kacchan is also washing off the rest of the "explody-sweat" (They had been very creative as kids) that was left on his palms.

"Ugggghh, I feel like I'm going to collapse. Why do you have to do this to me, Kacchan?"

"Why do you do this to yourself?"

"I don't know, Past Me was stupid."

"And Present You isn't just as much? And so will Future You be tonight when you stay up debating Hero theories with Theorist and Arson till 3 am?"

"...No comment."

Kacchan let out a bark of laughter.

"I promise you Izu, you literally just have to sleep more and it gets better than how it is for you now."

"I know, but, It's just so much fun being with them and talking with them, I just can't help it."

They sat there in a moment of contemplation.

"Then maybe you should go ahead and ask some of them to join us here."

Izuku's eyes lit up.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah, if only it'll make you go to sleep at a healthier time. If they're here, you have less excuses to stay up late."

"Well, technically, I can still stay up-"

"Do that and I revoke your invite privileges, and it'll be just back to me and you."

"Fine. I'll do it."

"Good."

Another moment of silence.

"I can also help with-"

"Godamn it Izu you'd kill them and be happy about it."
