Answer to the Vegas writing challenge posted by Charmed Millie and Captain Sigma.

I hope I did your challenge justice. I am not a very good writer, but after 3 years of not writing anything, I decided to give it a try. Not my finest work, but having written this in less than 5 hours I am impressed with how it turned out.

What Happens in Vegas, Ends in Vegas

Kara and Alex were walking inside their hotel and chatting randomly. They went to the reception and got checked in. After they settled in the room, they took a look through the window at the city that never sleeps. First thing that Kara asked was when were they going to get food.

"Of all the things to ask about in this city your first question was about food", laughingly replied Alex.

"I cant help it, I'm hungry" whined Kara.

" Okay, we are going, I know just the place. Best pizza in town. And of course we'll get some dessert too. But tonight we are going clubbing, there is an alien bar that I have to check out anyway, and we better get that out of the way first and then we can enjoy our vacation", replied Alex and after a few minutes of getting ready they went out.

Barry, Oliver and Sara were getting inside their hotel all immersed in their conversation. They were all laughing were enjoying each other's company. After checking in they went to their separate rooms and decided to meet in the lobby in 20 mins so they can go and explore the city.

After meeting in the lobby they left the hotel to have some fun. They stopped at various places to try some local food, much to Barry's delight. When they finished eating they decided to go clubbing. Oliver being a playboy had the most experience going clubbing, but Sarah was not lacking in that department as well. Barry on the other hand was very green.

They decided to go in one not so famous bar but were surprised when the bouncer asked for a password. They didn't know it, but Oliver slipped the guard a few bills and he let them in telling them on the way that they were in for a big surprise.

Kara and Alex went to the same bar as the other group, but they didn't have a problem getting in, they said the password and were allowed to enter. Kara and Alex got their drinks and went to find a free table, but were unable to, and were looking around to find a place to stand.

Oliver, Barry and Sara saw them and they decided to invite Kara and Alex to their table. Alex and Kara were reluctant at first, but in the end they wanted to have a good time and decided to join them.

Oliver came to stand between Alex and Kara and tried to start a conversation with Alex, but she merely rolled her eyes. Sara saw this exchange and was smirking, waiting for and opportunity.

All of them were casually conversing, the drinks kept coming, they became really comfortable with each other. After a while Kara decided to go up to the bartender and order something stronger. She decided on some Alien alcohol that didn't have an English word, but it looked like a cocktail. Barry came up to her and ordered the same drink, trying to be bold, but Kara just stared at him with her mouth open. "It's okay, I can hold my liquor", took the glass, said cheers and took a sip, then made a face."Uugghhh, this thing is strong, what's in it?" asked Barry. "If I tell you, you wouldn't believe me", replied Kara. "Should we go back to the table", asked Kara. "Well, if you want to, but I like your company better. Besides I've had it enough of babysitting Oliver and Sara, they are grown ups, and they can make their own decisions". Kara looked at the table the others were staying at and to her it looked like Alex had had enough of Oliver trying to flirt with her and was about to let him down not so gently, so Kara just shook her head and continued to talk with Barry.

They were talking, drinking heavily, and just enjoying each other's company. They were so immersed in their conversation that they didn't notice Sara and Alex leaving together, or Oliver leaving with some random girl he picked up in here.

The next morning Kara opened her eyes up, she was hung over, sat up, and looked around. After a few seconds it dawned on her that she wasn't in her room, and finally noticed someone in the bed next to her. She shook him, and when he turned around it was Barry.

After coming to his senses he tried to sit up, but his head was pounding and he put it in his hands. "Are you ok" Kara asked softly, but her voice was raspy. "Yeah, well at least I will be. It will pass quickly", replied Barry.

"What happened last night? All I remember is we were drinking and laughing, and having a good time. How much did we drink? ", asked Barry. "Apparently we drank a lot, because I can't remember the last time I felt like this. I don't even remember how we ended up here.", replied Kara. First Kara, then Barry went to the bathroom to wash up, and while Kara was gathering her things she found a piece of paper, and when she turned it around it was a marriage certificate. "Barry, come over her", she yelled and Barry quickly came out of the bathroom. "What is it? What happened? ", asked Barry, but Kara was still in shock she just gave him the paper. Barry took the paper and started to read it. When he read it, he looked up to see Kara's face. She was still shocked but was coming to her senses. "Okay, this is what we are going to do. We'll go to this chapel and we'll ask to annul this marriage, it clearly is a mistake. We met less than 12 hours ago, we can't be married" said Kara. Barry was a bit taken aback but agreed with her.

They went to the chapel, got the annulment papers, and decided to text their friends to meet them. Barry and Kara decided not to tell them about the marriage part, to keep that a secret. When they got to the café they were meeting in, Oliver, Sara and Alex were already there, having arrived before them. They all said what they were doing the night before and Alex and Sara admitted to hooking up, Oliver just mumbled "that is why she was not into me", and everyone laughed. When they were leaving they decided to exchange numbers to keep in contact.

Funny how neither Barry nor Kara knew that that one night will change their lives forever. Soon after returning to their respective cities, they decided to try dating each other. It turned out to be the best decision ever made for both of them. After deciding that they trust each other well enough they told their secrets about being Supergirl and Flash. When they got engaged, they both had only one place in mind where they wanted to get married – Las Vegas, the place where it all began.
