Dark clouds passing the distant from an early morning rain, the large blurred orange orb of a sun rising over the Hokage mountain. Today is

going to be a terrible day..

Brushing silver hair out of onyx eyes I followed the muddied dirt part away from the gradually brightening glimmer of light extending from

the village hidden in the leaves. Training was going to start soon... rather in a few hours. Sensei had said to be there at noon. Hiking the

large black bag further up my back I scanned the surrounding brush.

"Hey, Mutsuko! Where are you going?"

I looked back blankly…. Yuuma-sensei..

"Ah, you've gotten up early for once in your life."

"That's not nice Suko-chan..~ I can get up early once in awhile."

Hearing the annoying pet name the lazy sensei had come up for me I immediately turned around and proceeded to walk ignoring him.

"Listen to your sensei for once Suko-chan..~"

How shall I torment this male for the rest of his existence…. I turned around annoyed, "Yes, sensei….?"

"The Hokage wants to see you today. You can join the training after."

For once he wasn't joking but… the Hokage? "Why does the Hokage wish to see me?"

"Hmmm? Will you not go without a reason?"

How this man managed to become a leader of a platoon of genin is beyond me. Violent and flippant… and overall annoying… "I would, but I

simply would rather not go without knowing what to expect."

"I don't believe you are in trouble Mutsuko. But, I was not informed of what this meeting was about. Hokage-sama asked for me to join you

but the rest of the platoon would then need to be informed of my absence."

Proceeding an exasperated sigh I said, "If you have to be in both places send a clone to training… It would be rather disrespectful to send a

clone to meet the Hokage."

I blinked and Yuuma-sensei disappeared. Looking around frantically I felt a hand fall on top of my head. I froze.

"Suko-chan should just go to the Hokage like a good little genin and sensei will meet you there after getting Anju-chan and Hadzuki-kun

settled in their training."

Receiving a gentle shove from behind I looked back and there was no one there... how irritating.

I walked briskly back to the village attempting to figure out why I was having to do this…

Maybe I did something incorrect, maybe I was in trouble, maybe-

"Hurry up Mutsuko, you are going to be late." said sensei as he ran past.

Sprinting to catch up with him I quickly came to recognize he wasn't always as 'slow' as he made himself out to be in training.

The high walls of the Hokage's building didn't come soon enough.

Slowing as the shadows approached I'd finally caught up to sensei in the last few hundred meters.. I'm going to have to train more if I was

ever going to be that fast. Not even slightly winded sensei dragged me by the arm to the front desk… how shall I train to end this male?

"Sorry we are late~ Mutsuko got distracted by a little butterfly on the way here. The Hokage wished to meet with us at this hour, correct?"

Indignant about the explanation I kept my mouth shut and instead plotted his demise… butterflies perhaps.

"Please, follow me to the Hokage's office." spoke the human manning the front desk.

As the such of duckling to their mother sensei and I followed through endless corridors to what was introduced as the Hokage's office.

"Lord Third, Mutsuko and Yuuma have arrived."

"Come in." said the voice from beyond the door… lovely day.

Pushing open the door gently Yuuma-sensei entered the expanse of The Third Hokage's vast office following sensei in after the door closed

behind with a thump.

"As much as I detest to have to be serious… Mutsuko, you have been suspected of the disappearance of several fellow genin."

Appalled I glanced at sensei he knew better than anyone that all I ever did was eat, sleep, and train. No time for any mischief.

"Hokage-sama, It is highly unlikely that Mutsuko would have time for such trivial things. All she does is train; from sunup to sunset. I have

to literally drag her away from the training fields to get her to stop~" complained the equally appalled sensei.

"If I have been suspected of the such, then it is so until I have been proved innocent. Is that not how the judicial system works?" Interjected

calmly before Yuuma could proceed to defend me. No evidence to support it, no evidence to reject it, simply a plot against me…

"I am glad you are seeing things rationally Mutsuko, but it seems that there may be some issues with getting others to see you as innocent."

spoke the Hokage.

"Why has Su-Mutsuko-chan been found suspicious of such a horrendous act. For certain there are more logical suspects." Yuuma questioned.

"Someone is trying to lead the police off their trail as many shinobi, not just genin but jonin and even a few anbu have gone missing in the

past few weeks."

I sincerely hope Anju and Hadzuki we not next of the list to go missing.. "Sensei~ are Anju and Hadzuki safe in their training…?" I questioned

out of concern

"Who knows~ training is never completely safe."

Lack of concern for those under his command… wonder what he's going to do if they go 'missing' like these other genin.

"Until you've been proven innocent you are either to be detained or under close supervision…" tried the third Hokage in an attempt to bring

the conversation back on track.

Can't train while detained so the only option… why is this happening? He never answered the question.

"Hokage-sama~ If anyone has disappeared during this meeting it can be confirmed that Mutsuko is innocent though…" Yuuma-sensei

showing is occasional wisdom, yay.

"If at all possible could I potentially assist in the finding of this… person. Or would that be outstepping my boundries as a genin?" I

questioned the Hokage… better question is what am I doing.

"That most certainly would be exceeding what a genin is allowed. But as the punishment for the supposed offense is death~ bait perhaps?"

Suggested the Sarutobi

"No!" opposed the now alarmed jonin "I refuse to allow my subordinate to proceed in such an action."

Emotion?
