Clora got up from her chair where she was reading yet again. She set her book down on her desk and walked downstairs where she found her father, sitting on the couch, reading the daily prophet
"Hey dad, do you know the next time Uncle R is coming over? He said hes gonna give me one of his old t-shirts he found." Sirius kicked his finger and flipped the page while saying "Yes, tomorrow, but I dont understand why you would want it? He has horrible taste." Clora laughed a little.
"Who's night is it to make dinner?" Clora asked while walking to the kitchen, plopping herself down at the kitchen table. "I belive it was your turn darling." He said setting down the paper. Clora groaned "I made dinner last night." She said, her eyes following her father as he sat down at the table with her. "Yes and I made it all last week, so it's your turn." He said with a mischievous smiled on his face.
Clora walked over to find something she could make. "We need to restock, were running low on food, it looks like what Lulu would eat if she were human." She said searching cupboards and the fridge.
Lulu barley ate, maybe once every 2 days. It was happening for so long that they started to get worried, but when Remus came back with her, he said the vet told him that Lulu was just fine, and that its probably just a g
Sirius sighed and said "We can get some soon, you however young lady, have to practice with Remus tomorrow." He said. Clora looked at her father annoyed and said "Are you kidding!? Its summer!" She yelled. "Remus said he wanted to practice, his words, not mine." He said. Clora groaned.
Sitting there listening to music Clora sighed. There was no greater peace then just sitting there in your own little world, almost as if nothing bad could ever happen to you. But just like that she was snapped out of it by her dad calling her downstairs
It felt like minutes, but it turns out she had been in her own world for a little under an hour. She shrugged it off and walked downstairs. Her father was washing the dishes. "Yeah?" She said peaking her head around the corner from the stairs.
"Remus owled you, he also sent you something." Sirius said pointing to a package with a letter next to it on the table. She smiled and ran to the table. "Uncle R is the best, thanks dad." She said grabbing what he sent her, the. Running upstairs.
She sat in her chair and opened the letter.
It read:
Dearest Clora,
I'm sure your father has told you that we will be practicing tomorrow, that's because, I got you something. I will be bringing it to tomorrow, for now, enjoy what I told you I would give you. I also think you would particularly like this book I found in the shop. Enjoy.
P.S. Only one piece of clothing is mine, the other one I found.
-Uncle R
She smiled and opened the package. To see not one, but two t-shirts. One was a tanish-color, while the other one was white, and had a rose on it. Obviously she knew which one was Lupins. She held up the shirts to get a better look, then put them in her closet. Next she looked at the book, the title was "The flower not only blooms." And it was about a girl who enjoyed a magical garden
She loved books that had to do with nature and flowers. Mostly because her favorite scents are Lavender and Rose Petals. In fact that's what she smelled like. She got perfume last year for her birthday, and has been using it ever since
She took a shower and got into some comfortable clothes. Her dad poked his head through the door and caught her sketching in her sketchbook. "Hey, you alright darling?" He asked. She smiled and nodded her head "I'm great dad." She said picking her head up to look at him. "What did Remus give you?" He asked sitting on the edge of her bed. "One of his ten shirts, a book and this shirt." She said looking down at her new shirt she was wearing. "It looks lovely." He says smiling.
She handed him her book. "This is the book he gave me." She said then started sketching again. He flipped through it. "This seems like an amazing book, I'm sure you'll enjoy it." He said giving the book back to her. "I'm sure I'll enjoy it like every other book father." She said walking over to put it in her bookcase.
"Uncle R said he got me something hes gonna give me something else tomorrow, do you know what?" She asked. "Maybe I do, maybe I dont." He said with a cheeky smirk on. Clora gasped "You totally do!" She smiled. Sirius laughed and stood up. "Get some sleep darling, you'll need energy for tomorrow." He said then kissed her on her head. "Night dad." She said. "Night Darling." He said then closed the door.
Clora grabbed the book her uncle gave her. "I finished my other book this morning, why not start a new one?" She told herself. She sat in her bed with her reading lamp on. She read for about 20 minutes before she passed out with the book in her hand, and the light still on.
Her dad checked on her one more time, to make sure she was okay before sleep, but he found her passed out with the light on. He chuckled at his daughter then walked over to her. He softly grabbed the book and kissed her on her forehead. He smiled and turned the light off, set her book down and walked out of her room while quietly shutting the door.
