Cassy sat in the living room of Kappa Kappa Theta, drinking a cup of tea and staring at the wall.
"You wanna trade that tea for a beer?" Kendall asked her with a smile. Cassy looked her up and down, the skimpy party dress indicating that she was heading somewhere. "You´re going to that frat party at Sigma Tau Pi later or did you forget about that?"
"I´m so sorry…" Cassy remembered the promise she gave Kendall to go to the party. "I´m just not feeling well."
"Are you getting sick? Do you want me to call someone?" Kendall worried as she sat down next to her friend but Cassy shrugged it off.
"No, I don´t know I just had this weird feeling in my gut all day…I don´t know it´s probably like first day jitters or so." She smiled and Kendall sighed comforting.
"Alright you stay here and drink your tea, I´m sure nothing spectacular will happen anyway." The brunette assured her before heading upstairs to their room. Cassy leaned back with her mug and checked the notifications on her phone when she heard the front door slam shut. She looked up and saw Lila stomping up the stairs, obviously angry about something.
"What are you looking at?!" she shouted at Cassy who restrained herself from following her. After their huge fight she didn´t feel like comforting her former best friend.
Annalise´s team gathered in the court room for the trial in the case of Father Andrew, a priest who pled guilty to killing another called Father Bernard. Frank sat down next to Cassy who knew that he and Bonnie were at Nate´s bail hearing.
"What did the judge say?" she whispered and Frank cleared his throat.
"She denied the request." He replied quietly as they watched Annalise and her client discuss something before the judge came in and told everyone to be seated.
"I understand that the state has agreed to-" the judge started to talk but Annalise suddenly stood up and interrupted him.
"The defense has a request your honor." She said with a certain voice. "My client would like to withdraw his plea. Father Crawford felt pressured to take the plea." The prosecution quickly stepped in to say that in no way they pressured the defendant to which Annalise lied that she didn´t explain his options thoroughly.
"What the hell is she doing?" Cassy mumbled just as confused as the rest of the spectators.

Cassy stood in the bathroom, brushing her teeth as her phone chimed and she looked at it.
"You feeling better?" she saw a text from her roommate who went to the party without her. Cassy smiled and texted her back that she was fine, when in fact she still had that weird feeling. Suddenly she heard Lila crying and shouting that someone should leave her alone. Worried that she was in trouble Cassy peeked outside of the bathroom, however she soon realized that Lila was shouting at her ringing phone. The ginger girl didn´t see Cassy as she ran up the stairs to, what Cassy supposed, be on the roof. The girl finished her night time routine and went back to her room where she lay down on her bed. She wanted to follow Lila so badly but she knew right now she wasn´t much help and would just have to let her cool off.
After the court was adjourned, the group returned to the house to work out a defense, while Wes and Laurel sneaked of to the kitchen.
"I´m so tired. I didn´t get any sleep last night." Cassy yawned as she leaned back on the couch.
"Why, did you sin last night." Connor joked and she scoffed lightly.
"No, I just can´t stop thinking about Nate." She explained quietly.
"That detective dude that whacked Mr. Keating? Why?" Asher asked surprised and Cassy looked at him, not realizing that he was in the room until now.
"Well, I don´t know I just didn´t think that it was an act of jealousy." Cassy lied and Connor gave her a slight nod for the subtle lie. Suddenly Bonnie entered the room, stopping the conversation they had.
"Pack up we´re going to church." She said and Cassy rolled her eyes as she just got comfortable on the couch.
"I consider myself an atheist so…" she mocked Bonnie´s authority, raising her hand with a smirk. The blonde was not up for any jokes and simply told them to get Wes and Laurel and get going.
"Hey! Have some respect for the Bonbon." Asher told Cassy who was still giggling about her smart comeback.
"Oh, you´re protecting her now? How sweet of you." She said in a sing-songy voice and with a pout, making Asher nervous.
"What? No I- I´m just saying she´s kinda our boss so…maybe you should tone it down with your one-liners. They´re not even that good." Asher huffed and Cassy scoffed as she grabbed her purse and walked towards the door where Connor and Michaela were waiting.
"Oh please, my one-liners are perfect." She replied sassy as the three walked outside the door, Connor laughing, finding the mocking between Asher and Cassy way too funny and even Michaela chuckled a little.
"When did they become friends?" Asher thought out loud when Wes and Laurel came out of the kitchen but they as well looked quite surprised by that turn of events.
Bonnie and the students went to the church their client worked at and the man who found the victim Father Bernard showed them where the body lay and how he found him. Cassy shuddered as she crossed her arms over her chest in hope for comfort, looking around the house of god.
"Not a big church goer?" Michaela asked her, noticing how uncomfortable Cassy seemed.
"I just don´t think we should be here after what we did." Cassy whispered unsure and Michaela scoffed.
"Why don´t you just go in the confession booth then." She mocked her before turning her focus back on the witness. The man told them that he heard the two priests fighting over being head pastor. After they finished up with the witness, Bonnie ordered Asher, Michaela and Connor to talk to the students of the catholic school run by the church while the other three students returned to the house to work on a defense. Frank was waiting for them at the house, handing out files and Cassy watched as Wes and Laurel snuck back to the kitchen after some moments and couldn´t help but notice Frank seeing it too.
"Don´t be jealous." She said to him quietly which tore him out of his thoughts.
"I`m not. Besides, she´s with that legal aid guy anyway." Frank retorted and Cassy smirked.
"Is she though?" she questioned, getting Frank´s interest once again. "I mean we´re basically friends and she never once talked about him. Who she talks about though are you."
"She does?" Frank asked hopeful and Cassy giggled by his change in tone and expression.
"But you have no crush on her, right?" she teased him, remembering what he told her a few days ago when she saw him comforting Laurel. Frank rolled his eyes before continuing to go through some documents while Cassy sat down on the couch, reading the files he gave her.
Father Andrew was asked to Annalise´s house after the information of one of the students from the catholic school spending lots of time with him and then committing suicide was brought to her by Connor, Michaela and Asher. The attorney talked to her client and found out that Father Andrew and that boy were friends and that Father Bernard abused him, which is why Andrew killed him.
"So we plead manslaughter instead of murder?" Michaela asked after Annalise told them the news.
"We can´t Father Andrew feels that it´s a sin to testify to what Father Bernard said in the confession booth and evidentiary law agrees with him." Annalise explained, continuing to say that without that the jury could not be convinced of manslaughter.
"What about the Thornbirds angle?" Connor suggested and everyone looked at him confused as he explained the TV show Thornbirds and that a priest slept with women.
"Both Agnes and Father Andrew claim that their relationship was platonic." Annalise reminded them, saying that that angle was off the table.
"Was I right or was I right?" Asher smiled happily much to the confusion of everyone. "It all comes back to the diddlin´ priests."
"So, you´re happy a boy was sexually abused and then killed himself?" Michaela wondered to which Asher replied that he was happy because he was awesome. Wes and Laurel used that moment of distraction to get out of the room and talk in private, which Michaela found very suspicious.
They were all working late again and Annalise decided to try talk to her client once more about telling the jury of the abuse while the rest stayed behind studying the files. Cassy awkwardly watched Asher and Bonnie giggling by her desk but hardly hearing them as she sat too far away to hear their whispers.
"Please, somebody burn my eyes." She thought out loud getting weird looks from her co workers
"Why?" Laurel asked confused and only then Cassy realized she said it out loud.
"I´ve just seen enough." She shook her head, looking back down onto the files on her lap. She knew she had no reason to be jealous and that her outburst about Asher sleeping with another person the same night was uncalled for, seeing as she slept with him after playing part in a murder, however, she just felt betrayed by him.
After everyone was allowed to go home Cassy sat on the couch in her sweatpants, eating ice cream straight out of the tub when Frank joined her in the living room.
"Is all this about Doucheface screwing Bonnie?" he asked, one eyebrow raised and his hand wildly gesturing around her.
"No, it´s not." Cassy lied, pushing a spoonful of the ice cream into her mouth.
"You wanna talk about it?" he asked her with a sigh and she looked up surprised.
"Do you?" she replied and he sat down on the other end of the couch, taking the tub of ice cream from her and eating some himself.
"I guess that´s what big brother´s do, right?" he wondered as he let the ice cream melt in his mouth.
"As if I knew." Cassy laughed, making Frank smile as well. "It´s just…I don´t know I guess I thought that what we had was more special than it actually was, you know?"
"So, you had a crush on him." Frank put together and Cassy kicked him with her foot.
"I did not!" she retorted with a deep red blush. "I don´t know I just felt kind of weird knowing that he had no problem sleeping with Bonnie shortly after me and now they´re a thing or whatever." She explained, taking back the dessert.
"Just wait till he finds out you had no problem sleeping with him after killing someone." Frank shrugged and got kicked by his sister once more.
"Whose side are you on, Frank?" She asked concerned but with a hint of a smile. "Anyway, thanks…for talking."
"Anytime." A smile hushed over Frank´s lips as he stood up and took the ice cream to put it in the freezer.
The following day the group met in the court room, after Annalise finally convinced Agnes to lie and give Father Andrew an alibi. She asked the witness about the night of the murder, about what they were doing and why she didn´t tell anyone.
"Uh…I was with Father Andrew that night. We were being intimate." Agnes lied hesitant and everyone in the courtroom gasped and started whispering.
"Forgive them Father for they have sinned." Cassy chuckled as she raised her eyebrows in surprise.
"You do know she´s lying to help Annalise win, right?" Michaela whispered to Cassy who rolled her eyes.
"Of course I do. I just don´t believe that they´ve never done the deed." She smiled sarcastically when suddenly the judge´s voice interrupted them, announcing a recess to discuss whether or not the testimony will be used. The students left the courtroom, leaving Annalise and her team to discuss how to continue and they sat down in the hallway waiting for the recess to be over.
"Does anybody else think our client is stupid for not pleading manslaughter?" Cassy sighed annoyed as she leaned back and closed her eyes.
"Oh you mean because he follows his job´s rules about confidentiality?" Michaela huffed sarcastically when Connor came to stand beside them, seeming stressed and uneasy. "Waiting on some big news?"
"Yeah, uhm…Oliver made us get tested for STDs and the nurse won´t leave the results on my voicemail, so, I´m freaking out." He admitted as he rocked around on his heel.
"Chill out my gay bro, I´m sure it´s fine. You wrap up your dingalingadong, right?" Asher asked him and Cassy furrowed her eye brows and threw him a strange glance.
"What are you? Four?" Cassy wondered out loud about the expression he used but Connor answered regardless that he used a condom most of the time.
"I´m just gonna call Oliver." Connor said holding up his phone before stepping away from the group.

1:45 am
Cassy walked around the first floor, sleepless from worrying about starting school when suddenly she bumped into a man.
"Can I help you?" Cassy asked confused by him standing by Lila´s door.
"Uhm…yeah I´m looking for Lila. We were supposed to…to study…we are a study group." The strange man said hesitant and Cassy wasn´t too sure if she believed him.
"A study group at almost 1 am?" the girl questioned and the guy seemed nervous, shaky and pale.
"Yeah, no…I mean…she was supposed to meet me an hour ago and when she didn´t show up I thought she didn´t wanna deal…with school stuff." He quickly added the last part and Cassy realized the so called "study group" was actually Lila dealing drugs.
"No, sorry. She´s probably at that frat party." Cassy lied, the concern about her friend growing.
"Okay, thanks anyway." The trembling man nodded before heading back downstairs. Cassy´s weird gut feeling got even weirder as she furrowed her eyebrows, trying to piece together what was going on. She knew Lila was angry, Cassy herself was still furious with Lila for all the things she said a few nights ago but she was beginning to really worry about her. She has never seen Lila alone on the roof for so long, especially upset.
"Lila, what the hell is going on?" Cassy thought out loud as she looked up the staircase.
After the recess everyone got back to their seats and it was the prosecution´s turn to question Agnes. The prosecutor asked intimidating questions, almost badgered the witness when suddenly Father Andrew stood up and told them to stop.
"I wanna change my plea." He announced and everyone looked around confused as Annalise desperately tried to tell him to sit down. "I plea guilty and confess to the murder of Father Bernard."
"What the hell is he doing? We had the cat in the bag." Cassy mumbled confused as she watched the priest repeatedly confessing and Annalise losing the case. "Well, we know who´s not gonna be holding the mass this Sunday." Cassy joked as they put him in handcuffs and lead him away. After Father Andrew was sentenced the students went outside and waited for further instructions.
"Esther just called from the clinic. Guess who´s HIV negative." Connor announced to Cassy and Asher who stood by the doors to the court room.
"That´s great, Connor." Cassy cheered and Asher congratulated him too.
"Connor, Cassy." They heard Michaela call them over to where she was standing and watching Wes and Laurel whisper about something. "They´ve been sneaking around all week. I think they will pin Sam´s murder on us."
"No, they wouldn´t." Cassy was sure but seeing as she too noticed that they were spending an awful lot of time whispering, she needed convincing herself.
"How about we just ask them." Connor suggested as he waltzed over to them interrupting a heated discussion.
"Who would freak out? Rebecca?" Michaela asked and Laurel and Wes looked at them startled and anxious.
"What do you have to ask her?" Connor wanted to know, a stern look on his face and Wes sighed.
"If she killed Lila." He admitted, causing everyone to furrow their eyebrows.
"He doesn´t know anything, he´s-" Laurel tried to calm them down but Wes interrupted her, explaining that Rebecca lied to him about the guy who lived in his place before him.
"He saw her come home wet the night Lila was killed. From the water tank." Wes told the three and Cassy closed her eyes, shaking her head in disbelief.
"No, Sam killed Lila, right? That´s why he…he deserved what he got, right? We didn´t kill an innocent man." Cassy whispered harshly, her voice on the verge of breaking as she felt a lump building up in her throat.
"Don´t talk about this here." Michaela warned her and Cassy crossed her arms over her chest in hope for comfort.
"Rebecca said she didn´t go look for Lila at the sorority house, but there´s an eyewitness that said he saw her there." Wes continued to hand them the facts and the three who were already sceptic of Rebecca the whole time scoffed and shook their heads.
"But we proofed that Sam was on that roof." Connor reminded Wes who shook his head and said that Rebecca could have put that information on his computer the night she broke into his house.
"Where is she?" Michaela asked angrily and Laurel tried to convince her that they couldn´t just talk to her or she would run away scared. "No- Where the hell is she?!" Wes agreed with Michaela for once and they quickly headed over to his apartment where they waited in the staircase for Rebecca to come home.
"Guys I really don´t think that´s a good idea." Cassy tried to reason. She didn´t want to scare Rebecca away and risk their safety Annalise and Frank worked for so long.
"Shush quiet." Michaela silenced her when they heard footsteps approaching. It was indeed Rebecca who first looked confused but quickly realized what was going on. They rushed her into Wes´s apartment where Michaela, Laurel and Connor started interrogating her about the night of Lila´s murder while Wes and Cassy kept quiet and stood in different corners of the room. They accused her of lying about Rudi and giving him a drug overdose to make him an unreliable witness.
"Wes!" Rebecca sobbed but Michaela told her not to look at him and that she was done playing around. "Cassy. I know we had our differences but you know I loved Lila just as much as you did." She looked to the youngest who had her arms crossed over her chest and her eyes full with regret and doubt.
"I don´t know what to think anymore…" Cassy sighed when Michaela attacked Rebecca physically.
"You ruined our lives! Don´t you get that!" she shouted while the rest looked shocked by the slap she just gave Rebecca. "I was supposed to be getting married and I´m not anymore. Aiden called off the wedding because of you." She admitted much to everyone´s shock as no one knew about this. "You dragged us into the horror show that is your life and now we´re all screwed. Forever. Tell us the damn truth, Rebecca."
"I found the campus cop." Rebecca said after a short pause. "He was fired a couple days after Sam disappeared. Some sorority girls filed a report that he was stalking them. I guess that was Frank and Annalise too, right?" she told them and everyone looked at her anxiously, Cassy´s knees starting to feel weaker by the second. "He had to move to Delaware for a job. I guess that´s why he never saw the news. Don´t make me call him."
"You wouldn´t." Cassy spoke up and the raven-haired woman looked at her sternly.
"Don´t test me." She responded harshly and Cassy came closer to her, now feeling the anger in her burn up.
"How dare you? Come into my life, steal my best friend, put those crazy ideas about dealing and affairs in her head. Being responsible for the death of our boss´ husband and having us clean up your mess. And now you threaten us? You stupid little-" Cassy threatened her when Rebecca suddenly cut her off by pushing her back and heading for the door, Cassy landing on the floor with a loud thump and a painful groan. However, before she could get there Connor jumped her and pinned her down while Laurel put duct tape around her hands and feet and one piece on her mouth.
"You okay?" Wes asked when he helped Cassy up who nodded with a painful expression as she rubbed her backside. "What do we do know?"
"We put her in the bathroom." Laurel said convinced but Cassy shook her head.
"And then? Now she will definitely go to the police!" she hissed and they nodded as they realized that she was right. "I´m calling Annalise."
"No, no! She won´t save us another time you idiot!" Michaela retorted but Cassy already dialed up her number and put the phone to her ear.
"Mrs. Keating? We need your help…please you need to come to Wes´ now…it´s about Rebecca." They listened to Cassy talking to the attorney before hanging up. "Let´s get her in the bathroom."
It was about 20 minutes until Annalise came, in which no one said a word and they were scattered around the one-room apartment all breathing shakily and the suppressing feeling they felt the night of the bonfire coming to them again. When Annalise knocked on the door everyone flinched before letting her in. It was silent, nobody knowing how to address what happened, as Annalise walked through the apartment looking them all up and down before finally reaching Laurel who opened the bathroom door to reveal a tied up Rebecca sitting on the floor, tears in her scared eyes.
"We screwed up." Cassy let out when Annalise turned to them in disbelieve, a look on her face that was even more intimidating than what they did to Rebecca.
