The bus pulled into the parking lot and halted to a stop in front of the school. I looked at the large white building with two stories. I could see the cafeteria as I walked towards it and it was all windows. I took a deep breath and walked into the cafeteria. I glanced around and noticed Raven and Jessica smiling and waving me over. I noticed Scott sitting at a table full of people.

I walked in the direction of Jessica and Raven and then I watched them come over to me.

"Let's grab breakfast first," they said smiling.

We walked together over to the breakfast line. I caught a whiff of warmed maple syrup. I broke out in a smile as I saw what was being served.

"Yum, again one of my favorites. I love french toast sticks." I said in a high pitched squeal.

"Be prepared for more delicious meals." Jessica said, "Our schools lunch ladies make amazing meals. We are so lucky."

"Yeah, one time we got lasagna and it was cooked perfectly. The mozzarella cheese on top was melted but not burnt," Raven said.

"That's something I could get used to. My old school the food was always gross and overcooked," I said with a digusted look on my face.

I asked my mom to make my food to bring to school.

"Sounds awful. Well, you're spoiled now I guess," Raven said with a smile.

"Yeah, I second that," Jessica said also with a smile.

We got to the front of the line and grabbed our trays and our juices. We made our way to an empty table and sat down.

Just as we were finishing breakfast, Raven said, "Would you like to come over after school today and hang out."

My face turned slightly pink as I knew Scott would be there. But I quickly replied, "Sure, I would love to. I'll have to let my mom know I won't be home for dinner tonight."

"Alright, I'm excited for you to come over and hang out. My mom will love you," Raven said, "Jessica your welcome to come over too if you would like."

"Sorry, Raven but I promised my mom I would be home after school today," Jessica replied.

"Well, maybe another time then," Raven responded.

The girls noticed the time was already 7:45 am and leaped from their chairs and grabbed their backpacks and made their way to their lockers. Luckily our lockers were all near each other. I grabbed my math book as math was my first class of the day. I let out a groan as I picked up my math book.

"Raven, where is the algebra class with Mrs. Hale," I said with a puzzled look on my face.

"New girl, you walk down the left corridor and its the last door on your left," Raven replied.

"Thank you, Raven," I said. "I'll see you after school today."

"Victoria, we have the same class today. I can help direct you if you want," said Jessica.

"Well, since I know where I'm going we can just walk together to class," I responded.

We headed down the hall for our math class. As we stepped in, I noticed Scott was in the far end of the classroom and my heart dropped again and I felt shaky.

"Victoria, are you okay? You seem kinda fidgety," Jessica said.

"I'll be alright. I'll explain to you later at lunch," I replied while taking my seat.

I noticed eyes were on me as I took my seat and looked around to notice Scott was looking directly at me with a blank look on his face. Again I wondered why he was looking at me oddly. Was something wrong with me that made him stare? Just then the bell screamed to begin class.

The morning flew by quickly and it was finally time for lunch. As I walked to the lunchroom I got a delicious scent of pepperoni and cheese. My stomach started growling and I walked with anticipation of what a lovely lunch I would have. I was salivating profusely as I grabbed my tray and headed for a seat. Just then Raven and Jessica joined me.

"Alright, Victoria what was the matter with you this morning in math class. You looked pale and weak. I know something is up and I want some answers," Jessica said in a calm tone.

"Uh...uh...uh, it's Scott," I stammered.

"What about him?" Jessica inquired.

I turned 5 shades of red and gulped. "I kinda may have a crush on him, he fascinates me."

"What did I tell you about Scott yesterday," Jessica quickly answered with an annoyed look.

Raven interrupted her. "I'll introduce them today," she said, "Don't be so negative Jessica."

The bell sounded as we realized lunch was over. We walked to our classes and neither one of my friends were in my next class. I had yoga, which I looked forward to some relaxation after this stress I've been feeling the past two days. Yet I was nervous to find out what would happen after school, how would Scott react to me?

After school, Raven waited for me outside my last class. We walked to her bus together and Scott was already on the bus with his headphones on and his music blaring. He was listening to some hard rock. By the sound of it, I could tell it was three days grace. Raven and I took our seats across the aisle from Scott.

The whole ride to her house I felt super warm yet cold at the same time and my hands felt clammy. My heart was racing as the bus came to a stop in front of their house. It was huge with a large wooden deck and a car garage underneath the second floor. Raven, Scott, their other siblings, and I all got off the bus. I pondered the thought of speaking to Scott once I got inside but I felt so feverish that I considered just letting Raven introduce us.

We all walked into the house and Raven the dark wooden door behind her as she was the last one to enter the house.

A woman about Scott's height walked into the room with a smile and outstretched her hand to me. "You must be Victoria, Raven has told me a lot about you," she said, "I'm her mother but you can just call me Renée."

She shook my hand gently and she was very warm to the touch. Her wavy black hair was short just like Ravens and she had rosy cheeks and dimples. Looking at her, I could see Raven looked just like her mom.

"Nice to meet you Renée, my name is Victoria," I said quietly.

"I already know that as I said Raven has talked a lot about you, dear," she said as she walked out of the room.

"Forgive my mother Victoria," Raven said, "She can be a little overbearing."

"It's alright," I said, "She seems very welcoming and rather sweet."

"Here let me give you a tour of the house," Raven said, "Come along new girl." I followed her into a room that had a brown leather couch and two chairs to match. It had a large fireplace with a pebble mantle surrounding the outside of it. The carpet was a soft blue shade and was long threaded and soft.

"This is our living room," Raven showed me as I took in my surroundings. "Here ill show you the bathroom just in case you need to use it. I followed her to a hallway that had the same light blue carpet as the living room.

"Here is the bathroom," Raven said. I peaked around to see a huge mirror over a beautiful copper sink with counters that were made of black marble. Along the wall was a huge jacuzzi tub and the floor was made of off-white tile. It took it in and thought wow that bathroom is beautiful.

"Come along new girl, there is more to see," Raven said.

Just as she uttered her last word. I could hear the door open and close in the front room of the house.

"My dad is home, " She said, "Give him time before we introduce you.

He likes to relax when he first comes home. He is a doctor so his work stresses him out. Anyways let me show you the rest of the house."

I followed her up the stairs to where I saw another living area that looked just like the bottom floor. There was a hallway with the same flooring and I could tell bedroom doors aligned the hallway.

"My parent's bedroom is on the first floor but we will never be going in that room so I figured it wasn't important to show you. All our bedrooms are up here, " Raven said, "My brother's bedrooms are on the right and my two sisters and I have the bedrooms on the left. "The bedrooms on the right are Jason, Michael, and Scotts. Then on the left is Jasmine, my bedroom and Lizzie's bedroom."

She opened lead me down the hallway to Scott's bedroom and knocked gently on his door. I could hear rock music playing on low in his bedroom.

"Yes, come in," Scott called.

Raven opened the door and I saw Scott in dark blue jeans and a black muscle shirt. I blushed and looked down at the floor in front of me. I couldn't help but notice how cute he looked in his attire.

"Scott meet Victoria. She is the transfer student this year," she said in a soft sweet voice.

"Hello Victoria, my name is Scott," he said.

The way he said my name made me feel all tingly in the face and my heart started racing. "Nice...to...meet...you," I stammered. I began blushing and hoped he wouldn't notice. He had short black hair and a baby face with a nicely trimmed goatee. Raven ushered me down the hall and Scott called my name again.

"Victoria, I would like to chat with you in my room if that's okay with Raven," he said.

"Yeah go ahead Victoria," Raven said.

She knew I had a major crush on her brother and so she didn't mind me talking to him. I turned around and walked into his bedroom where he was sitting on his bed and patted a spot for me to sit right next to him. My face was pink again, my hands grew sweaty and my heart started racing at the thought of what he wanted to talk to me about.

"Victoria, I'm sorry for the way I've acted towards you for the first two days of school. I know you have noticed me looking at you in our classes together and at lunch. I've never really had any interest in any of the girls at school until you moved here. I would like to take you on a date sometime if you would care to join me. If not, that's...," He said.

I interrupted him by leaping into the air and my heart began to race faster. "I would love to, Scott."

"Great," he said, "How about I pick you up around 6 pm Friday night?"

"Let me discuss it with my mom first but I'm sure she will be okay with it," I said as I ran out of his room and into Raven's room with a huge smile from ear to ear.

I couldn't believe my ears when he told me that he was interested in me, especially when Jessica had told me to not waste my time on him.

"What's got you in such a good mood?" Raven inquired.

"Your brother just asked me to dinner Friday night," I said.

"I knew that would happen, " she said. I looked at her in shock. How did she know that would happen. I was overjoyed with anticipation for what was to come Friday night.
