Thank you for your patience! Also, have you seen the trailer for MK11: Aftermath? MY MAN FUJIN IS THERE! I'm so turned on right now... (not just because of him though)

Teoitotia's POV:

A Few Days Later...

Tracking Havik is the biggest pain ever. How can you track chaos when almost the whole universe is chaos? At this point, I give up; it's an impossible task. Instead of me going to him, I'll wait for him to come to us. I was with the Fujin and Raiden in the Jinsei Chamber.

"What could he be after?" asked Fujin.

"Knowing Havik, he would be after a relic, or relics, of great power," responded Raiden.

"Well that narrows down the list."

"If I may interrupt. Let us say that we find exactly what he could be after, if we can get it before he can, how will we prevent it from going into the wrong hands?" I asked.

"We hide it," offered Fujin.

"Where?" I asked. "I don't mean to offend Kotal Kahn, but Outworld is no place for it."

"Then there is only Orderrealm and Earthrealm, but the Chaosrealmers are always after the later. That leaves Earthrealm," Raiden stated.

I nodded and Fujin beat me to it, "Where? Havik's tactics and unpredictability make it almost impossible to hide something from him. The Special Forces is not strong enough. The Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu are strong, they can deal with interdimensional threats, but are they strong enough for him?"

"They are both strong, but they are not strong enough, yet. Perhaps if they joined with the White Lotus?" I chuckled darkly. "Or else, that leaves us. Although we are technically still isolated, the universe seems to want us to not be so anymore. If we hide it in Tliltetepetl, Havik could possibly slither his way inside. Our magic is strong, but I don't think our dome can deal with any of his stronger spells. But we could still try. Or..." Fujin and Raiden looked at me with interest. "We combine the forces of my people and you Spirits."

"Could you elaborate?" asked Raiden.

"If we have Kojin, Sarutahiko, and some of my strongest warriors guard it, it could be enough to merely slow down his attempts to steal it. So, someone could grab it and run. I know that we are under strict laws, but when it comes to Havik, my uncle would have no problem providing warriors as long as our existence is kept secret from the rest. To our potential advantage; Havik may not even know about us." I continued to ramble, "All the officers cannot come, but we still have other strong warriors."

"But Kojin and Sarutahiko are guarding other artifacts," noted Raiden.

"Then we can have some of our warriors to guard them until the targeted relic is moved or the crisis has passed."

"Will your uncle even allow such a thing to occur?" asked Fujin.

"I know that he will not let more than six outside our borders for this, but if we absolutely need more...I could take over, but then that leaves the elders." Thinking about it just gives me a headache.

Raiden responded, "If we are given six strong warriors, then it may be enough."

Fujin changed the focus, "Now that we have that, the most important question is what relics can he be after?"

There was a long pause. Then the two went on to list the possible relics. The only ones I heeded were "Kamidogu" and "Kamikusari."

I interrupted them, "Wait. Knowing Havik, we would go for the powerful ones; the Kamidogu or the Kamikusari."

"The Kamidogu, when fused, could rewrite reality. The Kamikusari, when fused, can enslave all living beings both mortal and immortal," Raiden informed me. (NOTE: There are 6 Kamidogu and 5 Kamikusari) "Individually, the Kamidogu can make someone stronger with the price of being corrupt, The Kamikusari can enslave one immortal mind or 20 mortal minds at a time from its native realm."

"Could both fused relics be combined or fused in some way?" I asked.

"I don't know."

"Wait, there are only five Kamikusari. One for each realm. Does it require anything else?"

"The essence of an immortal," Fujin said.

I blinked. "Then we cannot have any of you guarding anything. Why don't we have those relics sent to near the center of the earth? No one would assume that that would be where they are hidden."

Fujin smiled. "Creative, but too out in the open and dangerous."

"Sent them to other planets in Earthrealm. There are many possible planets and I can assure you that my uncle can lend us many warriors for that, but they would need your help to be transported there."

You are very creative, but I don't know if that's a good idea, said Fujin.

I know, but sometimes we have to think outside the planet.

He had a smile in his voice, I see what you did there. If Raiden weren't here, I would be doing something else right now.

Ayo! Calm down now, I responded in a playful tone. Later.

"If we are desperate, that would be good choice," answered Raiden. Fujin looked taken aback and I laughed inside. Raiden continued, "We alert the other realms, that are possible, while simultaneously securing the Kamikusari of Earthrealm. I will alert the other realms and I trust you both to secure the Kamikusari and bring it back here."

"What if we hide it somewhere else meanwhile?" I offered.

"What do you have in mind?" asked Raiden.

"Please, leave it to us."

Raiden nodded. "Make sure it is secure. I will inform the monks and they will accompany me."

We nodded to each other and he left. After the Jinsei's doors closed, I looked at Fujin. He asked with suspicion, Where exactly do you plan on hiding it?

I smiled and approached him so our chests were touching. Leave that to me.

Here we go.

We embraced each other and kissed.

...

We went to some island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean where the SF had a base that was guarding the Kamikusari of Earthrealm. Fujin teleported us so we were on top of another small island. We stared at each other. I put a hand out for him to give me the chain knife. He handed it over.

"Where do you plan on hiding it?" he asked.

I smiled and wrapped the chain around the knife. Once it was secure, I threw it in the ocean and far from us. I forced the water near it to freeze, then the prism sank all the way to the bottom with my help. I made the earth swallow it and forced it deep into the planet under a certain spot. I looked back at Fujin and he had annoyance on his face.

"Where is it?" he asked out loud.

Underneath Tliltetepetl and deep in the earth. Sarutahiko and some of my people should be able to fetch it easily once they know where it is. Well, Sarutahiko should know by now.

Where do we go from here? Raiden won't be back for a while.

Silence. What is it, my love?

Havik is an unpredictable one. I feel very uneasy dealing with him. We all do.

I forced a bit of land on the island to come apart to create a cave. I looked back at Fujin and purred, Perhaps a bit of relief from this tension is required? I knew he would be down for that. I led him to the cave and we pleasured each other for a while.

...

After bathing, we went to the Sky Temple and waited for Raiden. He still wasn't back so Fujin went to the Jinsei chamber while I went to our room. I sat on the floor, facing my home, burned some incense, and meditated. First, I sensed the energy of the cosmos; the balance was still thrown off. My spirit went outside my body to detect any abnormalities nearby. Minutes later, I saw lighting strike near the Sky Temple. I immediately went back into my body, put out the incense, and went downstairs to meet the group.

They were in a meeting room. The monks and I saw each other and bowed our heads in greetings. I went next to Fujin and told Raiden, "Sorry for making you wait."

"It is quite alright. I bring troubling news." I narrowed my eyes in worry. He continued, "The Kamikusari was stolen in all realms besides Earthrealm's, Orderrealm's, and Outworld's. We cannot possibly know everyone who he could have enslaved."

"He's either going to Outworld or Orderrealm next," I deduced.

"Yes."

"What are we to do?" asked Liu Kang.

Raiden looked at me. "You are in possession of the Kamikusari, are you not?"

"I have hidden it well."

"It is best if I don't know. Will you be able to execute a plan if he comes here to look for it?"

"We can."

He nodded. "You and your people are in charge of defending it. We can only trust the other realms to do the same. For now, we can only watch and listen. Should the other two realms be in trouble, we can help them with any forces we can spare."

The monk and I nodded at his orders.

... ... ... ... ...

Two Days Later...

I had informed my uncle and the councils of our current situation and my uncle has decided to keep most of our warriors inside our dome for the sake of Earthrealm's safety. It was morning and I was getting ready to teach a class in a school on battle tactics. Suddenly, I heard, My love, Orderrealm has lost their Kamikusari. Only Outworld's and ours remain.

What is being done about Outworld?

We don't know, but Havik is getting closer. We cannot allow him to get either of the remaining pieces.

What can I do?

Keep it guarded and look out for Havik. If he enters Earthrealm, I need whoever you are sending, to run. Do you know what planet to send it to?

I was thinking about an inhospitable one.

The less I know, the better.

There was slight pause. I asked, Are you alright, my love?

Are you? I made a noise of agreement and he said, Keep me updated if you feel anything. I have to go. I love you.

Do not fear, my love. We will survive this crisis. I love you, too.

We stopped talking and I went on in order to teach battle strategies.

... ...

It was sunset in Tliltetepetl and I headed home to eat. Fujin wasn't back yet and I was starting to grow concerned. I arrived home and sat down to feel for any disturbances in our planet. Not two seconds into it, I shivered and felt the hair on my neck rise in response to the chaos I felt. Oh no. I rapidly stood up and magically changed from my usual wear to my battle outfit of a coyote warrior (without the headwear) (Google link: /url?sa=i&url=https% .com-JENKINS-AZTECS-CONQUISTADORS-AZ-07-AZTEC-COYOTE-WARRIOR-PRIEST-MACUAHUITL&psig=AOvVaw2rtvJWAF3WjiNaPEbEBLAI&ust=1588807678835000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAIQjRxqFwoTCIjF1v_vnekCFQAAAAAdAAAAABBL) with a gold stud labret and gold earplugs with inlaid jade. I tried my hear into the hairstyle of a warrior.

I grabbed my macuahuitl and warned my uncle: Havik is here. If I fail, make your chosen one run immediately. Have him or her ready.

I didn't bother waiting for his response and made the earth swallow me. As I traveled underground to the SF base in the Pacific Ocean, I told Fujin, He's here.

The earth spit me out and I was ready with my macuahuitl raised up. I looked ahead and saw dead SF soldiers. I didn't let my guard down and went deeper inland. I traveled deeper underground and noticed all the dead bodies. I softly stepped and kept an ear out for anything. I was close to the original base where the Kamikusari was held. I forced the metal to reshape to let me in. I softly stepped in and noticed that no one was there, except for a man with his back to me.

"Who are you?" I asked.

I was going to review my surroundings again, but my neck stood on end as I heard a chilling voice, "None of your concern."

I rapidly turned around and immediately recognized the person's bony mouth. Before I could do anything else, he shoved a hand in my upper abdomen and I was immobilized. "Who are you?" he asked with interest and then I blacked out.

...

I opened my eyes and was enclosed in an unknown room. I sat up and saw Havik, leaning on a door. It wasn't until I was fully upright that I felt extreme tiredness. "You are the Clerc of Chaos," I accused.

"I am. You never answered my question: Who are you? I know you rely heavily on your spirit. I sensed that the moment you got here. Now, now, don't get up." He threw a mace at me and I raised my macuahuitl to hit it off to the side. I didn't see it before, but it was his plan and I saw that he was no longer in front of me. I felt him appear behind me and he shoved a hand in the same spot as before. It burned. It hurt. I trembled. This pain was unlike anything I have ever felt. I started to let out a cry of pain and then quieted as the pain spread throughout my spirit. I felt my spirit twist and felt a crack that I didn't even know was possible. I collapsed and then he removed his hand. Fujin can not feel this. I shut down our bond so neither of us can transmit things to one another. What technique was this? I lied there, trying to breathe. This can only be the thing my ancestors have sworn to get the universe rid of. My eyes widened in realization. I called out to them, Great ancestors of mine.

They responded, We are here and see your pain. In a panicking voice, they said, We thought that we had gotten rid of this cruel technique. But he must be the only one who knows. Up! Run! You cannot be close to him in your state. Up child of Tliltekalli!

I. Can't. I feel like I was stuck in mud.

Call for help!

I closed my eyes, put a hand on the earth (but underneath my back), and focused. I, Teoitotia, transfer you to my mate, Spirit of the Wind, Ehecatl.

Teoitotia!

Then, I no longer heard them. I opened my eyes as I heard Havik walking in front of me, "I thought the realms no longer had beings like you. You fascinate me. Are you the last of your kind? I may even enslave you. If there are more of your kind, then there is no need for you. Who are you? Do you know where the Kamikusari is?" I tried to speak but nothing came out. He menacingly said, "Oh, I know you do, but you wouldn't be the only one. Since you are here, perhaps this would help." He walked forward and I knew he was going to do it again. I tried to crawl away, but my strength failed.

"Wait. How do you know that technique?"

"I survived the slaughter that a group of people conducted so the technique would be wiped out form the minds of the living. Yet," he knelt in front of me, "you know about this technique. Who are you? Did your ancestors also survive the slaughter?" I didn't answer. "Don't be rude. Answer me." I kept quiet and dreaded the pain that would come. He harshly grabbed my shoulder and I growled, gripping his wrist as hard as I currently could. But it was no use and he shoved his hand in me. My eyes rolled to the back of my head and I couldn't even scream. Burning. Pain. I couldn't think anymore and blacked out.

...

Fujin's POV:

Raiden and I were at the Sky Temple and just about to leave. The Special Forces were on their way. Sarutahiko was going to bring them along with Liu Kang and Kung Lao. I suddenly felt empty and clutched my chest. I felt fear. Emptiness.

I felt Raiden's hand on my shoulder. "Fujin? Are you alright?"

Fear and anxiety were starting to take over me. "I-I don't know. I can't feel her anymore." I called out, My love? No response. "Something is wrong. I can't feel her anymore."

Raiden let me go as I was more stabilized. "Stay here, I'll go on ahead," he ordered.

"No. You cannot go in alone."

He teleported us to the previous site where the Kamikusari was held. We looked at the dead soldiers and felt a tinge of sadness. Then, we walked on ahead. I desperately tried to search for Teoitotia. When we were a bit deeper in the base, I said again, "I can't feel her." I felt her nearby, but I could feel her feelings, not anymore. The last thing I felt was her fear and shock. It didn't feel like she was dead, but more like I was attached to a hollow being. The base was destroyed and trashed. Blood was everywhere. I looked at Raiden and he was staring at a reinforced metal door. We looked at each other and nodded. We used our mastering over our natural element to break it down.

Dust particles flew around and when they cleared, my stomach sank. If I had animal instincts like the Tliltetepah, I would have whimpered. I stood paralyzed as I looked over my mate. She was limp and pale, leaning back against the wall and trying to breathe normally. I tried to reach to her via my spirit, but something was off, like she was offline. I regained my posture once I felt someone behind me. I quickly turned and hit him hard in the chest, knocking him back and out.

I heard Raiden say, "Havik, release her at once."

I turned back and Havik responded, "Earthrealm's protectors. You are quite late, as usual I suppose. Give me the Kamikusari and I will gladly let her go as she is."

Raiden and I hesitated. Havik couldn't have it, but if he didn't, who knows what he could do to Teoitotia. I would gladly give him the relic if it means Teoitotia is safe from further harm, but I couldn't control the earth and neither could Raiden. Havik sighed and grabbed Teoitotia's collar. It pained me even more to see that she didn't fight back. I growled at him; something I picked up from my mate and her people. I didn't notice my stepping forward until Raiden stopped me. Raiden put our a hand, palm down. "There is no need for further aggression, Clerc of Chaos."

"Is she a native of Earthrealm, Raiden? Did you know spirit-wielders still existed?"

"That information is not my right to share."

Teoitotia's POV:

I heard Havik sigh and say, "Oh, Raiden. You can be an orderly pest sometimes." He grabbed me by the back of my neck and moved me to my knees. I was too weak to even fight. I was cold and fatigued. "This is your last chance," he warned them.

"Neither of us can physically obtain it," Fujin informed him.

Havik said in an intrigued voice, "Oh?"

"Give it a few minutes. We'll call of the reinforcements and get it for you, if you let her go and stay in this area."

I struggled to speak and managed to get out, "No Fujin. Don't give him anything. They'll never hand it over. I'll fight you both."

I felt Havik's grip on me ease and then he gripped hard on my shoulder. I felt his hand go back in and manipulate my spirit. My eyes widened and I looked up at the Spirits. I felt like I was going to vomit...and I screamed, not a high pitched scream like one would expect a female to sound like, but deep like a male. My body shook as if I was having a seizure. My scream was continuous as I tilted my head back and my eyes rolled to the back of my head. I felt as if my spirit broke into pieces. I gagged loudly as my spirit showed itself to the world and broke into a jaguar, coyote, serpent, deer, eagle, and my female and male counterpart. All of them cried out in pain and for help.

I managed to hear Raiden and Fujin; Fujin screamed at Havik, "STOP!" I heard the pain in his voice. Raiden yelled, "ENOUGH."

Havik removed his hand and my spirit went back into my body. I made no sound as I tilted forward and fell on my face onto the floor. My eyes drooped as I fought against unconsciousness. I panted heavily. I tried to move any muscle, but nothing worked. It was over. I was dead. I was going to be written out of existence.

Fujin's POV:

I wanted to cry. This couldn't be happening. I saw her limp form, struggling to stay alive. I looked back at Havik. He said, "It feels amazing to do that. Please tell me she's not the only one of her kind."

"We will hand the Kamikusari over," Raiden eventually agreed.

I looked over at him. Raiden-

We cannot let her die. I feel no deep connection to her, but you do. That is enough.

Teoitotia's POV:

I cried out to the earth, Great mother earth, please comply with my will one last time. I willed the earth to throw me up on my knees. It did so and I grabbed onto Havik's arm as if I was going to throw him over my shoulder. I started chanting in my mind. Everyone was thrown off. I turned my fingernails into claws and dug them into Havik. He growled in pain. I looked up at Fujin with sad and drooping eyes. I was starting to have a difficult time distinguishing reality from imaginary.

"Nimitztlazohtla, notlazohtzin. Ma xinechpohpolhuia nimitztlatlauhtia." ("I love you, my love. Forgive me, I beg you.")

His eyes expressed deep pain and I lifted my right leg so my foot was properly on the ground. With all the force I had left, I pushed against the earth so Havik and I could go back. We Nahua peoples don't say we are sorry. That would be too easy and deceiving. We beg for forgiveness.

Fujin's POV:

Raiden's and I's eyes widened in surprise as a orange portal appeared behind them. I saw them fall back and I reached forward to pull my love back. Havik yelled out, "NO!" Then the portal closed and I was too late. I stumbled to a stop and looked back at Raiden. "Where did they go?" I quickly asked.

Raiden was in shock. "I don't know."

I turned back and fell onto a knee. I hung my head and covered my eyes as tears fell, both from sadness and from anger. I felt Raiden put a hand on my shoulder and he softly said, "Do not give up."

My spine tensed as I felt something. Great Lord, can you hear us? I looked up. It was Teoitotia's ancestors.

"I'm going to inform them," Raiden informed me.

I was slightly confused, but felt as reinforcements arrived. Once Raiden left, I talked back, How are you all here?

Teoitotia dropped us a while ago and we went to search for you for she left us to you. We helped her summon a portal to Chaosrealm to lock Havik in, but she went with him. We beg for your forgiveness, Great Lord.

I wiped my eyes and stood up. You are forgiven. I walked out and made sure I had a stern face. I walked past everyone. Sarutahiko put a hand on my shoulder. "Fujin-" I put my hand on his and continued walking so his hand fell. Then I teleported to Tliltetepetl.

...

I found Teoitotia's mother in her residency with her mother and brother. I stopped at the doorway and said, "Nitze. I apologize for the intrusion."

Teoitotia's mother moved the rug aside and saw me. "Niltze, Fujin. Of course you are not intruding. Where is Teoitotia?"

"I need to speak to you alone," I said in a low voice.

Her other family members stood up and walked towards me. The matriarch said, "You may have the house to speak, Great Lord." To her daughter, she said, "We'll be at Malinalkalli."

Once they left, I stepped inside and turned to Teoitotia's mother. I dreaded to tell her. "What is it?" she asked. "Is it Teoitotia?" Pain clouded her eyes. "I cannot feel her. Where did she go?"

"Havik appeared in the Special Forces base looking for the Kamikusari. She went to check it out on her own and was disabled by him. She and your ancestors created a portal to Chaosrealm and she fell in with him. He used something on her and she couldn't fight at all. She looked ill. I think it had something do with spirits."

"How did he do it?"

"He put his hand through her, but I do not know what he did exactly."

Her face fell in sorrow. I saw tears develop. "We call it 'spirit breaker.' You use your own spirit to break another apart...permanently."

"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion and fear.

"The spirit is a malleable thing, but with that technique, it prevents it from being whole again. Think of it like freezing rubber and then ripping it apart." Tears fell. "Our ancestors said that no one should feel pain or suffer to their miserable ends like that, so they banned the technique and killed those who knew it in other realms. They took extreme measures to make sure it was wiped out from the universe. Yet, it seems like Havik knew it."

"How do we fix it?" I asked with urgency.

She started sobbing. "You can't. The more it's used, the more insane the victim becomes until they become truly insane. The spirit is broken and eventually it will cease to exist." She sobbed in her hands and I pulled her in for a hug. I was trembling in fear and a large part of me was in denial. I held her and then she said, "My child in gone! How cruel destiny has treated me!" I tightened my hold as my own tears fell. Then, her blood relatives came into the home. I closed my eyes.

Her mother asked, "What happened? Is it Teoitotia?"

Teoitotia's mother threw herself into her mother's arms and continued to sob. I couldn't handle it and walked out of the house, making sure no one saw my face. I shifted into the winds and flew in a furry. The whole world would eventually feel my sorrow and anger. I know that no one deserved it, but I couldn't help it.

I feel like I was being dragged through the deepest, darkest, and cruelest parts of hell. I would rather die repeatedly for the rest of eternity.

...

After a while, I materialized on a hill near Tlitetepetl. I was on my knees, looking up at the sky. I cannot give up. We promised to always fight for each other. There has to be something that fixes this. I will continue to fight, my love. Teoitotia viewed the Elder Gods in disgust. I never knew why and she would never tell me. So I called out to anything or anyone else that was benevolent and understanding, Help. Anything. Anyone. Help. My mate was taken from me. Help. I'll do anything. My last tear fell and I fell forward onto the ground and fell asleep.

... ... ... ... ...

One Week, Two Days Later...

My bond with her still existed, but it felt like it was put on hold. I was emotionless, but I have been looking into everything that would bring her back. Today, we get her back. Havik couldn't get the rest of the Kamikusari, so Outworld, Orderrealm, and Earthrealm have decided to join forces to immobilize and lock Havik in Chaosrealm for a long time. Closing the border between it and Orderrealm may be almost impossible, but it can be locked enough to slow any Chaosrealmers down from entering any other realm. We were in Orderrealm. I was alone and waiting for all the fighters and magicians to organize. Tliltekalli warned me that my Teoitotia would never be the same, if not, insane. I was in denial, but no one bothered, or were to scared, to stop me. My job was to storm into Chaosrealm, get Teoitotia, and get out. I told Raiden that I could fight, but he said that someone had to get Teoitotia for she could be more heavily guarded once Chaosrealm realized that we were attacking one of their most essential borders. Groups were formed to get the Kamikusari Havik had stolen, to give them back to their respective realms.

"Fujin." I opened my eyes and looked at Raiden. "It's time."

I nodded at him and walked to my position. I knew that everyone was surprised I was taking a part in this mission, since I usually guard the Jinsei as Raiden does the heavy lifting. I looked up as the portal opened to Chaosrealm. The forces charged and gave out battle cries. I simply walked into it. I sensed for my love's presence and panicked inside when I couldn't find anything. I looked up at the largest "building" and teleported near it. Chaosrealmers charged at me and I easily pushed them aside. I walked into the "building" and started to look around. I grew frustrated when I asked around and no one gave a response. Then I thought, She wouldn't be hidden up. I started to walk down into the ground. I found a door that looked to simple. I threw the Chaosrealmers that charged at me and forced my way behind the door. I immediately stopped and took in the chaotic room. There was lava below and I looked up at the guards, which were gigantic shokan-like creatures. One of them said, "Oh look! An intruder! I sense a good fight coming!" I looked past them and saw a dark area with familiar sandals. I looked up at the creatures in cold eyes. "You have something of mine," I growled. I didn't let them respond and took them head on.

I knocked them out and walked up to the dark area. Once I got a better look at the figure, I saw that it was my Teoitotia. She was chained to the wall. I noticed that her garments were ripped and messy. Also, she didn't move a bit when I approached her. "My love." I put a hand on her cheek and she still didn't wake up. "What have they done to you?" I went grabbed the cuff that was around her neck and broke it off. Then one on her wrist. I carried her as I broke off the other ones. I secured her over my shoulder and walked down the platform. I walked out with ease and knocked out the Chaosrealmers in my way. Once I was out the "building," I looked up at the sky and sighed in relief. Then I teleported us back to Earthrealm.

We emerged at the Sky Temple (reflex I guess) and I walked up to our room.

Kojin must have sensed my return and asked, Is she here?

Yes, but she's unconscious.

Ah.

I opened our door and put her down on the low bed. I removed her garments and put on a simple white loincloth and wrapped a cloth to cover her breasts. Her battle outfit was ripped, I assume that there was no saving it, but I didn't throw it away. I stayed by her side and closed my eyes.

...

Raiden's voice woke me up. "Is she alright?"

I stood up to open the door. Kojin and Sarutahiko were there, too. I stood back and they entered the room. Raiden entered last and closed the door. I told them of the technique used on her when I came back after my...breakdown.

Sarutahiko approached her sleeping form. "Does she feel any different?"

"The bond is still closed."

"Is it still hollow?"

"It feels different. Dare I say, broken, but there. It's hard to explain."

"I understand," he responded and then he backed off.

"Could we possibly repair her with our magic? Together? They say that it is irreversible, but what if being of our power had our input in her recovery?" Kojin pondered.

"It could work," offered Raiden. "We thought that the Revenants could have only been saved by reversing Quan Chi's magic, but mine was enough. It could work."

"What do you say, Fujin?" asked Kojin.

I leaned down near her face. Wait. What if she has already been driven insane for a while? Her spirit could already be breaking down. It was her ancestors.

I told my brethren, "Her ancestors question her sanity. They worry that her spirit is already breaking down."

"Does it feel different?" asked Raiden.

Something feels off. She's already broken, but we cannot tell if she is insane. She needs to awaken. Spirit degradation begins once they are insane for at least a year. Time runs differently in Chaosrealm, she could be well into the equivalent of a year. But, spirits break down at a pace depending on their strength. The stronger they are, the slower it degrades.

I communicated that information to the others. I thought for a moment. "It's worth a try," I decided. I looked at Teoitotia's face. Hold on, my love.

Then, her eyes fluttered and slowly opened. We became alert. She looked at me and I didn't say anything. She saw the others and looked back at me. Her ancestors spoke, She is not well! Back- In a moment, I saw her eyes reflect anger and she showed her teeth, canines already sharpening. I backed off and fell backwards before she could swipe her clawed hand across my face. She growled menacingly and rapidly stood up, crouched and ready to fight. She looked out our window and ran towards it. Raiden, Sarutahiko, and Kojin ran ahead to capture her, but she ran through the window and out into the world. I quickly recovered and ran after her. I followed after the other and teleported midair to where I could sense her (more or less). As the wind, I saw as she ran aimlessly in the forest. She wasn't running home, nor any place she knows of. Definitely not 100% sane. That much I could accept. Kojin appeared as a burning fire and stopped her. She growled and ran back, but Raiden blocked her. She tried going to her left, but Sarutahiko stopped her. She ran the opposite way, but I appeared, hands up. "Teoitotia-" She growled and moved to look at each of use directly. She tried escaping our circle, but we combined forces and prevented her from leaving. Then, she turned to Kojin as he let out small flames, for we were closing in on her. She growled and jumped towards him, claws out and aimed for his chest. Then, a large rock hit the side of her face and she went limp. She fell onto the floor and I moved by her side, checking for any injuries.

"I'm sorry, Fujin," Sarutahiko apologized.

I put a hand up. "I understand."

Raiden asked Kojin, "Are you alright?"

"Yes, but I'm not the one we should worry about. I saw it; I saw insanity in her eyes. My apologies Fujin, but she's gone, for now."

I picked her up once I saw no injuries and turned to Raiden, "We should try that magic of ours."

We teleported back to the Sky Temple and walked into Teoitotia and I's room. I set her down and Sarutahiko threw liquid metal out towards her. He made handcuffs from it also tied her ankles together. He looked at me, "We cannot be too careful."

I nodded and said, "Let's begin."

We moved so two were by both of her sides. Then, we began chanting our spells for healing the greatest of injuries. I made a face of frustration when nothing seemed like was happening. When we stopped, we stood, silent, waiting for a reaction. None came, I approached her side and looked over her face. I sensed her spirit to see if it was whole. Her ancestors informed me, Nothing has changed. I replied, Perhaps her sanity is back? But I knew that there was no use.

We waited for her to wake up and when she did. I had hope. She opened her eyes and moved them around...too rapidly and aimlessly. My hopes that this worked held on by a thread. She looked somewhere and then closed her eyes with a sigh. "Why am I here, dog?" She chuckled. "Do you need bodyguards? From me?" My stomach sank at her words. Raiden put a hand on my shoulder. Then, her face fell into one of confusion and she breathed too heavily for her state. I put my hands on her face and turned it so she faced me directly. I put on a stern face and asked, My love? It was no use, her eyes rapidly moving. I removed my hands. She continued to speak, "You talk too much. What have you done to me? A new personnel? Look at him go. It's dark in here, turn up the damn lights. How is there a tree in this hideous place?"

I stood up. Sarutahiko said, "She may be experiencing hallucinations. Either way, we are not strong enough to make a spirit whole."

Raiden nodded in agreement. "We can continue to look. Don't lose hope."

I asked, "Was the mission a success?"

Raiden nodded. "Havik is gone...for now. We are at peace again."

I nodded and Sarutahiko asked me, "Would you like me to remove the cuffs?"

"Please do."

Once he removed them, they left the room and closed the door. I can only hope she won't lash out again. I knelt down by her and I knew that it was meaningless, but I continued, "My love. It's me, Fujin. Ehecatl. Quetzalcoatl." Her eyes were still moving around, but she said, "How dare you mention that name. Mention him or the others again, and I will kill you. I am your opponent." I felt a tear fall. Even when she was insane, she still knows me by name. I told her, "I promise to find a way to save you before you are taken from me forever." She rambled on and fell asleep.

One Month Later...

I had taken Teoitotia's mother to visit her. A part of her was glad she saw her child physically, but seeing her in such a state broke her heart. We had decided to move Teoitotia in an underground house near Tliltetepetl. Her mother and I cared for her there. I bathed her while her mother fed her, which was difficult. She didn't lash out anymore... Raiden eased my duties and Sarutahiko took most of my responsibilities.

It was nighttime, and I was taking care of her. I was starting to fall asleep when she woke up, crying in frustration. "Why won't you let me sleep, Chaos?! Just give me a night! Give me a damn night! A night!"

Her back arched and I tried soothing her by saying, "It's alright my love, you can sleep. Sleep. You have your night."

She stopped moving, but moved her head. "I promise to not fight. Just let me sleep. Let me sleep! Let. Me. Sleep!"

I caressed her face. "Shhh." I was heartbroken, seeing her like this.

She calmed down and closed her eyes as if she fell asleep. But it didn't last for long. She opened her eyes and growled, "I swear to lock you all up! You will not see anything nor do anything! You will be stuck in your own minds! You are all the same! I swear to lock you up for the rest of time! You will not be seen again and my descendants will only know you by stories! Then, we will all fight at the end of time in a glorious battle! I was ready to face death by the time I was born! You all squirm at the thought of your own demises, how pathetic."

I blinked at her speech. It was random, but there was some thought put into it. She stopped her rambling and fell asleep for the rest of the night.

... ...

Two Months Later...

She became less vocal and I could tell that her spirit degraded a bit. I became depressed. Currently, it was almost sunrise and I was by my love's side. In a few hours, it would be time for her next bath, but she needed to be fed first. Her mother stood by the doorway. I stood up and looked at her. She told me, "You can rest now." I nodded my head and walked out.

I took a step out and then another. Sarutahiko and Raiden were in front of me. I was surprised and caught off guard. I looked at them. "What is it?"

Sarutahiko responded, "Forgive us." And I blacked out.

...

I woke up...in the Jinsei. I felt rejuvenated and glided down. Raiden was there to greet me. "How are you feeling?"

"Physically? Better. Why did you do that?"

Kojin walked in. "Because you wouldn't come back to recharge enough."

I looked at them, confused. "Pardon me?"

Kojin walked out and Sarutahiko walked in, saying, "You need to come back and go into the Jinsei more. You were starting to...degrade, for the lack of a better word. Don't you see? You were caught off guard when we went to see you. Had you been charged, you would have felt us the moment we arrived within a certain radius."

Raiden continued, "You need to come back more often, or we will force you."

I held up my hands in surrender. "I understand and will do so."

"Good."
