Miranda put her key in the door and took a deep breath.
She had been calling Bens's phone since she was on the way home.
If she wasn't so scared about what she would find when she opened the door, she would have been furious with him.
She opened the door and walked in.
"Baby is that you?" She let out that breath that she had been holding.
"So you are up and alive?"
Ben got off the couch and walked over to her
"Yea why wouldn't I be" her face went from calm to pissed in seconds .
"Ok clearly you're mad." She didn't even have words for him
Here she was driving home by herself late at night and what was he doing watching tv and not answering his damn phone
Ben reached for her arm but she walked away.
"Miranda baby what's wrong?"
Miranda climbed the steps to their bedroom thankful that tuck wasn't there because she was about to go OFF on Benjamin Warren.
Ben followed her
He knew what was coming. Miranda rarely fussed at him but when she did...oh boy!
Miranda took another deep breath. Then walked to Ben and stood in front of him.
He tried to grab her waist but she moved his hands away.
"Where is your phone?" Miranda asked
"Why-"
"I'm going to ask you again where is your phone Benjamin Warren"
"It's right there" he said as he pointed to the phone sitting right on the nightstand
"Ok so go grab it"
Miranda was trying so hard to keep her cool.
If Miranda wasn't pregnant with his child she probably would've let this slide.
Ben picked up his phone and saw 15 missed calls from Miranda 5 voicemails and 4 text messages.
"Oh my God I am so so sorry babe I didn't even hear my phone ringing"
"What if I needed you Ben, and you were downstairs on the couch watching tv"
"Miranda babe come here" Ben grabbed her and put her back to his chest
She tried to wiggle away but Ben held on to her tightly
"Can you forgive me please, I promise it won't happen again."
He kissed the side of her neck then she walked away disappearing into the bathroom to take a shower.
Ben was left punching air. Damnit Ben
He went down stairs and turned off all the lights and made sure all the doors were locked and the alarms were on.
He then walked to his baby girls room and stood in the middle
He did this every so often just because it felt so unreal. He had dreamed of days like this, when he had someone to call him daddy.
He walked back to the room and saw Miranda in Bed pretending to be sleep he slid behind her and tried to hold her.
"No move I'm still mad."
"You can't go to sleep mad at me baby you know that."
"And I won't let you so get up."
"No."
He walked around to her side of the bed and pulled her legs down on the ground
"What are we doing"
"Going somewhere"
"It's almost 11 pm"
"I know get your coat and follow me"
They both went outside and got into the car
Ben was taking her to their spot
It was neutral their neutral.
Once they arrived Miranda sighed
"Baby I'm really really sorry I didn't answer the phone it was honestly an accident"
He was behind her kissing her softly on the neck
"Ughhh you know I forgive you Babe I was just frustrated and tired, and I needed to talk to you."
"Well what happened"
"One of my surgeries went left"
"I'm so sorry to hear that"
Her stomach fluttered , her and Ben felt her kick
"You know something?" Miranda asked
"This pregnancy has been nothing short of amazing."
"Oh really, well umm you know I would like a little credit"
She rolled her eyes but he was right aside from today Ben had been a great supporter through out everything
She turned around in his arms abruptly
"You have been nothing short of amazing. I love you so much."
"I love you more babe"
Just as they were about to kiss it started to rain
"Let's get you home so you can sleep"
Once they were home Miranda and Ben were laying in bed whispering sweet nothings to each other
She felt a sharp pain go through her stomach and winced
"You ok?" Yea I just have to go pee.
Just as she walked into the bathroom and closed the door she felt a pop and water started running down her legs, her eyes got wide.
She yelled BEN
He burst in
"What is it baby" he looked down and his eyes got big
"My water just broke"
