"Woah." Was all Summer said.

"I know right?" Morty groaned. "This is supposed to be Morty's mindblowers. You mindblew Rick?" She smirked. "Mindblower?" Morty raised an eyebrow. "That's what he calls it? Whatever. Can you tell me how do I watch this thing?"

"Are you sure you, like, actually want to know?" Summer crossed her arms and leaned on the doorframe. "Rick could wake up any second now. The reason you managed to do this was that you caught him off guard. You might not be so lucky next time. Also, if it wasn't that bad-like an accident- he would have let you know."

It took him a second to realize that she was right."I'm actually not so sure anymore. But.. tell me anyway." She looked at him for a second before she shrugged and grabbed a helmet-like machine with a sly grin. "Whatever lets you sleep at night" She said, which only earned a sharp "Shut the fuck up" from his younger brother.

The next few days were hard.

Hard to ignore Rick. According to Summer, that part wasn't "necessary", but to Morty, it was. He couldn't look Rick in the eye and not think about how he F'ed up the whole thing. Rick was the smartest man in the universe. He probably knew something that wanted to erase that memory from his mind. And he was -unfortunately- really good at reading people. So Morty skipped on adventures, Avoided being in the same room as him as much as possible, and when he couldn't, didn't make any eye contact and made the conversations short. He hadn't noticed how Rick was everywhere. So his room was the safest place to go. Right now, he was sitting on his bed, looking at the drawer in his room, where he kept the vial of Rick's memory. He wasn't even sure he got the right memory. Since Rick hadn't mentioned it anywhere, it was probably it. But again, he hadn't talked to Rick much since the accident. He let out a frustrated grunt. What had he gotten himself into? He didn't watch the memory. He kept thinking back on what Summer said and wondered if it was worth the risk. A loud sound made him jump.

"Mortyyyyyy."Said a too familiar voice." C'mon Morty. We-we gotta go on an adventure Morty " Morty mentally facepalmed. This couldn't be good. Rick grabbed him by his hand and started dragging him towards a portal. "Ow, Rick! Let me go!" He yelled. "No" he said blankly, tugging even harder.

They got through the portal and Rick let go of his hand. Morty glared at him, even though he couldn't see it and was practically meters away from him already. He jogged to keep up with him. "Why?" He said bitterly. Rick took a swig from his flask. "Camouflage" he answered, his voice void of any emotion. Then, sped up, so that Morty was running at this point. His answer hurt Morty, more than it should have. But he didn't say anything. Instead, he scanned the environment. The sky was a nice familiar blue, but there weren't many trees or plants in sight. Just a few glowing orange flowers every now and then. Also purple chirping birds that flew in groups. Their tune gave Morty a calming effect. There were tall mountains further away that looked like... cubes? He suddenly crashed into Rick, not noticing he'd stopped. He looked ahead and saw a normal looking village.

"I have a deal with someone behind that hill" He coldly said. "Don't come with me. Stay here and whatever you do, DON'T TALK TO ANYONE". And with that he stormed off. Morty watched as Rick quickly disappeared among a small crowd of aliens with his fists clenched and his lab coat moving behind him. Morty let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. What was with him? Did he know?

Not seeing anything else he could do, he sat down on the ground and watched the people. Do you call a bunch of aliens people?

Morty shook his head and breathed in the atmosphere. The oxygen was a bit richer on this planet. It felt weird. He thought back on Rick. Aside from the whole kissing thing, there's been a weird tension between them the last few weeks. They went on adventures, yes. But Rick didn't call him unless he really needed him. This time it just seemed silly. Clearly he suspected something was going on, but Morty had to know how close it was to the truth. He was suddenly afraid of Rick. He would have laughed at the thought a few months ago. But now he felt really alone. Dealing with Rick was a bitch. Why did he have to be so complicated?

"Hey there!"

His first instinct was to avoid the voice calling him.'Don't talk to anyone.' Rick's warning rang in his head. But he relaxed when he recognized his own voice. He looked up to the Morty approaching him. He looked strangely enthusiastic. The Morty slowed down to sit next to him. He smiled brightly." Hey, pal. Whatcha doing here alone?"

He smiled back." Oh h-hey. My Rick had a deal here or something. He t-told me to stay here."

The other Morty pinched his nose and shook his head in disgust. "Ugh. Ricks, huh?"

He giggled. "I know, right? Speaking of, where's yours?"

The Morty shrugged it off ." Mine left me here too. It's just nice to see a familiar face, you know?"

"Yeah, like really familiar. A-face-you-see-everyday-in-the-mirror kind of familiar."

The Morty laughed. "You know it. Oh, wait. what-what's that on your neck?" He tilted his head curiously to have a closer look.

Morty froze and blinked in confusion. "I- I don't know. What is it? ". He leaned even closer, so that Morty could feel his breath on his skin. Why was it cold?

"Yeah, stay riiiight there." Morty could feel him smiling. Before he could ask anything, he felt a sharp pain in his neck and let out a supprised cry. He felt dizzy and a little nauseous.

"Morty you idiot!" Was the last thing he heard before he lost consciousness and everything went black.
