A/N: For simplicity's sake, anything written in "italics" shall be the words of Calypso. Lyrics sung by Jones will be written "normally". Words sung by both at the same time shall be in "bold italics". No other characters will have dialogue. As for what's going on, imagine the scene of Calypso being freed in the movies combined with the Davy Jones lyrics, if you watched those.

"Cruel and cold, like winds on-the sea~,"

"Will you ever return to me~?"

"Hear my voice," She sighed.

"Sing with-the tide~."

"Our love will never die."

Lonely, desperate, nervous indeed.

He recalled the words, apparently.

His mind roared with doubt.

But it all washed out,

When She smiled at him indulgently.

"Over waves and deep in-the blue~,"

"I will give~ up-my heart for you."

"Ten long years, we'll wait to-go by,"

"Our love will never die."

His heart beat loudly nearby.

Smile askew, She stood and She grew.

A terrible maelstrom began to brew.

Neither fearful nor shy,

She sang from on high,

And the doubt of Davy Jones was through.

"PLAY THE SONG YOU SANG LONG-AGO!"

She grins as She grows.

"AND WHEREVER MY STORM MAY BLOW,"

"YOU WILL FIND THE KEY TO-my heart,"

His voice caught with a start.

"WE'LL NEVER BE APART!"

Then judgement began, 'twas finally at hand.

With wind and rain too strong to stand.

Water so sharp,

Piercing skin and heart,

'Till all were rent apart.

"COME, MY LOVE, BE ONE WITH THE SEA!"

The Heathen Goddess decreed.

"RULE WITH ME FOR ETERNITY!"

"DROWN ALL DREAMS SO MERCILESSLY!"

Her apostle agreed.

"AND LEAVE THEIR SOULS TO ME!"

Like Her humanly bonds, their grand duet broke.

It was not Calypso who last spoke.

Having turned into crabs,

She had no means to gab,

And Her pets attacked men unprovoked.

Some tried to plea, others turned to flee,

Many shouts rang out in agony.

With the Goddess free from her rope,

The Lords lost all their hope,

And Davy Jones smiled in glee.

"WILD AND STRONG, YOU CAN'T BE-CONTAINED!"

His voice boomed in the rain.

"NEVER BOUND, NOR EVER CHAINED!"

"WOUNDS YOU CAUSE WILL NEVER MEND,"

As none would contend,

"AND YOU WILL NEVER END!"

In one great swarm She killed who remained.

With bodies and blood, the deck was stained.

His hungry beast

Swam swift underneath,

Eating men with large, sharp teeth.

"Cruel and cold, like winds on-the sea,"

"You have forever returned to me."

"Hear my voice," he sighed.

"I sing with-the tide."

"My love will never die," he cried.

Of life and hope, his ship had been drained.

Wild and strong, She had never been tamed.

As that which was She

Submerged in the sea,

A whisper came forth from the rain.

"Over waves and deep in the blue,"

"I've given up my heart for you."

"Ten long years we'll wait to go by,"

"Our love will never die."

A whisper echoed, "You will never die..."

As she commands, he lives where he stands.

Emotions awash like waves on the sands,

With empty chest,

Key pressed to bare breast,

He held his whole heart in his hands.

...

And he threw it over the side.

Yeah, when I first wrote this, I thought it was a lot better than it actually is. Now I see how much better it could be. It was my first major attempt at poetry (I wrote Happy Hearts after this chapter). My abilities will improve over time, but it's always good to have reminders of where things all started, upon which I can look back, smile, and say, "That's where I used to be. I've come a long way."

I thank anyone who actually read this, and I apologize if it fell short of expectations. Or worse, for those who know how music and poetry usually go on this site, if it matched expectations.

Fic's over. My first completed fic, actually. I hope you enjoyed at least the first four chapters.
