Chapter 97 - The End of the First Date

They held each other for the rest of the ride, staring outside at the passing scenery. Once they were dropped off at the Hidden Condo, the sun had just begun to set. Legosi led the tiger inside, tail wagging.

Bill looked around. "God damn, haven't been to this place in a good while."

"Yeah. Home sweet home." They ascended the steps and soon were in front of Legosi and Louis' room. "Try the key out, Bill," Legosi offered.

"You have it," the cat said, holding out his striped hand.

"Oh, right. Here you go." Legosi dropped it in his hand.

Bill took it and slid it into the lock. "Here we go..." One turn later, and the door swung open.

They shuffled in and took their shoes off, the door closing behind them. "Ahh," Legosi sighed. "Finally back."

Bill looked around, his hands on his hips. "Something happen here?"

Legosi looked ahead, spying the damage done to the blinds. "Oh, yeah. That was left over from Nori and Hachi's fight."

"Oh, right, right. Damn...sorry that happened," Bill said. His eyes continued to wander. "Looks like you cleaned up well."

"Yeah, Louis and I worked pretty hard, but we got it mostly spotless." They meandered in more, Legosi watching Bill and ready to respond to any more questions.

The cat's nose wiggled. "I forgot how small this place is."

"I think it's cozy," Legosi stated simply. "But it's definitely made for one person."

"Good thing you like being very close to Louis."

The wolf chuckled at that. "Yeah." He looked around and rubbed at his arm. "So...anything you want to do first?"

"Surprise me!" Bill leaned back against the table, which began sliding back a little.

"Oh, watch out!" Legosi moved to stop it with his palms, keeping his claws from touching the surface. "Don't wanna scratch it again..."

"Scratch it?" Bill tilted his head.

Legosi nodded. "Oh, you might find this funny. Here." Legosi beckoned him over and crouched down. He pointed up at the underside, now sporting deep claw marks. "I did that when Louis took me on the table. And considering what I did to your back...I might need to wear some protectors or something..."

Bill snorted and laughed. "Dang! You two seriously go hard!"

"Sometimes." Legosi stood back up and walked over to the couch where his laptop lay. "Here, let me show you what me and Kai have put together for that website."

Bill came over and took a seat next to him. "He was pretty sad to see me go, ya know."

"I bet...I hope he's close to the other members of his club at least." Legosi opened the laptop and typed his password in. "We'll all be together at the Meteor Festival, at least. Our first group date, I suppose."

"Mhm...Can't be too romantic openly there, though," Bill explained.

"We were at the dance. Although, I guess the festival has more than just students." Legosi opened up the work in progress site, waiting for it to load.

"Yeah but you don't think they'd be really confused if they saw you with me? They know your whole situation with Louis. I mean, people still talk about that play..."

"Oh, that's what you meant." Legosi traced his claws across the keyboard gently, making soft clicking noises. "I'll still be close with Louis, of course. It'll make up for last year when he was still recovering and couldn't go. I'm sure you want to be close with Pina, too."

"Of course I do," Bill said. "Maybe we'll just stick to our usual partners, then."

"I guess we'll see." The wolf leaned his head over and rested on Bill's head. "There'll probably be a lot of situations like this moving forward."

"What do you mean?"

"Events and stuff where it's only meant for couples and not, uh...quadruples? Whatever you'd call us." The website popped up and Legosi moved the mouse around a bit.

"Oh, yeah, yeah! But that's the fun of switching around! Dates will always be exciting now!"

"Yeah! We can do, uh, carnivore things!" The wolf's ears folded back slightly at how stupid that sounded.

"Do you even know any supposed 'carnivore things'?"

"Well, sure! Like, uh, how we were running earlier? Physical stuff like that. I mean that'd be fun with our herbivores but we don't have to worry about hurting each other when we do it."

"You literally fell and hurt your wrists."

"Yeah, but I did that to myself. Plus it wasn't that bad..." Legosi turned his hands up, looking at his palms and noting the slight damage.

Bill lifted his hands and kissed them gently. "Just be careful next time."

Legosi blushed. "Ah, of course. Thank you." He turned his attention to the screen. "So! This is what we have so far. It's mostly finished." He moved the cursor around, showing off how the various bug drawings animated when hovering over them. "See we got links to stuff like the kinds of bugs we have in stock, the instructions on how to take care of them, contact for the store."

Legosi could feel Bill move closer as he looked at the screen. "Mind if I control it?"

"Oh, sure, go ahead." He relinquished the control and slid the laptop so it laid across both of their laps.

Bill took his time at looking at every part of the site, hovering over each animation multiple times. It was clear he was really taking in the hard work.

"Oh, go to the credits page! I drew little animated heads of Kai and myself!" Legosi bounced up and down slightly as he said this.

The cat moved the cursor to click on the credits page. "Where are they?"

"Scroll down. At the bottom."

"Haha! Cute, man."

"Right? I'm actually pretty proud of it! Kai helped with the graphic design assets too. I forget what he said needed to be done yet. Just stuff to do with actually launching it, I think. I have to show Mel-san still, too."

"It's really informative, dude," Bill said. "You should get a raise."

"Well, he is gonna pay us when we get the site out. Plus I've been doing a lot more stuff. I mean, it really is just me and him working there." Legosi adjusted a bit and reached around Bill, grabbing his tail gently and stroking it.

Bill purred. "So it was just him before you worked there?"

"Yeah. He's looking for someone else to work there, too." The wolf looked over at him. "Hey...maybe you could work there, too!"

Bill blinked. "Me? Really? I don't know if I'd be good at remembering all that information..."

"You could just man the register and clean and stuff," Legosi pointed out. "And you'd learn along the way, if you want. About the bugs."

"And I'd make money..."

"You would!" Legosi stroked his tail more, enjoying the softness. "Well, anyway, that was pretty much it. We could put something on to watch now, if you want."

Bill scratched his chin. "So instead of talking to Melon..." He smirked. "I'll just talk to Mel."

Legosi chuckled. "I suppose you will!" He put the laptop aside and pushed his head up against Bill's chin. "Let's put something on the TV and cuddle and...yeah."

"And yeah?"

"You know..." Legosi moved closer and undid the top button of his own shirt.

"Mmm~ I'm not quite all the way smart yet. Might need you to spell it out for me. Or better yet, show me."

Legosi grumbled and picked up the controller. "Okay, I'll put someone on as background. Maybe it'll absorb some of our noise." He cycled through choices until he found a random holiday movie about the Meteor Festival. "There."

"Oh god, this one's so cheesy," Bill huffed.

"I used to like it as a kid. It's calming." Legosi cleared his throat and sat in Bill's lap.

The tiger purred a bit louder. "I can't get over these glasses."

Legosi smiled, shyly. "Should I leave them on?"

"100%."

"A night alone with your nerdy wolf boyfriend." Legosi reached down to the bottom of Bill's shirt and pulled it up.

The cat raised his arms as it slipped over. "Haha. I can't imagine what it must be like having antlers. I feel like I'd get things caught in them all the damn time."

"I suppose you get used to it. Louis seems to have. We never had too much trouble." Legosi went to unbutton his shirt more.

Bill began unbuttoning Legosi's shirt button by button. "Revealing this cream colored fur is thrilling."

"You think?" The wolf leaned back so Bill could work at it better without damaging the shirt.

"I do. Someone just bury my face in here." He leaned forward before he unbuttoned the next one, shoving his face into the dog's chest. "Hmmm~"

Legosi giggled and rubbed his ears. "So, is there anything you want me to call you? Since you have a whole thing for me, you know."

"A thing?" He wiggled his face a bit in his soft chest fur. After, he continued the unbuttoning process. "You got nice nips, too, wolf."

"Mmph, thanks. And I mean how you call me 'baby'. What should I call you when we get into stuff like this?"

"Mmm...do you have any ideas so far?"

"That's so like you~" Bill said, leaning forward and giving a lick to one of Legosi's nipples. "Not as hot as 'baby' though, right?"

Legosi shuddered at the lick and moaned. "Ah, th-that's why you're the one saying it." He shrugged the shirt off once the buttons were loose.

Bill began moving his hands around. "You're so..."

Legosi whimpered and pressed himself against Bill. "Wh-what?"

The feline grabbed his arms and craned his head around the wolf's body. "Oh! Hold on! I actually really like this scene."

"I thought you said this movie was cheesy." Legosi wrapped around him and closed his eyes.

"Does that mean bad?"

"Of course not." Legosi rubbed his chest against the tiger, his hard nipple sensitive against it.

"Haha! Always forget they break up at the beginning of the film!"

"Yeah, that's like the main plot thread." Legosi reached down and started to undo his belt, his pants getting tighter by the minutes.

Bill continued watching, his whiskers twitching. "Oh yeah, I read about this scene. A crew member left their drink in the shot."

Legosi sighed and turned a bit to face the screen. "I guess you want to watch the movie..."

"What?" Bill's eyes fixed on him once more.

"If you want to stop and watch the movie, we can. We can just cuddle."

The cat blinked. "Why would I want to do that?"

Legosi ran a hand on his chest. "Well, you started watching the movie."

"You obviously don't pick up signs very well, baby."

"What do you mean?"

"I was trying to get you to fight for it! You know! A little frustration! Lady tactics. They love it when you ignore them. I think."

Legosi grumbled. "I think there's a reason you had trouble with them. And now you have a male wolf in your arms."

"But you really wanted to get me naked right?"

The wolf nodded and prodded at Bill's pants button again.

"You wanted to tear these damn clothes off, huh?~"

"Not tear. Clothes are expensive." He got it undone and now worked at the zipper.

"You know what I mean, pup!" Bill growled, playfully.

"Are you going to take mine off afterwards?" Legosi asked, trying to slide Bill's pants off his strong legs.

"Oh, definitely," Bill purred. "Huh. Guess you're super used to being naked here, huh?"

The wolf nodded. "I spend more time here naked than not, I think." Legosi tugged and Bill was now only in his underwear.

"Did Louis do that, too?"

Legosi nodded. "Yeah. He'd lounge naked all the time so I just picked up on it."

"That's probably not something you expected, huh? When did that start?"

"Back at Cherryton, and no. Really, everything that's happened in the past year is something I had never expected. Ever. In my life." Legosi sighed softly and leaned back, giving Bill access to his pants.

The feline began his mission to remove them. "I mean...Louis is just so different now."

"Heh, yeah. Funny how we were all in the same club but...really we didn't know each other at all."

"And now we know each other inside..." Bill raised his brows.

Legosi chuckled and wiggled on his back. "Oh, that was lame, sweetie."

"Really, Legosi," Bill frowned, unamused.

"What?" Legosi smiled up at him.

"You didn't finish my..."

"...sentence? I wasn't sure if that was what we were doing. Sorry." Legosi held his hands up limp over his fluffy chest.

"Okay, now I'm satisfied," Bill grinned once more, continuing his mission.

The wolf shuddered each time the feline's claws brushed against his scars. It took all of his willpower not to sit up straight to be closer to him.

Legosi just nodded. "Thanks, Bill...so are we gonna lie down?"

"Yeah. On your back." He got up, grabbing his phone to bring with him and watched Legosi as he waited.

The wolf got down and rolled on his back, looking up at Bill. He smiled. "Wow, first time seeing you naked with my glasses."

"And? The verdict?"

Legosi nodded. "Really good. I've said it before, how I never really found interest in carnivores...but...I think I was only thinking of carnivore women...maybe..."
