Extreme Measurements

Chapter Six

It was the next day in the afternoon before Vance headed on over for work at the club. Doctor Debbie Walden was waiting for him in her office. While the detectives were listening in from the precinct for the Organized Crime Unit.

"Vance please come on in and relax. Would you care for a water?" She calmly asked with the question before getting started with the session.

"I love to Doctor." As he sits down in his chair to relax with crossing his legs. She hands him the cold bottle of water from the fridge.

"Okay now tell me how you're been the past few weeks?" She asked with her yellow pad on her lap of her office.

"My right leg has been acting up for the most part with the colder weather. Otherwise I am dealing with it doctor at the club. Even though of late I don't know you're been listening to the news about the four ex police women from the club having been killed? Everyone is beginning to wonder on what exactly is going on?"

"I heard. I wonder on whether the police have any leads at all Vance?" She will respond with the question.

"Don't know Doctor. I am more concern with who is going to be the next victim with everyone at the club that I know accept for the new woman named Amanda and her boyfriend joining the club. She seems to be a nice woman with a persona that will knock off anyone socks."

They both chuckled at the comment.

"When did you meet this woman Vance?" She asked calmly...

"Last night at the club when my leg was acting up. It was hard getting around until finally the waitress had shown up." He said with no emotion in his voice.

"So have you started going out with any women Vance? We have spoken about this in the past about you being lonely."

"I know and I haven't had the guts to asked anyone out with the fear of rejection." Vance cried out with his fear.

"Don't you think it's time that you at least try to date before you truly do die of being alone Vance? I know this is hard to understand at times. And I do know that working at the club for the Tiger Claw members does make you happy in general?"

"It does totally Doctor. Along with the interaction with the ex police officers basically in the same boat like myself with the disability. Otherwise I like to work, watch tv, swimming at the gym to help with the mobility of my right leg and the weaknesses with my hands holding glasses or any other objects especially a knife."

When Detective Elliot Stabler and his officers had heard that comment about the weakness in his hands. Someone had to be awfully strong to hold a gun straight in his hands without dropping it. "We need to find out on whether he sees his primary care doctor in regard to this weakness?" As they continued to listen in to the conversation.

"What does Doctor Davidson had to say on the subject Vance?" She needed to know with the answer for the detectives.

"It's genetic mostly with my father and brother before he died from the muscle deterioration of the disease doctor. And I am afraid that someday it's going to happen to me as well. " He said with sadness with his demeanor.

"Tell me something you never did tell me where this Doctor Davidson is located in the first place?

"I am so sorry Doctor Walden. He works out of the Bronx Medical Center clinic. Matter of fact I have an appointment sometime next week with him to it as with the right leg."

Meanwhile Detective Stabler had his team to check out the doctor in the Bronx both in person and Online for any additional Intel on his practice.

"It's good for you to be taking care of your health Vance. Have you tried to stop drinking entirely as well at the club?" Something that was bothering him all together since he was a heavy drinker after the time of his shooting and not able to go back to his job on the force.

"I am now down to two drinks a night. I am trying to cut it down Doctor, along with the heavy pain medication at times to make matters worse." He cried out with shifting his right leg to get into a better position.

"At least you're trying. However I do have one question in regard to your pain medication. Does it interfere with your memory at times?" She responded...

"No it doesn't. I am able to sleep just find and without any bad dreams. I did in the beginning for a few months until finally they stopped. I have been dream free of the shooting during the past few years doctor. Is there anything else you would like to know?" Sounding slightly annoyed...

"Actually I will end this now since we did cover a number of items for the session. If and when you're able to I would like to have you come back again in a few weeks depending on your schedule?"

"Sure enough Doctor." As he gets up from his chair to shake her hand feeling good about the session.

Elliot Stabler and his unit continued on with their work to gather the intel from Doctor Walden, his primary care physician and others. Since it was getting late he called his wife to find that she had arrived home with helping Noah with his school project. But first before leaving he needed to be sure that Amanda and Dominick were fine at the club with the undercover agent reporting back via the communications.

Walking out into the fresh and with calling his wife. She picked up from the kitchen table with her phone sitting on the counter as she goes to pick it up.

"Elliot how are you, baby?" She replied with Noah shaking his head with the romantic undertones.

"Coming home to check and see if you want me to pick up Chinese or you're cooking?" He had to asked...

"I am making a roast that will be ready in one hour or so. I am just helping Noah with a history project at school."

"Okay I will be home soon and I have some interesting information in regard to the case." He smiled with a couple of the personnel passing him by.
