Dear Readers,

How are you all doing?

I hope that the last few years of my absence have treated you well, but particularly 2020. I could blame some of my web silence on the pandemic (it wouldn't be true, but I could), but I'm not going to do that to you. You all deserve an explanation of why you haven't heard much from me for…I don't even know how long. You know it's too long when you can't even keep track.

In all seriousness, I hope that all of you are doing well and that the COVID-19 Pandemic has not hurt any of you too badly. To those who have been affected, I want to extend my heartfelt wishes of good health and prosperity for your future. I'm trying to do my part in helping stem the tide, but also trying to make whatever difference I can in the lives of people who are being affected by this pandemic – having to shelter in homes, social distance, mask up, all that good stuff.

Now, to explain why I've really been gone for so long.

I once again deeply, DEEPLY apologize for being away for so long. I've had so many things going on in my life that have taken me away from for admittedly far too long. I will be honest and say that a lot of them have been recreational activities, not at all helped out by the extensive video game backlog I've worked up over the years, some of which have been bought, but not played, for years on end!

Some of the games I've become enthralled with include Metal Gear Solid, Dragon Age, Deus Ex, and Tales.

There have also been a few recreational writing projects I've started but never really finished. Just little scribbles here and there that might become stories someday, or might not, depending on how things go.

TV has also been insane over the last few years – I've become familiar with a host of new (to me) anime that are good. Live-action and western animation shows as well. One of the shows I've enjoyed the most is Rick and Morty, which, by the way, is now my new favorite adult cartoon.

I also got really into Game of Thrones for a time. For a while, I thought I understood all the hype. Then it ended. Now, a big part of me wants to chuck all my DVDs and pretend the whole series never happened.

There's that, and I've been trying to spend time having fun with friends and family wherever possible – not just during the Pandemic, either.

My family also got a new dog a few years ago – an energetic, clever and loving black Labrador. My new little brother is our family's first indoor dog since I was in elementary school.

My friend and his wife also had a little girl a few years back and I've been trying to address my responsibilities as her honorary uncle and my friend's stepson's new godfather and hang out with the kids as much as possible.

Having said all of that, there ARE some important things I have been trying to take care of or help with that have occupied a lot of my time.

And here's something you guys will probably not believe: two years ago, I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease. For those of you who are unfamiliar, the disease is pretty self-explanatory: fat builds up in your liver and inhibits its function. Here's what that won't tell you: if too much fat builds up in your liver, it can lead to liver fibrosis, and eventually, cirrhosis.

But don't you guys worry too much – either about me or yourselves. It takes YEARS for this to happen to a healthy liver, and while it can be caused by alcohol, it can also be the result of just a really, really crappy diet, which…guilty as charged. And despite all that, I was actually able to beat it. Not only was I able to stop the progression of my fatty liver, but I was able to almost completely eliminate it!

I did this by just making some radical lifestyle changes. I wanted to be able to eat and drink and not have to worry as much about my liver, so I went ahead and just conducted a sort of "scorched earth protocol" on my own body. I started exercising more, I incorporated more vegetables in my diet, eating fewer fatty foods, and having lots of foods that I've done some research and found are good for the liver. Did you know that pomegranate juice has more antioxidants in it than most other fruit juices?

I started making smoothies, too. Just filling them with stuff that is good for you that would make good substitutes for things I normally have. I fill the smoothies with things that I knew would either lower cholesterol or blood sugar, or both. I also became much more familiar with the liver and how it works than I ever was before. You know, before fatty liver, I never realized how closely related AND connected the pancreas and the liver are.

Basically, I just did a bunch of things that people say helps with weight loss and liver health, and I figured if I did that, one or more of them was bound to work. Eventually it did, I lost all kinds of weight and was feeling MUCH healthier.

I've since gained a whole bunch of the weight back that I have lost. For that, I WILL blame the pandemic. But I am still keeping a close eye on my health. And once I've taken care of a few of the things I want to get done, I will get back to my diet and exercise regimen.

I also started up a blog that I left for a while due to craziness in society, but am planning to come back to very soon. It is a blog where I talk about the voice over industry and all the great people and things that have come to and from it. If any at all are interested, please do not hesitate to ask me about it and I will be more than happy to share the URL with you. I only hope that you guys find my blog as enjoyable as my stories.

I also DO have a day job that I keep. Honestly, in some ways it's an easy one, others kind of hard. Regardless, I've had to work it in order to make sure I have enough money to stay in my residence. You know how it is.

And finally, well…I have finally finished writing my first-ever novel. I've been working on it since I was in high school, which is right around the time that I started on this site and getting all of your wonderful feedback.

Which brings me to why I've come back.

I don't expect you to just jump right at my first-ever book after leaving you guys high and dry for so long. However, once my book is published, I would be honored if I could count all of you among its readership.

Now, I do not want any of you to think that this is the only reason I've come back.

Over the time I've been gone, I have honest to goodness felt bad about leaving you all in the lurch. You are the reason that I decided to pursue writing as a profession. I don't think I could have gotten as far as I have without the positive feedback and loving support I've gotten from each and every one of you.

That's right. I'm coming back, and I'm going to start working on fanfiction stories again. I miss hearing from all of you on what you think of my stories and what you think I should do with them. I miss hearing all the ideas you have for what I should do. I want to experience that again. And because of that, I want to give you guys all the stories you deserve and should have been able to read.

In addition to my work on , I will also be working on several other projects including a few video projects which may eventually end up on YouTube, along with a few ideas I had for online shows. You can also follow my blog and see what good stuff I talk about there. In fact, if you consider me worthy, I would love to hear your opinions on some of my blog posts.

To give you some idea what this blog will be like, I talk about all kinds of things related to the voice over industry. People who work in it, upcoming projects, beloved characters, things like that. I do posts about different voice over artists, character spots where I analyze a character and their portrayal, and reviews of voice acted material including movies, TV shows, video games and even radio spots. Please feel free to check it out if you guys want to see some of my less fiction-oriented writing and hear some recommendations on some amazing stuff you can check out!

In the meantime, you guys can consider this page, "Closed for remodeling." I will be doing a bunch of restructuring on my profile, cleaning up some of my better stories and taking some of my not-so-great stories down. I had considered leaving some of my older, more poorly written stuff up, but I am not sure it lends credit to my abilities as a writer to do so. I would more than welcome what you all think. I'll give you a quick rundown of my stories and what I plan to do with each of them.

My Kingdom Hearts Adventures

I will probably end up deleting this story. I started writing it back when I was in high school as a way to kind of live out my personal Kingdom Hearts fantasies. However, nothing much was done with it and looking back, it was not very well-written. As far as Kingdom Hearts stories go, you might see me put more effort into Kingdom Hearts: Knights than this. I do heartily appreciate what many of you have said about it, though.

Code: Insomnia

I feel like this story was a good concept, but poorly executed. Some of my older readers know what I'm talking about. I'll just put it that way and leave it at that for the sake of preserving all our sanities. I will not delete this story, but I will be re-vamping it to the point that it is almost unrecognizable. I appreciate all of your support for this story and I will do my best not to let any of you down. However, some of the less positive feedback on this story has been right on the money. But in my own defense, I was 16 when I started writing this and a lot of my other stories. What did I know?

Keitaro Urashima: Burn Notice

Probably going to be deleted. I doubt I need to say a whole heck of a lot more than that…

The Fullmetal Titan

I used to take pride in this being one of the only Fullmetal Alchemist x Teen Titans crossovers on the site, but now, I can't figure out why. I will probably release a WHOLE new story under the same title, but it probably won't be anything at all like this. Now that I know more about Fullmetal Alchemist and Teen Titans, I think I can write a much, much better story. If you so desire, I would be more than happy to put one together for you.

I'm Not Gonna Panik

Yeah…I don't know WHAT the hell I was thinking with this. Probably deletion fodder.

Jeremie's Revenge: Let the Bodies Hit the Floor

See above.

Michael Mamaril Obituary

I kind of wrote this piece for fun as kind of a way to play around with the obituary format when I was going to journalism school. I was saddened by the story of Michael Mamaril's death, but uplifted by the tribute Sony did to him in their "Long Live Play" ad campaign for the PlayStation. This story probably won't go anywhere, but don't expect anything new to be added to it.

Code: House

As you are all well aware, I like a good crossover as much as the next guy. However, I don't know where the hell I was going with this, or even how a crossover between these two franchises would even work. I don't think it's really worth continuing. Never mind the fact that I'm not a doctor and so I can't possibly write a read-worthy medical drama on the same level as David Shore.

Code Lyoko: Eezo

Now, I am happy about how this story turned out. I just wish I could have come up with a better title. I did have a pretty solid idea of the direction this story would go, and you guys would see a lot of pretty interesting stuff happen in there. You'd also see a lot of divergence from the original plots of both Code Lyoko and Mass Effect, but if you couldn't handle that, you wouldn't even be on this site, right?

Fullmetal Alchemist: The Second World War

This particular story had potential, but I feel that it probably wouldn't go anywhere fast, since in order to write it very well, I'd have to know a LOT more about World War II than I do. It's one of my favorite history subjects, but it covers a lot of different events, not to mention the ramifications resulting from the thing. All in all, I don't think I have enough of the know-how to make this a very good story. If anyone wishes to pick it up, please feel free. I'd love to see what you do with it.

Lyoko Files – Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes

I just kind of started writing this one day after writing a non-profit novelization of the beloved video game. I feel like it could go somewhere, so I won't take it down, but…don't expect an update to it anytime soon. I've got other stories which require my attention much more urgently.

The Terrible Child

Have to admit, I also have a good feeling about this one. Let's just say that there's a lot of stuff I plan to do with it, and I have not been able to get it out of my head. However, I'm not sure how soon you can expect an update to this. What I can tell you is that you will see additions to the story, from both inside and outside the Teen Titans cartoon canon. Namely, many more superheroes and supervillains will arrive to take part in the action, not to mention many of the ghosts from J's mysterious past. Expect some romance as well, including fan favorite romances of Robin/Starfire and Beast Boy/Raven.

Kingdom Hearts: Knights

I started this as kind of a revamped My Kingdom Hearts Adventures. It may get a re-write, or I may just keep it the same. I'm not entirely sure which. But it probably will not be deleted.

Assassin's Creed: Elf Song

Out of all my stories, this is honestly the hardest one to know what to do with. I am tempted to continue it, honestly. I had all of these ideas for what I would do with it. However, at the time I started writing it, I had not seen the ending for Assassin's Creed III, and the Assassin's Creed franchise had not gone as off the rails as I feel it has. If I do continue it, the story will probably be almost entirely independent of the Assassin's Creed franchise. And the only Assassins you're likely to see from the games will probably be Altair, Ezio and Connor. Other than that, the story will diverge quite a it from the original story of Elfen Lied, which I honestly think is an improvement. I liked the show and all, but let's face it – both the manga and the anime could have had a much happier ending.

GOING FORWARD

Now that you all know what you can reasonably expect for my current stories, I'll go ahead and tell you what you can expect for new projects of mine.

In addition to the book that I plan to self-publish and tell you all about, I also have a couple of other book projects in the works: a new science-fantasy book and a cyberpunk science fiction book.

While I will be writing on these more, I will also be working on a few new fanfiction ideas of mine – some that I just wrote for fun, and others that I will use to flesh out some of my ideas.

Untitled Arrowverse x Elfen Lied crossover

This will be a kind of standalone adventure in the Arrowverse, written in the same spirit as the Vixen animated episodes that accompany the Arrowverse canon. It will feature Elfen Lied protagonist Kaede, in an alternate timeline of her original story, created when Barry Allen/The Flash created the Flashpoint timeline. Kaede has dreams of her original life, and aims to live differently than what she sees in her dreams. Along the way, she will have encounters with people from her former life, and find new friends in the form of Team Arrow and Team Flash, with possibly more to come.

Untitled Multi-crossover

I came up with this idea as a way of fleshing out some ideas for my new cyberpunk story. It was originally going to be a Yu-Gi-Oh! story, but I've decided to make it a story that includes many of my other favorite franchises and some new ones I've gotten acquainted with. To say anymore would spoil the surprise, but when you see it, I hope you'll enjoy it.

Other Elfen Lied crossovers

Pretty self-explanatory. A while back, I thought of some other things that would make good crossovers with Elfen Lied. Most of those crossovers would involve Kaede getting a ticket out of the sucky life that she had been forced to live and being given a family that she could love and have love her back. The most persistent idea that I had for such a crossover would be something from Marvel Comics. I'm thinking either X-Men or Guardians of the Galaxy.

My original reason for starting this profile

Back when I was still in high school, I started the Kingdom Hearts fanfiction that I was having fun with. While I mainly wanted to find some way to live out some of my favorite scenarios, I also wanted to use this story to experiment with a whole bunch of other franchises and see how they would fit into Kingdom Hearts if incorporated. Being a crossover itself, I think one of the beauties of Kingdom Hearts is all the potential characters you could run into throughout the story, both inside and outside of Disney canon. Let me go ahead and give you a list of franchises I intend to look into and see if I can find any that would make for good material; what I like to call, "canon fodder."
