Welcome back everyone! It's time for a new chapter. Before I began however I just first explain the universe's I use. Prime universe is a mostly canon universe with a few changes, most importantly Tomstar. And AU is of course a significantly different universe than canon. Enough talk, let's begin!
Mewni AU
As Moon stared in shock at the stranger that came out of her portal, she felt guilty for pulling him here. She wanted to be responsible when she grew up but now after even a single spell she cast hurt someone seriously. Moon noted to herself that she owed the stranger an apology and practice her magic more. She she started to study the stranger and guessed he was around her age. She saw he was wearing some kind of heavy shirt with a hood attached to it and wore he black pants. Moon saw his mole and giggled at that. 'He's cute' thought Moon 'I wonder where he is from?' Moon decided to shake the boy to wake him up. When she did shake him he did not respond. After seeing that shaking the boy didn't do anything Moon tried slap him. "Come on come on!" , cried Moon desperately. ' Oh my gosh I killed him' thought Moon in fear. Moon then decided to take the boy to the royal infirmary to heal him. She then grabbed the boy into her arms and alex off away from the opening.
Moon ran as fast as possible to reach the royal infirmary in time to heal the boy. Moon soon reached the city that surrounded Butterfly Castle after a few minutes. People got out of her way as they saw her barreling down the streets. Moon wished that she could move faster so she could reach the infirmary sooner. When Moon checked on the boy's pulse she was horrified that his pulse was faint and irregular. "Don't you dare die on me!" , was all that Moon could think of. After what seemed like an eternity she finally the castle and immediately pushed the guards aside.
"Princess Moon where are you heading?", asked a startled guard.
"To the infirmary", yelled back Moon as she sprinted to the infirmary.
After a couple of minutes Moon finally reached the royal infirmary. She gentily placed Marco down on an empty bed and said, "Don't worry everything will be ok." After Moon said that she promptly collapsed from sheer exhaustion. Immediately the doctors of the infirmary swarmed her after seeing her fall to the ground.
"Are you alright milady", asked a doctor in concern.
"I'm alright, but that boy needs immediate attention or he will die!", exclaimed Moon.
"Right away!"
Immediately the doctors got herbs and concoctions to start saving the boy. As the doctors got ready for the operation Moon stayed at his side and whispered, " I'm sorry. " Then the doctors told Moon she should leave but Moon would have none of it and eventually the doctors relented. The doctors first gave the boy a healing herb to stop the internal bleeding the boy had. Then they gave him a magical concoction that would render the boy unconscious for a few hours to complete the procedure. The doctors started a hour long magical procedure to heal the boy. They used magical tools and crystals to heal the wounds he had. After a painstaking hour the procedure was complete, and the doctors let out a sigh of relief. The head doctor then turned to talk to Moon, who stayed by the boy's side for the entire operation.
"He'll live your majesty. It will take another 3 days for him to completely heal. Make sure he doesn't walk for the first day", said the head doctor ,"You were lucky to bring him in time as another 5 minutes later it would have been too late for the boy."
"Thank you", was all Moon could say.
"No problem your majesty, we were just doing our jobs", chuckled the head doctor before leaving with the other doctors to tend to other patients.
After the doctors left Moon looked at the boy and scolded herself at how close she was to killing him. 'How will I ever be queen if I keep messing up' signed Moon. She then touched the boy's arm and said, "Wake up soon." Moon then laid her head on his body to rest herself. 'Wow his shirt is really comfortable' Moon thought as she slowly drifted asleep.
7 Hours Later
Marco slowly opened his eyes as he awoke from his slumber. 'Ow why does my body hurt everywhere' wondered Marco before his memories came flooding in. He remembered how he was out for a walk before being sucked into a portal that sent him flying into a tree. Marco could remember how before he fell unconscious he saw the face of an angel. Marco wondered if he will ever see her again before widening his eyes at what he saw. He could tell that he was in some sort of hospital. Then he saw a girl laying peacefully on his chest and saw she was asleep. The girl had light silver hair that looked suspiciously similar to Star's hair. She was wearing a blue dress with purple lines forming an x on her back. The dress extended to her knees, and he could see cold lining on the lines around the end of the dress. 'I wonder if she is royalty' thought Marco to himself. Then when he tried to move his hand the girl stirred from her sleep and yelled, " Mom I'm awake!" Before Marco could reply the girl looked into Marco's face.
Marco let out a gasp as he was shocked at how similar the girl's face was to Star's face. They had almost identical faces except for the girl having two long strands of hair extending down her body, and she had light grey eyes. 'She looks cute' blushed Marco. His train of thought was interrupted when the girl spoke to him.
"Easy there! You shouldn't walk until the next day or you'll injure yourself!" , Moon shouted with concern.
"Uh hi?", said Marco suspiciously, "Where am I and what time is it?"
"Oh you're probably confused to where you are. You are at the royal infirmary in Butterfly castle. I may or may not of been practicing magic when one of my spells opened a portal and caused you to crash into a tree. The collision might of been lethal if I didn't bring you here", at that Marco paled but the girl continued, " But you're ok! Anyways that's how you got here. It is also early morning if you wanted to know. Now who are you and where are you from?"
"My name is Marco Diaz, and I come from the Earth Dimension. Who are you?"
"Oh my name is Moon Butterfly, royal heir to the Butterfly kingdom"
'Wait isn't that the name of Star's mom' thought Marco 'If that is Star's mom then why did she call herself the heir to the throne and why is she young'. Marco then wondered where Star was if this was indeed Mewni. Marco's thoughts were interrupted when the girl waved a hand in front of him.
"Um hello anyone there?", asked the girl in an annoyed tone.
" Sorry Queen Moon, but where is Star and why are you so young? ", asked Marco in a steady voice.
Moon raised an eye at his question. 'Wait he thinks I'm queen?' thought Moon to herself ' I can barely stand official meetings! And who is this Star? ' She wondered if his collision with the tree may or damaged his brain more than what the doctors believed. She then replied to the boy, " Of course I'm not the queen. The queen is my mother, Comet Butterfly. And I have certainly never heard of a Star before".
Marco froze when he heard the girl's reply and whispered, " Are you sure you haven't heard of a Princess Star Butterfly? "
"Of course not Marco," replied Moon, rolling her eyes.
'Wait if she is not the Moon I know then who is the girl? ' mused Marco to himself before realizing ' Wait if she is not the Moon I know then am I stuck in another reality. No that can't be right.' But as Marco considered all the facts around him, an alternate universe theory was the most plausible theory he could think of. He decided to tell the girl about his theory.
"Now Moon I know this sounds crazy but I think that I am from an alternate universe. Now from where I'm from the royal heir to the Butterfly kingdom is Star Butterfly. She also happens to be my best friend," explained Marco.
Moon at first thought that the boy was insane as only Omnitraxus could travel in between dimensions. Then she recalled how her spell was unusual and had a unique portal. The more she thought about it the more it made sense to her. 'That would explain why he called me Queen Moon and knew about Mewni' thought Moon to herself 'Wait if I'm queen then is Star my daughter?' Moon decided to give Marco the benefit of the doubt.
"I believe you because I was casting a spell that I just came up with. Your theory would explain why you knew of Mewni and the Butterflies," said Moo. Reassuringly.
"Thanks Moon" Marco sighed in relief , " Now do you know how to reverse the spell you just casted? "
"About that I don't know how to reverse the spell I just casted", said Moon sheepishly ," Oops? "
Marco's eyes widened in horror as if Moon didn't know how to reverse the spell; he would be stuck here for the rest of his life. Marco began to panic as he began to read that he would never see Star or his parents again. Marco began to hyperventilate and didn't noticed that his eyes were beginning to read up. That was until Moon hugged him and said, " It'll be ok, I promise. " They remained that way for a few minutes, and Marco began to calm down. 'Wow here hair feels soft and nice' thought Marco.
Moon meanwhile felt guilty for putting Marco in his current situation and vowed to find a way to send Marco back to his reality. Moon. Then saw how Marco was panicking and hugged Marco lightly while telling him it was alright. The effect was almost instantaneous as he called down very quickly. Marco then began to hug her back and Moon blushed at that. Moon then let go of Marco and wondered how she could find a spell that would send Marco back home. She at first thought about going to see Glossaryck for help, but decided against it as he likes to eat pudding and would likely make her give him pudding. Moon then decided her best her was to tell her mom about Marco and his situation.
"Marco I'm going to see my mom to see if she can help me find a spell to help you," Moon said at last.
" Thanks Moon" , smiled Marco.
Then Moon left the infirmary to find her mother. She walked to the throne room, but found that her mom was not there. She then looked for her mom for a good thirty minutes before finding her mom in the queen's office. While Moon was searching for her mom, Moon heard gossiping about her dash to the infirmary. "What do you think the princess was doing in the infirmary", she heard a guard say. "I don't know, but I think it has something to do with the boy she was carrying" , another guard said. A third guard voiced his opinion, " Perhaps the princess found a boyfriend, but he fell into a love coma. " At that remark the guards laughed and Moon had to suppress a groan. After reaching her mom's office she thought 'here goes nothing' before entering the office.
Her mother was busy with paperwork and her mom was fully concentrated in her work and didn't notice Moon coming into the office. Moon had to cough in order to catch the attention of her mother. Her mother looked surprised but happy to see Moon in the office.
"Hi sweetie how are you doing?" asked Comet.
"I'm doing fine mom. I came here because I need your help to fix a problem," Moon said nervously.
" Moon what did you do this time? ", asked Comet, dreading the answer.
" I may or may not of casted a new spell that caused a boy from another reality to go to Mewni, " Moon chucked nervously as she continued, " Anyway I need to find a spell to send him home. Do you know of a spell that can cross realities? "
'That girl never ceases to amaze me' though' Comet before saying, "Are you sure sweetie? I mean you just got your wand."
" I'm sure mom. "
"If that's the case then I might know a spell that might help you. The spell is in the chapter of Vega Butterfly in the spell book. However no one has used the spells in centuries, " said Comet.
"Thanks mom," Moon said as she walked to her room to get the book of spells. Her mother replied, " Your welcome sweetie. " as Moon left. 'Great a spell that hasn't been cast in centuries' Moon sarcastically thought. From what Moon could remember Vega Butterfly was among the first Butterflies ever. She was said to have come from a shooting star that fell from the hevans. She married the king at that time to become the queen of the kingdom. Vega Butterfly was among the most powerful magic users ever and was rivaled by only a few queens since. Vega created many experimental spells that were considered dangerous. Most of the spells she created were never replicated again by anyone. Moon however wanted to at least try to cast the spell in order to help Marco. Moon knew she potentially could be among if not the most powerful magic users ever if trained. She learnt this fact after overhearing a conversation with her mother and the head doctor. She was determined to stretch her abilities with a challenging spell.
After a five minute walk Moon reached her room and changed her clothes into something more casual before going to get the spell book from under her bed. The spell book was the most important object that the Butterflies processed after the magical wand. It contained all the knowledge of the previous queens and help hundreds of spells. As Moon was about to open the book, a small blue mans in robes with a link crystal in his forehead floated to Moon, and she recognized him.
"Glossaryck!", Moon yelled in surprise.
" Hello milady, " Glossaryck said, " What do you want? It better be important as I have a very important meeting to get to with my pudding. "
Moon rolled her eyes in annoyance and replied, " Well Glossaryck I need a spell that can send someone into another reality. My mom said it would be in the chapter of Vega. "
"May I ask, why do you need the spell?" , inquired Glossaryck .
"I may have cast a spell that somehow sucked a boy from another reality into this reality", Moon sighed in defeat, " There you happy?"
"That explains it. You know you always seem to cause problems when you use magic" , remarked Glossaryck, "Well time to find your spell." Glossaryck could hear Moon say "Hey!" after his remark and that caused him to smirk. He opened the book of spells to the chapter of Vega Butterfky. If Glossaryck was being honest to himself, he found that the chapter of Vega to be fascinating. He was disappointed that most Vega's spells were never used again. 'Well until today' chuckled Glossaryck. He then started to each the chapter of Vega until he found the spell at around the end of chapter. Clapping his hand, Glossaryck turned to face Moon and said, " Well here is your spell you wanted. Now you just have to raise your wand above your head and chant these words 'teleportos dimensional reternocos timeless' in a loud voice and boom! Also you need an item from the other reality for the spell to pinpoint the reality you want to go to or you would be going through random realities."
"Thanks Glossy!", Moon said as she raced to tell Marco about the spell she found. Moon could hear Glossaryck mutter something about how teenagers were so annoying and that caused her to grin. Moon remembers how Glossaryck said how he despises teaching her because Moon would somehow find a way to try and make him less serious. Her efforts usually results in a very pissed off Glossaryck and his face at the end of the lessons was so funny that she always laughs afterwards. 'I wonder how I could loosen up Glossy?' wondered Moon to herself.
After checking the sky outside Moon realized that it was already miday. She decided to get a quick meal at the dining hall while on her way to the infirmary. She grabbed a corn cob with butter and a sandwich while in the dining hall before heading to the infirmary. She finished her quick meal before disposing of the waste in a nearby trash can. As Moon made the last corner to the infirmary, she accidentally bumps into River. River stumbled around and Moon immediately goes to help River.
" River are you alright? ", asked Moon.
" Yes Moon I'm alright. I was meaning to find you to tell you something. "
"Yes what is it?" , asked Moon curiously.
" Well I just asked out Janily if she wants to be my future wife and she said yes! " , shouted River at the top of his lungs.
Moon just stared in shock at what River said. Married? Moon knew that Janily and River were both in a relationship, but Moon always had a small hole that River would choose her over Janily. Now Moon's hopes were shattered. Moon didn't show it however as she put on her best happy face and said, " That's wonderful River. I'm so proud of you! "
"Thank you Moon. That means a lot coming from you. Now I just be going now," and as River just finished his sentence he practically skipping away to be with his girlfriend.
Moon was hurt at River's decision as she had a crush on River. Her childhood crush however will be with someone else besides her. Moon could feel jealousy course through her before she sighed in sadness. She then walked in the infirmary to see Marco. When she got into the infirmary she was that Marco was fast asleep already. Moon stared at him for a few moments before walking towards him. 'He's cute when he's asleep ' giggled Moon before shaking Marco to wake him up. "Have a good nap Marco?" Marco then opened his eyes and groggily asked, " Are you an angel? " Moon blushed at his question and was touched at Marco's words. ' He knows how to cheer me I'm thought Moon.
After realizing what he said to Moon, Marco was mortified with embarrassment. He thought that Moon was beautiful and cute since they first encountered each other. He however didn't want to say what he thought out loud and he dreaded what Moon's reaction would be like. Moon just stared at him for a few moments before asking him. "Do you actually mean what you said?" asked Moon.
"Of course Moon!" , replied Marco.
" You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen and you have the voice of an angel", Marco blurted out before slapping his face and burying his head with his hands.
Moon blushed even harder after hearing Marco's outburst and put her hand on Marco's hand and removed his hands from his face. She then put her hand on Marco's cheek and then hugging him before store saying, "Thank you Marco."
Marco was shocked at Moon's reaction as he thought Moon would slap him or get angry at him. Instead Moon just hugs him and seems to like what he said. Marco began to blush as Moon continued to hug him and he returned her hug. Her hug was among the best things Marco had ever felt before and he felt lucky to be with Moon. Soon they lost count of time as they embraced each other. Marco didn't know how long their hug lasted but it must have lasted a while as Moon was sleeping on top of him again. Marco blushed at this but didn't complain one bit as he actually enjoyed it. He said, " Good night Moon" , before falling asleep himself.
The Next Day
Moon awoke with the feeling of pure contentness. She felt happy, and she remembered the previous day. She remembered how Marco told her she was the most beautiful girl he has ever seen and how she embraced him. Moon could tell yesterday was among her best days ever. She wondered what today had in store for her. Moon began to wonder if she was already falling for Marco already. Moon then felt an arm around her and she saw that Marco was still hugging her. 'This feels nice' blushed Moon. Moon decided it was time for Marco to wake up from his sleep. "Good morning Marco", Moon giggled as she shook Marco.
Marco looked startled but after seeing Moon he grinned, " Hello Moonie. "
Moon blushed at his nickname for her, but she liked the nickname. Perhaps she could find a nickname for him too. Moon then asked , " How are you doing? "
Marco replied, " I'm doing fine Moon, how about you? "
"Oh I'm doing fine Marco" , then she grinned as she remembered what she learnt yesterday. " I meant to tell you yesterday that I found a spell that could help you get home. "
Marco leapt up with hope in his eyes, " Really? "
Moon then smiled and said, " Yes really. I need to however need to practice the spell because I don't want to hurt you. "
Marco responded, " I'm willing to wait Moon. I also didn't want to leave immediately even if you could send me back home because I want to get to know you better if that's fine with you."
"Of course Marco" , Moon smiled.
And that completes my next chapter! This could of been uploaded earlier, but my damn laptop decided not to save my work from before. It's fine as I have remade the chapter. Please let me know how I did for my first fanfiction. Until later Peace!
