Welcome back! As I promised here's another chapter, Anyway fanfiction bugged out for me and I had to delete chapter 3 and reupload it. Please let me know how I did. Now let's begin!
Mewni AU
As Moon awoke from her sleep, she felt a comforting presence besides her. She opened her eyes and saw Marco next to her, hugging her. Moon then blushed when she saw that she was hugging Marco around his chest. 'I guess we both find each other attractive' Moon giggled. Moon looked at Marco and took in just how handsome he was. Moon didn't know how she got so lucky, but she didn't complain. Moon wanted to have as much fun with Marco before he leaves. 'I wonder if Glossaryck has a way to communicate between realities?' Moon pondered. Moon was interrupted when Marco started to wake up from his sleep. Marco looked around and looked embarrassed at what he saw. Moon smiled and said, " Good morning Marco. Have a nice sleep?"
"Morning Moon", Marco yawned.
"Well now that we're awake, we should probably get something to eat", Moon said.
"Sounds like a plan Moon. Also I need some clothes."
Moon used her wand to conjure up some clothes for Marco to wear for the day. The clothes she conjured was similar to Marco's normal clothes except for the red hoodie. "Here you go Marco", Moon said. Marco then took the clothes in her hand and went to the bathroom. As he was changing, he thought about how comfortable he was when sleeping with Moon. He knows he should feel embarrassed, but it just felt right to be with Moon. 'I can't believe I'm falling for her already' Marco sighed in love. Marco wanted Moon to stay with him even though he knew it was impossible. Marco just wanted a way to communicate with Moon after he left because he enjoyed talking with her. Marco loved her voice as it sounded angelic, and her face was so pretty. Marco finished changing and stepped outside before stopping in his tracks at what he saw.
Moon hadn't finished changing her clothes yet and he could see that her upper body was bare except for her bra. Marco saw her outstanding figure that was slim but well toned. 'She has the perfect body' Marco blushed. Marco blushed intensely at what he saw, but Marco couldn't stop staring at her. Moon looked flustered and quickly put on her dress to cover her upper body. They both looked at each other awkwardly before Moon broke the silence. "Um that was weird."
"Yeah let's try and forget that", they both said at the same time.
They both looked at each other before they left her room in silence. Moon mentally facepalmed at that embarrassing moment. Moon had just picked her dress she was going to wear, and Moon had put on her dress partially. She didn't expect Marco to change his clothes so quick and when he was done changing, she was only half way done. 'Now you embarrassed yourself in front of Marco' Moon berated herself 'Now he thinks you're a pervert'. Moon was so embarrassed that she refused to look at Marco for she thought he would be mad at her. Moon looked downwards and tried not to think about the inevitable conversation
Meanwhile Marco was still thinking about what he saw while he walked with Moon. He was still blushing at what he saw in Moon's room. Marco could not believe how stunning Moon was, and that made him fall for Moon even harder. 'Moon thinks I'm mad at her' Marco thought. Marco was shocked but not mad at Moon for the incident. In fact he wants to tell Moon how it wasn't her fault for exposing herself like that. Marco felt bad for Moon having to think that he was mad at her. Marco placed his hand on her shoulder before saying, " We need to talk about what happened in your room."
Moon looked ashamed and said, " Marco, it's my fault that you saw me like that. I should of told you I was changing"
"No Moon it isn't your fault", Marco said reassuringly.
"But", Moon began before being cut off by Marco.
"Don't be ashamed Moon. I don't blame you for your mistake. In fact you have a perfect body."
"Really Marco?", Moon asked.
"Really."
At that Moon enveloped Marco in a crushing hug and whispered, "Thank You." Marco blushed at Moon's hug, but he didn't mind it. In fact Marco enjoyed the hugs Moon gave and soon returned her hug. They held their embrace for a few minutes before letting go of each other. They both stared at each other as if they were in love for several moments until Comet coughed. "I see that you have a boyfriend sweetie."
"Mom!", shouted Moon in surprise.
"Don't act surprised. I saw you hugging him in the hallway", Comet smirked, " In fact half of the guards think he's your boyfriend."
"He's not my boyfriend!".
"If you say so sweetie. Now I must be going now", Comet said before leaving
Marco asked, "Shouldn't we be going to the hall of dining?"
Moon nodded in agreement before heading off to the hall of dining. They got to the hall in a few minutes but not before they heard plenty of gossip about the two. Moon could hear how even the royal thought there was something going on between her and Marco. 'That's was ridiculous ' thought Moon. Moon may or liked Marco, but in love? Moon thought that was ridiculous, but a small part of her knew otherwise. She was slowly falling for Marco and sooner or later Moon would have to realize that.
They went to order their foods, and Marco ordered a sweetened cake with sweet milk. Moon raised an eye at Marco:s order before shrugging. Moon decided to order the same thing as Marco as it was her usual meal. As they waited for this food, Moon looked at Marco. 'How is he so understanding?' thought Moon ' Is he truly the perfect person for me?' Moon could tell that Marco liked her but to what extent? Moon made a note to herself to ask Marco if she could come see Marco's reality. Moon was about to ask Marco if she could come with Marco when the food was went to a table and began to eat immediately. Moon then asked, " So Marco why did you order my usual breakfast? "
"Well I wanted to try out what you eat normally, and I got to say it's actually very good", Marco said with a mouthful of food.
Moon giggled at that before wiggling nervously. "Can I go to your reality Marco to see it?" I
Marco smiled and said, "Sure I see no problem with that."
" Thanks Marco! "
They both finished their food quickly before putting away their dishes. They were both full and had enough energy to last until the afternoon. Moon then suggested, "Do you want to continue our tour?"
"Sure Moon" , replied Marco.
They then exited the hall to go to the Royal Garden. While they were walking Moon explained the history of the Butterflies to Marco. Moon told Marco that the first descendents of the modern Mewmans were colonists that were escaping a brutal war in a distant continent whose name is lost to history. The colonists experienced a brutal winter in Mewni before a group of monsters met the colonists. The monsters helped the colonists for the next several winters. The two races were at peace for a century before tensions rose. The newer generation, which became recognized as the first generation of Mewmans, wanted to expand into Monster territory. The Mewmans has several skirmishes with the monsters that resulted in the Mewmans gaining land. The monsters didn't take kindly to this, and they cut off any support to the Mewmans to hopefully stop the Mewman expansion. There was a stalemate before a girl found a mysterious crystal. She attached the crystal onto a smooth stick. Then the rock transformed the stick into the first wand. The girl became the first Butterfly to exist, but the name of the girl was lost to time. The first Butterfly used the wand to immediately conjure weapons and armors for the Mewmans. The Mewmans recognizing the girl's powers made her the first ruler of a new kingdom called Utiapol. With the royal wand the new queen declared war on the monsters. The monsters thought they could beat the Mewmans into submission, but the monsters didn't account for the Butterfly's magic. The monsters were horrified at how easily the queen destroyed legions of monsters and soon begged for peace. The Mewmans didn't heed the plea for peace until the monsters surrendered. The war was waged on for another ten years before the monsters were forced to sign a harsh peace treaty that made the monsters give up large swaths of land to the Mewmans. The victorious Mewmans soon entered a Golden Age of prosperity.
The monsters, bitter from their defeat, plotted their revenge against the Mewmans. The monsters began to secretly build factories and war machines right under the noses of the Mewmans. The monsters plotted their revenge for one hundred and twenty years. The Mewmans though that the monsters were beaten and wouldn't attack Mewman occupied land. In the one hundred and twenty years period new kingdoms emerged as settlers split away from Utiapol. By the end of the Golden Age there were at least thirty kingdoms in Mewni with countless kingdoms being unaccounted for. The largest kingdom was still Utiapol with the Butterfly queen being the most powerful being on Mewni. During the Golden Age however the Mewmans stagnated in their Military making them especially vulnerable to surprise attacks. Then at the end of the Golden Age the monsters started their offense. Within weeks of the sudden attacks several Mewman kingdoms fell. The kingdoms were destroyed and their residents enslaved by the monsters. The monsters wanted to drive the Mewmans off of their native homeland and would show no mercy. Then Great Monster-Mewman War was the single bloodiest war to ever occur in Mewni. The monsters committed terrible atrocities while the Mewmans did the same as the Mewmans discovered what the monsters did to captured Mewmans. The only thing keeping the Mewmans from being overrun was the powerful Utiapol queen and her magic. But five years into the war a small strike force of monsters managed to kill the Butterfly at the time, Jade Butterfly. Utiapol was in a state of disarray after Jade's death as she left no heirs, and the monsters thought they had dealt a killing blow to the Mewmans. That was until the mysterious appearance of Vega. She's demonstrated immense power with magic even without the royal wand. The Utiapolian people were desperate at the time and drowned Vega as the next queen of Utiapol. Vega took on the name of Butterfly to remember the late queen. All queens since Vega got heir ability to use magic without a wand from her.
Vega immediately reorganized Utiapol into the Butterfly Kingdom and established many customs that would survive until modern day. With Vega at the helm of the newly reorganized Butterfly Kingdom, the war began to turn in favor to the Mewmans. Vega was a strategic genius and in many battles outplayed monster generals. To top it all off Vega was an extremely powerful magic user. Vega was so powerful that only two queens since Vega could rival her power. The worst defeat the the monsters ever faced was dealt by Vega and a small contingent of elite knights. In that battle a large army of one thousand monsters marched to battle confident that they could defeat the queen. Oh how wrong were they. When the monsters were within one thousand yard a from Vega she unleashed her most infamous spell into the unsuspecting monsters for the first time, the Magical Storm. When she unleashed the spell it unleashed a giant electrical storm into the sky before vaporizing any monsters it struck. She vaporized the entire army within a few seconds. The Magical Storm was never used again since Vega's death until recently as the spell required large amounts of dark magic, and dark magic has since been considered taboo. Moon just one month ago developed a version of Magical Storm that didn't need dark magic. To make matters worse for the monsters Vega wielded a unique sword she called the lightsaber, Marco 's eyes widened at that, that could kill any monsters, even the infamous Septilans. The Septilians were a lizard like sub race of the monsters that could live forever and tank huge amounts of damage as they could regenerate tissue. The Septilians could only be killed by powerful magic or extreme heat. The Mewmans were lucky that the Septilians were among the rarest monsters to encounter as Septilians were among the most intelligent monsters there were and were responsible for the death of Queen Jade. The monsters were terrified when facing Vega and many fled in terror if they encountered her. With Vega the Mewmans gained back land they lost and pushed into Monster territory. The Mewmans also lost land at the same time because as powerful as Vega was, she was just was one person. The war began to become a bloody stalemate where no one could win.
After eleven years of fighting both sides knew that if they kept fighting, they would destroy themselves. In the end Queen Vega proposed to the monster chiefs that there would be a summit to sign a peace treaty that would end the war. Queen Vega also wanted the monster chiefs to bring their people to the summit. She promised to bring in unarmed peasants in return. The monsters chiefs agreed with Vega's plan and soon the summit was held. Twenty thousand monsters attended the summit while thirteen thousand peasants were at the summit. Most of the monsters were unarmed to show good faith. As the monster chiefs waited for Vega to attend the meeting, Vega unleashed here greatest spell yet that hasn't been matched since. Her new spell transformed all the peasants into Shadow Knights, cold blooded killing machines that would give the Solarian Warriors a run for their money. Shadow Knights were created when massive amounts of dark magic was infused with someone. The Dark magic makes the Mewman more aggressive and stronger. Shadow Knights could take massive amounts of punishment while having the ability to use magic. The Shadow Knights effortlessly slaughtered the monster down to the last one. Only a couple dozen monsters lived to tell the tale.
The day was remembered as Mewnipendence day to the Mewmans while it was known as the Great Monster Massacre to the monsters. For centuries the accepted story for Mewnipendence Day as what Queen Vega brought fifteen thousand peasants who were unarmed to show good faith, but the monsters came with a huge army. Queen Vega had to turn the peasants into Shadow Knights or else the monsters would of massacres the peasants. With the Shadow Knights Vega crushed the monster army and secured peace for all of Mewni. Vega's version of the story was believed by the Mewmans because when the spell wore off, the peasants could not remember what they did as Shadow Knights. This caused the peasants to believe Queen Vega's story. To make matters worse all of the surviving kingdom acknowledged the superiority of Butterfly kingdom, and t he kingdoms till acknowledge the superiority of the Butterflies. Even when the monsters tried to spread the truth the Great Monster-Mewman War caused many Mewmans to distrust the monsters. It wasn't until recently that classified papers with the royal Butterfly stamp that detailed the true events of Mewnipendence Day were leaked it the public. Most Mewmans were shocked at the revelations, and some began to support equal rights for monsters. Since then Monster-Mewman relations have never been better.
"And that is the history of the early Butterflies", finished Moon.
'That was an incredibly long and brutal story, ' thought Marco. Marco said horrified, "Vega Butterfly is horrible! I know she won the war for the Mewmans, but what she did was genocide!"
"I know", Moon said in disgust at Vega, " That's why I have to be a good queen to help unite the monsters and Mewmans to bring true peace to Mewni."
When Moon finished her tale, it was already early afternoon. Moon said apologetically, " Sorry Marco we only have enough time to got to the garden."
Marco was disappointed at hearing that there was only enough time to visit the gardens, but he didn't show it. After a few more minutes the two reached the Royal Garden, and Marco's eyes threatened to bulge out of his socket at the garden. The place was huge! The Royal Garden was at least three hundred acres if not larger with flowers and plants from all corners of Mewni and from other dimensions. The garden had a huge fountain in the center that gushed water into the air for at least one hundred and fifty feet. There was a large artificial waterfall at the end of the garden that fed a stream that went through the garden. There was dozens of statues spread out throughout the garden to add to the scene. To top it all off there were different terrain in the garden with a section being hilly while another was marshy. This made the garden seem natural and surreal. Marco then turned to see Moon smiling at Marco. "What do you think Marco?"
"This place is incredible!", Marco exclaimed in amazement..
"It's supposed to be a few notches above any other gardens. It usually blows people away if they haven't seen it before", Moon smirked.
"Blown away is an understatement,it causes people's head to explode from awe!", Marco gasped.
"Do you want to sit down Marco?", Moon asked.
"Of course Moon."
They then found a bench on a hill that was in between the stream and the fountain and sat down. They began to enjoy the beauty of the garden to rest their minds from any previous stress. Marco could see the birds flying in the air in the garden while Moon saw royals and guards mingle with each other. The garden was a true place of beauty and serenity. Moon and Marco were unknowingly hugging each other and that caused people to raise an eye, but the two ignored the onlookers. The two stayed at the garden for an hour admiring the garden and its peace before they left the garden. Moon said at last, " I need to practice my spells soon, do you want to come?"
"Yes Moon."
They then walked. to Moon's room after leaving the garden. Marco asked what were they were going to eat, but Moon said that they would get a quick meal from the hall of dining. Marco nodded in agreement, and they headed to the hall of dining to grab a meal. They then got a quick meal and wolfed it down as they were walking. After finishing their meals they threw the trash in a nearby trash can. Moon soon asked Marco what he did usually in his reality. Marco explained that he usually would help Star when she has a mess or go exploring other dimensions with one of his friends. Moon was about to ask how he got his dimensional scissors before spotting River near her room. River was with is girlfriend Janily, and Moon frowned slightly. Moon waved her hand and said, "Hi River," before adding," and you too Janily."
Marco quickly greeted River and Janily after spotting the two.
"Hi Moon and your boyfriend", River and Janily said.
Moon got annoyed and inquired, "Why do people think that we're couples?"
"Well that's because you two are spotted holding hands usually", Janily giggled.
To prove her point Janily pointed to Moon's and Marco's hands. Marco and Moon looked down and saw that Janily was correct. They blushed as they realized they were holding hands but still kept holding hands. 'You got me there Lucitor' Moon thought wryly. Moon wondered why they kept holding hands, but she didn't mind holding hands with Marco. She actually enjoyed holding hands with Marco and that caused her to blush even more. Moon then asked, " So River watcha doing now?"
"I'm off to celebrate my dating anniversary with my lovely girlfriend", River winked.
Janily and River were soon heading off down the halls to celebrate their anniversaries. Moon was still annoyed at River being with Janily but not as much as she should of been. "I guess being with Marco really helps me with my mood' Moon giggled. Marco looked at Moon questionably before she gave him a reassuring smile. They quickly walked down the hall to reach Moon's room. When they got to her room Moon closed the door behind them. She then pulled the book of spells from under her bed. Moon was about to open the book when Glossaryck game out of the book looking annoyed.
"Do you have any idea how smelly the clothes you put next to me is?", complained Glossaryck.
"I didn't have anywhere else to put the clothes at Glossy", Moon shot back while Marco was watching the exchange with amusement.
"How about on your bed or anywhere except under the bed?", Glossaryck retorted, " Anyways what do you need?"
"Do you know a spell that can enable me to talk to other people in other realities", Moon said.
"I know a spell that could help you, but I need two magical mirrors", Glossaryck replied.
Moon went to get her mirror on top of her desk and another one on a bookshelf. Moon then gave Glossaryck her mirrors before waiting for him. Glossaryck opened the book to Vega's chapter to look for the spell. Glossaryck browsed through her chapter before stopping at the very end of Vega's chapter. The spell was the last spell Vega developed before her death. The spell was a hypothetical spell as it has never been used by even Vega. Glossaryck told Moon and Marco to back off as the spell was highly dangerous. "This spell is too advanced for even you Moon", Glossaryck stated. Moon rolled her eyes as she stepped away from him. Glossaryck then put his arm above his head while chanting, "Realitos communiques timeless!" The room was enveloped in a strong gust with lightning and fog above Glossaryck. Moon and Marco looked in awe and fear at the effects of the spell. Then Glossaryck used all his magic to break the barriers between realities. Before the barrier could close Glossaryck touched the two mirrors to end the spell. The room then reverted back to normal for the spell was done. Glossaryck handed a mirror to Moon and Marco as Glossaryck explained, " Now as long as each of you has a mirror, you should be able to communicate with each other."
"Wow Glossy you're very nice today", Moon said in shock. Since when was Glossaryck this nice.
"Of course everything has a price, and the price for me preforming the spell is six big packs of pudding", Glossaryck smirked.
Moon grumbled, "Of course", before grabbing her dimensional scissors from her pocket. She opened a portal to the royal kitchen and saw that no one was present. Moon spotted a shipment of pudding and thought to herself 'Perfect. I don't think they would mind me borrowing some pudding. Besides I'll pay them up'. Moon then grabbed six packs of pudding for Glossaryck before closing the portal. Later in the day when the chefs counted the shipment, they counted six missing packs of pudding. As most of the pudding went to Glossaryck, the chefs didn't want to anger Glossaryck. They immediately contacted the company that made the pudding that the company missed six packs of pudding in the shipment. The company however refused to ship any pudding until more money was given. The situation deteriorated into a shouting match before a company executive sneered, " You chefs probably ate it yourselves ya fat pigs." The chefs then ended the call before suing the company for fraud and assault. The case was in the front page of the news for several weeks. The lawsuit resulted in the company having to give Glossaryck a lifetime supply of pudding, and he couldn't of been happier from the results. It all was a result of a minor miscommunication between Moon and the chefs.
"Here's your pudding Glossy", Moon said.
"Thanks for your cooperation. Now I have a feast!", Glossaryck grinned before he dived into the pudding.
"You know Moon the Glossaryck of my reality also likes pudding", Marco chuckled.
"Weird."
Moon scrolled through of the spell book to the reality bending spell. Moon then told Marco that she needed his old clothes from his dimension for the spell to work. Marco grabbed his clothes from under the bed and handed it to Moon. Moon then set the clothes below her before raising her wand and chanting, "Teleportos dimensional reternocos timeless!" Immediately there was a large portal that opened in front of Moon. The spell required Moon to hold the portal fro five minutes for the portal to become stable. Moon could feel the stain that the spell caused, but she used all of her willpower to persevere. She managed to hold the spell for five minutes before she collapsed from exhaustion. Marco rushed to Moon's side and asked in concern, " Are you alright Moon?"
"I'm alright Marco. I did it, I actually did it" gasped Moon.
"I knew you could do it", Marco smiled.
Moon got up from the floor before taking several deep breathes. Moon looked at Glossaryck," Glossy can you tell my mom I'll be gone for some time to visit Marco's dimension?" Moon could hear Glossaryck say, "Sure", then she asked Marco, " So you promised to show me your reality Marco. Are you ready to go home?"
"I'm ready. But ladies first", winked Marco.
"Such a gentleman", Moon giggled before stepping through the portal into the unknown.
Mewni Prime
Star was in a state of panic after not seeing Marco for another day. At first she thought that Marco was just taking a break from squire duty, and Star didn't have a problem with breaks. But whenever Marco did take breaks he would at least tell Star where he was going. To make matters worse Star had no idea where Marco could of gone if he did leave. Star tried to contact Kelly, Janna, and even Ponyhead but none of them had seen Marco as of late. Star even 'borrowed' her Mom's dimensional scissors to go see Hekapoo but when she talked to her, Marco wasn't there for thousands of years. Star then recalled how she and Marco were drifting away in recent times. 'Did I drive him away?' thought Star gloomily.
When Tom arrived he could immediately Star was worried about something. He asked, " Hey Starship are you ok?"
Star was about to say she was ok when Tom gave her a pointed look. Star sighed, " Marco has been missing for three days, and I tried contacting everyone he knows. Bit no one has seen Marco recently."
Tom's eyes widened in shock. 'How could Marco be missing' thought Tom in shock. Tom put his arm around Star and said reassuringly, " Don't worry Star we'll find him. I'll help you look for Marco."
Star perked up, "Really?"
"Really."
Star then went with Tom as they visited literally all of the dimensions. In each dimension Star used the all seeing eye to see if Marco was there, but with each dimension the results were always the same, he was not there. With each dimension searched Star became more and more desperate. Star began to cry near the end of the search, and Tom tried to comfort her but to no avail. Star just wanted to see Marco again. After they finished searching the last dimensions, they went back to Mewni in defeat. They went to Marco's room in silence, and the only sound was Star's crying. She blamed herself for not seeing how distant they were with each other recently. Now Marco could be anywhere, and he could be in grave danger. Star cried, " I drove him away! I was being such a bad friend that Marco left."
Tom looked offended at that train of thought. Her fault? Tom gave her a reassuring look, "Starship it wasn't your fault" Tom put up his hand when Star was about to say something before continuing, " You might of been a bad friend recently, but you can still repair your friendship. Don't give up on Marco just yet."
"Thanks Tom, but I just want to see Marco."
Then as if the universe decides to finally listen, a large black portal opened up near them. Both Star and Tom leapt up, hope in their eyes. Then a girl came from the portal and fell on the floor. As the girl stood up, Star and Tom could see an uncomfortable resemblance to Star in the mysterious girl. Just as they were about to ask the girl who she was, a boy crashed next to the girl. Then the portal flashed and disappeared as if it never existed. When the boy stood up, Star and Tom looked with shock and joy. "Marco!", Both of them shouted at the same time. Star gave Marco a crushing hug as Marco desperately said, "Air!" Star looked embarrassed before loosening up.
Star then said, " I'm so sorry Marco for being a bad friend and driving you away."
Marco looked guilty before telling Star, "It's not your fault in fact it was a freak accident."
Tom then asked, " Marco would you care to tell who your friend is?"
Marco was about to respond before the girl looked at Marco and Marco backed down. The girl then said something that shocked Tom and Star, "I'm Moon Butterfly, royal heir to the Butterfly Throne."
There was silence before Star yelled, " MOM?!"
