Welcome Back! Here's the next chapter. Now I will refer to the older Moon as Queen Moon and refer the younger Moon as young Moon or just Moon. Please let me know how I did. Now I'm with the story!
Mewni Prime
Moon looked at Star awkwardly before replying, " Star I'm not your mother. "
"But you look like her! And when did you look so young?", Star gaped.
"Look I know it might sound strange, but I'm from another reality", explained Moon.
Tom and Star stared at Moon before laughing. Moon raised an eye at this and looked annoyed. 'Why are they laughing?' Moon thought. Star then chucked, "That's a good one Mom. Seriously did you use a spell or cosmetic products?"
Moon huffed in annoyance before Marco jumped in, " Star, Moon actually is from another reality. I can tell because her mom is still alive, and Moon is still a princess in the other reality."
Star was about to retort before the door to Marco's room opened revealing Queen Moon. She wanted to tell Star that there hasn't been any traces of Marco yet. Queen Moon then looked to see Star but froze when seeing young Moon. 'Is that me?' Queen Moon pondered. "Well Star I see you found Marco, but who is this girl? And why does she look like me when I was young?" Queen Moon inquired.
Everyone looked at each other awkwardly before young Moon responded, " Funny story, I'm Princess Moon Butterfly from another reality. I accidentally pulled Marco into my reality while practicing my magic."
Queen Moon blinked in shock at what her younger self said. Another reality? Impossible. Only Omnitraxus could traverse through realities. Plus Queen Moon knew that she dipped down when she was nineteen years old even if there was a spell that could cross realities, she couldn't preform it at a young age. Even now she wasn't sure she could sustain a spell that powerful. The idea that a younger version of herself could already master a reality crossing spell was beyond her. Queen Moon asked her younger self, "When did you dip down for the first time? "
Young Moon furrowed her eyes in confusion before saying, " Well I first did it when I was ten years old. Surely you could dip down at around my age since we technically are the same person. "
"Ten years old!" , everyone except young Moon shouted.
Ten years old was an incredibly young age to dip down and was unheard of. Star couldn't believe that Moon was already that powerful. Star herself dipped down when she was fourteen years old and that already was considered young. But ten? Anyone who could dip down at the were bound to be very powerful magic wielder. Star was already considering asking Moon to help with practicing spells. Tom was shocked as he heard that the average age for a Butterfly to dip down was around eighteen, so he was impressed by the feat. Queen Moon gaped at her younger self's power. She couldn't believe that her younger was more powerful than her already. Finally Marco was proud of Moon for her feats. Even though he wasn't there to see Moon dip down for the first time.
"Why is everyone surprised?", Moon asked as she got a cup of water using magic.
"I dipped down when I was nineteen!", Queen Moon yelled.
Moon stared at her older counterpart before facepalming. 'How can any version of the of be so weak' Moon thought in disappointment. It was common for Butterflies to dip down at around fifteen years old from her Mewni. Even the late bloomers could still dip down by eighteen years old. Moon guessed that this realities' Butterflies were weaker than the Butterflies of her own reality. Moon shook her head before asking, "Now that we got introductions out of the way, where will I stay?"
"Wait you're staying? Don't you have royal business to attend to? And how about your Mom?', Tom asked.
"Don't worry Tom, I just got my wand and usually the princess is usually exempt from royal duties for a month", Everyone was even more shocked at Moon's power after hearing that bit, but Moon didn't notice, " and I asked Glossaryck to tell my Mom about this trip."
"Wait how did you know all our names?" Star realized.
"Marco told me about all of you while we were on my Mewni", Moon explained.
"Oh that makes sense!"
There was a bit of silence after that as everyone contemplated where Moon would stay. Star was sure she could conjure up a guest room while Queen Moon was thinking to see if there were any spare guest rooms. Tom wasn't sure about any of this as he didn't live in the castle. Marco then spoke up, " Moon can stay in my room."
Everyone looked at Marco weirdly before Star asked, " Are you sure Marco? Is Moon comfortable being with you?"
Before Marco responded Moon managed to respond first, " It's ok Star. In fact I'm quite happy with the arrangement since I enjoy being with Marco."
That ended the conversation, and everyone agreed that Moon would stay with Marco. Queen Moon then spoke from experience, "Wait isn't that going to be weird since you are dating River?"
"Oh River is dating someone else."
Queen Moon sighed and thought ' Of course she's single' before bidding everyone a good night since it was already night time. Once everyone noticed how late it was, everyone left Marco's room except Moon and Marco to their respective rooms. While Star was walking to her room with Tom, Star couldn't help but be somewhat jealous at how close Moon was with Marco already. 'Stop it Star you're with Tom' Star scolded herself. Yet she couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something more than friendship that Star wanted with Marco.
Star was in such deep thought that she was frowning, and Tom noticed this. Tom then wondered what Star was thinking about, and he bet it had something to do with Marco and Moon. 'Today has been a weird one day' thought Tom to himself. Not only did his friend Marco appear and reappear, he came back with a younger, and admittedly more attractive, version of her mom. Tom knew this day had to be among the weirdest days ever in his life. Tom then was wondering how Moon would effect Star since Tom knew Star still cared for Marco.
After everyone has left the room Moon looked at Marco in appreciation. "Thank you Marco."
"It's no problem Moon. I guess it's time to go sleep then", Marco said.
Marco went to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Moon soon followed Marco and conjured her own toothbrush to brush her teeth. They both brushed their teeth while each of them stole glances at each other. They soon finished brushing their teeth and want back to Marco's room. Marco entered the bed first before scooting over so Moon could have room. Moon laid down on the bed and snuggled against Marco. Marco blushed at this, but he didn't complain as he enjoyed the presence of Moon next to him. "Good night Moonie", Marco yawned.
" Good night handsome. "
Moon then turned off the lights with her magic and hugged Marco. Soon the two were embracing each other passionately as they fell asleep. 'I like the nickname Moon has for me' Marco thought happily. Moon was also enjoying the presence of Marco. Moon was falling for Marco even faster than she originally thought. 'Does he like me? ' Moon thought As she fell asleep. Unknown to the two the Moon turned red and was silently giving its support for the two.
Meanwhile Star was getting into bed with her boyfriend Tom. She usually enjoyed being with Tom, but she was restless tonight. Star just finished brushing her teeth and was laying down with Tom. Tom was hugging her and Star hugged back absent minded. Star was still shocked at Marco's incident and was planning to ask Marco for more details tomorrow. Star wondered how close Moon, not her mom Star reminded herself, was to Marco. Even though Star was with Tom already, she still had some feelings for Marco. Star could tell Marco liked Moon, but to what degree? Star decided to watch the two over the week to determine that. Tom said to Star, " Night Starship. "
"Night Tom" , Star said simply.
As Star fell asleep, she swore that she could see the Moon turning red before slowly reverting back to it's original color. Star wondered what that meant but didn't dwell on it as she was fast asleep.
The Next Day
Star woke up early to see Marco and eat breakfast with him. Tom was annoyed at getting up early, but he didn't complain about it. 'Maybe I can use this chance to repair our friendship and get him closer to I'd though Star. They both brushed their teeth quickly before walking to Marco's room. Tom asked how she was doing while they were walking and she replied that she was fine. Tom then asked what they were going to do today. Star wanted to spend more time with Marco today and Tom wasn't surprised at her response. Tom couldn't blame Star for wanting to spend more time with Marco since he was missing for almost three days. Plus Tom wanted to spend more time with Marco because Tom thought Marco was a but didn't have enough time to hang out more often.
As they approached Marco's room, they could hear faint snoring in the room. Star guessed that they were asleep, but she decided to be polite and knocked the door. Star knocked on the door to see if anyone would answer, before kicking the door open after no one replied for thirty seconds. They both entered the room quietly to wake up Marco and Moon before widening their eyes. What Tom and Star was caused them to freeze in place. Marco and Moon were sleeping together as expected, but what they did wasn't. Moon's face was laying against Marco's chest with her hands wrapping around him. Marco's left arm was wrapped around Moon, and they looked like they were content. Star gasped softly and thought ' They're close enough to sleep like this'. Star's mind raced at seeing her best friend with Moon, embracing each other. They looked like a couple! 'This is the sort of thing I would do with Tom!' Star thought angrily. Wait why was she getting angry? Star knew that she had moved on from Marco but yet here she was getting angry at a new girl with Marco. Star shook her head to dissipate her negative thoughts but some still remained.
Tom was just as shocked from seeing Marco and Moon like this. He didn't think three days would cause the two to become this close, but apparently he was wrong. Tom was also happy that Marco was getting a girl and moving on from Star. Tom knew that Marco had feelings for Star, and Tom could tell quite easily. Marco thought he was sneaky, but Tom could see Marco giving Star glances that longed for attention. Marco sometimes looked like he was in a foul mood when he saw Tom and Star were together. Tom saw all these and knew right away that Marco had feelings for Star. 'It's good to see that he's finally moving on' thought Tom.
Tom, after recovering from his initial shock, shook Marco and Moon to wake them up. "Good morning sleepy heads."
Marco was the first one to wake up, and his eyes darted across the room before spotting Tom and Star. Moon then woke up and yelled out, " Mom five more minutes!" Moon quickly remembered she was no longer in her own reality but in Marco's reality. They both saw Star's and Tom's faces and saw why. They were currently hugging each other affectionately like a couple and this caused the two to blush. They then broke their embrace before Marco and Moon blurted at the same time, " It doesn't look like what you think it is! We just like hugging each other!"
Star raised an eye at what they said, but didn't say anything. She then asked, " Since you two are awake now, would you care to join me and Tom for breakfast."
"We would love to", Marco and Moon said at the same time before shouting in unison, "Stop doing that!"
Tom and even Star laughed at them at the expense of Marco and Moon. They looked so adorable when they fight! After recovering from their laugh Star and Tom left the room to wait for them. While Moon and Marco were changing clothes, Star reflected on what she just saw. Star still had trouble believing what she was seeing. Star could hear Moon and Marco laughing and discussing what they wanted to do for the day. Star then asked Tom what he wanted to do for the day, and he said that he would stay until the afternoon because of official business. Before Star could ask another question Moon and Marco burst through the door and said in unison," We're done." They then laughed and Moon playfully nudged Marco to his side as they held hands.
While they were walking to the dining room, Star asked a few questions to Moon about her daily life. Star and Tom learnt that Moon hated royal business as they bored her immensely. They also learnt that Moon had a crush on River, but River was already dating Janily. Moon told them about how she was one of the prime advocates for equal monster rights, and this surprised them greatly. Queen Moon was against equal monster right from her personal experiences with them, but her younger version didn't have such experiences. Even though Moon shared little information, Star could get a good gauge on Moon's personality. Moon was a mix between her Mom and Star. Moon could be serious, but she could fun most of the time.
As they walked down the halls, the guards and other royals kept mistaking Moon for Queen Moon. Every time the questions were along the lines of "Queen Moon?!", "How come you look so young?". A few people even asked her what types of cosmetics she used to look so young. This annoyed Moon greatly, and she had to politely correct that she wasn't Queen Moon whenever someone asked her a question. Most of the time people didn't quite believe her answers and still gave her odd looks. By the time Moon got to the dining room, she wanted to bang her head against the wall. She was prevented from doing so by Marco who put a soothing hand on her shoulder. The only reason why Moon kept her composure was by Marco supporting her.
When all four of them walked walked into the dining room they saw Queen Moon and River, the older one, discussing something while eating. Star shouted at her parents to catch their attention, " Mom, papa! "
Queen Moon and River looked at Star in surprise before Queen Moon asked, " Star you're awake early. Why are you so early?"
"Cuz I want to have breakfast with Marco."
Before Queen Moon could respond, River froze at seeing young Moon. River then spoke slowly, " Moonpie why are there two of you?"
Queen Moon looked at her husband in embarrassment. 'How could I forget to tell River about my younger self' Queen Moon berated herself. She looked at River and said, " River I forgot to tell you about our 'visitor'. She's my younger self from another reality."
River stared in shock before shouting, " What!"
Queen Moon quickly gave a run down of what happened last night in order to not confuse River even further. She explained how her younger self had pulled Marco in a portal while practicing her magic. How her younger self was actually single and was staying here for a short time. River only numbly nodded or shook his head as though not quite believing what his wife said. River could only look in shock as he stared towards young Moon. Star placed her hand in front of his head and waved at him. Moon then asked, " Are you ok?"
River said weakly," I'm fine."
All of them then sat down on the tables before more food was brought in by servants. One of the servants asked Moon why she looked so young. Moon promptly lost control breifly as she roared, " For the last time, I'm not queen Moon!" The poor servant looked at Moon in fear before running for the exit. The other servants quickly left the room to not invoke Moon's anger. Before Moon could chase down the poor servant, Marco hugged her. The effects were instant as Moon quickly calmed down and she no longer had the urge to teach the servant a 'lesson'. Star looked on at Moon in jealousy before calming down.
Queen Moon shook her head at the sight of her younger self. 'Was I always this irritable?' Queen Moon sighed to herself. Queen Moon then spoke up, " Star I was meaning to talk to you after breakfast but since you're here early I can talk to you now."
"What do you want to talk about?", Star dreaded.
"Well you see your father and I were just talking about a ball we were planning for you. The ball will be in tomorrow and will be dedicated for you and Tom."
"What!", Star and Tom almost spit out their food out of their mouths. One days notice. 'You could of told me a few days again Mom' Star thought in annoyance.
River than spoke for the first time during the conversation, "We would of told you a few days ago but seeing you distraught over Marco made us wait."
Star was already panicking at the news that a ball would be held in two days that would mark the beginning of her engagement with Tom. She was panicking at the thought of seeing so many people with little time to prepare. Star always hated balls as many princes from other kingdoms would try to woo her even though she was already with Tom. Star hated the fact that she had to be on her best behavior during balls. She was in panic mode before Marco asked, " It's ok Star, Moon and I will be there to support you. Is that going to be a problem?"
Queen Moon shook her head and said, " That won't be a problem at all Marco."
"See Star we got your back", Marco told Star. Star looked at Marco with renewed confidence in her eyes. Marco was always there for her.
"Thanks Marco", Star said softly.
"So Starship, how are you going to prepare for the ball?", Tom asked.
"I don't know really."
Queen Moon then spoke, " River and I would love to stay, but we need to plan for your ball."
Queen Moon and River soon left the room, leaving four surprised teenagers in their wake. Their appetites gone, they ate only for a little more before they left the room. Tom was trying to encourage Star and tell her it will be ok. Star then told Tom how she wasn't sure how she could prepare for a ball in one day. As they talked to each other, Moon and Marco were having their own conversation on how to best prepare for Star's ball. Marco wanted for Star to choose her dress as Star could be quite picky. Moon then suggested that they ask Star on what she wants to wear. Moon then asked Marco what they were going to wear during the ball. Marco then realized that they needed formal clothes for the ball, and Marco asked Star if he and Moon could go to his room to get pick out clothes. Star looked disappointed for a moment before telling Marco she and Tom would be waiting at her room.
Moon and Marco swiftly left to go to his room to not keep Star waiting. When they reached his room Marco immediately closed the door and opened his closet. Marco looked through his closet to see what types of clothes he had that would suit the occasion. As Marco was looking through his closet looking for a fancy suit, Moon was thinking what she was going to wear for the ball. She didn't want to wear her normal clothes she would wear for a ball. Then Moon slowly grinned as she thought up of the perfect dress to wear that would blow away Marco. While she was grinning, Moon spotted from the corner of her eye a suit that could potentially suit Marco. Moon pointed to the suit and asked Marco, " How about this suit?"
When Marco turned to see where Moon was pointing to, his eyes widened in shock at the suit. It was strangely similar to the suit he wore to the Blood Moon Ball with Star and was almost identical to the suit he wore. Marco had never wore the suit he used for the Blood Moon Ball ever again. For a suit to be in his closet at another ball that looked similar to the suit from the Blood Moon Ball was too coincidental for Marco's own liking. Moon then noticed Marco visibly shaking and asked, " What's wrong Marco? "
"That suit is similar to the suit I wore to the Blood Moon Ball", Marco said at last.
" Wait you went it the Blood Moon Ball? ", Moon asked surprised at this revelation.
" I did", Marco replied before giving Moon a brief version of what happened. Marco explained how the Blood Moon was supposed to pick two lucky people would every 667 years to bind the their would together. This Blood Moon chose him and Star to bind. Moon looked like someone punched her in the gut after hearing that. 'Why does the universe love taunting me!' Moon cried to herself. She was on the verge of tears when Marco pulled her into a hug. Marco then said softly, " I don't know why the Blood Moon chose me and Star but what if it was wrong? "
Moon looked at Marco and saw his kind brown eyes staring into her grey eyes. 'I can't believe it, he likes me too' thought Moon incredibly. "Thank you Marco."
"No problem Moon, that's what friends are for."
Moon then realized that they needed to get to Star's room since they had been in Marco's room for a good thirty minutes. "Don't we have to meet Star in her room?", Asked Moon.
"Oh shoot you're right Moon!"
They quickly left his room to meet Star before she becomes impatient. In this rush Marco forgot to ask Moon what she was going to wear.
Star was with her boyfriend trying to decide what dress she was going to wear but so far they had little progress.
" Not that one!", Star yelled as she threw away another dress, "This is hopeless. I don't have enough time!"
"Don't worry Star we'll find a dress for you I promise", Tom said.
"Thanks Tom."
They searched for another ten minutes before Tom held out a dress and asked, " How about this one?"
The dress was similar to the dress Star wore for Monster Bash but with a few key differences. First this drsss was aquamarine unlike the one from Monster Bash. The dress was also significantly shorter as it only extended past the knees by about three inches. The dress finally had a red crescent moon in the center of the dress. Star looked at the dress before shouting, " This dress is perfect! I knew you could find the right dress!"
Before Tom could answer the door to the room was opened, revealing Marco and Moon panting from running. Marco panted, "Sorry Star for keeping you waiting."
"No no. You didn't keep me waiting, in fact you came in at the right time. Tom just found the right dress for me!" Star said while holding out the dress.
"That'll look amazing on you Star", Marco and Moon said together at the same time.
"So what do you want to do now?" Tom asked.
They argued with each other until Tom suggested they get cornshakes. Since nobody else could think of anything better to do, everyone agreed with Tom's suggestion. Marco grabbed his dimensional scissors and created a portal, since he knew where Star and Tom got cornshakes from, and said, " Ladies first." Both Star and Moon giggled and went in the portal first. Tom just rolled his eyes before going in the portal after the girls. Marco entered last, and he closed the portal after stepping out of it. They saw that they just missed the lunch rush, so the place was not so busy. Tom got a standard cornshake while Star got a strawberry cornshake. Marco got himself a chocolate cornshake, and Moon decided to get the same order as Marco. When the cornshakes arrived Moon wasn't sure what to expect. But just one sip later Moon was impressed by the cornshake. 'It's almost as good as the ones from home' Moon thought 'But it's missing a little suger'. Moon walked up to the nearest sugar dispenser and poured in all of the sugar into her cornshake. Everyone in the area widened their eyes as they watched Moon drank the corn shake. Moon just asked, " What?", before she realized to her horror why they were shocked. Apparently she forgot to read the label and the dispenser said 'Super Concentrated Suger, 400% More Suger!' Moon immediately became sugar hungry and began to go on a rampage to get more sugary food. "More sugar!", Moon screamed manically.
Star, Tom, and Marco stared at each other before they shot out of their seats and ran towards Moon, who was stealing all the cornshakes. "Stop her!", all three said at the same time. Moon just laughed, "Never!", before using magic to grab all the cornshakes from people's hand. She drank all of the cornshake in one big slurp and said, " All your sugar is mine!" People stared in shock at Moon before someone yelled, " Run for your sugar!" Immediately people ran around trying to protect their sugar from the sugar crazed Moon. The stampede made it more difficult for Tom, Marco, and Star to contain Moon. Moon then started to loot candy stores and plundering their candy. The three friends stared in shock at the mayhem that Moon caused in her sugar rush. People were already grabbing pitchforks and torches against Moon. "Get out of here!", the mob roared. Moon only laughed and told the mob how cute their efforts were at protecting their sugar, and that caused the mob's blood to run cold in fear. Moon then casted a spell that caused the pitchforks and torches to turn against their owners. People were running as the pitchforks were poking them. The three friends tried to chase Moon, but they were almost trampled in the crowd fleeing from Moon. 'Unlimited power!", Moon screamed hysterically as she summoned a spell that caused all sugar in the immediate thirty miles to be consumed by her immediately. Apparently that much sugar was too much for even Moon as she collapsed to the floor in a spasm once her spell was done.
"We'll take care of this ", Marco said as he dragged Moon through a portal to him room.
Star used her wand to fix all the damage Moon caused before saying, " We're really sorry for all this."
Star and Tom quickly went through the portal before anybody could respond. As the three sat down, they realized how exhausted they were. Tom and Star attempted to go to Star's room, but collapsed after halfway to her room. They went to sleep before they fell to the floor from exhaustion. Marco lifted Moon into his bed before collapsing onto his bed. He was asleep in no time from the crazy events that took place today.
And that concludes this chapter! I decided to do some humor in this chapter to lighten it up. We'll see how Star's ball goes. Edit: I accidentally removed this chapter for the next chapter. Corrected it! Until next time Peace!
