Welcome Back! Sorry for the little prank last chapter, but here's the real chapter 7. Sorry for the late update. I ran out of ideas so I had to do some research. By the way I changed chapter 5 so it isn't a duplicate of chapter 6. Please let me know how I did. Now on with the story!

Mewni Prime

Everyone was cheering for the new couple after that explosive dance. Nobody had seen anything this spectacular even from Tom and Star and that was saying something as Star and Tom were considered the best dancers. The demons were the most shocked at the events out of everyone. The demons had witnessed the Blood Moon pick someone already last year. The next Blood Moon would happen 667 years after the next one but just now they had witnessed something that has never been witnessed before, the Blood Moon choosing a pair before the 667 years. Even more incredible was the fact that the pairing involved someone in the previous pairing and that someone was Marco.

Star was in a state of shock, not wanting to believe what had just happened. The Blood Moon has chosen someone else to be with Marco. Star thought she still had a chance with Marco even though she was with Tom because of the Blood Moon bond she shared with Marco, but the Blood Moon thought otherwise. Star was silently crying, and nobody noticed her crying. She looks towards Marco with hurt eyes, and saw everyone praising the new couple. Star saw Marco looking at her, and she saw he was surprised at the events that were taking place. Star than looked at Moon with jealousy rising in her. Star was jealous at how Moon managed to get so close to Marco so fast. Star knew him for over a year and yet Moon managed to cause Marco to fall in love with her after knowing him for a few days. Star clenched one of her hands as her other hand was still holding Tom. Star then took several deep breathes to calm herself.

Marco couldn't believe that Moon also shared his feelings for her. He had always felt something special that was going on between Moon and him when they first felt. He began to fall for her because she was nice and considerate. In a few days his feelings for Moon was just as strong as his feelings for Star. But he was unsure if Moon had feelings for him. Just tonight the Blood Moon had not only confirmed that Moon had feelings for him but that they were meant to be together. Marco was stunned as he thought he was soul bounded to Star by the Blood Moon, but he was apparently wrong. What did the Blood Moon mean when selecting Moon over Star? He had to do more research on the matter. He looked around the room, and he saw Star was crying slightly while looking at him. Marco was shocked because wasn't Star with Tom? Yet as he recalled the previous day and today, he saw some odd things with Star. Star looked jealous at him being with Moon, but Star only showed her jealousy briefly. Marco saw today while they were walking, Star had a frown on her face briefly. Star also when dancing with him looked at him with hungry eyes as if she wanted him. Did this mean Star liked him? That would explain why Star was hesitant to say "Yes" to Queen Moon's question. Marco felt bad for Star as now she couldn't be with him anymore.

Moon meanwhile was having the best time of her life and that was saying something as she had so many great days. Moon thought that the Blood Moon meant that she couldn't be with Marco, but tonight proved otherwise. She loved spending time with Marco, and she was already falling for him. Marco was the nicest person ever that encouraged her to be herself. She silently thanked the universe for the accidental casting of her reality crossing spell because if it weren't for the accident, she would of never of met Marco. Marco had in a few days caught her attention. Moon wondered what the future had in store for them. As she rose from her bow she could see Marco's friends shouting enthusiastically at them. Moon then saw Star's sad eyes, and she suddenly felt guilty for taking Marco away from Star. 'Star knew Marco for a year yet couldn't find the courage to tell him she loves him' Moon thought sadly.

Moon and Marco left the dance floor to their waiting friends. They practically swarmed the two when Moon and Marco approached them.

"That was amazing!", Kelly shouted in amazement.

"You know you are a lady's man", Hekapoo smirked.

"Dang that was fire!", Pony laughed.

"Incredible job Marco!", Tom shouted.

The only one who wasn't joining in was Star, who was still staring at Marco. She was unable to form words from shock, and she was still crying. Tom looked over to Star and saw her crying. Tom was immediately suspicious at why she was crying but asked in a steady tone, "Starship are you ok?"

Star looked at Tom and said, "I'm ok. I'm crying because of how beautiful the dance was. Had no idea they were such a good pair."

Tom was a bit skeptical at Star's response, but he let it slide. "I know Star. That was the best dance I've seen, better than even our dances."

Then Marco asked Tom if what had occurred tonight with the Blood Moon had ever occurred before. Tom was stumped as the earliest Blood Moon was passed down as stories for thousands of years in the Underworld. The earliest Blood Moon that was accurately record occurred around seven and a half thousand years ago, but there were stories of the Blood Moon dating back to tens of thousands of years ago. The earliest stories however were never verified and at times contradicted each other. Tom had to look in the Lucitor archives in order to see if there were instances where the Blood Moon picked another person to pair with an already paired person. Tom shook his head, not knowing the answer out of the top of his head.

The rest of the ball became informal for the rest of its duration. Royalty from different kingdoms managed to mingle with each other as a celebration this big was very rare, and most of them normally don't see each other usually. The royals danced on the dance floor, though no one beat Moon and Marco's dance, and chatted with each other. Everyone was still talking about the Butterfly-Lucitor union, and the fiery Blood Moon dance. The ball lasted for several more hours before officially ending. As the guests left the hall, Queen Moon walked up to Star.

"Star I'm so proud of you. You were well behaved, and your decision will help the kingdom greatly."

"Thank's Mom."

They then embraced each other for a minute before letting go. "Now I'll be retiring for the nigh Star. Good night."

Star, Tom, Marco, and Moon bid Queen Moon goodnight before going to their rooms themselves. The four walked down the hallways silently with the occasional person congratulating Star and Tom. Tom and Star only nodded their heads as the adrenaline was wearing off. Everyone was tired from the ball, and they wanted to sleep. The four reached Star's room first, and Star and Tom went into her room leaving Moon and Marco. Moon and Marco left for his room in a hurry as they were already tired. They made his room in seven minutes, and Moon collapsed onto his bed. Marco yawned and went to the bathroom to change clothes. Moon stretched her body on the bed, and she tiredly thought about today's event. She was happy that Marco shared her feelings for him. 'Tonight was incredible' Moon thought happily. She wondered how a few days with Marco had made her fall for him. She contemplated this for a few moments before deciding that it was fate. Before she could think any further Marco exited the bathroom.

"Bathroom's free", Marco yawned.

Moon nodded and want into the bathroom to change. Marco's thoughts wandered to how the Blood Moon chose Moon over Star. He was considering how it was possible for the Blood Moon to possibly reassign pairings. 'Is it fate?' Marco wondered. Marco than wondered how long Star had feelings for him. At the end of the school year party Star did tell Marco she had a crush on him, but a couple of months later Star was dating Tom. Marco had thought that Star had moved on from him permanently, and he was heartbroken. Meeting Moon had eased his heartache and filled him with a new sense of determination. Moon proved to Marco that he could move on from Star, but today Star had shown that she still had some feelings for him. He still was conflicted in how to respond to Star after tonight, but one thing was certain, he loved Moon more. Moon finished changing after five minutes and invited Marco to brush his teeth. Marco got up and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth with Moon. They looked at each other lovingly while brushing their teeth.

When they were done brushing their teeth, Marco sat on the bed and patted on the bed to show Moon he wants to talk. Moon went to sit by Marco, and they both sat there quietly before Marco broke the ice.

"Tonight was something."

"It was Marco."

Marco blushed while asking, "So Moon do you actually have a crush on me?"

"I do Marco, you are the most understanding person ever. Do you have a crush on me?"

"Of course Moon, you're the nicest person I know."

"Thanks Marco. Welcome should probably go to sleep Marco."

Moon got up from the bed and waited for Marco to get into bed Marco moved to one side of the bed so Moon can get next to him. Moon snuggled next to Marco before hugging him. She whispered, " Good night handsome. "

"Good night Moon."

Marco embraced Moon as he was falling to sleep. Marco wondered what tomorrow had in store, but he knew he could take it because he had Moon. While they slept the Blood Moon shine brightly in the sky.

Meanwhile Star was ready to go to bed with her boyfriend Tom. Today she just announced her decision that Tom will be her prince. She should of been happy tonight, but she wasn't happy. Tom kept asking her if she was alright but every time Tom asked, she just told him she was tired. In truth Star was hurt that Marco chose Moon over her. Sure Star knew that Moon was close to Marco, but close enough to love each other? 'I knew him for a year for corn sakes!' Star thought angrily to herself. Tomorrow was another day and perhaps Marco will change his mind. Unlikely but there was a possibility for that. As Star closed her eyes, she could see the Moon briefly turning red before reverting back to it's original color.

Mysterious World

'Was the plan a success mistress?" , asked a cloaked figure.

" Everything is proceeding as i have foreseen", crackled a feminine voice, "Soon the multiverse shall tremble at my feet, just as they did many centuries ago."

The cloaked figure left the mistress in silence as she stared intently at the assembled forces she had. There were tens of thousands if not hundred of thousands of soldiers marching in front of her. It was a sight to behold. Each soldier was lined up with precision holding their weapons. They wore black armor with shoulder pads. The shoulder pads had a red sword with demonic wings around each side of the sword. In the sky there were fighters streaking overhead, going to a titanic vessel . The shadowy figure smirked to herself as her long awaited reemergence was coming soon. Nothing could stop her plans now.

"Now I will finally rule for eternity."

Mewni Prime

'Where am I?' wondered Moon. She had awoken in a black void with no end in sight. When looked around, but was no one. "Am I dreaming?", Moon said to no one. Moon drifted for what seemed like forever before she spotted a glimmer of light. She was curious to where she was and hoped that the light would perhaps provide answers. When she tried it o grab the light, it skipped out of her hand. Moon tried to grab it but it kept moving. 'Stupid light!" Moon thought angrily. But soon the light stopped moving and when Moon tried to grab it, it exploded in her hand.

The light was blinding, and Moon had to cover her eyes from the light. When the light ended, what she caused her blood to turn cold. It was her Mewni, but her kingdom was on fire. She was standing near Butterfly Castle. There were dead monsters everywhere, but no Mewmans in sight. She walked towards the castle, hoping to find answers. While she was walking to the castle she could hear a soft whimpering. Moon slowly walked to the house the sound came from and saw it was in ruins. There were burn marks everywhere with the furniture ruined. She walked to an overturned table. Inside of the table was a boy who was scared to death. The boy was no older than ten, and Moon felt terrible for the boy. The boy screamed, "No don't hurt me!"

" It's ok, it'll be alright. I won't hurt you", Moon said comfortingly.

"What happened here?"

" It was a normal day, the war just ended. My parents were celebrating the end with the monsters. But a huge shadow army appeared! They killed the monsters like nothing. Then a demon came and it killed everyone. The shadow killed the Mewmans. They killed them all! My mommy and daddy tried to protect me, but they died! "

The boy broke down, and Moon could only watch in despair. What war? Was this the future? Moon out a reassuring hand on his hand and said, " I'll leave to the castle to find answers, and I'll come back. "

"You promise you'll come back?"

" I promise I'll return. "

Moon walked out of the house to go to the castle. When dreaded at what she would find in the castle. If the damage was this terrible out here, then what types of horrors were waiting in the castle? When Moon reached the castle, she could see the remains of the royal guards, who died horribly. Upon closer inspection she could tell that the guards were killed by magic. As she walked to the throne room, she could see dozens of dead bodies, all Mewmans. When she reached the throne room, Moon could hear a slow chuckle coming from behind her. Moon immediately grabbed for her wand but found that the wand wasn't there. "Well Mewman scum, I did everything I could to improve your lives, but all I wanted was your support. Yet you couldn't", a mysterious figure snarled to a large group of Mewmans.

" We thought you would lose, so we switched sides", a man whimpered in fear.

"Please spare us! At least the children!" , a Butterfly pleaded.

"You all had your chance to plead. That was before you all betrayed me. You cost me everything. Now you will all die! ", screamed the mysterious figure.

" No! ", Moon screamed in horror as she tried to stop the massacre. She watched in horror as she couldn't do anything in her current state. She watched helplessly as the dark figure slaughtered the remaining Mewmans in rage. The figure saved a person for last, and Moon recognized the person as River. The dark figure chuckled humorously, "You know you were a great reformist, too bad your efforts were wasted."

" I'm sorry! I did what I thought was best for my kingdom. But please spare Janily! ", River pleaded.

" Hmm maybe I will", River breathed a small with of relief before the figure said cruelly, " so I can torture her for eternity! "

"No! What are you?" , River cried, "How could anyone become like this?"

"One word betrayal. You supported that stupid bitch, and you chose the wrong side. Goodbye River", the figure said before bringing down an eerily familiar sword down on River, severing him in half.

"No! " Moon cried loudly. She had just witnessed the destruction of her kingdom with the death of one her oldest friends. Moon couldn't take it anymore. She approached the figure and screamed, " Just kill me now!"

"Now why would I do that?", the figure giggled.

"You just killed everyone I knew you monster", Moon yelled.

"A monster from your point of view perhaps but not mine. And besides you haven't seen my face yet", the figure said.

The figure slowly pulled down the hood that was obstructing the figure's face. Moon's face turned white at seeing who it was. It couldn't be, it's impossible! Moon didn't want to believe what she saw, but the figure was in fact...

Moon woke up with a start. She had the worst nightmare possible. Was it even a nightmare? The more Moon thought about the more she believed that the dream was in fact a vision of a possible future. Moon was so terrified of the dream, she didn't wast to tell Marco about it. Moon could tell that Marco was still asleep and was grateful for the fact that she hadn't woken him up. Moon took several deep breathes to calm herself. She knew she had to tackle the dream eventually, but how so? She could tell someone, but she feared what their reaction would be. Moon knew she had to tell someone eventually, but she wanted to delay it as much as possible. Moon laid down again with Marco slowly. Her mind was still racing at the dream, or vision, and she refused to believe the identity of the figure. 'There was no way it was true' Moon tried to reassure herself. But a small part of her knew that the dream had been real, and a dire warning of an impending future.

After struggling to fall asleep, Moon decided to wake up and wash her face. 'Perhaps washing my face will help' Moon thought wearily. She left the bed to the faucet in the bathroom and turned on the sink. She felt relaxed as she washed her face with warm water. When she dried her face and looked at the mirror, she looked with horror a mutilated body was staring right back at her with a dead stare. "Ahhhhhh!", Moon screamed while she fell down. Moon looked at the mirror, but she didn't see the body anymore.

"Moon are you ok?!", Marco asked as he barged into the bathroom. Marco looked around and saw Moon looking at the mirror. She looked like she just saw a ghost.

"Just a bad dream Marco, it's nothing."

"Do you want to talk about your dream Moon."

"It's nothing important Marco really."

"When you said you had a crush on me yesterday, you have to be honest or we can't work out", Marco told Moon.

"Alright Marco I'll tell you my dream", Moon sighed wearily. She went back to his bed and patted the bed to show she wanted him to sit. Marco sat down quickly to listen to Moon. Moon quickly told Marco how she woke up in a dark void before spotting a light. She started chasing the light until when she grabbed it, it exploded. Then she woke up in her Mewni, but it was on fire with dead monsters everywhere. She saw a dark figure monologue how it lost its lover and mother before slaughtering the Mewmans. Marco paled when hearing this but urged her to continue her dream. Then the figure killed River, but the figure promised to torture Janily for eternity before killing River. The figure turned to Moon, but she woke up before the figure revealed its identity. Marco was shaking when Moon finished her dream, but he paled even more when she told him her theory that the dream was a vision of the future.

"Are you sure it was a vision. I mean that was pretty intense but surely this isn't a warning about the future", Marco asked hopefully.

"Marco I'm sure that the dream was a vision", Moon said confidently.

"If it is a vision of the future then what do we do about it?", Marco sighed in defeat.

"Currently we can't do anything until more of the dream's event unfold", Moon said.

"Alright but let's brush our teeth so we can have breakfast with Tom and Star. We wouldn't want to keep them waiting would we?"

They silently brushed their teeth in silence, thinking about the dream. 'Was it possible for the dream to be a vision?' Marco thought. He shook his head, trying to persuade himself that they could prevent the events in the dreams, but something told him that the events in the dream were already unfolding. Marco coulx only hope that they can alter the outcome of the impending events.

When he finished cleaning his teeth, Marco asked if Moon needed to use the bathroom to change, but she shook her head. Marco quickly changed his clothes to meet up with Star and Tom for breakfast. Marco finished quickly and opened the door. He saw that Moon had already changed into one of her casual dresses. They opened the door and walked down the hallway while holding hands.

They walked together silently, still thinking about Moon's dream. They both were worried about the possible events that would be taking place in the future. Moon was especially determined to alter the outcomes of the events as she didn't want the future to be bleak. They barely acknowledged the occasional guard congratulating the two on their dance. She didn't even bother nodding her head as she was too deep in thought. When they reached Star's room, Marco knocked on the door. The door opened almost immediately revealing Tom.

"Hey guys, we were about to go to your room", Tom said.

Marco grinned weakly, "Well we didn't want to keep you guys waiting."

Tom noted Marco's tone but decided not to dwell on it. "You guys are always thoughtful. I'm just waiting for Star now."

Speaking of Star she finished dressing up a few seconds after Tom spoke to them with a big smile on her face. "Tom I'm done!"

Star spotted Marco and waved, " Hi Marco", before spotting Moon, " and you too Moon!"

Marco could see Star's smile dim slightly, and he raised an eye. 'Is she jealous?' Marco thought. Marco shook his head and asked, "Who's ready for some breakfast?"

"I am!", Star shouted first.

Marco chuckled at Star's enthusiasm, she was always cheerful, before responding, "Then let's go."

The four walked down the hallway, with Moon and Marco being in a better mood from Star's enthusiasm, and they both talked about how the ball went. Tom complimented Moon and Marco's dancing skills, and the two said that his dance with Star was also very good. Star jumped in and said that her dance with Tom was usually like the one last night. Marco then asked what they were going to do today, and Tom said that today he would look up the Blood Moon in the demon archives. Star was accompanying him and that was unusual because Star usually hates reading. Moon then asked Tom if she and Marco could accompany them. Tom shrugged before saying it won't be a problem and more help could sort out the information quicker. Star was silently disappointed, but she didn't show it.

They soon reached the dining room and got a quick meal. They ate their meal quickly before Tom opened a portal into the Underworld. "Next stop, the demon archives!"

The four stepped into the archives and were met by a young demon archivist.

"What do I owe you the pleasure of meeting you today Prince Tom?", the young archivist asked.

"My friends and I need information about the Blood Moon and old records too. Do you also have records of Blood Moon oddities?"

"That information would be in the deep archives. You need special clearance to look at but since you are the prince, you automatically have the clearance to view the information."

"Thanks!", all four of the friends shouted.

"No problem", the young archivist said before returning to her usual duty.

The four went to a special staircase that lead directly to the deep archives. The deep archives were the most secure archives after the forbidden archives. The deep archives could only be acessed by demon royalty or with a special blessing by the royalty. 'Why would information about the Blood Moon be secretive?' thought Tom. They reached the deep archives after walking down the stairs for several minutes. Tom questioned the need to make the stairs so long and wondered what information was down there. Tom spotted the entrance of the archive, guarded by a full squad of eight knights, and spoke up, " I require information from the hidden archive. Move aside."

"As you wish Prince Tom", the captain bowed before opening the door to the archive. He opened several locks to unlock the door. "Let us know when you're ready to leave so we can open the door."

Tom thanked the captain as Tom motioned for Star, Moon, and Marco to come inside of the deep archives. There was nobody besides them in the archives currently. The archives were brightly lit by magic driven flames that were spread around the room. The archives were filled with dark obsidian bookcases and boxes, full of information. The four began to look up any information related to the Blood Moon. Fortunately because the Blood Moon was so important to the demons, all of the information regarding the Blood Moon was organized into one section. Each one of them grabbed a stack of papers and books and carried their load onto the nearest table. They scanned through thr avaliable information.

Moon was reading through a scroll called 'The Abilities of the Blood Moon,' and what she read was interesting. Apparently with the Blood Moon there was a little known ability with the Blood Moon where a pair could telepathically communicate with each other. 'That would be interesting being able to talk with Marco through our minds' Moon thought. Another largely unknown ability was the ability to share magical abilities between a pair. If even one person could wield magic, the other person could probably wield some magic. She kept reading the scroll and found more interesting abilities with the Blood Moon. She wondered if she could use some of the abilities while she was reading through the scroll.

Star was meanwhile trying to stay as far away from Moon without looking suspicious. She knew that she shouldn't be jealous with Moon, but Star couldn't help herself from doing so. Star wanted to stay away from Moon this afternoon, so Star wanted to accompany Tom today. Moon however foiled her plans as Moon asked Tom if she could go. Star now couldn't leave unless she would cause everyone to be suspicious with her. 'Why can't I get over Marco?' Star thought to herself. She knew why she couldn't completely move on from Marco. He was understanding with all of her flaws, and he always encouraged her individuality. He was also excellent at cooking as she adored his nachos. Star shook her head miserably before reading the next page.

Marco meanwhile was browsing through a book titled 'They Origins of the Blood Moon'. The book contained the earliest stories from previous Blood Moons. Apparently the oldest surviving record of the Blood Moon was around 70,000 years old, but there is evidence that Blood Moons had taken place even before that. The book detailed how a pair of binded people would always fall in love with each other no matter what. 'Would Star fall in love with me if I hadn't met Moon?' Marco wondered. wondered He flipped throught he page and was surprised to see how old the Lucitor kingdom was. The original kingdom was founded around three thousand years ago by Gilte the Magnificant. His bloodline still exists nowadays with the modern royal family. He continued to scroll through the book but found nothing relevent .

Tom was meanwhile searching through a book called the 'Blood Moon 101'. It covered the basics of the Blood Moon and what it did. Most of the content in the book Tom knew already, but he did learn a few things. He learnt that the Blood Moon could choose two people even though they have never met before, though this was extremely rare. The two people will eventually meet each other and fall in love. Apparently there was an old theory that the Blood Moon chose the pair by comparing all possible matches for the best score before chosing a pair. The score depended on the two people's personalities, values, and morals but didn't regard politics. The theory was eventually abandoned thousands of years ago. Tom shook his head at the theory as the Blood Moon wasn't alive right?

The four searched for six hours, and the group was on the verge of calling it a day before Tom found something that could be relevant.

"Guys I think I found something!", Tom shouted at the other three.

Marco, Moon, and Star dropped the item they were reading and sped towards Tom. Marco was the first one to reach Tom.

"What did you find Tom?", Marco asked.

"I'm not sure, but can someone read it out loud?", Tom answered.

"I'll read it", Moon replied.

"It says extremely rare occurrences with the Blood Moon. One bonding between two people from different dimensions. Only a few pairings have been recorded. Skip! Next it says bonding between two different species, nope! Come on! Show yourself", Moon groaned in frustration before spotting something, " Bonding between three people. Here it is! Only two known cases have occurred ever. It is a result of when the first person is bonded with a person he/she knows while there is another weaker bonding with an unknown person. If the first person finds the unknown person, the first person will have to pick between the unknown person or previously bonded person. Either choice will result in the rejected person's bond to slowly disappear."

There was a lengthy silence before Star asked, " So because Marco chose Moon, my bond with Marco will disappear?"

"It appears so Starship, but that means you can be with me without the Blood Moon", Tom answered her.

Star nodded numbly at her boyfriend. She hoped that she would have a bond with Marco still, but now it seems unlikely. Star sighed in defeat as she knew she would have to move on from Marco no matter how hard it will be.

The four were about to leave, but Moon's eyes widened at one of the last pages of the book. The section was short, but the content was explosive. She read silently ' Nine hundred years ago a strange traveler came to visit the Lucitor kingdom. The stranger was a female with star shaped cheekmarks. She claimed to be from another reality and was looking for refuge. Her name was Vega Butterfly'. Moon was speechless, but she was certain about one thing, Vega had used her reality crossing spell before.

And that wraps up the chapter. Who are the two mysterious figures? Only time will tell. Sorry for the late update. But I'll be back on schedule soon. Until next time, Peace!
